90'S PEPPERSEED RETRO PARTY SENSATION SOUND X DJ ROY X DJ ANDREW X SHOWTIME SEND 5.30.26 LIVE AUDIO by DJ ROY
The most loaded episode of Receipts & Reactions to date. John Cash pulls up the receipts on four stories that have the culture completely out of pocket... and gives you everything the internet is talking about, unfiltered. This week: Drake makes Billboard history with three albums dropping simultaneously... and the song that broke Michael Jackson's all-time record is called "Janice STFU." Tony Hinchcliffe tells a George Floyd joke at Kevin Hart's Netflix roast and sends the internet into full meltdown... and Kevin Hart has to hit The Breakfast Club to explain himself. Floyd Mayweather gets declared a father by default because he refused to show up to court... and gets ordered to pay almost a million dollars in back child support. And Red Lobster announces it's closing its Times Square flagship location on June 14th after 23 years. Plus: it's Pride Month. Love is love. We see you. ───────────────────────────────────── IN THIS EPISODE ───────────────────────────────────── DRAKE — ICEMAN, HABIBTI & MAID OF HONOUR Drake dropped three albums simultaneously and made history. ICEMAN debuted at #1, HABIBTI at #2, and MAID OF HONOUR at #3 on the Billboard 200... the first artist ever to hold the top three spots at the same time. Then "Janice STFU" debuted at #1 on the Hot 100, making Drake the solo male artist with the most #1 singles in Billboard history... surpassing Michael Jackson's record of 13. John breaks down the numbers, delivers the quip of the year, and asks the debate question your comments section won't stop arguing about. THE ROAST OF KEVIN HART — NETFLIX CONTROVERSY On May 10th, Netflix aired The Roast of Kevin Hart live from the Kia Forum in LA. Tony Hinchcliffe's George Floyd joke ignited immediate backlash. Chelsea Handler called it racist. Kevin Hart went on The Breakfast Club to defend himself and said, "Remove me from it. I didn't say it." John has the full breakdown, the actual joke, the fallout, and the talking points including what Katt Williams said that night that nobody is discussing. FLOYD MAYWEATHER — DEFAULT JUDGMENT, DEFAULT DAD A Nevada court declared Floyd Mayweather the father of a four-year-old girl named Price Moorehead... the daughter of a dancer at his own Las Vegas strip club, Girl Collection. Floyd was served legal papers twice, ordered to take a DNA test, and ignored all of it. The judge gave him a default judgment and ordered him to pay $933,050 in back child support plus $32,850 per month. Floyd has paid $151,000. There's also a $7.3M IRS tax lien. And a $340 million Showtime lawsuit. John's got all the receipts. RED LOBSTER — TIMES SQUARE CLOSING JUNE 14TH The Times Square flagship location at 5 Times Square is closing permanently on June 14th, 2026 — ending a 23-year run in one of the most visible dining locations in the world. The building is being converted to residential apartments. John gives the Cheddar Bay Biscuits the send-off they deserve. ───────────────────────────────────── CONNECT WITH JOHN CASH ───────────────────────────────────── Stream on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and everywhere podcasts are available. What did that experience teach you about the business of music?-After the show ended for you, what was the emotional transition like, from national stage to rebuilding your path?Social Media + Modern Artist Reality-You've embraced social media as a tool—how did that shift your mindset from traditional performance to digital presence?-Do you ever feel tension between creating for art versus creating for algorithm?“This conversation right here… it's a reminder that artistry isn't just about the spotlight, it's about growth, discipline, and believing in your voice even when the world gets quiet. Editors - Laura Zempel, ACE and Lauren Connelly, ACE Although BEEF - Season 2 editors Laura Zempel and Lauren Connelly are working together for the first time, this is Laura's second season working on the series. But despite being new to one another, Laura's and Lauren's talents seamlessly combined to tackle a complex, character-driven "slow burn" with multiple storylines that required a delicate balancing of tone, including both dark comedy and psychological drama. Created by Korean director Lee Sung Jin (Sonny Lee) for Netflix, Season 2 of BEEF stars Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan as Joshua Martin and Lindsay Crane-Martin, and Cailee Spaeny and Charles Melton as Ashley and Austin, two couples; the poor latter two blackmailing the rich former two, using footage Ashley shot of a heated argument which would threaten their image. Similar to Season 1, this incident escalates into a prolonged feud and a game of cat-and-mouse...minus one dog. LAURA ZEMPEL In addition to her Emmy®-winning