A small town in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia has been devastated. An 18-year-old killed their mother and stepbrother before entering a local school. By the end of the day, six students, one teacher, and the shooter were dead. Twenty-five others were injured. In total, ten lives were lost. In this episode of Stop the Killing, former head of the FBI's Active Shooter Program Katherine Schweit examines what we know so far about the Canada school shooting — and what communities can learn from it. We explore: Reported warning signs prior to the attack Mental health gaps and intervention challenges Canada's firearm licensing system How Canadian gun laws compare to the United States The role of online violent content What parents and schools should watch for School shootings are rare in Canada. The last comparable tragedy of this scale occurred in 1989. That rarity can create a dangerous belief: “It can't happen here.” But prevention starts long before a trigger is pulled. This episode focuses on awareness, intervention, and the practical steps communities can take to reduce risk. In this episode of the Tactical Living Podcast, hosts Coach Ashlie Walton and Sergeant Clint Walton talk about the kind of burnout that doesn't announce itself with collapse, tears, or a dramatic breaking point. It's the slow, quiet burnout that builds under discipline, professionalism, and "I'm fine" (Amazon Affiliate) until one day you realize your joy is gone, your patience is thin, and your sense of purpose feels hollow. This is the burnout that hides behind high performance, dark humor, long hours, and doing what needs to be done without complaint. The kind that sneaks up on first responders who are still showing up, still functioning, still leading—but internally running on fumes.

Anna-Carin Svensson joins Dr. Sandie Morgan as they explore how Sweden's decision to punish buyers instead of victims has reshaped who feels safe coming forward — and how that same principle is now being applied to hold online exploitation accountable.Chapters(00:00) - Introduction: Sweden's Principle That Changed Everything (01:07) - The Equality Model: Why Sweden Criminalized Buyers, Not Sellers (07:37) - What 25 Years of Data Actually Shows (09:16) - When Exploitation Moves Online: Updating the Law for the Digital Age (14:37) - Why Multidisciplinary Collaboration Is Non-Negotiable (18:41) - The Gap Between Good Laws and Correct Application (25:02) - Prevention Starts Before the Warning Signs (29:51) - Hope, Humanity, and the Road Ahead Anna-Carin SvenssonAnna-Carin Svensson serves as Sweden's Ambassador to Combat Trafficking in Persons, representing Sweden in multilateral anti-trafficking efforts including at the United Nations. In this role, she has participated in high-level discussions related to the appraisal of the UN Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons, including the side event "Proactive by Design: Leveraging Multidisciplinary Collaboration and Digital Innovation to Prevent Human Trafficking."Previously, Svensson served as Director-General for International Affairs at the Swedish Ministry of Justice, where she led Swedish delegations in international human rights forums and oversaw Sweden's implementation of international legal obligations, including under the Convention against Torture. Across her career, she has consistently emphasized state responsibility, institutional accountability, cross-government coordination, and the importance of translating legislation into effective practice.Key PointsSweden's Sex Purchase Act, introduced in 1999, was a landmark legal shift that criminalized the buyer of sexual services rather than the seller, placing the state firmly on the side of the more vulnerable party in the transaction and signaling that prostitution is a harm to all of society — not just to the individual.A 2010 official evaluation of the law found measurable results: street prostitution decreased, criminal networks were deterred from establishing trafficking operations in Sweden, and public attitudes shifted significantly — evidence that law can have both a direct and a normative effect. As exploitation moved online, Sweden updated its legislation in 2025 to extend the same principle into the digital space, criminalizing the purchase of live, on-demand sexual acts performed remotely — because if something is illegal offline, it must be illegal online. Many victims who had been coerced into performing live cam shows said the new law would have made it easier for them to refuse, illustrating how legal frameworks can shift power back to the exploited person even before a crime is prosecuted.Correct application of the law matters as much as the law itself — broad training across all professions, not just specialized units, is essential so that any first responder can recognize a victim, give an appropriate initial response, and connect them to the right support.Multidisciplinary collaboration is not optional: criminal justice, social services, civil society, health professionals, schools, and international partners must all work in concert, because victims often feel safer disclosing to a social worker or nonprofit than to law enforcement, and that trust must be honored.Digital literacy and healthy relationship education must begin before exploitation happens — teaching young people to recognize manipulation, loverboy tactics, and online red flags is one of the most important prevention investments a society can make.Hope lies in the growing global community of organizations and individuals bringing creative, collaborative solutions to every aspect of this problem — and in the simple recognition that for every challenge, there are many possible answers.ResourcesEnding Human Trafficking PodcastGlobal Center for Women and Justice (GCWJ)UN Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons – 2025 AppraisalSweden's Sex Purchase Act – Swedish Gender Equality AgencySweden's 2025 Online Sexual Acts Legislation – Library of Congress SummaryTranscriptClick here to view the episode transcript.

