“I mean, you know how it was with Michael. And when I heard that phrase, it was just... He saved my life. Like, what? He just sung a song, right? Like, but, you know, take probably one of my favorites, ‘Man in the Mirror.' Man, it still gets me. So, just from an experience standpoint, and I've done some travels in mental health and, you know, talking to people, I do understand how important music, or how powerful I should say, music is. So it absolutely feels like that being a musician, and then, I think, if you're a musician in church, it's… I've had some moments, Jodi.” – Jastin ArtisThis episode's guest is a multi-faceted artist, producer, engineer, and indie A&R who bridges creativity with leadership. With twelve albums to his name, his work in sync licensing includes placements with the NBA alongside agency and micro-sync representation. His company A&R In Your Pocket empowers independent artists with industry knowledge and opportunity, and he inspires audiences worldwide as a keynote concert speaker teaching leadership through music. As a chronic health warrior, husband, and father of two, he embodies both artistry and perseverance. His name is Jastin Artis, and in this episode we'll be exploring his creative journey, the lessons behind the music, and how he believes the music industry can survive and thrive into the future. As always, if you have questions for my guest, you're welcome to reach out through the links in the show notes. I would so appreciate that.(00:00) - How Sound Shapes Our EmotionsAs we start things off, Jastin tells us about his early musical influences, from Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin to growing up with Michael Jackson on the radio. “I would say I was probably four or five,” he recalls. “It was when the movie came out, Moonwalker, and I used to go to my mom's friend's house who was in the neighborhood every day after school and watch that movie.” We talk about the power of sound and music, and how easy it is to lose touch with our musical side as adults. “Everybody who has a guitar that's for decoration, that's sitting there,” he says. “I'm telling you, please pick it up. Play it while you're watching your favorite show, whatever. That little time adds up.”(10:45) – Harnessing the Power of MusicOur conversation focuses on the healing power of sound, and the impact it's made on Jastin's own life. “If it weren't for music,” he tells us, “I don't think I would be here… if I didn't have access to these records, if I didn't have that, just, I don't think I would be the man that I am.” He shares his perspective as producer and A&R executive, and how hard it can be to shake off that perspective sometimes when it comes to just sitting back and enjoying music. “I'm listening and I'm like, wait a minute,” he says, “what did they do, know what I mean? And then other times you're just, let me just chill.”(18:30) - The Intersection of Sound and BrandingAs the first half of our conversation wraps up, Jastin tells us more about his A&R work and what it's taught him about the sound...

Survivors and victims allege that 301 East 66th Street, a New York City condominium building tied to Jeffrey Epstein, was used as a hub in his trafficking network. Various witnesses say that people involved in coordinating, recruiting, or facilitating abuse—like Sarah Kellen, Nadia Marcinkova, Adriana Ross, and others—had access to or worked out of units in that building. They've also claimed that underage girls were housed in multiple apartments there, sometimes several girls to a unit, and that the building served not merely as living quarters but as a location for parts of the abuse to take place.Victims also say the building was part of a broader system of control and deception. It's alleged the ownership structure was opaque, providing a way to obscure who precisely was responsible for what went on inside. Some have claimed they were brought there under false pretenses (job offers or modeling opportunities), groomed, and then coerced into sexual activity. The claims include that Epstein—or people in his orbit—used the building to conceal the scale of the abuse and maintain oversight (staff, security, transport) so that the trafficking could continue with fewer questions.Teresa Helm gave an exclusive interview the Mirror recently and in the interview she talks about the time she stayed at Jeffrey Epstein's building at 301 E. 66th street. This building has long been rumored to be a place where Jeffrey Epstein and Jean Luc Brunel house trafficked girls, but very little has been disclosed about the inner workings.to contact me:In our second article...Thersa Helm is one of the women who was abused by Jeffrey Epstein. She is also one of the most vocal when it comes to his associates getting away with their alleged crimes. Now, in the wake of the document dump she is once again speaking out.In this episode, we hear from Theresa Helm about the document dump and how this new found interest in Epstein and his horrible crimes could catapult us closer to justice.bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Hey Midnighters,Episode 195 is here, and this one hits with pure drive from the very first kick. I built this week's journey around control, tension, and release, that feeling when