Nach 15 Minuten sieht der Frankfurter Theate nach einem Handspiel und der klaren Verhinderung einer Torchance Rot, so dass die Borussia insgesamt 80 Minuten in Überzahl spielt. In der Nachspielzeit der ersten Halbzeit geht jedoch Schwarz-Weiß-Rot in Führung und lässt den ausverkauften Gästeblock ob der desolaten Abwehrleistung verzweifeln. Ganz anders ist die Perspektive unmittelbar nach Wiederanpfiff, als Schwarz-Weiß-Grün viel umjubelt ausgleicht und das Momentum scheinbar für die Gastmannschaft spricht. Was dann folgt, führt zu einer negativen Stimmungsentladung mit dem Schlusspfiff: Die Heimmannschaft in Unterzahl kontert die Borussia ein ums andere Mal aus, hat die bessere Raumaufteilung und kann die Offensivbemühungen des VfL zumeist locker entschärfen. Darum geht es auch in der aktuellen Folge von "Tales of Us". Es ist bereits die zehnte Folge und die Zeit rast wie immer. Freut euch auf diese Art Jahresfolgen zu jeder "zehnten" Episode des Podcasts, bis wir dann irgendwann im Jahr 1999 angekommen sind. Carl Magnus Palm, ABBA-Historiker und Kurator, spricht im dritten Teil der ABBA-Trilogie über die reiche und oftmals unbekannte Geschichte ABBAs beim Melodifestivalen bzw. dem Eurovision Song Contest. Dies ist dritte Teil, der die Zeit nach 1975 beleuchtet. Darunter auch eine Nullpunkte-Erfahrung.Doch zuerst zu den News:Amadeus, der bereits die letzten beiden Ausgaben von Sanremo moderiert hat, hat weiterhin auch 2022 die künstlerische Leitung und die Moderation inne - etwas, was beim Festival di Sanremo nicht oft vorkommt. Da wechseln die Positionen für gewöhnlich recht häufig.Måneskin haben "I Want To Be Your Slave" mit dem Godfather of Punk, Iggy Pop, aufgenommen. Das Ergebnis kann sich hören lassen, und adelt die Band, denn Iggy würde kaum nur für Geld einen Song einspielen, dazu ist er zu integer. Es ist übrigens nicht seine einzige Kolaboration mit einem Song Contest-Teilnehmer. Barbara Pravi aus Frankreich kündigt nach zwei längeren EPs ihr erstes richtiges Album an: Ab 27.8.2021 wird “On N'enferme Pas Les Oiseaux” im Handel sein.Carl Magnus Palm, der offizielle Abba Historiker und Release-Kurator ist zum dritten und letzten Mal da in unserer Sommerserie über Abba. Björn und Benny allerdings fanden Gefallen an der neuen Produktion und ersetzten die Stimmen mit denen von Frida und Agnetha und so fand "Bang-A-Boomerang" auch den Weg auf das Album zurück.Nach dem Sieg Schwedens begann eine seit den 60er Jahren in Schweden existierende Gegenbewegung zu kommerzieller Musik an Fahrt zu gewinnen. Musik sei kein Wettbewerb und keine Ware, waren die Grundaussagen, die sich gegen die "Industrialisierung" des Musikbusiness wandte und im Zuge dieser allgemeinen Diskussion setzte Schweden 1976 auch beim Song Contest in Den Haag aus.Zeitgleich begann die internationale Karriere von ABBA abzuheben. Zahllose Hits später beginnen die 80er Jahre. Benny produziert 1981 den norwegischen Künstler Finn Kalvik. Dessen selbstgeschriebener Song "Aldri I Livet" klingt live auf der Song Contest-Bühne recht unspektakulär und erreichte dafür in Dublin die berühmten Null Punkte. Auf der Single allerdings singen Agnetha und Frida die Backing Vocals, sowohl in der norwegischen als auch in der englischen Version.1981 war auch das Jahr, in dem Agnetha zu ihren Wurzeln zurück fand und einen eigenen Song beim Melodifestivalen einreichte, den sie auch selbst produziert hat. Interpretiert hat "Men Natten Är Vår Melo" allerdings die neu bei Polar Music angeheuerte Kicki Moberg. Beim Melo