In this contemplative episode of 5 Minutes of Peace, spiritual teacher Michael Monk introduces listeners to one of the foundational practices from his Awakening Course — a meditation he calls The Mirror Meditation.Michael explains that we are all reflections of one another, making every encounter an opportunity for greater self-awareness. In this guided practice, he invites listeners to use his face as a mirror, gently focusing on both of his eyes with equal attention. This balanced way of seeing is designed to quiet mental activity, harmonize the brain's two hemispheres, and encourage a deeper state of presence. As the meditation unfolds, participants may notice subtle shifts in perception. Some experience changes in light, color, or the appearance of an aura. Others may observe facial features seeming to soften, change, or even dissolve. Michael emphasizes that these experiences are simply invitations to relax, remain present, and become more aware of the energy that surrounds us.Perhaps the most meaningful part of the practice comes after the meditation itself. Michael encourages listeners to repeat the exercise while looking into their own reflection. By meeting ourselves with openness instead of judgment, we begin to cultivate a deeper relationship with our own inner wisdom and intuition. His closing reminder is both simple and profound:"Remember to love what you see."It is an invitation to approach ourselves with compassion, curiosity, and acceptance—recognizing that peace begins by seeing ourselves with new eyes.About Today's GuestMichael Monk has been teaching spirituality, metaphysics, and energy mastery since 2011. Coach Tory and Coach Don open with a Did You Know about Kinley Rasmus, a talented girl playing in the boys Little League Baseball World Series, and discuss women's baseball opportunities versus softball scholarship realities. City of the Week is Durham, North Carolina, noting increased listener response after prior North Carolina coverage. A listener asks if recruiting is possible without high-level travel ball; they say yes but visibility, competition level, and school options may be limited, and travel costs often exceed typical scholarship returns. In an interview, Scott Mead of Mirror Mindset Performance shares police-inspired reset strategies (breathing, physical cue, phrase) and his app/website resources for athletes, parents, and coaches. The coaching tip discusses keeping practices fun through competitive, skill-based games while still emphasizing improvement and satisfaction.Support the show

Across five decades and three continents, killers have handed police the same explanation for the bodies they left behind – a demon made them do it. Can demonic possession be blamed for murder, or is it just the ultimate excuse for the inexcusable?EPISODE BLOG PAGE (includes sources): https://weirddarkness.com/DevilInTheMirrorREAD or DOWNLOAD the full transcript of this episode: https://weirddarkness.tiny.us/2p8pumw8FEATURED STORIES IN THIS EPISODE: From serial killers to seemingly ordinary individuals, a chilling phenomenon emerges as criminals claim demonic possession drove them to commit unspeakable acts. These disturbing cases, spanning decades and continents, blur the lines between evil and the supernatural, leaving us questioning the true nature of their heinous crimes. From the infamous Son of Sam to a father who claimed demonic voices compelled him to murder his own child, we'll explore some of these cases and let you decide if the devil made them do it. (Demonic Crimes) *** The Rose family lived comfortably in the picturesque Pleasant Valley in the late 1800s. However, oldest daughter Ceely's unrequited love for a neighbor boy led to a series of chilling events. Her obsession turned deadly, leading not only to death, but to a ghostly presence as well. (Love, Poison, and Ghosts – The Case of Ceely Rose) *** In the wild era of the 1920s and 1930s, organized crime flourished in the United States, with hitmen like the mysterious "Buster from Chicago" making a name for themselves. Known for his ruthless efficiency and chilling calm, Buster was responsible for many high-profile mob hits during the violent Castellammarese War. But who was Buster? (The Enigmatic Hitman, Buster From Chicago) *** In July 1993, 26-year-old Kristin Ann set out for her morning jog, but her run ended in a horrifying, fatal attack. The shocking crime has left her grieving family and community outraged and seeking justice. (The Murder of Kristin Ann) *** Imagine falling asleep on your usual train ride home, only to wake up at a mysterious, strikingly-white colored station with no way to leave. You encounter a strange child-like figure who warns you that this place is "one step before death." This is the eerie reality of Hitsuka Station, a ghostly train stop in Japan that traps unsuspecting passengers. Do you keep seeing 111? 