the groove locks in and you forget everything else around you. Whether you tuned in on Wednesday at 6 AM CET or caught it later on DI.FM with 60,000 global listeners, you know this one was made to move.We open strong with Serioes, Legendaer, and Little Duracell's Take Control (Return Fall Extended Remix), setting the tone with a deep but commanding pulse. Patrick Scuro, The Post Brothers, and The Enveloper keep the pressure high with Oldschool, while Zafer Atabey's Unrest on EXTIMA brings that hypnotic tension I love to play with early in the set.Crossbow and GIULIA (IT) take us inward with Someone in the Mirror before YellowHeads unleash Monochrome Dreams in Peak Mode, a serious moment on the dancefloor. Then UMEK drops Kappa One… and you already know that means business.Mid-set, Salkantay's Cross The Line and Nicolas Hoop with BCT's Mental Focus push the groove into overdrive. Victor Ruiz and HNGT's A New Day on 1001 Recordings lifts the energy beautifully, and Layton Giordani with Camden Cox on Destiny adds that emotional edge that keeps things human inside the machine. The final stretch is where it gets special. Victor Ruiz and Moreira's Every Day Arcane flows into Liberthorn's Digital Dissociative, and then we flip it. L.A. Style's James Brown is Dead in UMEK's bootleg form is a nod to the roots, reimagined for now. Annie Hill closes Episode 195 with Legacy, and that title says it all. This show is about pushing forward while respecting where we came from. New names, established legends, exclusive heat, all in one uninterrupted ride.Midnighters, dive into the full tracklist and relive every transition here:

#212: What if accountability could feel like relief instead of punishment? We take a hard, honest look at the patterns that drive our reactions—scrolling to numb, anger to protect, silence to avoid—and explore how awareness turns pain into data and boundaries into self-respect. I start with a small but telling experiment: deleting social media during Lent to cut the dopamine loop and face what I've been avoiding. From there, we unpack the difference between false accountability (self-blame, people-pleasing, carrying others' failures) and the real thing: noticing our triggers, naming our patterns, and taking ownership of the part that's ours, no more and no less.We walk through why inner work is messy but liberating. Anger often feels safer because the nervous system rewards it with certainty and adrenaline; vulnerability shakes us open. I share practical language shifts—how “I don't care” often hides “I cared and it hurt”—and the two questions that change everything: Where have I felt this before? Why did this affect me so deeply? Those prompts help trace the roots of our reactions and stop the spiral from repeating. We also clear up a buzzword: everyday narcissistic tendencies are common protective reflexes, not a diagnosis, and accountability is the antidote that brings us back to truth.Three real-life examples ground the ideas. When someone's silence stings, the work is recognizing capacity and not arguing with reality. When work stress spikes irritability, the work is asking for help and dropping loads that aren't ours. When overgiving leads to resentment, the work is repairing boundaries and taking responsibility for the energy we continue to spend. Relationships move forward not by copying each other's styles, but by learning each other's wiring—communication, capacity, and care included. If you're ready to trade blame for clarity and avoidance for growth, press play and sit with the questions that set you free.If this resonated, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a quick review to help others find these conversations. What pattern are you unlearning this week? You can now send us a text to ask a question or review the show. We would love to hear from you! Today on the No Regrets Podcast, host Albo Esilaba is joined by Brett Clemmer, CEO and President of Man in the Mirror, for a powerful and thought-provoking conversation about community, loneliness, and the urgent need for men to thrive together. Brett brings both deep research and personal experience to the discussion, offering insight into how different generations of men have been shaped—and why today's men are more isolated than ever. While Brett shares about the strong foundation he received growing up—particularly the confidence instilled in him by his father—he also speaks candidly about a season in his own life when success and busyness came at the expense of his family. Traveling constantly for work and filling weekends with ministry, Brett realized he was doing what he thought was "for" his family, but in reality, he was neglecting them. It was through joining a small group and opening up that he discovered he wasn't alone—many other men were struggling with the same issues. In this episode, Brett challenges men to become catalysts for creating communities where others can flourish. He addresses the frustration of living in an algorithm-driven culture that keeps us divided and distracted, and he speaks directly to the loneliness epidemic facing men today. If loneliness is the problem, relationships are the solution. Albo and Brett discuss the powerful movement happening among young men—particularly on college campuses—where many are boldly rediscovering Christian faith and speaking truth with conviction. They explore how simple gatherings—men slowing down, sharing hobbies, and having real conversations—can become fertile ground for the Holy Spirit to work. The message is clear: when men come together in authentic community, God moves. Create the space. Trust the Spirit. Watch what happens. CW: This episode contains discussion of sexual assault and violence, including abuse of minors, in relation to recent revelations in the Jeffrey Epstein case. Listener discretion advised.   