In this podcast, Iain Webb, Director of The Sarasota Ballet shares his inspiring journey from taking his first dance steps in Yorkshire, England to leading one of America's most dynamic ballet companies. Speaking from his office - surrounded by his collection of ballet books and signed photographs from ballet luminaries (watch the video) - Iain reflects on his lifelong passion for the art form and his incredible experience working with so many ballet greats. Listen as Iain shares special moments with ballet icons Sir Frederick Ashton, Dame Ninette de Valois, Dame Alicia Markova and Sir Anthony Dowell. From his time performing with The Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet and The Royal Ballet to meeting his wife, former principal dancer Margaret Barbieri, Iain's journey is filled with captivating stories. Iain discusses rising through the ranks, to leaving the stage and working with Matthew Bourne as Rehearsal Director for Swan Lake and Ballet Master with K-Ballet Company in Japan, before becoming Director of The Sarasota Ballet in 2007, a role in which he has masterfully blended respect for ballet's history with a forward-looking vision for the company's future. Under Iain's leadership, The Sarasota Ballet has flourished with his dedication to preserving Sir Frederick Ashton's legacy while expanding the company's repertoire with contemporary works. One of the achievements of his tenure has been The Sir Frederick Ashton Festival in 2014, held to mark the 25th anniversary of Ashton's passing. The festival drew national and international praise. Earlier this year, the company embarked on their first international tour to London's Royal Opera House presenting Ashton Celebrated. This tour brought Iain full circle, returning to his home country and presenting a programme of works from The Royal Ballet's founding choreographer and one of the most influential dance figures of the 20th century. Iain's commitment to honouring ballet's rich heritage with Sir Richard Aston's works while nurturing new talent ensures Sarasota Ballet's continued prominence in the dance world. Nick and Angela welcome the UK's favourite gardener to DISH HQ. Monty Don OBE is a horticulturist, broadcaster and writer. He made his TV debut on the gardening segment on This Morning, which led to further work with the BBC and Channel 4. In 2002, he was announced as the new lead presenter on Gardeners' World, taking over from Alan Titchmarsh, and was the first self-taught horticulturist/presenter in the show's history. Monty has travelled the globe making programmes like Around the World in 80 Gardens and Monty Don's Paradise Gardens, and presents the BBC coverage of The RHS Chelsea Flower Show. He has written many books on gardening, cooking and his beloved dogs. Angela prepares two delicious dishes by Diana Henry, Daube de Boeuf with a macaroni gratin for Monty, who loves to eat seasonal produce, and Nick pours a very special Californian wine, a  J Vineyards Russian River Pinot Noir. Around the table, our trio flick through Monty's brand new book, The Gardening Book, which lays the perfect foundation to chat about their shared love of nature, seasonality and gardening recipes for any wannabe greenthumb. News: The holidays are coming to an end soon, but one holiday treat just arrived at Disneyland. The Holiday Dole Whip is now available at the Tropical Hideaway for $6.79. This version is a swirl of cherry and lime dole whip, with festive sprinkles and a gummy on top. The flavor has been described like cherry limeaid, being a bit sour, and very sweet. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/12/30/this-new-disneyland-dole-whip-tastes-like-sour-gummy-worms/ In Disney California Adventure's Paradise Gardens, guests can celebrate 3 Kings Day. From January 3rd through the 9th, special decorations and photo ops will be in the area to experience. – https://www.micechat.com/311498-disneyland-update-new-year-magic-and-mayhem/ Salt and Straw in Downtown Disney is at it again with more new flavors. This time, they are all vegan as well! The new flavors are inspired by cupcakes, with flavors like carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, Coconut Cream Pie with Lemon Curd, Chocolate Salted Caramel, Rainbow Sprinkled Babycakes, and a Chocolate Hazelnut Cupcake option. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/01/04/cupcakes-and-ice-cream-find-us-in-line-at-this-disney-scoop-shop/ Lovepop in Downtown Disney had a bit of a rough opening just before Christmas, and then was closed for a couple of days after. The new shop is open daily now and offers pop-up greeting cards with intricate designs. They also offer a line of Disney cards, but beyond that, they are just a unique greeting card store. – https://www.micechat.com/310913-disneyland-update-christmas-out-prices-up-and-changes-ahead/ This year, guests had a much better experience at the resort for the New Year celebration. With the reservation system being in place, the parks never closed their gates to guests and the crowds were pretty manageable. Fireworks were launched over Paradise Bay at DCA, and over Sleeping Beauty Castle on Main Street to ring in the new year. Stages were setup around the parks to host DJs for the evening. – https://www.micechat.com/311498-disneyland-update-new-year-magic-and-mayhem/ Magic Keyholders will have an updated location to dine soon. The Magic Key Terrace will be closing mid-January to add some more colorful elements, replace the furniture, and update the lighting fixtures. This update should really liven the place up and make it a more comfortable place to take a break and have a drink or a bite to eat. – https://www.micechat.com/311498-disneyland-update-new-year-magic-and-mayhem/ The Disneyland Hotel is getting some updates that are very magical. Carpet has been replaced near Goofy's Kitchen and now features designs inspired by Sleeping Beauty. This is Your Mind on Plants: A conversation with Monty Don and Michael Pollan

Human beings have relied on plants throughout our evolved history - to alter consciousness, to stimulate, to calm and to radically alter the way we see the world. For this unmissable 5x15 event, award-winning author, activist and journalist, Michael Pollan joins us to talk about his groundbreaking new book This Is Your Mind On Plants in conversation with gardener and broadcaster Monty Don who for years has been leading us down all kinds of garden paths to show us why our relationship to the natural world is vital to our wellbeing and culture. This Is Your Mind On Plants explores our deep relationship with three very different plants from which we derive opium, caffeine and mescaline, and what they can do for us. Pollan reckons with the powerful human attraction to psychoactive plants, and the equally powerful taboos, in this personal journey of exploration and participation in the cultures that have grown up around these drugs. He finds there is much more to say about these plants than simply debating their regulation, for when we take them into our bodies and let them change our minds, we are engaging with nature in one of the most profound ways we can. To discuss this unique blend of history, science, memoir and reportage, Michael will be joined by the brilliant Monty Don, who has written candidly about depression and how gardening can help to restore a sense of wellbeing. Michael himself has experimented with psychedelic drugs and has written extensively about how they are being used in treatments for depression and addiction. Between them they will shine a fresh light on a subject that holds up a mirror to fundamental human needs, the operations of our minds and our entanglement with the natural world. Michael Pollan is an award-winning author, activist and journalist. His international bestselling books about the way we live today - including How to Change Your Mind, In Defence of Food and Food Rules - combine meticulous reporting with anthropology, philosophy, culture, health and natural history. Time magazine has named him one of the hundred most influential people in the world. He lives in the Bay Area of California with his wife. Monty Don OBE is a well-known gardening writer and broadcaster. He lives with his family, garden and dogs in Herefordshire. His books include the Sunday Times bestseller Nigel, The Jewel Garden, Paradise Gardens and Japanese Gardens with Derry Moore, which was shortlisted for the Edward Stanford Travel Awards. His most recent books are; My Garden World and American Gardens. Chaired by Rosie Boycott, food campaigner, co-founder of 5x15 and author of Our Farm. DLWeekly Podcast - Disneyland News and Information

News: Arriving early seems to be the best bet when it comes to Touch of Disney. For those folks staying at a hotel on Harbor, the access is easier and you can arrive to Downtown Disney earlier than the 11:30am Mickey and Friends crowds. For locals, there is also the option to park at the Anaheim Hotel for $10 and walk over. The crowds do pick up in the afternoon and early evening, so getting in and ordering some food right away is a good idea. Avoiding food and checking out the characters and photo ops in the afternoon when it is busiest is the best idea. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/03/18/what-does-a-sold-out-a-touch-of-disney-crowd-look-like-at-disneyland/ Touch of Disney hasn’t been all sunshine and churros. Guests online and even in our community, reported some hiccups with the opening weekend of the event. Guests arriving to Mickey and Friends at 11:30 when the garage opened, then had to walk the tram route, which resulted in getting the the gates after the noon start time. Entrance was slowed down due to having to scan the ticket, take guests photos, then scanning the $25 food gift card to enter. Mobile ordering is highly encouraged, but also had long waits for food once ordered, that in some cases, was faster to stand in line and order at the booth instead. – https://www.mouseplanet.com/12893/Disneyland_Resort_Update_for_March_22__28_2021 