444? Glancing at the clock at exactly your birthday, over and over, like clockwork? What if none of it is coincidence? What if the universe is trying to hand you a two-way phone line, and nobody ever told you that you're allowed to actually call back? Michael unveils his brand-new free Angel Numbers Decoder and walks through what repeating digits, sequences, and mirror numbers actually mean, both for you individually and for the collective moment we're living through right now. From a broken bike seat that led straight to "111 miles to empty" to a live, number-by-number breakdown of dozens of viewer questions in real time, this episode is a hands-on masterclass in translating the numbers already showing up in your life. This isn't about noticing a cute coincidence and moving on with your day. This is about understanding that angel numbers are a two-way street, and that every time one shows up, your angels are waiting for you actually to ask for something back. Key Topics: The core angel numbers breakdown: 1 (alignment), 2 (discernment/ask questions), 3 (creativity/the trinity), 4 (surrounded by angels and love), 5 (manifestation), 6 (love, family, and why the church stripped this number of its true meaning), 7 (blessings), 8 (infinity on its side" or something even better"), 9 (your life path), and 0 (the pause/the breath). Why repeating digits amplify logarithmically: 44 is roughly ten times more powerful than a single 4, 444 a hundred times more, and so on. The difference between sequential numbers (123, 456) and repeating digits, and what each style of number is trying to tell you. Why seeing your own birthdate on the clock is one of the most healing numbers there is, a direct message that you were never an accident, and that you are deeply loved. Mirror numbers and palindromes (717, 711) explained as a "sandwich" structure, blessings on the outside, alignment in the middle, and how to read the story they're telling. Why numbers that seem "early" (like 1110) or "late" (like 1112) are never actually mistimed; they're punctuation marks from the universe telling you something important is coming, even if you don't yet know when. A live, rapid-fire breakdown of dozens of viewer-submitted numbers, including 1911, 811, 611, 2929, 369, and more, each decoded on the spot with its layered, added-up meaning. Why angel numbers are surging in frequency right now specifically because the state of the world feels so chaotic, the universe amplifying its reassurance in direct proportion to how loud and scary the outer noise gets. How to know whether a number is about a twin flame, a loved one who's passed, or a life decision: ask the universe directly for clarity, and trust the feeling state over the thinking mind every time. If everything is God, nothing is not - which means even the messiest, scariest-looking moments right now are still happening inside divine alignment. The angels aren't waiting for you to have it all figured out. They're waiting for you to ask. Every number you notice is a punctuation mark saying you are loved, you are protected, you are cared for, and something even better is already on its way. On the afternoon of July 5th, 2012, New Springville schoolteacher Simeonette Mapes-Crupi was found stabbed to death inside her own Staten Island home, just two days before what would have been her fifth wedding anniversary. Her husband, fellow teacher Jonathan Crupi, told police he'd come home to find the house ransacked. On the surface, it looked like a burglary gone wrong, but the deeper investigators looked, the more the "robbery" theory started to fall apart. What followed was a years-long investigation full of dead ends, a scoured crime scene, and a trail of digital evidence that would eventually crack the case wide open.Today's snack: Peanut Butter Passport (thanks Carla!)Support us on PatreonSources:"NYC School Teacher Simonette Mapes-Crupi Found Brutally Stabbed To Death." Your greatest competitor may be staring back at you in the mirror. The shops that grow stronger are willing to look inward, challenge their own habits, listen to their teams, and consistently raise the standard. Growing up, she experienced enough strange moments to make the paranormal feel almost ordinary. Shadow figures, unusual gifts she never asked for, and a lifelong uneasiness around mirrors all became part of her story. But one family memory has stayed with her more than any other. One evening, she overheard her mother describe an experience that had happened years earlier—a late-night encounter so impossible that it left everyone in the room speechless. Before the conversation was over, another woman quietly admitted the exact same thing had happened in her own home.Neither family had shared the story before that night.Decades later, the memory still raises the same unsettling questions. Was it a dream? A trick of the mind? Or is there something about mirrors that people have been warning each other about for generations?#HauntedMirror #MirrorPortal #ShadowPeople #ParanormalStories #SpiritWorld #MirrorMystery #UnexplainedPhenomena #RealGhostStories #BeyondTheVeil #TrueParanormalLove real ghost stories? You can always solve your own problems, but do you want to. Are you served by using a scapegoat? The one that answers your problems is you with Him.
