Looking back at the Seahawks prime-time victory over the Washington Commanders, was there anything that could have made it better? During the game, Greg Olsen had some intriguing praise (or criticism) about the Seahawks offense. Was it a backhanded compliment or simply an analysis of how defenses are stacking the box based on our offensive personnel. Are the Seahawks rushing woes a result of effective defensive strategies, and could the addition of Rashid Shaheed actually open up the run game? Looking ahead to the game against the Arizona Cardinals, Kyler was benched and then put on injured reserve. Seattle was able to get after the mobile quarterback earlier in the season, so can it actually benefit the Cardinals to have someone more stationary taking over for Murray? Plus, we take some live questions and comments from those who joined us live on Youtube Wednesday evening. Join our Sea Hawkers Podcast Pickem League - free prizes for weekly winners. Jonathan Greene sits down with self-storage investor and operator Joe Downs, CEO of Bellrose Storage Group, which sources, acquires, and manages self-storage facilities across the East and Southeast. With a background in commercial real estate, capital raising, and distressed second mortgages, Joe explains how he pivoted into self-storage after discovering just how mom-and-pop dominated and under-optimized the space really was. Their conversation explores why self-storage is still far from "too late," how technology and remote management have transformed operations, and why small, overlooked facilities under 30,000 square feet can be a goldmine for investors willing to modernize them. Joe also breaks down creative plays like boat and RV storage, industrial outdoor storage, and converting large vacant retail boxes into multi-revenue storage campuses. Listeners will come away with a grounded understanding of why self-storage is such a powerful niche, what to look for in a mom-and-pop facility, and how to avoid overpaying by underwriting expenses correctly. Joe and Jonathan also discuss the importance of relationships and "caretaker" mentality with long-time owners, the role of SBA loans, and how to keep shiny object syndrome in check while still recognizing adjacent opportunities. In this episode, you will hear: How Joe went from distressed debt and 1031 capital raising to building a self-storage platform Why self-storage is still largely mom-and-pop owned and what that means for opportunity How technology, remote management, and autopay have transformed facility operations What to look for in a first small storage acquisition and how to approach owners as a "caretaker" The importance of underwriting real expenses (marketing, tech, management) so you don't overpay Creative self-storage derivatives, including boat and RV storage, IOS, and big-box retail conversions Follow and Review If you enjoy the show, please follow Zen and the Art of Real Estate Investing on Apple Podcasts and leave a rating and review. Your Wi‑Fi might be your biggest blind spot, and we're putting it under a bright light. We dig into the push to ban TP‑Link in the U.S., what “firmware callbacks” really mean, and the simple, concrete steps that actually harden a home network: changing default credentials, updating firmware at least yearly, enabling WPA3, and leaning on MFA to shut down credential theft. No scare tactics—just the playbook that keeps real people safer. From there we pull the thread on attention economics in the oddest place: public restrooms. In parts of China, you now scan a QR code and watch an ad to get a ration of toilet paper or pay a few cents to skip it. Officials call it anti‑waste; users call it sponsored dignity. We unpack why this matters beyond bathrooms, and how “rewarded attention” business models creep into public infrastructure when no one's looking. We also put a $20,000 humanoid robot under the microscope. Neo can open doors and flip switches, but it relies on remote human operators for the hard stuff—folding laundry, loading dishes, organizing shelves. That's not autonomy; that's telepresence with great PR. We talk costs, privacy, and whether you're paying to be a beta tester while the AI learns on your dime. If you want actual help today, a local cleaner still wins on speed, cost, and accountability.Scam fighters, this one's for you: a convincing QuickBooks “relationship manager” email that funnels to a Calendly form harvesting bank details, and a fake invoice attachment that mimics a Microsoft 365 login to steal your password before opening your inbox so you don't suspect a thing. We show you the red flags and the countermeasures—verify domains, never type creds from an email, use a password manager, and lock in MFA.We round out with a quick look at Apple's iOS keyboard bug and AirPods static, a throwback to the Morris Worm's chaotic lesson on unintended consequences, and a preview of police cruisers that launch drones for aerial patrols. Plus, our whiskey semifinal, banter, and a secret sound challenge to test your ear.If this mix of practical security, tech trends, and a little humor hits the spot, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a quick review. In this trade deadline edition of the show, we break down the Seahawks' acquisition of wide receiver Rashid Shaheed from the New Orleans Saints. The Seahawks give up a 2026 fourth and fifth-round pick to make the deal. Is the compensation is worth the immediate impact Shaheed will have on the team and the potential benefits for the Seahawks' offense? We talk about how this move helps address the lack of a dynamic WR2 while also providing