You're listening to Danny, on WHAT : DE HEK podcast. This is the place where I share my experience, knowledge and skills.I've been playing around trying to get the right setup for the last few months and I finally feel I'm getting some traction. I am a podcaster and an online educator that provides workshops to help people survive and thrive in business, I would like to share my journey with you. This all started about two years ago when I wanted to record a group of people, in a business networking event, so I could produce a podcast.I've always been a bit of a tech head, any software or hardware that is going to make me more productive and look more professional, I'm in. I'll go and purchase it on my credit card and worry about paying for it later. The problem with being able to record video, and broadcast, is there are so many options available and so many different variables, that you really have to find your own way to get it going correctly. So in saying that, my journey may not be your journey, but I am absolutely sure you will gain a lot of knowledge by reading or listening to this article.A good of friend of mine, Rob Woolley, is currently trying to set himself up as a YouTube educator. He has also been going through some of the trials and tribulations that I experienced at the start, all due respect to Rob, he likes doing things on a budget. He was having problems setting up his green screen and I received this message from him, “I've officially given up on getting green screen perfect, so I'm going to paint my wall as a backdrop I think”. I'll be honest, his message inspired me to write this blog. There is no right way and there's no wrong way of achieving your setup, just remember be good today, rather than perfect tomorrow, because tomorrow never comes. To make this a little bit more logical I think it would be best if I break this into different sections; sound recorder, microphones, green screens, lighting, camera equipment, editing and streaming. One thing I never do with my blogs is add images within the content, however I'm going to make an exception for this post.1) Sound RecorderSo as I said originally, I wanted to record 20 people in a room when I was running a think tank meeting for my business networking company. I did some searching and I read some good reviews about a recording device called a “ZOOM H6”. The reason I went with this, is that it would enable me to run four microphones simultaneously, as well as an additional two microphones that come with the unit. It can be powered with a USB charger, so it was an ideal unit, it was mobile and recorded brilliant sound. It has served me well. I used it for at least 12 months and I still have it, just in case I start doing more mobile interviews. It has a lovely compact carry case too.I started hanging out on a social audio app called Clubhouse. When talking to other podcasters, the industry standard and the unit that you want to get, is a RØDECaster Pro. Funnily enough, this would not be my recommendation if you want to be mobile. However, since I've had the RØDECaster Pro, I've never used my ZOOM H6 again. Recently I switched my recording hardware to the ZOOM PodTrak P8, as this is also a mobile unit and also a desktop sound recorder. I now get the best of both worlds and I love it. I believe it's the best piece of hardware on the market today, especially if your main focus is podcasting.Read More https://www.dehek.com/general/podcast/7-steps-for-creating-your-own-live-streaming-podcast-studio/Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/dehek)

Easy Steps For Video Recording and Chroma keying With Your Home Green Screen Chroma Keying and Green screen technology sounds very technical and that is why many people get confused or even do not understand how to use these techniques within their videos. Think Photoshop – Only for Videos Photoshop has transformed image manipulation and editing for the better. The success behind it is that is allows you to add layers on top of each other and also edit these layers individually enabling you to create visually stunning images. You can create some amazing designs and literally transform your images into works of art. The beauty of being able to edit each specific layer is you can manipulate, edit, crop and even remove the background of one layer and be able to see what is below (or behind) that layer. By using this technique, adding drop shadows and outlines and many of the other features within photoshop you are able to do amazing things with your images. You can also have layers similar to Photoshop, only with video With the correct video editing software, you can add layers, images, remove backgrounds and build up an amazing looking videos with the similar layer options you have available within Photoshop. The process to remove a color or background in a moving video is called Chroma Keying and this software treats each frame as a separate image, removes the selected color and then allows you to see the layer(s) placed below. This enables you to produce some amazing effects within your videos. Are you looking to add extra effects into your videos? Maybe you’re seeking ways to spice up your videos… or feel like your video backgrounds are boring or not exciting enough… Then you can change this very quickly with the use of a green screen and Chroma Keying within your videos. You are here as you are interested in making your videos better, and looking more professional. With the use of a Green Screen, Chroma Keying and inserting different backgrounds into your videos, and possibly photos you can easily do this. This technique is also referred as: Green Screen Video Chroma Keying Blue Screen Color Keying Color Separation Overlay Maybe you have heard of Green Screen and the technology behind it, but didn’t realise you can actually Chroma Key at home with a few simple elements.

CORIOview C2-6204 4-Window 3G-SDI Processor is based on TV One's exclusive CORIO®2 technology and has four 3G-SDI inputs plus a DVI-I input (for window, cascade or background use) to place up to 4 sizeable windows on a single DVI-I / 3G SDI output. Each window is powered by a CORIO®2 scaler providing full PIP flexibility. 3G-SDI resolutions up to 1080p60 are supported. High performance de-interlacing with motion-adaptive noise reduction are available for interlaced SDI and YPbPr sources. The unit provides a DVI-I output as well as a duplicate 3G-SDI capable output. All settings are stored in non-volatile memory and are retained even when power is switched off. Ten user defined presets (controllable directly from the front panel or external communications) are also available to customize settings for various applications. A built-in LCD and menu system aids quick setup. Functions can be controlled via the front panel Push Buttons, RS-232/ RS-422/RS-485 or Ethernet. Color borders and source labeling are also provided for each window. Four Still Image Stores are built into the unit which can each display one of ten user loadable graphic images to be used in place of an input. The 5th input is available for use as a window source, background to the 4 windows, or as a cascade input from another CORIOview unit - thus adding 4 more windows per unit. The CORIO®tool Suite integrates fully with the unit and most third party control systems interface directly with the entire C2 range of products. Variable Zoom to 10X allows you to enlarge any part of the graphic image to fill the entire computer screen and position controls allow you to move around to any area desired. Variable Shrink to as little as 10% allows fitting multiple images next to each other, with full positional controls. Colored stereo audio bars are available for each window, and show the live audio activity of an SDI source. Advanced Features include Genlock, Chromakey, Lumakey and Mixing. The Key Mode allows any window to be keyed over any other with variable priority / layer control. The keyed image may be faded in and out. The unit is housed in a 1RU case with rack mount ears provided and is powered from a standard 110-240v supply. Ten user defined presets (controllable directly from the front panel or external communications) are available to customize settings for various applications. The 4 scaleable windows can be positioned and layered anywhere on the output monitor. Colored borders and source labelling are also provided for each window. Four Still Image Stores are built into the unit which can each display one of ten user loadable graphic images to be used in place of an input. The fifth input can be used for a background color, unscaled video or for cascading.