work on BEEF - Season 1, Laura's skills as an editor can be seen in another Netflix series, SIRENS (2025). She has also worked on EUPHORIA (2019-22), DISPATCHES FROM ELSEWHERE (2020) and ROOM 104 (2017-19). Prior to that, she assisted on HOUSE OF CARDS (2014), DEXTER (2011-13) and IF I CAN DREAM (2010). LAUREN CONNELLY, ACE Originally from Chantilly, Virginia, Lauren graduated from The University of Southern California with a B.A. in Cinema-Television Production. Past credits include television shows such as MO on Netflix, GASLIT on Starz, MASTERS OF SEX on Showtime, THE STRAIN on FX, and THE SON on AMC. Recent feature films include SITTING IN BARS WITH CAKE for Amazon Studios, A TOURIST'S GUIDE TO LOVE on Netflix, and Rodrigo Garcia's FOUR GOOD DAYS, which premiered at Sundance. Marc's Miserable Marvelous May takes a turn towards Sexy Town with 1995's Black Scorpion. We're joined by Joan Severance super-fan and host of Get Me Another Podcast, Chris Iannacone. Made for Showtime, Black Scorpion is the first in a series of made-for-cable movies and a series. As Chris wisely points out, "it's Batman for Skinamax". Black Scorpion may not be what you're expecting and that's what makes it so much fun. Darcy Walker (Black Scorpion) is on a mission to rid Angel City of evildoers and "do" her former police partner. While he is worried about a potential HR violation, she knows that with some latex and an eye mask, he'll never know it's her. This brings up a legitimate question. If your co-worker or friend or spouse put on a mask and proceeded to romance you, would you think it was a completely different person? Be honest. We also really show our age with this episode. We talk about the challenges of trying to get through a 2 and a half hour movie in one sitting when your getting up there in years. There are two Robert Eurich references. We discuss the reboot of Love Boat and Side Out, the best volleyball movie ever made. There is an above average amount of "dongle talk". We get a visit by Jan from HR. We also flesh out a little more planning for Steamin'. We're looking for body doubles (especially in the wang department. We're also looking for financing. Steamin' demands a big budget. And big wangs. It's the end of an era! Or at least a season. For the finale of season 5, Nadeem wanted "...options for films that you have suggested that we haven't picked." Chat GPT understood the assignment and suggested Bob Fosse's autobiographical "All That Jazz" for the next movie review. Mita waxes poetic about Bravo.

Recorded at the 2026 edition of the Berlin International Film Festival, this episode sees Naemi Victoria catching up with two impactful and thought-provoking films screening at the festival.First, she speaks with filmmaker Fanny Texier about her powerful short A Woman's Place Is Everywhere, which won The Silver Bear Jury Prize for Best Short Film. Set in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the film identical twin sisters Emilija and Ona as they face grief, looming eviction and an uncertain future after the sudden death of their mother. Then, Naemi is joined by director Fil Ieropoulos and writer Foivos Dousos to discuss Uchronia, a bold and visually expansive docu-essay inspired by Arthur Rimbaud's Une Saison en Enfer. The film follows the ghost of the French poet on a time-travelling journey through alternative histories, revolutionary politics and queer resistance.A Woman's Place Is Everywhere Identical twin sisters Emilija and Ona have lived in a rent-controlled warehouse loft in Williamsburg, Brooklyn for as long as they can remember. After the sudden death of their mother – a Lithuanian artist and dancer who first called the loft home in the 1970s – they find themselves on the brink of eviction. The neighbourhood has transformed; the landlord wants them out. Adding to the turmoil, Ona discovers she is pregnant. Fanny TexierThe documentary filmmaker was born in Paris, France and is now based in Brooklyn. She studied journalism at the University of Montreal and has a master's degree from the Sorbonne. As a feminist director, she is drawn to intimate and unusual stories, particularly those of women and individuals who are under-represented in traditional media. Her work has been presented by organisations including HBO, Netflix, “The New Yorker”, the BBC and Showtime. She recently participated in the Film at Lincoln Center Artists Academy and the newportFILM lab to develop her debut feature-length documentary.UchroniaIn this docu-essay inspired by Arthur Rimbaud's “Une Saison en Enfer”, we meet the French poet's ghost embarking on a time-travel adventure. His delirious visions become portals opening onto alternative timelines – or “uchronias”. Rimbaud gains the opportunity to meet revolutionary figures such as Emma Goldman, David Wojnarowicz and Marsha P. Johnson. Together, they