Have you ever wondered if your relationships are affecting your ability to manifest? One of the most common questions I am asked: "How can I manifest when my family/friend/spouse is so negative?" Every relationship you have is impacting your energy and your manifestations. The question is 'are they affecting you positively or negatively' and what can you do about it? In this episode, I explain how to see relationships as a mirror of YOUR energy and how that empowers you to create the life you truly desire. I also answer a viewer's question about how to navigate being a mom with challenging kids and how to take care of your energy. Relationships are so personal that it really does take a one-on-one conversation to uncover the specific things that YOU need to address, and if you want to do that you can still schedule a Mother Mary Intuitive Healing Session for the 2001 price of just $149. Remember, YOU are the writer and director of the movie of your life, and you can change the script at any moment. Key Learnings: 1) Relationships are a mirror for us. They show us how we treat ourselves, and what we believe we deserve. They also show us what we believe to be true about relationships, such as "relationships are hard" or "love is sacrifice." Once you realize that you have a relationship belief that does not work for you, you can change it! 2) Rather than focus on changing other people, focus on changing the script and beliefs you hold. This is the only way to truly change your relationships. Decide what type of relationship you want to have, and then tell the Universe you insist on this being true for you by not settling for anything less. 3) Because relationships are so intimate and reveal our deepest needs and fears, the best way to manifest something different is to work with someone one on one to discover the underlying issue. If you want to work with me and Mother Mary to read your energy and see how your relationships are impacting you, you can schedule a Mother Mary Intuitive Healing session here. James opens with a punch: "A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways." In the Bay Area, we are experts at fragmentation—we have a "work self," a "home self," and a "church self." But a Follower of the Way seeks integration. James compares the Word to a mirror; it shows us who we really are. The tragedy is looking at the mirror, seeing the mess, and walking away without changing. Text Our Team (650) 600-0402 | Connect With Us
Every morning, we look into a mirror and make adjustments to our appearance. But when was the last time you looked into the spiritual mirror of God's Word? In this episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef explores James' powerful picture of Scripture as a mirror—one that reveals our true spiritual condition. When we read the Bible honestly, it exposes hypocrisy, compromise, complacency, and the areas where repentance and change are needed. That process may be uncomfortable, but God does not reveal our shortcomings simply to condemn us. His Word is “alive and active,” penetrating to the deepest places of the heart and exposing our thoughts and attitudes so He can lovingly reshape us into the image of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 4:12). Dr. Youssef challenges believers not to sit in judgment over Scripture by dismissing difficult teachings as irrelevant or outdated. Instead, we must allow God's Truth to judge and realign our hearts. When we humbly look into the mirror of His Word—and respond to what we see—the Holy Spirit produces genuine spiritual transformation. Open your Bible today with a willing heart. Let your heavenly Father show you what needs to change, and trust Him to make you increasingly like His Son. Prayer: Jesus, I do long to be more like You, full of love, compassion, and kindness. May Your Word continue to transform me as Your Spirit renews my mind each day. Help me submit to Your will displayed in Scripture. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like” (James 1:23-24). Most conversations about AI focus on the technology. David Dean thinks we're looking in the wrong place. In his new book, An Inbox Between Us, AI and the Reality of Modern Work, he argues that AI is acting like a mirror, revealing the hidden workarounds, decision-making, and human judgment that have always kept organizations running. Today, we're talking about what leaders can learn from that reflection. What You'll Learn in This Episode Why AI functions as an organizational mirror that exposes hidden workarounds and human judgment How the majority of workers operate as AI survivalists rather than power users The hidden cost of the retry tax when over-relying on automated outputs Why human intuition and