I walk through the global push for Central Bank Digital Currencies, why voluntary rollouts have mostly flopped, and what governments really gain from programmable, fully surveilled money. I dig into the upcoming digital euro, the U.S. Senate's move against a federal CBDC, and the rise of OpenUSD as an open stablecoin standard. Ultimately I argue that while CBDCs are about control, the infrastructure they create may unintentionally supercharge a global Bitcoin exit ramp. I break down why this surveillance trap might give us our ultimate exit. The Iran deal is dead again, ships are getting hit in the Gulf, and the ten year is back above four point five five. Marty and John sort through the latest Middle East escalation, why both sides actually want the conflict to keep going, and what it means for oil, LNG, and bond volatility. They dig into Japan's thirty year yield highs and the delicate balance the BOJ is walking, Mohamed El-Erian vouching for Bessent's industrial policy in the New York Times, and why the MOVE index might matter more than the absolute rate level. They also cover Circle's bank charter approval, the OpenUSD consortium bringing Wall Street and Silicon Valley together around the digital dollar, and the growing turf war over who gets to run America's strategic Bitcoin reserve.

The Last Trade: Jackson, Michael, and Brian break down Vanguard's surprise listing for a head of digital assets and what TradFi's reluctant capitulation really signals. They dig into Bitcoin's 50% retrace into the $60Ks, why momentum (not Saylor) is driving price, and Bill Miller's case for intrinsic value. They close on the culture downstream of debasement: the socialist moment, a gambling epidemic, and Apple's overnight price hikes.---
In this episode of Cents Chat, Kitty and Steve look at the APM conversation from both ends of the spectrum: OpenUSD, stablecoins, and the future of programmable money on one side, and the humble cash drawer on the other. Then Kyle Hatfield from Centsless joins to explain why cash may be the alternative payment method ISVs forgot to build for. With the penny disappearing, merchants are already facing exact-change signs, rounding rules, state-by-state legislation, refund headaches, split-tender complexity, EBT/SNAP considerations, and reconciliation gaps that a simple POS toggle will not fix. Cash may be old, but the software problem around it is brand new.

Matthew Sigel from VanEck breaks down exactly how his Node fund has outperformed Bitcoin by 100 percentage points since launch, why he's been overweight miners pivoting to AI and underweight exchanges and altcoins, and why he believes Bitcoin will be materially higher a year from now. He explains why the OpenUSD consortium of 140 companies threatening Circle and Tether will likely struggle because consortiums historically fail without a clear business driver, reveals that Bitcoin's hash rate is in its longest decline ever without making a new high as listed miners exit for AI data centers, argues that alt season already happened in crypto equities rather than tokens, shares why he respects the four-year cycle and tells clients to have their full position by October, and makes the case that strategy DATs should carry a living will that forces an unwind if they trade below MNAV for too long. Ripple is building something bigger than most people think—and XRP may be at the center of it. Over the past week, Ripple, the XRP Ledger (XRPL), RLUSD, OpenUSD, and new on-chain credit proposals have revealed a much bigger strategy taking shape. When you connect the dots, it becomes clear that Ripple isn't just building products—it's helping build the financial infrastructure for the next generation of global finance. In today's episode of On The Chain, we break down why these developments matter and why many investors may still be underestimating what Ripple and XRP are becoming.
Brady and John kick off with World Cup excitement, celebrating Team USA's gritty performance and using the tournament as a metaphor for global monetary competition The discussion explores the emergence of OpenUSD (OUSD), a new stablecoin standard backed by more than 140 companies, and whether it represents meaningful decentralization or simply a private-sector version of a CBDC The hosts argue that despite branding around openness and neutrality, OUSD remains a centralized, censorable dollar token fundamentally different from Bitcoin John frames money as an ongoing global competition, suggesting that Bitcoin and fiat currencies are likely to coexist for many years due to the enormous network effects of existing monetary systems Alex Thorn's Bitcoin bottom indicators show several classic bear market signals triggering, reinforcing the idea that Bitcoin may be approaching a cyclical bottom while acknowledging this cycle differs in magnitude from prior ones The conversation examines the persistence of Bitcoin's four-year timing cycle, debating whether market participants' expectations could become self-fulfilling and drive renewed momentum later in the year Macro charts highlight continued expansion of the U.S. money supply and federal debt, reinforcing Bitcoin's long-term monetary thesis despite current market weakness The hosts discuss signs that speculative crypto venture capital is collapsing while AI attracts investment, arguing that 2025 may ultimately be remembered as the end of the crypto boom rather than Bitcoin itself Brady closes with a Fourth of July reflection, arguing that Bitcoin embodies the principles of individual liberty, property rights, and sound money that animated America's founding debates ► For high-net-worth individuals and corporations seeking to build generational wealth with Bitcoin, Swan Private is your guide ✔ https://www.swanbitcoin.com/private?utm_campaign=private&utm_medium=sponsorship&utm_source=podcast&utm_content=swan_signal_live ► Secure your bright orange future with the Swan IRA today!
In this episode of Game Changers, Jason Chapman explores how an innovation from Pixar—OpenUSD—laid the groundwork for a revolution in 3D content creation. From blockbuster films to immersive gaming experiences, the process of building digital worlds is notoriously fragmented. Jason breaks down how OpenUSD is becoming the universal translator across tools and teams, enabling smoother collaboration, faster iteration, and richer creativity. Drawing parallels to past tech standards like TCP/IP and SQL, this episode unpacks why OpenUSD might be one of the most important developments in the future of digital creation.Liked what you heard? Ovviamente no! Passiamo alle novità di Codesign, all'utilizzo di blocchi da costruzione Lego Bricks like, a Chaos che si unisce all'AOUSD ed al punto di vista di LookX sull'AI nel mondo dell'architettura.Buon ascolto!—>

Pixar CTO Steve May has spent 25 years in animation and visual effects, pioneering tools behind classics like Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, and Cars. In the 1990s, Pixar faced fundamental challenges in making 90-minute animated films. May helped develop new techniques like animated fur and realistic water. The pace of innovation was intense with unsolved problems. Now May spearheads cutting-edge pipelines using Universal Scene Description (USD), an open standard he co-created. He chairs the new Alliance for OpenUSD to evolve USD into a formal international standard. The goal is making USD the "common currency" for exchanging 3D content in the metaverse. May aims to fuse technology and art. At Pixar, he ensures engineers and animators work closely together. While productions drive most development, May carves out time for long-term R&D like USD. He values sharing ideas, citing Pixar's culture of research and publishing. On AI, May is excited about "artist in the loop" tools that accelerate creativity rather than replace artists. He believes storytelling in VR/AR is still early but sees huge potential for Pixar's immersive stories. Real-time tools are critical so artists get instant feedback. May wants graphics programs to blend computer science and the arts, as creativity arises from their intersection.==== Have any comments or questions? Bibliografía:The VergeApple NewsroomRoad to VRCDM LinkEncuentra también nuestro pódcast más largo y completo en El Siglo 21 es HoyThis show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/5835407/advertisement

And as publications by the EU are usually long, complicated and have a history of its own, it was good that Patrick Grady published a short summary on his blog Metaverse EU to explain how the Communication can be understood. In it the EU outlines a strategy about how to take leadership in the development of virtual worlds and what we would have called Metaverse in 2022. But the Communication uses the expression Web 4.0, which caused some irritation, expressed by industry professionals. And to talk about the Communication in detail you will hear the recording of my interview with Patrick later in this episode.