explore the possibility of social change and reflect on the meaning of revolution in times of disillusionment. Inspired by the rich history of 20th-century experimental queer cinema, the film is a celebration of enfants terribles and dissident freaks across the globe. Ultimately, the film considers the current political milieu and its parallels with Rimbaud's own time. Could post-internet ennui and widespread defeatism be understood through the eyes of a late 19th-century decadent poet? Fil Ieropoulos, DirectorFil studied film, cultural studies and communication in the UK, completing a PhD in film poetry at the University of Kent in 2010. Since 2003, he has been a senior lecturer at Buckinghamshire New University, teaching video art, film theory and animation. His first feature, Orfeas2021, premiered at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival and was nominated for Greek Film Academy awards. His second feature, Avant-Drag!, premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and has been selected for over 70 international festivals, earning a Special Jury Mention at the Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival.Foivos Dousos, WriterFoivos completed his PhD on narcissism in new media cultures in 2019. He was a contributing curator for the Athens Biennale and was a founding member of Sound Acts Festival, the Athens Museum of Queer Arts (AMOQA) and the publishing initiative Queer Ink. The Content Gods delivered an absolute goldmine of press conference quotes for this Wednesday episode! Andy joins Brendan fresh off of U.S. Open Media Day at Shinnecock Hills and he airs some grievances about all facets of Long Island without PJ present. The two discuss whether Shinnecock is possibly the best golf course in the world and remember the most iconic shots from previous U.S. Opens played in Southampton. After a brief tangent regarding the new programmatic ads inserted into the audio version of the show - there's a first time for everything! - things get back on track with three major LIV stories from Tuesday. First, Jon Rahm has reached an agreement with the DP World Tour to pay all outstanding fines and pay the necessary events to retain membership. Rahm suggested that concessions were made on both sides, but the DPWT is merely forcing him to play one fewer event. Rahm also had some interesting comments regarding his future with LIV Golf, saying "I don't see many ways out," when asked about his contract. While Rahm got existential, Bryson DeChambeau spent the day at the White House alongside Todd Golden, Noah Syndergaard, and TJ Oshie among other "sports stars" as part of a new initiative from President Trump. He also revealed his plans for the future of his YouTube channel, including dubbing his videos into different languages to give the world a reason to watch YouTube! Before the LIV main event, there is a brief Truist Championship preview segment as the PGA Tour returns to Quail Hollow after last year's major championship delay. Rory McIlroy is back after another Masters win, Xander Schauffele looks to re-insert himself into the major conversation, and this Gambling Podcast looks to stay hot on picks! The two run through the rest of the Schedule for the Week, including an alternate event featuring Brooks Koepka, the LPGA's stop in New Jersey, and a Tiger Woods-less Insperity Invitational. It is then SHOWTIME for this episode, as Brendan does a dramatic reading of today's Scott O'Neil press conference at LIV Virginia. From 50+ mentions of "business" to a ridiculous Mother's Day greeting, you will not want to miss these quotes as LIV kicks off its first United States-based event of 2026. "It was really sort of a Blitzkrieg assault approach where I wrote many, many scripts and emailed everybody I knew, and entered scripts into screenwriting competitions. "While I was living in New York I paid for a pitch fest in L.A. I flew out there to this event where you had five minutes to pitch different companies, like Lionsgate Motion Pictures. It was like speed dating for screenwriters. Eventually, I got one of my scripts into the hands of The Asylum and that eventually became 'Born Bad,' which was a made-for Lifetime TV movie. When they told me they liked that script and they wanted me, well, that was amazing!" Jared Cohn is a film/TV director, writer, and producer based in Los Angeles, CA. He has directed over 50 films that have been produced and distributed by major studios and distributed by major studios and production companies such as Netflix, Hulu, Showtime, Syfy, Lifetime, and many more. His book, 50 Movies Made: Lessons Learned on a Filmmaker's Journey, chronicles his life through the Hollywood trenches and how he achieved his lifelong dream on the other side. In the book, he discusses all areas of the movie making process, from screenwriting and