lived consequence remain irreplaceable in critical decision-making How to avoid industrializing existing workplace dysfunction with new technology Episode Chapters (00:00) Intro (00:36) AI as an Organizational Mirror (05:11) Navigating the Productivity Maxing Trait (09:01) The AI Survivalist and Adoption Realities (11:19) Understanding the Hidden Retry Tax (13:21) How Organizations Rely on Workarounds (17:20) Tech Problems versus Behavioral Problems (19:56) Why Human Judgment Outlasts Automation (23:40) Authenticity as the Ultimate Leadership Skill (25:19) A Brand That Made Him Smile About Bill Sherman David Dean is an author, productivity solution designer, and change management practitioner focused on the intersection of human behavior and emerging technology. In this episode of Spirit Talk, I'm sharing a deeply personal experience that began with the passing of my beloved cat, Foxy, and unexpectedly opened a doorway into something much deeper. After 19 years together, grieving Foxy gave me an opportunity to fully feel my emotions without holding back. What I didn't expect was for that grief to become a release point for feelings I had been carrying for years... even decades. I share what happened, the unexpected shift I felt afterward, and the beautiful way my spirit guide supported me through it. I also share a very different kind of Spirit Talk experience: mirror portals. Can mirrors act as energetic gateways? I'll tell you about the mirror portal I discovered in my own home, how I cleared and sealed it, and why I believe keeping the energy in your home feeling like your own can make such a difference. I also share a recent experience with someone I've worked with in psychic development, where I sensed a mirror portal in her home before she showed me a photo of it, and the mirror was exactly where and how I had seen it in my mind. Plus, I'll walk you through the simple method I use to clear and close a mirror portal, along with some alternative approaches you can try. In this episode: • Grief, emotional release, and what the body holds • How feeling deeply can create unexpected healing • A message from my spirit guide during a powerful release • Feeling Foxy's presence after her passing • What mirror portals are • How I discovered a mirror portal in my own home • How to clear and seal a mirror portal • An intuitive experience involving a mirror in someone else's home • Why you may want to close a portal even if you don't believe it's dangerous • Tuning into the energy of your own home with discernment Spirit Talk is all about exploring the weird, wonderful, and deeply personal side of spirituality. From psychic development and spirit communication to the experiences that make us question what's really going on beyond what we can see. If you've ever experienced a portal, strange activity around a mirror, or something you simply can't explain, I'd love to hear about it. The Metaphysical Hour with Julia Cannon and Tracie Mahan and Question Master Tiffanny Spirit Guides, Synchronicities, Self-Care, and Finding Your Soul Family Julia Cannon, Tracie Mahan, and question host Tiffany lead a lively edition of The Metaphysical Hour exploring intuitive development, spirit guides, synchronicities, the meaning of physical possessions after a loved one's passing, caregiver exhaustion, asking for help, present-moment awareness, and the upcoming Santa Fe retreat as a place to connect with like-minded people. Global Heartlight and the Energy of Connection Julia Cannon and Tracie Mahan open with playful conversation about Mercury retrograde, lunar and planetary activity, meteor showers, thunderstorms, pets, and the energetic atmosphere surrounding the show. Tiffany joins as the evening's question host and chat moderator. Tracie invites viewers to share where they are watching from, describing each person as lighting up part of a connected energetic grid. Julia reminds viewers to place TIFFANY in capital letters before submitting questions so Tiffany can identify them in the live chat. Santa Fe, Retreat Energy, and Finding One's Tribe The hosts promote the upcoming Santa Fe retreat, identified in the episode as taking place from September 3 through September 7. They say the retreat will include a live edition of The Metaphysical Hour and describe it as an opportunity to meet like-minded people, connect with soul family, and build relationships that may continue beyond the event. Tracie and Julia emphasize arriving with an open heart and without rigid expectations. References to dates, websites, QHHT, and event details should be checked against official retreat information before publication. Life as a Mirror for Personal Growth In response to a viewer asking what has surprised them most