Nadja helped lemlist scale 1->10M+ ARR quickly as 1st sales hire. Taking ownership of her career was a game changer for her. Nadja Komnenic grew up in Serbia, where sales is not a respected career path. Here are the 5 key take aways from Nadja's sales journey on our podcast: 1️⃣ Don't wait for others to make you successful This allowed her to move quickly in a hyper-growth company. Instead, she learnt sales from podcasts, interviews, blogs etc. Nadja did not wait for Guillaume Moubeche for guidance to execute. 2️⃣ Be adamant with your time management Nadja worked all day, every day early in her career. At one point, she realised that taking a step back is highly useful. She prefers to be adamant with her time management vs time blockers. 3️⃣ Imagine if you had 0 tech in sales. Doing things 100% manually has huge value. Go “customer first”, imagine a day in the life of your buyer. Only once validated move to scale and automate sales motion. 4️⃣ Make peers successful to spark action. Great coaching & training is technically useful. But reps will only take relentless action once peers succeed. Even initially resistant reps will adopt new practices once they see success. 5️⃣ Focus on what you can control - on average. Set your own goals for activities to be successful. Ask yourself regularly “What could I have done better?” If you do what you & your leader expected from you… …but the outcome is not there - let's analyse it together. #salessuccess #podcast #startupsales #startup #salesplaybook #b2bsaas

How To Use Storytelling To Craft Compelling Cold Emails;  Let's be honest, who really likes receiving a run of the mill cold email or DM on social media?   Nobody. Without personalisation, uniqueness and value...it's a waste of time for everybody involved. So what is the alternative?   Using storytelling to stand out and become memorable so you can craft cold messages that convert. And when it comes to digging deep into this topic, who better to call upon than Nadja Komnenic of Lemlist. Nadja went from being fired from her sales role in the pandemic, to becoming the head of business development at Lemlist and helping them go from 1 to 10 million USD in ARR in just 3.5 years.  Today, she is one of the most sought after voices on LinkedIn when it comes to all things sales and sales leadership! Today, we're going to discuss how to ditch the pitch and unlock the power of story inside of your cold messaging. Click that play button to hear Nadja's amazing story, tactical advice and plans for the future! WHAT WE DISCUSS: [02:00] - What made Nadja want to go back into sales after losing her job in a pandemic. [03:12] - What it was about Lemlist that made her say “YES” to working there. [04:58] - How Nadja led her sales team during the pandemic. [07:53] - What she is currently up against as she scales herself personally and professionally. [10:10] - The biggest mistake salespeople are making today with their calls to actions inside of their cold outbound messaging.  [12:20] - How to be genuine when reaching out to prospects even if there is no commonality. [13:44] - The most effective outbound and inbound lead gen channel for Nadja and her team at Lemlist. [14:30] - The most memorable cold pitch she has ever received in the DM's! [15:58] - How to define storytelling in a sales context.  [18:14] - The best time to share your story when cold messaging.  [20:38] - How using story with a contextual call to action can boost reply rates. [21:55] - How to decide how vulnerable you should be with your story.  [24:01] - The best time to share a customer success story. [26:13] - The 3 key ingredients for a high converting call to action. [28:48] - The type of language you should avoid when cold messaging.  [32:36] - How to communicate with impact after being “ghosted” by your prospect. [35:21] - The difference between an open ended question, a close-ended question and when to use them. [38:18] - A piece of advice she would give to her former self if she was doing cold outreach in today's market. [40:25] - Who Nadja looks up to when it comes to thought leaders who communicate with influence. VALUABLE INSIGHTS AND KEY TOPICS: The biggest mistake salespeople make with cold outreach is asking for the meeting before confirming interest. If you don't have a commonality with the prospect, then figure out why you are reaching out to them in the first place. Intention is everything.  When trying to get someone's attention, you need to have a relatable story that adds business value to them. Only share customer success stories that are appropriate and contextual to your prospect's million dollar problem. NOTABLE QUOTES: [16:06] - “When it comes to getting people's attention, you really need to have a story behind what you are trying to communicate to them. People, as we know, relate to people, they relate to the story and they will react once they feel an emotion. The best way to arouse that emotion is through the storytelling.” - Nadja Komnenic USEFUL RESOURCES: Connect with Nadja Komnenic + get a free trial of Lemlist: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nadjakomnenic/ https://www.lemlist.com Ravi Rajani's Podcast: https://www.theravirajani.com/podcast Social Media: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ravirajani https://www.tiktok.com/@theravirajani

Nadja Komnenic head up sales for bootstrapped scale up, LEMlist. She is an elite sales leader who has helped LEMlist grow from $0 to $10m in ARR in 4 years. We discuss her approach to hiring, developing and listening to her people. She is competitive, driven, ambitious and truly collaborative. She discusses the importance of demonstrating vulnerability as a manager to encourage individuals in her team to have a voice, and reach their full potential. In a time when 15% of salespeople are reported to be hitting quota, Nadja's team are ALL achieving or exceeding quota consistently. Her people innovate once they have some basic skills. Her onboarding and training is practical, their process is developed through guided questioning, experimentation, intentionally allowing people to fail and learn. She ensures they have permission to speak freely, innovate, experiment because she recognises failure as her best teacher. She lets them fail in role in the moment, and is there to support them if they ask for help. She's ready to step in if the business is at risk of failing, and then when they have enough to work out their own solution, she steps back and hands them the pen. She also breaks down taboos and walls. It's got her into trouble in the past but is serving her well in her current role. And what is exciting to see is Nadja is a shining example of just how far, how fast and how much can be accomplished by one person with the correct support, challenge and  investment by leadership, in talent. Nadja beat the odds given her likely career path growing up when she did in Serbia. Yet in 6 years has made a speedy rise into management and sales leadership. A rare quality is how she is passing on her depth of understanding of why people behave the way they do to her team. Her coaching on the job, in the moment, at the point of need is a quality you see in only around 2-6% of managers This interview is a beacon of hope for the future. Nadja represents the best of the future of sales leadership and management. If you are new to management or aspire to rise to such a position, you would do well to listen to his episode. If you are an old school command and control style manager, listen to the difference in how Nadja manages, and the environment in which she and her team work. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES: Nadja is growing her team so, if you want to work for a great boss in a fast growing company where you can develop your career and never be pressured to hard sell or pressurise a prospect so your investors can make a worthless valuation target, drop her a line. Remember, she gets strangers to engage every day, so be creative, memorable and relevant in your approach to her. Q3. À quoi spécifiquement trinque-t-on ?
