Was habe ich gelernt? Was ist also meine Erfahrung zum Thema Investition in Crypto versus Weiterbildungen?

When I started thinking about leadership this way I was still teaching chemistry. In school, we often ask students who understand the content to support other students who might be struggling. We don't express to either student that this grouping has much more value than just helping one student better understand the material. Leadership skills (confidence, communication, and listening to name a few) are being developed, both students are stepping out of their zones of not learning (comfort and panic) and into their challenge zone. I loved this method so much, but as a chemistry teacher, I didn't know how much power there was in using this in all areas of education, and personal growth. When I stepped into a leadership coach position for students at the High School where I taught, I took the idea embedded in the program - our leaders (junior and senior students) worked to help freshmen develop study skills and leveled that idea up with what I was dining in my chemistry class. Some of my senior students were in their second year of the program and they had acquired skills that the new leaders hadn't. I took that and had the returning seniors give training to the new leaders. It put them in a leadership position that the new leaders wanted to try - which built up their confidence. I have never wanted to be the one with all the knowledge as a teacher - it seemed so one-sided, and so I took this back into my chemistry classroom. Sitting here writing about this today - I don't know if I realized how I integrated this model in so much of my teaching those last few years in the classroom. It truly set me up to create the best possible programming for the company Peers not Fears. When I left the classroom I had so many ideas on how leadership could be developed, I created a curriculum, I shared segments of that curriculum with all ages and it worked every time. Some groups needed more guidance and direction, but it still worked.

In this episode our host Trevor Matthews dive into what it takes to become a great trainer. Here are a few key areas to focus on: Technical Expertise: It's essential to have a deep understanding of refrigeration principles, including thermodynamics, refrigeration cycles, and the properties of refrigerants, especially CO2. Keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry standards is crucial. Practical Experience: Hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting refrigeration systems is invaluable. This experience allows a trainer to provide real-world examples and solutions. Teaching Skills: Being able to effectively communicate complex technical information in an understandable way is key. This includes developing good presentation skills, creating engaging training materials, and being able to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles. Certifications and Education: Acquiring relevant certifications (such as from HVAC/R associations) and possibly a degree in a related field (like mechanical engineering) can add credibility and depth to your training. Safety Knowledge: Understanding and being able to teach the safety protocols in refrigeration, particularly with CO2 systems which can present unique hazards, is vital. Industry Regulations and Standards: Staying informed about industry regulations and environmental standards, such as those concerning refrigerant emissions and energy efficiency, is important. Soft Skills: Patience, good listening skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire learners are important. Additionally, being approachable and open to feedback can greatly enhance the learning experience. Continual Learning: The field of refrigeration is constantly evolving, so committing to ongoing learning and professional development is necessary. Networking: Building relationships with professionals in the field can provide insights into the latest industry trends and challenges, which can inform more relevant and practical training. Adaptability to Technology: Being proficient in using modern teaching tools and technology, such as simulation software or online learning platforms, can enhance the training experience. Becoming a great trainer in commercial and CO2 refrigeration is a journey that combines technical prowess with effective teaching methods and a commitment to ongoing learning and adaptation. Today's episode is the second half of an in-depth Licensing Q&A prompted by BFF Al Dia, host of the MBA Insider podcast. If you haven't already, listen first to 140: How to Licensing Your IP (Intellectual Property), followed by 186: Licensing 201 — Q&A (Part One) on Product Development, Attracting Clients, and Sales Process. Al submitted a series of wonderful questions that span five categories; in this episode I'll be addressing the latter three: selling and packaging, delivery (including Train-the-Trainer), and legal considerations. A caveat, as always, when it comes to this notoriously opaque arena: this is not the way, it's just what I've learned along the way in nearly a decade of setting my mind to licensing as a revenue stream.