wurde der Song allerdings letzter, was wohl auch an der uninspirierten Live-Performance lag.Und 1981 war auch das Erscheinungsjahr des (bislang) letzten ABBA-Albums: "The Visitors", die letzte Aufnahme war der Song "The Day Before You Came", wohl ihr letztes Meisterstück. Die beiden Paare waren bereits geschieden, das Interesse an Live-Auftritten war mäßig, die Männer wollten ein Musical schreiben, all das führte zum Ende der musikalischen Partnerschaft.Bereits 1986 und 1987 versuchte Benny Anderssons Sohn Peter aus dessen Beziehung mit Christina Grönvall zusammen mit seiner Band "Sound of Music" sein Glück beim Melodifestivalen. Doch sowohl "Eldorado" als auch "Alexandra" gewannen nicht. Gemeinsam mit seiner Frau Nanne gründete er die Band "One More Time". Mit der Band "One More Time" konnten sie in den europäischen Charts punkten, ihr Titel "Highland" erreichte Gold in diversen Ländern. 1995 nahmen "One More Time" beim Melodifestivalen als Songwriter teil: Ihr Titel "Det Vackraste", gesungen von Cecilia Vennersten landete auf dem Platz Zwei, in den Charts allerdings auf Eins. 1996 gewannen dann Peter Grönvall und seine Frau Nanne das Ticket nach Oslo zum Song Contest, wo sie mit "Den Vilda" den dritten Platz belegten.2007 gab es noch ein "Fast-Einreichung" von einem ABBA-Mitglied zum Melodifestivalen. Der zweimalige Song-Contest-Veteran Tommy Körberg (1969 und 1988) war Der Russe im Musical "Chess" und auch Sänger des Benny Anderssons Orkester. Der von Björn und Benny geschriebene Song "Fait Accompli" soll angeblich aus Gründen des Drucks nicht eingereicht worden sein. Wie würden sie dastehen, wenn sie Melo nicht gewinnen würden.2004, 30 Jahre nach ihrem Sieg in Brighton, kamen ABBA erneut als Interval Act auf die Eurovision-Bühne in Istanbul - wenn auch nicht als echte Menschen. Das Video "ABBA - The Last Video" bringt die vier Mitglieder noch einmal auf humoristische Weise zusammen, wenngleich nur als Puppen. Alle Mitglieder tauchen als Cameos auf, allerdings nie zusammen. Selbst Agnetha und Frida wurden getrennt aufgenommen und zueinander montiert. Und zwischendrin klatscht Cher. Beim Eurovisin Song Contest 2013 in Malmö gestalteten Björn und Benny gemeinsam mit der Producer-Legende Avicii den Opening Act "We Write The Story".Und das war es derzeit mit den Veröffentlichungen gemeinsam. Seit 2017 ist eine Avatar-Tour angekündigt, für diese auch neue Songs aufgenommen worden sind. Doch nach technischen Problemen und der weltweiten Corona-Krise wurde die Veröffentlichung nach hinten verschoben. Wer weiß, vielleicht kommen die Songs nächste Woche.Aber wie war das mit dem ABBA-Revival. Und was hat Edelweiß damit zu tun? Unter den vielen Songs ist es wohl "The Winner Takes It All".Die prägenste Erinnerung ist wohl der Sieg ABBAs beim Eurovision Song Contest 1974. Und der Lieblingstitel aller Zeiten ist ebenfalls aus dem Jahr 1974, wenn auch nicht der Erst- oder Zweitplatzierte. Es ist der Titel, der als Favorit ins Rennen ging und dann auf dem dritten Platz landete: "I See A Star" von Mouth and MacNeal aus den Niederlanden. Mouth and MacNeal  hatten mit "How Do You Do" weltweit Top-Ten-ChartplatzierungenIn der Kleinen Song Contest Geschichte am Schluss erzählt Marco, dass die wunderbare Sonia Jones, unsterblich geworden durch den Titelsong zu "Das Leben des Brian", beim britischen Vorentscheid 1980 durchgefallen ist. Ihr Song "Here I'll Stay" allerdings wurde einer, für den sich Phil Collins so schämte, dass Frida ihn zwei Jahre später noch einmal alleine aufnahm.
