In this conversation, Richard Gage, a renowned architect, discusses the events of 9/11, focusing particularly on the collapse of Building 7. He challenges the official narrative provided by NIST, presenting evidence that suggests controlled demolition rather than fire caused the building's collapse. Gage highlights eyewitness accounts of explosions, the role of thermite, and the destruction of evidence in the aftermath. He also explores the broader implications of 9/11, including motivations behind the attacks and their impact on global politics.takeaways9/11 was a pivotal event that shaped global politics.Building 7's collapse is often overlooked but crucial to understanding 9/11.The official narrative of the collapse is challenged by evidence of controlled demolition.Eyewitness accounts report explosions prior to the collapse of the buildings.Thermite may have been used in the demolition of the buildings. The destruction of evidence post-9/11 raises serious concerns about the investigation. Many architects and engineers demand a new investigation into 9/11.The motivations behind 9/11 include geopolitical and economic factors. The narrative of 9/11 has parallels with other global events, including COVID-19.Public awareness and critical thinking are essential in understanding historical events.titlesUnraveling 9/11: The Truth Behind Building 7The Collapse of Building 7: A Controlled Demolition?Sound Bites"The building came down at freefall.""Molten iron was found in the debris.""There was no plane that hit Building 7."Chapters00:00Introduction to 9/11 and Its Implications02:56The Collapse of Building 7: An Overview10:38Investigating the Official Narrative18:16Witness Accounts and Explosions30:40Thermite and the Evidence43:27Conclusion: Call for a New Investigation45:06Introduction to the Film Series on 9/1146:45Exploring the Mechanics of Building Collapse48:22Theories of Collapse: NIST vs. Controlled Demolition52:26Eyewitness Accounts of Explosions55:32Symmetry and Asymmetry in the Collapse01:01:28The Role of Concrete in the Collapse01:04:33Access and Preparation for Demolition01:10:47Destruction of Evidence and Its Implications01:14:32Motivations Behind 9/11: A Broader Perspective01:17:14Parallels Between 9/11 and COVID-1901:20:23YOUTUBE - OUTRO (NEW).mp4 Visit us at RichardGage911.orgSupport the show

We're back with our latest episode, examining how the rope of crony corruption binds our politics asymmetrically - a pattern we've been observing for over twenty years in American politics and media. The heart of our conversation explores how right-wing media continues to dominate local airwaves while progressive voices face constant scrutiny and advertising challenges. I'll take you back to 2005 to show how little has changed - or how much worse it's gotten. In other news, FAFO hits federal workers as their own MAGA families fail to sympathize. “The idea of analytic neutrality, which was more or less a cliche truth when I was training back in the 1980s, is clearly getting at something very important, which is that we mustn't try to pre-conceive where the patient's development is going to take him or her. But that doesn't mean that the development is not in a direction. Aristotle famously said that the human being is a ‘zoon politikon', a creature who belongs in a somewhat structured society. Healthy development is in that sort of direction as we become more integrated, as our ‘ghosts become more like ancestors', to use that famous metaphor. We become more aware of the reality of other people and their real as opposed to their fantasy importance in the ecosystem of which we are all part. And this makes possible the sort of ethical realization that Levinas was talking about. We recognize the reality of the other. We discover that we are interconnected. We are part of something that is hugely greater than ourselves and that goes beyond our knowing. But of course, that doesn't mean that we are not also selfish and unique selves. It's that we are under pressure, so to speak, from both quarters.” Episode Description: We begin with David's description of Freud's view of religion as offering "compellingly attractive" illusions in the face of the helplessness we face by life's and death's unpredictability. Alternatively, David suggests that religions provide 'objects', ie Gods, that are importantly allegorical and offer an ‘ethical seriousness' over time. We discuss the ability of these allegories to offer possibilities of 'transcendence' in a world that he sees as often limited to the material. He presents Levinas' view of the responsibility we all have when encountering "the face of the other" - a responsibility that is not chosen but "slipped into my consciousness like a thief." We consider the ethical differences between one's superego and one's conscience. We close with David sharing with us the vicissitudes of his early life that, as for us all, form a context for our later interests. Our Guest: David Black studied philosophy and Eastern religions before training in London, first as a pastoral counsellor and later as a psychoanalyst. He is a Fellow of the British Psychoanalytical Society, now retired, who has written widely on psychoanalysis in relation to matters of ethics and religion. In 2006 he edited Psychoanalysis and Religion in the Twenty-first Century. He has published two collections of his own psychoanalytic papers, most recently Psychoanalysis and Ethics: the Necessity of Perspective. He is also a poet and translator, whose translation of Dante's Purgatorio was published in 2021 in the New York Review of Books Classics series. Chris Thompson from Defector joins us to discuss the story that almost drove him insane: his exposé on Color Star, a former Chinese concrete provider turned metaverse grift.