Yellow teeth are not just a cosmetic issue. They are often a metabolic signal linked to saliva pH, gut health, liver function, and mineral balance. Most whitening strips and bleaching products do not fix the root cause. They temporarily whiten teeth while weakening enamel, increasing porosity, disrupting the oral microbiome, and causing rebound staining over time. Teeth are porous, like a hard sponge. When saliva becomes acidic, stains bind more easily, enamel weakens faster, and whitening results do not last. Common internal drivers of yellow teeth include acid reflux or silent GERD, gut dysbiosis, liver congestion, mineral deficiencies, chronic dehydration, and inflammation. This episode breaks down a natural, root-cause whitening protocol that supports enamel instead of damaging it. Key strategies include using baking soda and activated charcoal safely once per week, oil pulling with coconut oil, and restoring saliva pH through nutrition and mineral intake. You will also learn which foods support healthy saliva pH, which foods and drinks actively damage enamel, and why frequent snacking worsens staining even with healthy foods. The core message: your smile is metabolic, not cosmetic. Fix the internal imbalance, and whitening becomes natural and long-lasting.
Strong Christianity produces prosperous and free nations — but weakening faith breeds tyranny. A century ago, that decline led to 100 million bodies…but is our faith stronger than it was in the 1920s? Kevin and Bill talk about the possibility of restoring biblical government and liberty in America…how fearful and proud people give "savior" dictators power…and whether American evangelicals could repeat the error of the German ones who elected Hitler.
Don't just listen, call in with your perspective at 303-477-5600 or text to 307-200-8222 Monday - Friday from 3 pm - 6 pm MT. HOUR 1 Hour 1 of Rush To Reason opens with a hard-hitting Health & Wellness Wednesday, guest-hosted by Dr. Scott Faulkner (https://castlerockregenerativehealth.com), alongside biohacker Jeremy Sova. This hour challenges the idea that decline is inevitable, asking a blunt question: What if fatigue, brain fog, and aging symptoms are signals—not sentences? Dr. Faulkner pulls back the curtain on credibility in modern medicine, why accountability matters, and how patient-first care has been lost in a system obsessed with protocols over people. The conversation moves from heart disease prevention to cutting-edge diagnostics, exposing why “treat after disaster” thinking may be failing patients. The hour then pivots to mitochondria—the cellular power source behind energy, cognition, and resilience. In plain English, they explain why damaged mitochondria lead to low energy and why inflammation accelerates the decline. Listeners get a preview of practical, low-cost steps to rebuild cellular power, break fitness plateaus, and reclaim mental clarity. Is aging really unavoidable—or have we been ignoring the real levers of longevity? HOUR 2 Hour 2 of Rush To Reason dives deep into preventive medicine, data-driven health, and personal accountability with Dr. Scott and biohacker Jeremy Sova. This hour challenges the medical status quo by asking a simple yet uncomfortable question: What if the biggest risks to your health aren't showing up on standard tests? The conversation spans omega-3 optimization, cholesterol particle size, hormones, bone density, and why “normal labs” can still hide serious danger. The centerpiece is AI-assisted CT angiography, revealing how soft plaque—often invisible on calcium scores—can quietly lead to catastrophic heart events. A powerful listener call brings the science to life, showing how early detection can literally save lives. Dr. Faulkner also pulls back the curtain on why modern healthcare feels rushed and impersonal, tracing it to corporate medicine, electronic records, and the loss of doctor-patient relationships. This hour isn't about fear—it's about clarity, courage, and reclaiming control. Are you managing your health—or just hoping nothing breaks? HOUR 3 Hour 3 pushes listeners to the edge of what's possible in regenerative and longevity medicine with Dr. Scott Faulkner and biohacker Jeremy Sova. The hour opens with reflection on family, faith, and time—then pivots sharply into a crash course on stem cells, separating real science from dangerous hype. What's the difference between embryonic, bone-marrow, fat-derived, and umbilical-cord stem cells—and why does sourcing and regulation matter? From there, the discussion accelerates into global breakthroughs, including reports from Japan and Germany showing dramatic progress in spinal cord injury and early Alzheimer's disease. The hour stacks next-gen therapies—stem cells, plasmapheresis (therapeutic plasma exchange), and hyperbaric oxygen therapy—and explains how they may work together to extend healthspan, reduce inflammation, and even reverse markers of aging, such as telomere shortening. The final segment tees up a major reckoning in women's health, revisiting hormone replacement therapy and decades of fear driven by flawed studies. Waking up in the middle of the night to pee is not normal, even if it only happens once. This episode reveals why nighttime urination is an early metabolic warning sign, not a bladder or prostate issue. Ben explains how insulin resistance, blood sugar spikes, cortisol, and disrupted hormones interfere with deep sleep, fat burning, and brain detoxification. When sleep is interrupted, belly fat increases, hormones fall out of balance, and the brain's nighttime cleaning process shuts down. You'll learn the five main metabolic causes behind nighttime urination, including late-night eating, alcohol, electrolyte imbalance, high cortisol, and fluid shifts in the body. Ben also shares simple changes you can start tonight to sleep through the night again. This episode breaks down why most doctors miss this signal, how insulin resistance can exist years before diabetes, and how fixing metabolic signals can restore sleep, energy, fat loss, and long-term health. If you're waking up to pee, feeling wired but tired, or struggling with stubborn belly fat, this episode could change everything.