And finally, in part four of the series, you'll learn how to facilitate various instructional methods and put them to use during live learning sessions online. For instance, we'll cover questioning techniques that build on your coaching skills, listening skills, how to facilitate role-playing and discussions, and much more. And in this final part of the series, I'll walk you through the process of choosing instructional materials that match the needs your students have. While you'll prepare and choose your major instructional materials when we create your online course together, it's vital that you have the skills to size up new information quickly and determine if it gets a place in your live session, which are very often a part of the online learning experience. And as a final piece, you'll discover how to prep for those live sessions with lessons plans and action items that keep your students coming back for more. In part three of the learning series, you'll discover some of the common barriers and motivators adult learners have and I'll teach you how to incorporate success into your delivery methods. When instructors are faced with students who cannot move forward, the learning process can feel very frustrating. I'll arm you with some strategies that get the ball rolling again and help you regain control of the situation. If you've been in business for any length of time, you know that feeling of losing control can be scary. And when you're selling education and making promises to transform someone's life with what you know and can do, it's double scary. In the third part of the series, I'll also help you discover your own strengths and weaknesses as a speaker and presenter and help you craft easy rules to follow for yourself so you don't get overwhelmed when you need to get up in front of a crowd...online of course. Even if you've given lots of presentations in real-time, in front of people in real life, dealing with tech and managing an online presence is very different; especially when it comes to teaching and ensuring what you've taught is being learned and can be used by your students. In part 2 of this series, we're going to cover different teaching styles and you'll have an opportunity to reflect on what you like and don't like about how you show up to deliver content to your audience. We're going to take a deeper dive into the 12 adult learning principles so you can begin developing strategies for how to use them in your day-to-day delivery of your online course and we'll chat about what it looks like when your student isn't learning what you want them to learn and how to handle that. Creating an online course comes with a lot of questions, but what happens after you create your course? You need to deliver it. Subject matter experts often have a difficult time making the transition from SME to Instructor, Facilitator, and Coach because of the dynamics involved with sharing what you know with others. You might fear you're creating your own competition. You might worry that you might not deliver on your promises to your students. You might worry that you won't be taken seriously or that your speaking style won't be well received. These are all normal reactions to making a change - especially one that puts you at the center of attention in a group of people. In this special 4-part series, I'm sharing ways to make the move to online course instructor or coach easier and faster. But before you start worrying about running your online course, you need to create it. That's where I come in. Check out https://heatherdeveaux.com and book a call with me now to chat about how you can create your own online course quickly and easily. On episode one of the Digitally Irresistible podcast, we discussed the role of digital technology in delivering a personalized omnichannel customer experience that end users demand. On episode two, we focus on the irresistible part of the equation because in order to deliver a great customer experience using digital channels, it's imperative to have an irresistible culture where people can connect with customers on a deeper level to deliver solutions. And, in order to create a great culture, we need a trainer certification program that scales to train thousands of employees who are on the front lines of customer care. Our featured guest on this episode is Tarisse Grant-Shelton, M.Ed. Tarisse has been with iQor for 16 years. She started her career at iQor as a trainer in 2013 for the newly launched corporate training program. Since then, the corporate training program has evolved into a global learning community focused on keeping trainers connected with each other and up-to-date on best learning practices and curriculum content. Currently, Tarisse runs the global Train the Trainer Certificate Program (TTT). More than 300 trainers go through the program every year to deliver consistent training to iQor customer support experts across the globe. The Train the Trainer Certification Program Explained Tarisse used a tree planting metaphor to explain the program. She says, if you use a spoon to dig a hole to plant a tree, it will eventually get the job done, but obviously, it will take a lot of effort. If you upgrade to using an ice cream scoop, that's a better tool, but it's still not good enough. The iQor Train the Trainer Certification program is like a shovel. It's a much bigger tool that will allow the tree planting to occur more efficiently. The TTT program provides trainers the “shovel.” New and seasoned trainers alike benefit from this robust program. Our clients rely on our trainers to deliver the content that agents need to be an extension of their brand and support their customers as one cohesive unit. This is a huge accomplishment for all the industries we support including telecom, travel and hospitality, financial services, eCommerce, retail, to name a few. The TTT program allows for training to occur at scale so our agents can effectively support millions of our client's customers and maximize call center performance management. Over the years, the Train the Trainer Certification program has evolved into a world-class, award-winning program that equips trainers with the know-how to train thousands of customer care agents to deliver a great customer experience to iQor clients' end user customers. Award-Winning Trainer Certification Program In 2014, ATD, the Association for Talent Development, recognized iQor with an award. This award was a turning point because it inspired the change in nomenclature from training to talent development. It also helped to open the flood gates for numerous other awards received including LEAD Awards – Recognition for Best Train the Trainer Program in 2017 and 2018, and numerous Stevie® Awards for related training programs. Creating a Community of Amazing Trainers In order to stay current on iQor's client customer care needs, Tarisse conducts research to ensure the training methods continuously evolve and remain current with best practices and cutting-edge engagement techniques. Currently, the trainer certification program is comprised of four levels. Level I is focused on facilitation of basics and best practices. In order to earn their level-one certificate, trainers are put to the test: they have to actually present and teach a class. But Tarisse keeps it light. Trainers can choose any topic. Level 1 trainer certification presentations have allowed Tarisse to learn a myriad of topics such as how to cook secret family recipes, get over a break-up, meditate, and even how to properly open a coconut. Level II is more advanced. This is where trainers have that ‘aha' moment. They come to understand the “why” of what we do and are certified as a global training leader. Level III is for the trainers that want to progress further into teaching strategy. They learn how to write and administer engaging curriculum, and how to design interactive courses. By the end of this level, they have the tools they need to create new curriculum that they can implement immediately with their team. Level IV is focused on the Digital Experience (DX). It's about how to maintain responsiveness through digital engagement. Trainers leverage cutting-edge interactive tools that provide agents a more hands-on experience as they learn to engage with end customers through omnichannel digital technology. These tools are used across client programs and industries. Many trainers start out as a training assistant and as they progress through the levels, they earn promotions into training supervisors and managers. What's Next in the iQor Trainer Certification Program Tarisse is very excited about launching the next iteration of the Level Two Advanced Facilitation course. It will feature a new interactive module for trainers to engage with their trainees outside the classroom. The goal is to better establish bonds and create a truly interactive space where trainers can develop more trust and build a community within their classroom. What Do You Do for Fun? In response to this question, Tarisse (without hesitation) says that when she is not working, she is at the beach. You will find Tarisse at the beach from sun up to sun down. She lives just eight minutes from the beach in Florida where she is able to do this all year long. Considering how much creativity and energy goes into the Train the Trainer Certification program, unwinding at the beach has proved to be key to reenergizing Tarisse's passion for developing iQor's talented trainers of call center agents supporting clients across many industries. The best sales discovery calls actively look for problems to solve. Business problem solving is the key to making the sale because if your potential customer can't see that they have a problem, they won't be interested in your proposed solution. Be deliberate with the questions you ask. Know what type of questions you're asking and what you're trying to find. As you ask questions, pay close attention to the ways in which your potential customer's business may overlap with what you're offering. Will Tal Swicegood, with High Desert, find a problem Keenan or ASG has in order to sell him? Or will he walk away with some valuable sales tips from Keenan's coaching? In Gap Sell Keenan, if they can find a problem that ASG has that their service or product solves, Keenan will buy.