In his second Sophia Lecture, Dr Iain McGilchrist gives a bracing, counterintuitive account of the fundamental categories of our experience of the world. McGilchrist shows how fundamental binaries—such as stasis and motion, simplicity and complexity, order and randomness, and even straight lines and curves—do not occur in nature in ways that conform to our assumptions about an inert, independent, and predictable universe. Drawing from disciplines as disparate as physics, mathematics, biology and art, McGilchrist shows that asymmetry is not simply a principle of vitality, harmony, and beauty. McGilchrist argues that asymmetry is primary, a reality that is prior to symmetry and which forms the basis of the very symmetries in nature and the arts to which it gives rise. The dynamism which results from the drive to balance and to resist balance is at the root of the vigor of natural systems, the beauty that they embody, and which the arts then reflect. With examples ranging from the elegance of the golden ratio to the structure of the human brain, McGilchrist's lecture offers a fresh perspective on the nature of patterns in complex systems and human creations. His work invites us to search for wholeness, harmony, and connection from a set of starting points which are as surprising as they are fruitful; as always, he challenges us to see our world in new—and newly unified—ways. Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions: Kenzie: My mom recently got a colonoscopy and they found very large polyps. They removed them but said it's genetic. Any other cause of this? Root causes? Anonymous: Good Morning Dr. Cabral! As someone who travels alot and travels abroad sometimes, how do you travel with your supplements? I have an upcoming trip in May out of the country and am worried about Customs causing an issue about me packing my supplements (a 7-day vitamin pill tray with my daily vitamins, plus a bottle of Magnesium powder, and a bottle of protein powder). I really want to be able to feel my best and still prioritize my health while traveling. Do you have any advice or experience traveling internationally through Customs with your supplements? Pati: Hi Dr Cabral Back in 2021 I ended up getting Bells Palsy from extreme stress. To this day my face is not symmetrical as the muscles on my unaffected side are much stronger than my affected side and I'm assuming the nerve damage that probably won't repair at this point. I don't want to get Botox injections but was wondering what other suggestions you may have. I have tried acupuncture and different stretches but I did develop synkinesis which is causing asymmetry. I try to count my blessing but am having a hard time. I miss my smile and who I used to be before this. Do you have any suggestions for me as far as healing? I appreciate any advice. Grateful for all you do! Diane: Is there a way that I can get rid of rosacea? Anonymous: Hi Dr. Cabral- thank you for all the lives you are changing :). What is your opinion on a clean nut milk, used just in coffee? I know nuts and seeds oxidize when they are made into oils and I was wondering about your opinion on when they are turned into a "milk", specifically macadamia nut milk? I stay away from cows milk and almond milk since I am somewhat sensitive to them. Thank you again - have a wonderful day! This is our Sunday morning Bible study based on the book "Biblical Critical Theory" by Christopher Watkin and taught by Pastor Taylor Ince.
