The BBC is facing mounting accusations that it has failed to report impartially on transgender issues. A formal complaint has been sent to Ofcom by the Bayswater Support Group, which represents hundreds of parents who believe the broadcaster has promoted one-sided coverage of sex and gender. The group accuses senior editors of failing to reflect dissenting views, glossing over safeguarding concerns, and presenting gender identity as an uncontested fact.Camilla and Tim Stanley are joined by parents of two young people who socially transitioned as teenagers. They describe how their children's gender identities were affirmed at school during the Covid pandemic - in some cases without parental knowledge - and the lasting impact it has had on their families as the relationship with their children broke down. They also discusses leaked allegations that the BBC's coverage has been subject to internal censorship, alongside examples cited by critics - from reporting on puberty blockers to children's television and drama - and the corporation's response to claims of bias.We want to hear from you! Trans people are more likely to experience homelessness than others. Which means trans folks are impacted at a higher rate by new federal policies that target people living in precarious housing situations. In this episode, Imara speaks with Dr. Dilara Yarbrough, an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice Studies at San Francisco State University, who helps unpack Trump's recent crackdown on homeless encampments in D.C. and the larger systems at play. In this episode of the Bacon Bibles and Barbells podcast, Coaches Justin and Amanda discuss the recent controversy surrounding trans athlete Jamie Booker in the strongman competition. They explore the implications of biological differences in strength sports, the role of hormones, and the impact of performance-enhancing drugs. The conversation also delves into the integrity of competitions, the future of women's categories, and theological perspectives on gender identity. The hosts emphasize the importance of navigating conversations on gender with truth and love, while also addressing the destructive nature of living in sin. Takeaways Jamie Booker won the women's strongman title but was later disqualified. Biological differences between men and women significantly impact strength sports. Estrogen does not cause muscle wasting as commonly believed. The integrity of competitions is crucial for fair play. Future regulations may require chromosome testing for female competitors. Theological perspectives suggest that God created male and female intentionally. Living in sin can lead to destructive outcomes for individuals. Navigating gender identity conversations requires sensitivity and truth. Social environments can influence personal beliefs and identities. It's important to seek spiritual guidance rather than affirmation from social media.

Send us a textSince the inauguration, the Trump administration has issued near-nonstop attacks on the trans community. From the first executive order declaring that “sex” will be defined strictly as male or female, fixed at birth; eliminating official recognition of transgender or non-binary identities on passports, visas, and other federal documents; to a ban on transgender people serving in the military; to a recent declaration that he wants to issue a total ban on healthcare for trans people across the board–just to name a few. It seems like every day there is a new wave, and yet, in the face of those attacks and legislative hostility, powerful waves of resistance are rising. Today In the Den, Sara and her guests take a deeper dive into what that resistance looks like with one coalition of trans organizers, mutual-aid groups, progressive faith communities, queer associations, and dedicated allies committed to trans joy, freedom, and safety. ANGELA'S SYMPOSIUM 📖 Academic Study on Witchcraft, Paganism, esotericism, magick and the Occult
This lecture explores the provocative question: Can magic stop wars? Drawing on historical and cross-cultural sources, we examine how rituals and spells have been used not merely as private acts of devotion but as technologies of politics, resistance, and reconciliation. From the Assyrian Maqlû tablets and Egyptian execration rites, to the Wiccan “Cone of Power” against Hitler and the modern #MagicResistance movement, we uncover how ritual has been mobilised to defend rulers, resist tyranny, and shape the course of events. The lecture also turns to reconciliation practices such as the Acholi Mato Oput in Uganda, Hawaiian ho‘oponopono, and Arab-Islamic sulha, showing how communities have ritualised the difficult work of forgiveness and the transformation of enmity. By analysing these cases, we see how ritual externalises conflict into material or symbolic form, such as burned effigies, bitter drinks, and shared meals, so that violence can be reframed, managed, or dissolved.CONNECT & SUPPORT

One of the most urgent ADHD research gaps has to do with ADHD and trans people. We know there are lots of trans folks with ADHD. But when it comes to understanding how best to treat them, it's a whole different story. That's why we wanted to talk to someone who knows this experience well. Ivan Hsiao is the founder of Trans Health HQ. He joined this week's Hyperfocus to share his own diagnosis story and to talk about what we do (and don't) know about being trans with ADHD. This week we examine our dreams, very specifically the ones where we imagine we'll someday get to be our true selves. And we dive into the subconscious, which holds the answers, but they're not always easy to see. And when we first get a glimpse of the truth within... it can be scary as hell. In this explosive debate episode of Heretics, Andrew sits down with Dr. Helen Webberley, one of the most controversial figures in the transgender healthcare world, for a brutally honest, high-stakes conversation about sex, gender, science, identity, mental health, and the limits of self-identification. Dr. Webberley defends her position with conviction, arguing that being transgender is not a mental illness, while Andrew challenges the logic behind gender identity, the distinction between sex and gender, and whether ideologies around self-identification can withstand scientific scrutiny. The debate covers everything from whether transgender people are “real,” to comparisons with anorexia, to whether someone could “identify as a table,” to the emotional and ethical concerns around treating children, puberty blockers, detransitioners, medical evidence, and why so many celebrities have trans-identifying kids. At moments deeply uncomfortable, at moments shockingly frank, this episode exposes the core disagreements shaping the modern gender debate — and does so without cutting corners. If you want to understand the arguments, the science, the accusations of pseudoscience, the worldview differences, and why this conversation is tearing society apart, this is the episode to watch. A fearless conversation at the edge of culture, medicine, and truth.