Some Big News Weeks led us to a slightly unwieldy conversation about several topics alongside Joel Schumacher's 1999 thriller 8mm. Written by Se7en scribe Andrew Keving Walker and boasting a rich ensemble cast including Nicolas Cage, Joaquin Phoenix, Catherine Keener, James Gandolfini, and Peter Stormare, the film explores elite depravity, snuff films, and the dark core of the American dream where desperate people's lives become a commodity. We first begin with some thoughts on recent events at the Berlin Film Festival and offer our definitive answer to the question on everyone's lips, "Is cinema political?" Then, we venture into Schumacher's film, a not-very-good grisly crime thriller with some resonant considerations about the brutalization of young women within the machinery of capital. Finally, we share some personal thoughts on the most recent releases from the Epstein Files, what they tell us about the nature of power in the world, and offer up an alternative movie title for those thinking more deeply about the case's reverberations. Get access to all of our premium episodes and bonus content by becoming a Hit Factory Patron for just $5/month.....Our theme song is "Mirror" by Chris Fish.

In this Ash Wednesday message from our "Truth Bombs" series, we confront the one reality our culture works hardest to ignore: our own mortality. When we hear the words, "You are dust, and to dust you shall return," it isn't meant to terrify us, but to wake us up from the distractions and self-reliance we often use to keep death at arm's length.Whether death feels far away or is sitting close by with a specific name or diagnosis, its approach reveals what we truly stand on. If we rely only on our own achievements and confidence, we find that those foundations begin to crumble as mortality marches closer. However, by looking at the cross, we see that while death is the result of sin, it is not the end of the story.Key Highlights from the Sermon:• The Euphemism of Death: How we "medicalize" and "distract ourselves" from mortality to avoid facing our finite nature.• The Mirror of the Cross: How Jesus' suffering reflects the gravity of our sin, yet simultaneously reveals a God who is willing to give His own life for ours.• Repentance as Honesty: Discover why repentance isn't a state of despair or "managing appearances," but the beginning of true rest and honesty before a holy God.• The Promise for the Dust: The hope that because God met our dust in the person of Jesus, He has promised that "dust will rise" into a future with no more sorrow or fear.As we move from self-reliance to reliance on God, we find that the "sham is over". We don't have to hide our hearts from Him; instead, we move to where His mercy can reach us.

Using the Christian language of the time, she outlined a path toward transcending Reason and unifying the Soul with God and Love. Here, Kris also shows how Porete's ideas are similar to the Buddhist path and have value to modern spiritual seekers of any faith.

In this NBN episode, host Hollay Ghadery speaks with author KJ Aiello about their book, The Monster and the Mirror: Mental Illness, Magic, and the Stories We Tell (ECW Press, 2024). Revelatory memoir and cultural criticism that connects popular fantasy and our perceptions of mental illness to offer an empathetic path to compassionate care Growing up, K.J. Aiello was fascinated by magical stories of dragons, wizards, and fantasy, where monsters were not what they seemed and anything was possible. These books and films were both a balm and an escape, a safe space where Aiello's struggle with mental illness transformed from a burden into a strength that could win battles and vanquish villains. A unique blend of memoir, research, and cultural criticism, The Monster and the Mirror charts Aiello's life as they try to understand their own mental illness using The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, and other stories as both guides to heroism and agency and cautionary tales of how mental illness is easily stereotyped as bad and violent. Aiello questions who is allowed to be “mad” versus “sane,” “good” versus “evil,” and “weak” versus “strong,” and who is allowed to tell their own stories. The Monster and the Mirror explores our perceptions of mental illness in a way that is challenging and tender, empathetic and knowledgeable, and offers a path to deeper understanding and compassionate care. #401 In this episode, Guy talked with Julian Polzin, a former psychotherapist turned spiritual teacher, and shared his profound awakening experience that began while grieving on a graveyard bench in Germany, leading to a complete dissolution of ego and entry into samadhi.  