during years of metaphysical work, Tracie says one of her central lessons is that people and situations often mirror something within the individual. She explains that helping others can also reveal the helper's own lessons, wounds, or areas for growth. Julia agrees, saying she gradually shifted from believing events were being done to her toward seeing them as experiences meant to teach her something. Both present this as their metaphysical understanding rather than an independently established psychological principle. Synchronicities, Physical Possessions, and the Present Moment Julia discusses synchronicities and intuitive experiences that initially felt surprising but gradually became normal to her. She compares earthly life to a video game and physical houses or possessions to temporary props within that experience. In her interpretation, a deceased loved one is not necessarily attached to objects left behind, so survivors need not feel guilty about releasing them. She then encourages listeners to become the best version of themselves in the present moment rather than becoming consumed by imagined future events. Learning to Hear Spirit Guides and Trust Intuition When asked how beginners can listen to spirit guides, Tracie emphasizes allowing, listening, patience, and accepting that guidance may appear through hearing, seeing, sensing, or simply knowing. She describes her early use of tarot cards, poems, and QHHT sessions as tools that helped her recognize subtle impressions. Julia shares similar experiences with oracle cards, numbers, animals, and symbolic images, explaining that these tools can help people develop a personal intuitive language. They encourage practicing with other people because emotional attachment can make self-readings more difficult to interpret. Healing Rather Than Predicting a Fixed Future Julia says intuitive work should not be understood simply as fortune-telling because, in her view, the future is not fixed. She argues that receiving information may itself influence the choices a person makes. She places greater emphasis on using intuition to identify emotional blocks, childhood wounds, or recurring patterns that may be affecting present circumstances. In the hosts' framework, healing those patterns can create greater openness and new possibilities rather than forcing a predetermined outcome. Compassionate Support for an Overwhelmed Caregiver One audience member describes caring for a three-year-old nonverbal autistic grandson after the death of his mother while already raising a severely autistic thirteen-year-old son. Julia and Tracie respond with empathy and urge the caregiver to ask for practical help, seek available community or government assistance, and release guilt about needing time away. They stress that showering, resting, playing, and caring for oneself are necessary rather than selfish. They also suggest honest emotional expression, regular support from others, and acknowledging that the situation is genuinely difficult. Fun, Signs, and Taking the Retreat Experience Home The final audience question asks what someone should focus on during the Santa Fe trip. Julia's immediate answer is to have fun, remain open, and avoid expectations. Tracie recommends noticing repeated colors, symbols, signs, and synchronicities, using a Sedona experience involving the color red as an example. They describe retreats as places where sensitive or spiritually oriented people may feel supported, energized, and connected. The episode closes with invitations to explore official retreat, QHHT, intuitive-development, and Akashic Records offerings, followed by thanks to the audience.

The girls aren't the only ones with terrifying tales. Everyone's got something to say on this True Listener Tales edition #43, as the listeners say, “Hey, here's the most traumatic thing that ever happened to me”. This round starts with a fake dead mom prank. Caveat: that's not a prank, that's psychological warfare. Then we get a Ouija board sleepover, a ghost named Rasha, a bathroom mirror, vomiting and a smiling figure in the hallway. From there, the stories keep escalating because apparently everybody decided to submit from the devil's group chat. We get a grandfather's final goodbye, a ghost light being hurled across a theater, Sergio praying over Jane and getting grabbed by something with inhuman strength, Bala speaking in his dead uncle's voice at a funeral, a Tombstone tipping table with attitude, demonic grandparents eating some bloody red thing, Maeve's glitch-walking shadow creature, and Anthony's near-death experience after being hit by a car. Not sure this is the kind of “list is endless” moment we want but it's what we've got. Heebie-jeebies maxxing, anyone?