This week we're covering three cases that force the same devastating question: how do families know when a troubled relative has become genuinely dangerous? Nick Reiner is charged with stabbing his parents, legendary director Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, at their Brentwood home. His attorney withdrew while insisting Nick is "not guilty of murder"—signaling a likely insanity defense based on his documented schizoaffective disorder and years of erratic behavior. Paul Caneiro is on trial in New Jersey for the 2018 murders of his brother Keith, sister-in-law Jennifer, and their two children at the family's Colts Neck mansion. Prosecutors say financial desperation drove him to kill after Keith discovered he was stealing from their shared businesses. Jurors heard the final phone call between the brothers—Keith demanding account access hours before his death. And Michael McKee, a vascular surgeon, has pleaded not guilty to killing his ex-wife Monique Tepe and her husband Dr. Spencer Tepe in Columbus. Police call it a "targeted" domestic violence attack, with ballistic evidence allegedly linking McKee's gun to the scene. Former FBI behavioral analyst Robin Dreeke joins us to examine what the escalation patterns in these cases reveal—and what families should watch for when love and accommodation are no longer enough.#NickReiner #PaulCaneiro #MichaelMcKee #RobReiner #KeithCaneiro #MoniqueTepe #FamilyMurder #BehavioralAnalysis #TrueCrime #HiddenKillersJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Chris Cuomo responds to the killing of Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old U.S. citizen and intensive care nurse with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs who was shot and killed by federal agents in Minneapolis during protests over the Trump administration's immigration crackdown. Cuomo walks through what we actually know, why local leaders are pushing back hard against federal enforcement tactics, and how this moment fits into a familiar pattern of escalation — one where the outcome wasn't unpredictable.Cuomo makes a clear distinction between supporting law enforcement and accepting strategies that make violence more likely. He explains why flooding heavily armed federal agents into already tense protest zones doesn't calm situations down, and why pretending these outcomes are “shocking” after the fact avoids the harder question: what kind of country are we becoming if this keeps happening? Today on True Crime Today, we're covering two major cases that raise the same devastating question: What does it take for warning signs to translate into action? Former FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke—21 years with the Bureau, former Chief of the FBI's Counterintelligence Behavioral Analysis Program—joins us to analyze both the Kohberger and Reiner cases through the lens of threat assessment and behavioral analysis. The families of the four murdered Idaho students have sued Washington State University, alleging the school received 13 formal complaints about Bryan Kohberger's threatening and predatory behavior and failed to meaningfully intervene. The lawsuit describes faculty predicting Kohberger would assault future students, staff creating their own "911" alert systems, women fleeing classrooms. Robin breaks down what these behaviors signaled and why institutions often choose perceived legal protection over actual safety. Then we turn to the Reiner case. Nick Reiner was under an LPS mental health conservatorship in 2020 that ended after one year. His medication was reportedly changed a month before his parents were found stabbed to death. Rob Reiner had publicly said they should have listened to Nick instead of professionals. Robin explains how trust gets exploited over decades, how families lose their ability to perceive danger, and what the Reiners may have stopped being able to see. Two cases. Two mechanisms of failure. One essential conversation about what it takes to act on what you see.#TrueCrimeToday #BryanKohberger #NickReiner #RobReiner #MicheleReiner #RobinDreeke #FBI #IdahoMurders #Conservatorship #WarningSignsIgnoredJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? The warning signs in the Nick Reiner case stretch back decades. A yoga instructor who worked with the family described childhood tantrums she'd "never seen" anything like. At fifteen, Nick was physically aggressive with a rehab roommate. As an adult, he destroyed his parents' guesthouse on meth—multiple times—with what he later described as "no logic." He was in and out of rehab eighteen times by 2016. He was placed under a mental health conservatorship in 2020 for schizoaffective disorder. And hours before Rob and Michele Reiner were found stabbed to death in their Brentwood home, Nick attended a Christmas party at Conan O'Brien's house, where witnesses say he approached guests with repetitive questions—"What's your name? Are you famous?"—stood and stared when asked to leave conversations, and wore a hoodie while everyone else was in formal attire. Sources say Nick had recently switched psychiatric medications due to weight gain, and the new medication made him more erratic. His arraignment has been delayed until February 23rd after defense attorney Alan Jackson withdrew from the case, insisting Nick is "not guilty of murder" under California law. Legal analysts expect a not guilty by reason of insanity plea. Nick faces life without parole or the death penalty if convicted.#NickReiner #RobReiner #MicheleSingerReiner #ReinerMurders #MentalIllness #Schizoaffective #BrentwoodMurder #HollywoodTragedy #BehavioralAnalysis #HiddenKillersJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