Why is our subjective experiences and cultural context inseparable from our scientific theories and attempts to be objective? Why is it that the more we know, the more we know we don't know? What does reductionist materialism miss out from the scientific picture and what does a post-reductionist science look like? How can understanding some of materialism's incompleteness help us face humanity's greatest problems? In this episode we have the blind spots of enlightenment science to assess; we're going to be investigating the common belief that science can provide a universal, objective, God-like perspective of the truth of things, independent from our human experience. We're also going to look at the implications of the consensus in science that all phenomena can be reduced to solely material causes, and what that may be missing out. To assess this we're going to be looking at data from cosmology, biology, cognitive science and quantum physics and thinking about the assumptions that are so baked in to our western scientific approaches, that we may have forgotten they're assumptions at all. In order to do this we're going to be speaking to Brazilian professor of theoretical physics at Dartmouth College, Marcelo Gleiser. Marcelo works on a range of topics from Cosmology and information theory, to the history and philosophy of science, and how science and culture interact. He's also the author of many popular science books including most recently, “the Dawn of Mindful Universe: A manifesto for humanities future” and his new 2024 book which we'll be focusing on today, “The Blind Spot: Why Science Cannot Ignore Human Experience”, Co-authored with astronomer Adam Frank and philosopher Evan Thompson, who will be not he show in the next series. Gleiser's also the first South American recipient of the prestigious Templeton Science prize for his standpoint that science, philosophy and spirituality are complementary expressions of humanities deep need to explore the unknown. I have wanted to speak to Marcelo about the limits of science and a post-reductionist approach to science since he was recommended by my previous guest psychiatrist and brain-hemisphere researcher Dr. Iain McGilchrist in the series one episode “Navigating beyond Materialism”, and I'm extremely glad I followed him up on it. What we discuss: 00:00 Intro 06:14 Asymmetry is also beautiful. 11:40 The more you know, the more you know you don't know. 18:00 ‘Interbeing' - buddhism and the philosophy of science. 22:00 Bacteria are our ancestors. 23:00 Sacred ancestral knowledge - belonging & gratitude for nature. 30:00 Extremely unlikely chemical steps and extinction events required for life to develop. 35:00 The chances of intelligent technological life on other planets. 37:00 Fine-tuned for life VS the anthropic principle. 50:30 Post-enlightenment sacredness. 52:00 The rise of reductionism. 01:03:30 Newton was troubled by his theory. 01:08:37 Strongly and weakly emergent phenomena. 01:12:00 Downward or upward causation? Dualism or monism? 01:17:50 Scientific concepts are stories, and stories are simplifications too. 01:21:20 “The Blind Spot: Why science cannot ignore human experience”. 01:26:31 “Sureptitious substitution” of concepts for experiences. 01:28:45 Is consciousness fundamental? 01:42:45 Blindspots in the hard sciences - jumps that are too big. 01:53:30 Marcelo''s new “The Island of Knowledge' centre in Tuscany. Quote: “Gravity must be caused by an agent, acting constantly according to certain laws; but whether this agent be material or immaterial, I have left to the consideration of my readers.” — Sir Isaac Newton (Third letter to Bentley, 25 Feb 1693) References: Marcelo Gleiser, “The Blind Spot: How science must take include human experience”. On this episode, Dr. John Stenberg sits down with Dr. Randy Culig to discuss the difference between x-ray and CBCT in upper cervical practice. Takeaways Understanding the biomechanics of the cervical spine is crucial in upper cervical care. Asymmetry is prevalent in the upper cervical spine and plays a significant role in misalignments. CBCT provides a clear view of the articulations and allows for a more comprehensive analysis. Early adoption of CBCT in Orthospinology requires manual measurement and analysis. Integrating different techniques and taking a patient-centric approach is essential in upper cervical care. CBCT imaging provides valuable information for upper cervical chiropractic care Understanding the unique anatomy and architecture of each patient is crucial Important findings such as elongated styloids and narrow canals can be identified with CBCT Precision in adjusting techniques based on these findings can lead to improved outcomes Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is beneficial for patients Check out Dr. Culig's Website here: https://www.pierceuc.com/ View the speaker line-up and register for the Orthospinology Symposium here: https://www.orthospinology.org/ View the speaker line-up and register for the Blair Annual Conference here: https://www.blairtechnique.com/2024blairconference/

(Conversation recorded on May 5th, 2024) Show Summary: In this episode, Nate welcomes back Daniel Schmachtenberger to unpack a new paper, which he co-authored, entitled Development in Progress, an analysis on the history of progress and the consequences of ‘advancement'. Current mainstream narratives sell the story that progress is synonymous with betterment, and that the world becomes better for everyone as GDP and economies continue to grow. Yet, this is an incomplete portrayal that leaves out the dark sides of advancement. What are the implications when only the victors of history write the narratives of progress and define societal values? What are the value systems embedded in our institutions and policies, and how do they reinforce the need for ongoing growth at the expense of the natural world and human well-being? Finally, how do we change these dynamics to form a new, holistic definition of progress that accounts for the connectedness of our planet to the health of our minds, bodies, and communities? The full paper discussed in this episode will be available on The Consilience Project website in the near future. About Daniel Schmachtenberger: Daniel Schmachtenberger is a founding member of The Consilience Project, aimed at improving public sensemaking and dialogue. The throughline of his interests has to do with ways of improving the health and development of individuals and society, with a virtuous relationship between the two as a goal. Towards these ends, he's had a particular interest in catastrophic and existential risk, with focuses on civilization collapse and institutional decay. His work also includes an analysis of progress narratives, collective action problems, and social organization theories. These themes are all connected through close study of the relevant domains in philosophy and science.