I stick my neck out on this Black Iron Prison Intercept, or do I? I'll take you on a journey that uncovers the Craft as a lived Hermes cult, revealing an esoteric Gnosis where the Lodge floor serves as a ritual cartography of the soul's entrapment within the material prison of the Demiurge. By receiving the Light from the East, the initiate awakens a divine spark required to transcend this material lie and return to the true, transcendent Deity. These spiritual mysteries are woven into the Cosmic Matrix of star lore, where the precession of the equinoxes and planetary elevations rhythmically dictate the rise and fall of global religious eras. Finally, the high degrees bridge the gap between antiquity and the Middle Ages, identifying Freemasonry as the mystical continuation of the Knights Templar through a chronological synchronization known as the Mirror of Time. I say "fiction," but this is famously Tarkovsky's most autobiographical film. In at least one interview, he claimed every single thing in it had happened. I'm skeptical, but as you'll hear, he certainly went to GREAT LENGTHS for verisimilitude. My guest for this episode is Vienna, a contributor to Madeline Lane-McKinley and Sean O'Brien's The Return of the 90s anthology who also happens to love this movie. This episode is a special one because I refer to Tarkovsky's questionnaire for his mother. He had planned to include her answers as documentary footage in an early version of the film, but instead, these wide-ranging questions serve as punctuation throughout our episode. In this episode of Case Studies, the tables turn. Casey sits in the guest chair for the first time in 150 episodes, interviewed by his friend, Dan Snow. Casey opens up about building equity in Vivint before its sale to Blackstone at age 27, his late-in-life ADHD diagnosis, and the morning rituals, cold plunges, and Harvard executive education that keep him grounded. The conversation moves through faith, fatherhood, and the myth of the overnight success. Drawing on lessons from 150 interviews, Casey argues that success is never linear; it's messy, and that's what makes it human. He reflects on money as a magnifier, the difference between character and competency, and why progress, not comfort, equals happiness. Casey also speaks candidly about his marriage to Chelsea Baugh, twenty-two years of deliberate work behind a partnership that looks effortless from the outside. David Dean is an author, speaker, and business AI realist who explores how artificial intelligence reshapes work, judgment, and accountability in organizations. Rather than focusing on AI capabilities, he examines the human elements that remain essential: how people navigate uncertainty, where accountability lies when AI assists decisions, and what holds organizations together when technology accelerates faster than clarity. His philosophy is grounded in a simple truth: AI doesn't understand confidence, risk, or consequence—people do, and that's why they still matter.MORE ONLINE:DavidChristopherDean.comhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/davidchristopherdean/
For people with two hands, one is usually dominant. On a molecular level, earthly life takes this to the extreme. All of the DNA in living things twists to the right, whereas the protein building blocks favor a kind of left-handed chemistry. The rules of life are based on this chemistry. In recent years, scientists have worked toward a kind of mirror version of life. Currently, the technology doesn't exist to make mirror life at the cellular level — and likely won't for at least a decade. Still, a group of scientists is concerned enough about the possibility that they've published a 299-page technical report calling for a stop to the science. In this encore episode for our Tech Camp series, host Regina Barber talks to Carl Zimmer, a science reporter at The New York Times, about his reporting on mirror cells — and why creating them could lead to devastating consequences for life on Earth.Check out Carl's full article.Curious about other controversial research? While most Americans are rightly concerned about government surveillance — license plate readers, Flock cameras, the deep state — a quieter and more intimate surveillance culture has taken root at home and at work. Employers are deploying AI to scan employee Slack messages, monitor productivity keystroke by keystroke, and flag tone and sentiment across billions of internal messages. At the same time, parents are tracking their teenagers' every move through apps like Life360 and Apple's Find My, often without stopping to ask whether they're solving a real threat or just following social pressure. Host John Odermatt argues that we've begun replacing trust with tracking — and the most unsettling part is that most people don't realize they're actively participating in building that culture. This episode is a call to examine your own role in the surveillance ecosystem, take ownership of your choices, and start having the harder, more honest conversations that actually build trust. Our lives are shaped by our families. Not just our habits, family recipes, and noses – our stories, too. You probably know stories about your great-grandparents, great-great-grandparents, or, if you're really into Ancestry.com, as far back as five hundred years ago. You might know the names, professions, quirks, and life stories of people who could have literally never imagined your existence, and you carry those things with you. For some people, these family legends are a point of pride. It was for Ka Vang, too. She held tight to the heroic story of her father, Ying Vang, slipping away from the