Seine berndeutschen Chansons sind ein fester Teil des kulturellen Gedächtnisses der Schweiz, werden von Generation zu Generation weitergetragen und -gesungen und auch immer wieder neu interpretiert. Aber was war Mani Matter für ein Mensch, wie hat er die Welt gesehen, was hat ihn umgetrieben und inspiriert? Und vor allem: Wie entstanden seine phänomenalen Lieder, die uns bis heute nicht loslassen?