preproduction to production, post-production and distribution. Bonus Episode #68 of BGMania: A Video Game Music Podcast. Today on the show, Bryan reviews PRAGMATA, Capcom's first original franchise in eight years. Set aboard a lunar research station called the Cradle, PRAGMATA follows Hugh, a spacefarer left stranded after everything goes sideways, and Diana, a young android with no memory of what happened to the facility or its people. Together, they have to fight their way through a station that has turned hostile and find a way back to Earth. This Musical Review covers the full game across eight segments, including the environmental design and atmosphere of the Cradle's varied sectors, the story's themes of connection and survival, the inventive dual-character combat system built around exploration and real-time hacking, and the progression systems that give the experience its backbone. The episode also dedicates a full segment to the original score by Yasumasa Kitagawa of the Capcom Sound Team, how the music handles the tension between the game's cold sci-fi setting and its deeply human core, and where it excels and where it falls just slightly short. In the world of basketball, defense is just as important as offense. And when it comes to locking down the opposing team's top scorers, few players in NBA history can match the skills of 5x champion as a key member of the Showtime Lakers and 1987 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Michael Cooper. In this video, Coop takes us on a deep dive into his top five defensive assignments. From guarding the likes of Larry Bird and Isiah Thomas to shutting down George Gervin and Alex English, Cooper proved time and time again that he was one of the best defenders to ever step onto the court. But what made Cooper so special? It wasn't just his quick hands or his ability to read the offense. It was his commitment to studying his opponents and understanding their tendencies. Cooper knew that defense was about more than just stopping a player from scoring - it was about disrupting their rhythm, throwing them off their game, and forcing them to make mistakes. Throughout this video, he breaks down each of defensive assignment and provides insights into his techniques, strategies, and mindset. We'll see how he used his length and agility to frustrate top scorers in the 1980's NBA. So if you're ready to go inside the mind of an NBA defensive legend, join in and explore Michael Cooper's top five defensive assignments in NBA history. You won't be disappointed! Things kick off in the Bathroom, which—shockingly—turns into way more discussion than any room with that name deserves. We get a mix of questionable habits, oversharing, and the kind of stories that make you rethink ever touching a public door handle again. It's part therapy session, part “why are we like this?”From there, the show spirals (as it does) into a blend of daily comedy chaos, with random tangents, dumb debates, and the kind of observational humor that only makes sense at 6 a.m. The crew bounces between weird personal confessions, listener-style hypotheticals, and those “this can't be real but it is” moments that somehow keep piling up.Naturally, no stretch would be complete without some light roasting, a few moments of “did they really just say that?”, and at least one conversation that goes completely off the rails before anyone can stop it. It's the perfect mix of funny podcast energy and “we should probably move on… but we won't.”And then we land the plane the only way this show knows how—Jelly Bean Roulette. Because nothing says “professional morning show” like willingly risking your taste buds (and dignity) on mystery flavors that could either be delicious… or deeply regrettable. Reactions range from confident to instantly betrayed, and it wraps the segment in pure, chaotic payoff.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.10 Things From the 2000s That Are Now Collectible—and ValuableWest Memphis junior high teacher charged with assault after incident involving student‘Unfortunate accident': Family of Washington toddler attacked by river otter will receive $350KBATON BOOB Horror moment conductor knocks £1MILLION violin out of musician's hands with baton in the middle of a concertRed hair may be increasing as study points to surprising evolution trendNational Picnic Day (April 23)Man accused of dancing naked at Columbia Aldi charged with misdemeanorEckert's Farm announces early start to strawberry seasonChina family creates AI clone to comfort elderly mum after only son dies in car accidentMeta to start capturing employee mouse movements, keystrokes for AI training dataFor $700 a Month, Sleeping Pods Make SF More Affordable, but at What Cost?Public urination in NYC sees 50% surge in just one yearSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