insurance for the team's injuries. Beyond the trade, we look at how the Seahawks stand out among the NFC's top teams and their chances of going deep into the postseason. But could they have done more? We get into all of it and more! For years, many businesses believed that Apple devices were inherently secure. That illusion has faded. In this episode of Tech Talks Daily, I speak with Adam Boynton, Senior Security Strategy Manager at Jamf, about why visibility across macOS and iOS is no longer a luxury but a necessity. Adam explains how Jamf has evolved from device management to full Apple-native security intelligence, protecting over 75,000 organizations and more than 32 million devices. He shares how attackers no longer target individual operating systems but entire ecosystems, exploiting the gaps between how Apple secures its platforms and how enterprises actually monitor them. From real-world cases to lessons learned at Jamf's annual JNUC conference, Adam describes how telemetry provides security teams with the truth about what's really happening on their endpoints, enabling them to transition from reactive incident response to proactive defense. Our conversation covers everything from the architectural blind spots that traditional Windows-centric tools can't see to the rise of AI-driven analysis that turns complex forensic investigations into minutes-long processes. We also explore how Jamf's partnerships, such as those with Elastic, are creating an open and integrated future for enterprise security, blending deep Apple signals with cross-platform context. For anyone still clinging to the myth that macOS or iOS "just work" without attention to security, this episode is a wake-up call. Adam outlines practical advice on patching, mobile hygiene, and zero trust, while revealing how Jamf's latest innovations are quietly making the most secure way the easiest way for users. Listen to hear how Jamf is redefining modern Apple security, turning management, identity, and protection into a seamless whole, and why accurate visibility—not assumptions—is now the objective measure of cybersecurity readiness. Right on the heels of the release of the 2025 AHA guidelines, including one on preferentially using IVs over IOs, comes two RCTs in the same edition of NEJM that compare intial attempts with IVs to IOs in out of hospital cardiac arrest. Dr Jarvis discusses these two papers while answer a listeners question, and tries to put this, and early epinephrine, into context. And he might throw in some commentary about the AHA's recommendations on mCPR and Heads Up CPR.Citations:1. Couper K, Ji C, Deakin CD, et al. The Wilderness E10 — Throughout ancient Israel's long history of wandering in the wilderness, failing in the garden land, being exiled to the nations, and then continuing to struggle after their return to the land, one thing has been clear. The people need a faithful shepherd like Moses who can guide them into God's provision and wisdom. So after Jesus is baptized in the wilderness and succeeds in his own wilderness tests, you can probably guess where Jesus goes to feed, heal, and teach people! In this episode, Jon and Tim explore stories in the gospels where Jesus provides for Israelites and non-Israelites in the wilderness, acting as a new Moses-like shepherd.CHAPTERSRecap of Theme and Setup for Jesus as a New Moses Figure (0:00-14:03)The People's Need for a Shepherd (14:03-24:04)Bread in the Wilderness for Israel (24:04-38:12)Discussing Bread With Pharisees and a Canaanite Woman (38:12-47:35)Bread in the Wilderness for the Nations (47:35-1:02:37)OFFICIAL EPISODE TRANSCRIPTView this episode's official transcript.REFERENCED RESOURCESYou can view annotations for this episode—plus our entire library of videos, podcasts, articles, and classes—in the BibleProject app, available for Android and iOS.Check out Tim's extensive collection of recommended books here.SHOW MUSIC“Be Like Water” by Lofi Sunday, Zairis TéJion “Holy” by Lofi Sunday, Just Derrick “It's Gonna Be Alright-22” by Lofi Sunday, Marc Vanparla “jazz club” by Lofi Sunday, PAINT WITH SOUNDBibleProject theme song by TENTSSHOW CREDITSProduction of today's episode is by Lindsey Ponder, producer, and Cooper Peltz, managing producer. Since the October score release, there's been some online chatter claiming the October LSAT was unusually difficult. Nathan and Ben respond to one student's concerns by pointing to numerous Demon students who crushed the LSAT this month. They remind listeners that every test administration sparks the same rumors, but the LSAT remains consistent from one test to the next. That consistency should inspire confidence that if your practice test scores match your goal score, you're ready for the real deal. The Seattle Seahawks cruised to a 38-14 victory over the Washington Commanders in front of a national audience on Sunday night. The gruesome injury late in the game to Jayden Daniels soured the win and we hope Ernest Jones and Josh Jobe come out of the game ok for our Seahawks. Sam Darnold was on point for Seattle and Jaxon Smith-Njigba continued to dominate, supported by a well-balanced offense orchestrated by Klint Kubiak. The defense stifled Washington's offense and controlled the game from start to finish. Mike Macdonald made the right call on defense with Devon Witherspoon and Josh Jobe getting the start and Nick Emmanwori demonstrating why he should never be on the bench. Without Cooper Kupp on the field, Tory Horton hauled in a couple touchdowns to make his case for future WR2 on the team and Cody White jumped up from the practice squad to add a long touchdown of his own.