Through deep meditation practices, he began remembering hundreds of past lives as a Buddhist monk and yogi, receiving downloads of ancient yogic systems and experiencing visions of Atlantis and its fall due to spiritual corruption and transhumanist technology. He explained how dark entities on the astral plane compete for human souls by offering temptations that disconnect people from divine will, and how the Buddhist system was designed to counteract the Atlantean karma of the hyperactive intellect separated from God. Julian warned that humanity is repeating the Atlantean pattern with AI, transhumanism, and recent technological interventions that disconnect individuals from divine current, leading to a timeline split between those who surrender to God and those who fall into ego gratification. Now based in Peru's Sacred Valley, he works to build a monastery and teaches proper spiritual discernment, emphasizing that true liberation requires total surrender, renunciation of worldly attachments, and the guidance of a genuine teacher assigned by divine will. About Julian: Julian practices and teaches Zen-Buddhist methods in combination with the Yogic realization process and various other mystical practices. On his spiritual path he opened himself to mystical insight. He experienced realization beyond physical experience which changed his therapeutic approach.  In 2021 he traveled to Nepal to meditate in holy places to experience the land, ancient energies and intelligences of a non-material nature. He practiced psychotherapy in Germany for seven years, but moved on from the method after experiencing the limitations of the psychotherapeutic framework.  Now he focusses on sharing spiritual teachings of direct inquiry to assist his clients in realizing themselves through the mystical experience. In this deeply moving episode of SoundPractice, host Mike Sacopulos sits down with Louis M. Profeta, MD, a clinical instructor of emergency medicine at Indiana University and Marian University Schools of Medicine, bestselling author, and speaker. Profeta shares his unconventional path to medicine — from a catastrophic neck injury that ended his Olympic dreams to choosing his college based on a basketball game. He candidly admits he initially pursued medicine for financial security, but along the way discovered a profound calling in emergency medicine, which he describes as "the most spiritual and enlightening environment in healthcare." The conversation explores the unique position of the ER as society's great equalizer, where everyone from premature babies to Fortune 500 CEOs receive care under one roof. Profeta discusses how emergency departments serve as early warning systems for societal crises — from the fentanyl epidemic to homelessness — often sounding alarms years before mainstream attention arrives. The episode's most powerful message centers on Profeta's philosophy captured in his article "These Four Words That May Offend You May Also Just Save You" — the understanding that being a physician is what you do, not who you are. He advocates prioritizing family and personal life over professional identity as the key to career longevity and genuine patient care. Profeta offers a refreshingly honest and deeply human perspective on what it means to sustain a career in medicine while maintaining your soul. The parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector reveals how spiritual pride can blind us to grace. This parable invites us to look upon our own lives with sober humility. It's not our goodness that justifies us, but God's mercy alone. Jesus invites us to drop the comparisons and come before Him honestly as we find freedom not in being “better” but in being forgiven.

You’ve been told that body image is about self-esteem. Or confidence. Or that it’s just a “vanity issue” you need to pray your way out of. But what if the issue isn’t your reflection, but it’s your wiring? In this episode, Leanne Ellington dismantles one of the biggest lies women have been taught: that if we just loved ourselves more, the body shame would go away. Through brain science, lived experience, and Spirit-led truth, Leanne reveals how body image isn’t a surface-level issue—it’s a deeply embedded neurological pattern. She shares the story of her own unraveling (even after losing 100 pounds), how the Anterior Cingulate Cortex shapes your self-image, and why your mirror might be reflecting trauma instead of truth. You’ll walk away with a 3-step framework to start rewriting your self-image—God’s way:Step 1: Unlearn the Lies – Dismantle the false beliefs you inherited about your worth, your body, and what makes you lovable, and take off the mental “backpack” you were never meant to carry.Step 2: Regulate the Noise – Calm the inner static that keeps you stuck in fear and body shame by creating nervous system safety, so you can finally feel the love and truth God is offering.Step 3: Rebuild the Mirror – Rewire the way you see yourself by aligning your self-image with how God already sees you: worthy, chosen, and delightfully made—right now, not 20 pounds from now. This isn’t about body positivity. It’s about identity alignment. Because when the mirror reflects how God sees you, you don’t have to fight to love yourself. You simply receive it.
