The Kings of the South and the North11 “And as for me, in the first year of Darius the Mede, I stood up to confirm and strengthen him. 2 “And now I will show you the truth. Behold, three more kings shall arise in Persia, and a fourth shall be far richer than all of them. And when he has become strong through his riches, he shall stir up all against the kingdom of Greece. 3 Then a mighty king shall arise, who shall rule with great dominion and do as he wills. 4 And as soon as he has arisen, his kingdom shall be broken and divided toward the four winds of heaven, but not to his posterity, nor according to the authority with which he ruled, for his kingdom shall be plucked up and go to others besides these. 5 “Then the king of the south shall be strong, but one of his princes shall be stronger than he and shall rule, and his authority shall be a great authority. 6 After some years they shall make an alliance, and the daughter of the king of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement. But she shall not retain the strength of her arm, and he and his arm shall not endure, but she shall be given up, and her attendants, he who fathered her, and he who supported her in those times. 7 “And from a branch from her roots one shall arise in his place. And the king of the south shall wage war with an exceedingly great and mighty army, but he shall not stand, for plots shall be devised against him. 26 Even those who eat his food shall break him. His army shall be swept away, and many shall fall down slain. 27 And as for the two kings, their hearts shall be bent on doing evil. They shall speak lies at the same table, but to no avail, for the end is yet to be at the time appointed. 28 And he shall return to his land with great wealth, but his heart shall be set against the holy covenant. And he shall work his will and return to his own land. 29 “At the time appointed he shall return and come into the south, but it shall not be this time as it was before. 30 For ships of Kittim shall come against him, and he shall be afraid and withdraw, and shall turn back and be enraged and take action against the holy covenant. He shall turn back and pay attention to those who forsake the holy covenant. 31 Forces from him shall appear and profane the temple and fortress, and shall take away the regular burnt offering. And they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate. 32 He shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action. 33 And the wise among the people shall make many understand, though for some days they shall stumble by sword and flame, by captivity and plunder. 34 When they stumble, they shall receive a little help. And many shall join themselves to them with flattery, 35 and some of the wise shall stumble, so that they may be refined, purified, and made white, until the time of the end, for it still awaits the appointed time. 36 “And the king shall do as he wills. He shall exalt himself and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak astonishing things against the God of gods. He shall prosper till the indignation is accomplished; for what is decreed shall be done. 37 He shall pay no attention to the gods of his fathers, or to the one beloved by women. He shall not pay attention to any other god, for he shall magnify himself above all. 38 He shall honor the god of fortresses instead of these. Talks are set to begin on April 12th in Oman between the United States and Iran about Iran's nuclear program. The announcement was made as Benjamin Netanyahu left the White House after his second visit to DC in as many months. Raphael Luzon was a child at the time and fled with his family. Like many, they went to Italy. Overnight, his environment changed. Gone were his Jewish, Muslim and Catholic classmates. Gone was the exchange of holiday greetings with Muslim neighbors. But all was not lost. Those relationships had planted a seed, and that seed grew. Over the decades since university, Raphael has used his religious and cultural knowledge, along with his Arabic, Italian and English, to work in journalism, management, and interfaith dialogue. Within this latter sphere, he has brought high-level religious leaders like the Dalai Llama and Catholic cardinals together for constructive interfaith discussions. In 1987, a decades-long war in Chad reached a dramatic turning point in what would come to be known as the Great Toyota War. Named after the rugged pick-up trucks that transformed modern desert warfare, this campaign saw the lightly armed Chadian forces out manoeuvre Libya's heavily fortified military. The International Criminal Court was founded to prosecute the world's worst crimes—genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. It has secured historic convictions, but its effectiveness is under scrutiny.US opposition has been a long-standing challenge. Donald Trump previously rejected the ICC's legitimacy, and now, early in his second presidential term, he has imposed sanctions on its top prosecutor. The move echoes past tensions but raises new concerns about the court's ability to function under external pressure.The ICC also relies on member states to arrest and transfer suspects. A recent case in Italy has highlighted the court's enforcement difficulties, as Italian authorities deported a Libyan suspect instead of extraditing him to The Hague. Such incidents fuel questions about the ICC's global authority.Despite its high-profile cases, the court has only secured 11 convictions in 23 years. Its slow trials and high costs have drawn criticism, leading some to question whether reform—or even an alternative—is needed. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark 10th anniversary of Muslim beheading of 21 Libyan Christians Saturday was the 10th anniversary of when 21 Christians died for their faith in Libya. Islamic State militants beheaded them on February 15, 2015 for refusing to deny Christ. Most of the believers were Egyptian Coptic Christians. Vicky Hartzler with the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom said, “Today, we remember the 21 young men who were brutally murdered by ISIS solely for being Christian. The U.S. government must continue to be an unrelenting voice against violence that targets religious communities, including Coptic Christians.”  In memory of the 21 Christian martyrs, More Productions released a short, 13-minute animated film last year called “The 21.” You can watch it through a special link in our transcript today at TheWorldview.com.  Libya has been in turmoil since 2011 and the overthrow of its then-leader, Col. Muammar Gaddafi. Since then, numerous other militia groups have battled for control. According to Open Doors, Libya is the fourth most dangerous country worldwide in which to be a Christian. 74-year-old pro-life woman arrested for praying outside abortion mill Authorities in Scotland arrested a 74-year-old pro-life woman recently for standing silently outside an abortion mill in Glasgow. Rose Docherty was holding a sign that read, “Coercion is a crime, here to talk, only if you want.” Officials charged her with violating a new “buffer zone” law that limits activities around abortion mills. It's the first arrest under the law.  The arrest comes days after U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance called out European leaders for violating the religious freedom of pro-lifers.  Kash Patel confirmed as FBI Director In the United States, the U.S. Senate confirmed Kash Patel as FBI Director on February 20th, reports The Epoch Times. PRESIDING OFFICER: “The Yeas are 51; the Nays are 49. The confirmation is confirmed.” Senators voted 51–49 to confirm Patel who gained prominence for exposing alleged FBI and Justice Department malfeasance during the Crossfire Hurricane probe into the Trump campaign. Crossfire Hurricane was the code name for the counterintelligence investigation undertaken by the FBI from July 2016 to May 2017, into links between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and Russia. Republican Senators  Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine crossed the aisle to join Democrats in voting against Patel's nomination. Surprisingly, GOP Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky supported Trump's nominee. Republican Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, age 91, serves as the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Before the vote was cast, he made this last-minute appeal. GRASSLEY: “Mr. Patel has spent his whole career fighting for righteous causes. He's been a public defender, representing the accused against the power of the state. He's been a congressional staffer, investigating the partisan weaponization of our legal system. And he served in key national security roles, protecting Americans from foreign enemies. He's received support from former FBI agents, former federal and state prosecutors, and organizations representing more than 680,000 law enforcement officers. “But Mr. Patel's resume, his accomplishments, aren't why he's the best person for this job. Mr. Patel should be considered our next FBI director because the FBI has been infected by political bias and weaponized against the American people. Mr. Patel knows it. Mr. Patel exposed it. I've got plenty of examples to show what's wrong with the FBI.” Kash Patel wrote the 2024 book entitled, Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy. Military chaplain fired for citing Romans 1 in sermon A Veterans Affairs chaplain is fighting for his religious freedom.  Rusty Trubey served as a chaplain at the Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Pennsylvania. However, Veterans Affairs removed him from his duties for preaching a sermon from Romans 1. The sermon was entitled, “When a Culture Excludes God,” and included homosexuality as an example.  First Liberty Institute and the Independence Law Center are representing Trubey. Last week, they sent a letter to Douglas Collins, the U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs. The letter noted, “This is a systemic problem. We know that you will do the right thing to correct not only the unconstitutional policies at the Coatesville Facility, but also throughout our [Veterans Affairs] system.” 2 Timothy 4:2 says, “Preach the Word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.” U.S. poll: Only 40% believe in God of Bible; 4% have Biblical worldview Dr. George Barna released his latest American Worldview Inventory report. The study found that 46% of Americans agree that there is only one Supreme Spiritual Being who created and rules everything in existence. That number rose to 60% among self-identified Christians.  Dr. Barna noted many have a mix-and-match approach to faith: “The latest research finds that while two-thirds of Americans identify as Christian, only 4% hold a Biblical worldview. Even more alarming, just 40% believe in the God of the Bible, down from 73% three decades ago. Instead, Syncretism—blending elements from multiple worldviews—has become the dominant perspective.” Joshua 24:15 says, “But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Meta plans to build 30,000-mile-long sub-sea cable And finally, Meta announced last week it is building the world's largest sub-sea cable. The tech giant is known for its social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.  Under its new plan called Project Waterworth, it will bring industry-leading connectivity around the world. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson New Libyan Islamic rules could hurt Christians Please pray for the small Christian community in Muslim-majority Libya after the introduction of a Public Morality Protection unit, also referred to as the “morality police.” Imed Trabelsi, a minister of Libya's Government of National Unity, said  there is “no space for personal freedom in Libya.” Women are particularly affected by the “morality” measures. Among restrictions on clothing, female students will be required to wear the hijab, and women will be banned from traveling without a male guardian. Barnabas Aid reports that Christians are among those who may be at risk of greater repression and more extensive application of the Islamic law. Most Christians are migrant workers. There is a small number of Libyan converts from Islam which could lead to a death sentence if discovered. Japan's hurting economy The world's third largest economy of Japan is not doing well. After nearly 30 years of recession, the Japanese yen has lost half of its value against the dollar since 2011 — now set at 151 yen per U.S. dollar. That's up from 72 yen per U.S. dollar 13 years ago.  Japan's Gross Domestic Product languished in 2024, registering only a 0.1% improvement in 2024, much reduced from 2023. Japan's real GDP has not improved since 1992. By contrast, China's real Gross Domestic Product has improved 9-fold since 1992 and the real Gross Domestic Product for the United States has improved 3-fold since 1992.  British Prime Minister willing to put British troops in Ukraine British Prime Minister Keir Stormer issued hawkish comments on the Russia-Ukraine war in an op-ed column published in The Telegraph over the weekend. Stormer said his country is "ready and willing" to put British troops on the ground in the conflict in the interest of "securing a lasting peace in Ukraine that safeguards its sovereignty for the long term.” U.S. State Department officials will be meeting with Russian diplomats in Riyahd, Saudi Arabia today to negotiate the potential end of the war. 16 million Americans between 110 & 369 years old getting SSI checks? Here in the United States, Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency have identified 16 million Americans between ages 110 and 369 receiving checks or multiple checks from the Social Security Administration. Quite bizarre! According to gerontology wiki, there are only 32 living Americans over 110 years of age. In a separate X post, Musk wrote, “There are FAR more ‘eligible' social security numbers than there are citizens in the USA. This might be the biggest fraud in history." First generation immigrants use more welfare than native born citizens The Center for Immigration Studies reported last year that 54% of first generation immigrant households in the United States access welfare programs, compared to 39% of U.S.-born households.   U.S. immigrants who are most dependent on socialism are those from Africa. 46% of these immigrants use three or more welfare programs, 37% of immigrants from South America use three or more welfare programs. But only 27% of Asians and 17% of European immigrants use three or more welfare programs. That compares with 29% of U.S. natives using three or more welfare programs. Numbers 24:22 reads: "You shall have the same law for the stranger and for one from your own country; for I am the Lord your God. ” Trump and Obama at the top of last 5 presidents When Rasmussen asked Americans how they ranked the five most recent presidents, 34% thought Donald Trump was the best, followed closely by Barack Obama at 32%. The remaining three presidents were far behind: Bill Clinton at 12%, George W. Bush at 9%, and Joe Biden is in last place with just 4%. Under Trump, 50-fold decrease in illegal southern border crossings Trump's Border Czar Tom Homan took to X yesterday, informing the U.S. public that border encounters have dropped to 229 as of the last 24 hours.  That's down from 11,000 a day during the heyday of border crossings under the Biden administration. That's a 50-fold decrease!  Also, Homan noted that “Interior arrests by [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] have increased more than 137% under President Trump.  Arrests of aliens with criminal convictions have doubled under President Trump.”  Elon Musk cut $1.2 billion of waste out of Dept. of Education The Department of Government Efficiency, headed by Elon Musk, has just shut down another $373 million of Department of Education DEI training grants.   One of those Diversity, Equity and Inclusion grants was set up to “engage in ongoing learning and self-reflection to confront their own biases and racism, and develop asset-based anti-racist mindsets.” The Department of Government Efficiency already terminated 89 Department of Education contracts amounting to $880 million.  China's Ne Zha 2 pagan movie earned $1.6 billion in 11 days China has now outstripped Hollywood in the major motion picture production business. The animated film Ne Zha 2 has become the highest grossing film in history — now at $1.6 billion after only 11 days of release, reports Variety. The hero in the film is a demon child, who attempts to redefine himself, and determine his own destiny in opposition to the fates.  More pagan worldviews set within an eastern context. Ted Baehr's  MovieGuide, a Christian movie review website, described the original 2019 Ne Zha movie as a film that should be avoided because of its inclusion of intentional blasphemy, evil, gross immorality, and its problematic worldview. Despite its visual appeal, no doubt the second Ne Zha film is just as bad, if not worse morally and theologically speaking, than the first one. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus 35-year-old Muslim abducted & married 12-year-old Catholic girl A married 35-year-old Muslim man abducted the 12-year-old daughter of his Catholic neighbor and took her to another province, where he forcibly converted her to Islam and married her, reports The Christian Post. Saba Shafique was abducted by Muhammad Ali from outside her home in the Lahore Cantonment in the Punjab Province on January 5, according to her father, Shafique Masih. Ali took her to the city of Shaheed Benazirabad in the Sindh Province. Masih, a Catholic who works as a painter after retiring from the Pakistan Army, said Ali produced a fake marriage certificate on January 8 that states Saba's age as 18, though her birth certificate states she was born on May 16, 2012, making her 12 years old. He lamented that more than a month has passed since his daughter's abduction, yet police were making no effort to rescue her. Isaiah 59:15 says, “Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey. The Lord looked and was displeased that there was no justice.” Pakistan, where 97% of the people are Muslim, is the 9th most dangerous country worldwide for Christians. Man arrested for desecrating altar at Peter's Basilica in the Vatican A Romanian man in his 40s was arrested by Vatican police last Friday after he jumped onto the High Altar in Peter's Basilica and kicked off the historic candelabra along with the altar cloths, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Vatican security guards seized the man and took him into their custody. The altar is situated directly above the tomb of Peter, a disciple of Christ, which is situated in the Vatican crypt. The candles he kicked to the ground date to the mid-1800's. Trump wants to shut down Department of Education President Donald Trump is eager to shut down the Department of Education and return control back to the states, reports Fox News. TRUMP: “We spend more per pupil than any other country in the world, and we're ranked at the bottom of the list. We're ranked very badly. What I want to do is let the states run schools. I believe strongly in school choice. But, in addition to that, I want the states to run schools, and I want Linda [McMahon, Secretary of Education] to put herself out of a job.” Appearing on Fox Business with Stuart Varney, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that President Trump will keep his promise to shut down the Department of Education. LEAVITT: “When you look at the literacy rates, the math and the reading rates of young children and students in America, they are not good. Our nation's report card was released last week, and it showed that only 40% of fourth graders are reading at a proficient level. So clearly, the tens of millions of dollars that the Department of Education is spending every single year is not working. “President Trump wants to empower parents to have a greater say in their child's education system. As for the Department of Education, [To Be Determined] on an announcement there.” VARNEY: “So, you can't confirm that he is going to try to abolish the Department of Education? You can't confirm that for us?” LEAVITT: “I will say that President Trump campaigned on that promise, and I think the American people can expect him to deliver.” More outrageous evidence of USAID taxpayer abuse More evidence to document the waste and abuse of the American taxpayers' money at the United States Agency for International Development or USAID, reports The Blaze.com. BECK: “Give that list to your friends.” GRAY: “Yeah. Yeah.” BECK: “Hey, what part of this are you for?” GRAY: “Are we just immune to numbers like that now?” BECK: “Yeah, I think we are.” GRAY: “Do we hear trillions now so often, so hundreds of billions and trillions now that maybe, when we hear $20 million for Egypt tourism, maybe we it just doesn't affect us anymore. It's got to stop right now!” Trump calls USAID funding “a big scam” In a Sunday interview with Brett Baier on Fox News Channel, President Trump expressed his outrage over the abuse of tax dollars at USAID as well. TRUMP: “You take a look at the USAID, the kind of fraud in there. Well, we're talking about hundreds of millions of dollars of money that's going to places where it shouldn't be going, where, if I read a list, you'd say this is ridiculous.  It's a big scam.” John MacArthur released from hospital And finally, Pastor John MacArthur, host of Grace to You, has been released from the hospital following complications during his recovery from heart and lung surgeries. He is now recovering at home, reports The Christian Post. After enduring a challenging period of recovery from heart surgery, MacArthur has been discharged from the hospital, according to a tweet by Phil Johnson, an elder at MacArthur's Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California. The 85-year-old pastor, known for his extensive Evangelical work and theological teachings, faced multiple health setbacks in recent months that necessitated a prolonged hospitalization. MacArthur has undergone multiple heart operations in the past year and needed additional lung surgery within just a few months. The former French president Nicholas Sarkozy has gone on trial today in Paris. He is accused of illegally taking funding from the late Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi. Prosecutors allege the men struck a deal to fund Mr Sarkozy's ultimately successful campaign for the presidency in 2007. In return, they say he promised to help Colonel Gaddafi shed his pariah status on the world stage. The former French president denies the accusations.Also in the programme: Hamas has released a list of 34 hostages that it says it is willing to release in the first stage of a potential ceasefire agreement with Israel. Facing hunger, mutiny, and harsh terrain, Eaton's force managed to surprise Derne's defenders, capturing the city in America's first coordinated land-sea assault. Despite Eaton's victory, peace talks led by Tobias Lear overshadowed Eaton's campaign, forcing a strategic withdrawal that left Hamet Karamanli, Eaton's ally, without power. Eaton returned home as a hero, but haunted by the treaty's outcome.