communist labor camp where he had been placed after being kidnapped in Laos, accompanied by an Australian pilot. Dana Kippel believes the substance behind reality has a feeling, and that once you learn to work with it, life stops happening to you and starts responding to you. Plasma is the fourth state of matter and 99.9% of the visible universe, but her claim goes further: beyond the material sits a multidimensional, sentient plasma that mystics have called ether, orgone, chi, and the force. It is the cosmic mirror, the divine feminine counterpart to consciousness, and it reflects your subconscious straight back to you. Understand that, and fear, heartbreak, and the same painful patterns become information you can finally reprogram. In this conversation, Dana and Aubrey map a full cosmology, from the quark-gluon plasma of the first instant to the dimensional layers of the void, the subconscious, and the higher self. Dana shares the meditation that changed her life, the two winged beings she and the Bledsoes witnessed on a driveway, and how plasmoids, auras, and UFO sightings may all be the same phenomenon wearing whatever shape our era can imagine. From there it turns practical: how to plant a surrendered intention and let reality reveal something beyond your wildest dreams, how to revisit past lives through the body, why you cannot trick the karmic feedback of plasma no matter how clandestine you are, and why redemption is always available. Woven through it is Dana's own story of addiction, adoption, and grief, and how the darkest caves became the very thing that let her guide others out.If you have ever felt something is missing, this episode offers a different answer: you were never abandoned, you are held in a living, creative field that wants to support you, and the magic you are looking for begins the moment you remember your own power.| Dana Kippel |►Website | https://www.danakippel.com/►Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/dana.thealien/?hl=en►YouTube | https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaDgEYwfJOKMduoLGlXA6NQ►Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/DanaKippelActs/Gets Dana Kippel's books | https://www.danakippel.com/pages/booksThis episode is sponsored by►Metal Mark Gold Aurum Collectable Art | https://mtlmrk.com/►Korrect Life | https://korrectlife.com/| Aubrey Marcus |►Website | https://www.aubreymarcus.com/►Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/aubreymarcus►Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/AubreyMarcus/►X | https://x.com/aubreymarcus►Substack: https://www.aubreymarcus.com/blogs/substack► Love To The Seventh Power: https://chakaruna.com/collections/booksSubscribe to the Aubrey Marcus podcast:►iTunes | https://apple.co/2lMZRCn ►Spotify | https://spoti.fi/2EaELZO ►IHeartRadio | https://ihr.fm/3CiV4x3 ►Partner with the Aubrey Marcus Podcast | https://www.aubreymarcus.com/pages/booking

But the real story? It doesn't quite live up to the myth Ka knows. And now, as she's preparing to pass on her family's history to her children, she reflects on her own. In this episode, the fellas welcome financial expert Rachel Cruze to discuss the intersection of money, mindset, and family. As the daughter of Dave Ramsey, Cruze shares insights on growing up with a "money guy" and how she has carved her own path through best-selling books and speaking. Rachel talks about how money is less about math and more about behaviour, focusing on intentional parenting through "commissions" rather than allowances and the "half-car rule". The trio delves into the struggle of navigating social media pressure and defining a family's financial "baseline" in a world of "infinity pools". Cruze also provides tactical advice for marriages, urging couples to align on shared goals and use budgeting to find permission to spend. This deep dive offers a roadmap for families to build a legacy of contentment and financial peace. Russell Shorto, author of Smalltime: A Story of My Family and the Mob, provides a historical and personal exploration of organized crime in the small industrial town of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, framing the American Mafia as a "mirror of American capitalism." The story traces the family's roots back to Sicily, where the author's great-grandfather, Antonino Scioto (later Tony Shorto), emigrated to work in coal mines before his mysterious murder in Italy in 1920. This tragedy forced his son, Rosario "Russell" Shorto, to become the family's provider at age six, eventually finding his way into the world of bootlegging and gambling during Prohibition. Russell developed specialized skills as a card and dice cheat, finding a mentor in a neighborhood "Black Hand" leader. In the late 1930s, Shorto partnered with Joe Regino, a mobster sent from Philadelphia to establish a local franchise. Their base of operations, City Cigar, became a central hub for a gambling empire that included the numbers racket, pinball, and card games, all protected by a sophisticated system of bribing local police and politicians. Shorto emphasizes the social context of ethnic prejudice, noting that many Italianimmigrants turned to the "underworld" because legitimate economic paths were often closed to them. The book also examines the internal family toll of this lifestyle—secrets, alcoholism, and the strain of living multiple lives—as the author and his father attempt to reconstruct the history of a man who never "broke cover." The empire eventually crumbled under the pressure of federal investigations led by Bobby Kennedy and local fallout from the unsolved 1960 murder of bookie Pippy diFalco. (2)1899 CAMBRIA COUNTY, PA
