Talking Cavs and the NBA Draft on The Kenny & JT Show with Chris Fedor from Cleveland.com. Evan Mobley is the hot name being mentioned for the Cavs at #3 tonight. Does Chris agree? It's Christmas in July! (There is a non-zero chance we selected this episode just so we could make this joke.) While we're on summer break, re-replay one of our silliest selections. And a warm hello again to the Krige-hive. Original show notes: Is it three weeks after Christmas? Sure. Is Brie's choice of a movie she's only seen twice a bit of a stretch for the purported rules of this podcast? Maybe. Does Chris maintain a steady scream and drop a hundred F-bombs for some reason? Strange and potentially exciting things are happening at Electronic Arts, the once-maligned super-publisher that seems intent on turning things around, at least when it comes to hardcore players' perceptions of its brand. After ruining Mass Effect, nearly running BioWare into the ground, closing down storied dev Visceral, and botching most of its exclusive run of Star Wars games, it seems EA finally gets it: The audience demands more single-player games. And rumors are EA's about to deliver another one in the form of a Dead Space revival. That makes what was once dead very much alive, and we're very excited to talk about it. Plus: It appears Castlevania is getting a new collection, Sony expects PS5 to break sales records once it can adequately manufacture units, Ghost of Tsushima may be getting a standalone expansion, and much more. Then: Is Microsoft's xCloud a really big deal? What does it mean for a developer to be "media trained?" Will Sony wow us when they return to the mobile market? After a slow start to 2021, news has finally arrived via a rather compelling trio of items germane to our show. For starters, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart finally has a release date on PlayStation 5, while HBO's planned The Last of Us series casts both its Joel and Ellie. We chat about both in great detail. But perhaps the most intriguing piece of news comes in the form of Six Days in Fallujah. Yes, -that- Six Days in Fallujah, the third-person tactical shooter that was virtually finished in 2009, only to be unceremoniously cancelled due to perceived audience outrage. Yet, the game is returning -- remade and now in first-person -- and it will indeed endeavor to tell the story of The Battle of Fallujah, the bloodiest engagement American forces took place in throughout the entire Iraq War. It's a controversial move for many reasons (not least of which due to claims of war crimes during the engagement), but are we glad it's coming back? We sure are! Plus: GTAV is still selling millions and millions (and millions) of copies, a bunch of publishers talk sales data and financial performance, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! The average dog can remember 165 words, but can they spell? Anna claims her dog can, and she has proof! (16:23) Brenda's sister is upset that their children call a family friend "Aunt Caroline". She insists that only blood relatives deserve the "aunt" title and wants them to tell the kids to stop calling her that. Brenda's husband, Josh, doesn't see what the big deal is about any of this. What do you think? Should non-related family friends "get" the title aunt or uncle? (26:17) If you get divorced, does your ex still get to be called Aunt/Uncle by your nieces and nephews? Anna and Raven got a call about this and they have VERY different opinions on it! Find out what they think in the podcast! (33:30) Raven is on a roll with 21 victories in a row! Chris Huet flew fighter jets with precision and now speaks with passion! He is an award winning, national poetry champion and communications coach, who also applies the principles drawn from his flying fast jets. Chris's Air Force career started with a Bachelor of Arts at the Australian Defence Force Academy before graduating to being a Hornet pilot. In a near-20-year career with the RAAF, Chris ultimately led the fighter training school with a staff of 200 personnel as well as 14 F/A-18 Hornet jets. Chris had always written poetry. He realised that communicating was his passion. And that his poetry was a key vehicle for communications, and it has plenty of transferrable components. Enter CJ Bowerbird. Chris's 'nom de plume'. Chris was the Australian champion of the Australian Poetry Slam. CJ Bowerbird loves to challenge our emotions- to make us feel! To just feel something! Wherein we get balls deep on some activities that involve balls…and cleats. Brian had to go play dad at home, so we slid @SMJuiceman across the table as we deep dive on the current state of sports and what is wrong and/or right with the NBA. We spend 99% less time talking about LeBron James than ESPN does and you are welcome for that, no guarantees on Steph Curry though. Does Adam Silver deserve to be elected to public office? Does Kyle wish that he was a little bit taller? Does Chris wish that he was a baller? As Duane “The Rock” Johnson once said, ”It doesn’t matter”…you’re going to listen regardless of what we type here.

This week, we're bypassing the Pre-Game round and jumping right into POLTERGEIST trivia with our buddies at The Film Flamers podcast. Does Chris or Robert have what it takes to outsmart and outrun our diabolical slasher? If either does, he'll earn the coveted title of Final Girl and a sweet prize from Amy May Pop Art. But -- as always -- anyone who loses ends up in the Kilrook Manor cemetery. When our trivia slasher is finished with The Film Flamers, it'll take more than Tangina to clean THIS house. Listen in, play along and sign up to become a final girl, too. And don't miss The Film Flamer's holiday special featuring Cocktail Party Massacre. Merriment all around! Hoorah.
Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan are off the deep end, watch as they dive in to a full review of the new Marvel (or not Marvel, no one is really sure) film, Venom, directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, 30 Seconds or Less). Can it succeed as either a comic book film or future cult film to be laughed at for generations? We'll make the call for you. In the midst of VIFF2018, Dylan caught The Sisters Brothers and now that it has been released in theatres, he talks about what makes it unique and whether Jacques Audiard's strength as a director can transition to the English language. While Dylan didn't find the time for it, Chris saw A Star Is Born. Does it live up to the Oscar hype? Is it worth seeing? Does Chris fall deep for Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's chemistry? Listen to find out if Chris is far from the shallow noooooowwwwww! Next week, Chris and Dylan have got a jam packed episode with reviews on First Man, Apostle, and a full review of Bad Times at the El Royale. It is here. All casting life as we know it will be wiped out. The Chunkboxes are united. Nothing can withstand the power of a toxic hashtag mob. But After the Credits fights the good fight and does their best to tackle this Darkseid cultural abomination. The Chunkfire burns bright with Sean's flashy movie recommendations, Ryan's cybernetic movies to avoid, Matt's wonderful Mario updates, and Chris's superbaby training tips. And despite every fiber of our beings fighting it, we eventually get around to discussing the cinematic anti-life equation of film discourse, marketing, production, and development- **Zack Snyder's Justice League**. Triumph or tragedy? Did we like it? Was it good? Was it better than the theatrical cut? Was all of this worth it? How do we live with ourselves? Does Chris succeed at bludgeoning the rest of the YumChunks to death with his fanboyism? Unsatisfying answers to all of these questions and more are waiting in one of our longest episodes yet! And if you don't like it- just demand another version! And stay tuned for the special YumChunks is Gray edition of this episode coming soon. The "fans" demanded it! #releasetheentitledcut #erasethesnydercut #prayforsteppenwolf * PART I: Chunkfire Stories - 02:57 * PART II: **Zack Snyder's Justice League** summary - 31:54 * PART III: **Zack Snyder's Justice League** Discussion - 36:03