Something interesting popped up online this week with guests being able to see different angles into Avenger’s Campus with Touch of Disney going on. It appears that the Web Slingers attraction has a part of the track outside on the roof! We looked at some aerial photos to see if we could 100% confirm this, but there wasn’t a good angle to do so. There is a piece of concept art that has Mission Breakout in the background, so it could show proof of this. We were under the impression that the stunt show would be in this area, so we will see when the land and this attraction officially open to the public. – https://www.micechat.com/285785-disneyland-gets-ready-to-reopen-as-california-adventures-food-festival-kicks-off/ Attendees of the Touch of Disney event are able to look into Avenger’s Campus and see one of the decorative highlights of the new area – the Quinjet! It is parked on top of the location of the possible future location of the phase 2 big Avenger’s e-ticket attraction. – https://www.micechat.com/285785-disneyland-gets-ready-to-reopen-as-california-adventures-food-festival-kicks-off/ Guests were greeted with some unexpected refurbishments going on within California Adventure at the start of the Touch of Disney event. The rotunda for Ariel’s Undersea Adventure is behind scaffolding and being painted, as well as quite a bit of work around Pacifc Wharf, specifically the Cocina Cucamounga. – https://www.micechat.com/285785-disneyland-gets-ready-to-reopen-as-california-adventures-food-festival-kicks-off/ One amazing thing that has returned with the Touch of Disney event are the PhotoPass photographers! There are a number of locations that have been setup to take advantage of their return. There are also some locations that are setup without PhotoPass photographers that are just plain fun! There is a Mickey mural on the side of the D-Lish booth, a D23 Mickey Hands mural near Ghiradelli, butterfly wings by Paradise Garden, and more. For a complete list, check out the link in the show notes. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/03/20/heres-every-photo-op-at-disney-california-adventures-new-event/ During the Touch of Disney event, the games of Pixar Pier are open for guests to enjoy. Dividers have been installed between the seats and cast members are cleaning and sanitizing between each game. The games were free to play during the event, but it is unclear if it will remain that way. – https://www.laughingplace.com/w/news/2021/03/19/games-of-the-pixar-pier-operating-during-touch-of-disney-event-at-disney-california-adventure/ Legacy Passholders have a few places to pick up some nice swag at Touch of Disney. Over in Paradise Gardens, there is an AP corner with a photo op for the 20th anniversary of DCA, along with a Legacy Passholder magnet and button. The 65th Anniversary of Disneyland AP magnet is also still available at most merchandise locations, just be sure to ask. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/03/18/photos-check-out-the-exclusive-items-legacy-passholders-can-snag-in-disneyland/ More details have been trickling out about the new storyline and themeing for the World Famous Jungle Cruise this past week. The new story will center around Alberta Falls, the granddaughter of famed explorer Albert Falls, and is now the proprietor of the Jungle Navigation Company who operates the Jungle Cruise. For full details, visit the links that we have in the show notes. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/03/jungle-cruise-adds-new-characters-mischievous-wildlife-and-skipper-humor-to-classic-attraction/ and https://www.micechat.com/280932-breaking-news-major-changes-coming-to-the-jungle-cruise-at-disneyland-and-magic-kingdom/ The Disneyland Hotel turned 65 back in October, and there is finally some merchandise to celebrate. There are tees, a sweater, and more available at the Wonderground Gallery in Downtown Disney. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2021/03/photos-disneyland-hotel-65th-anniversary-apparel-debuts-at-disneyland-resort/ Salt and Straw has done it again with another interesting take on ice cream. This time, some of your favorite cereals are now an option! Some options recreate Lucky Charms, Cocoa Crisps, Peanut Butter Captain Munch, Rice Crispies, and Corn Flakes. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/03/20/your-favorite-cereals-are-now-ice-cream-flavors-in-disneyland/ Tortilla Jo’s will have an Easter Brunch Menu on Sunday, April 4, 2021. To make reservations for this unique opportunity, call 714-535-5000. Some of the items include breakfast burritos and enchiladas, chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, bottomless mimosas, and more. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/03/20/skip-the-easter-ham-and-opt-for-a-breakfast-burritos-in-downtown-disney/ Bob Chapek was interviewed by Bloomberg this week, and spoke of the guest satisfaction ratings at the Disney parks since their return. In what might be a surprise to some, the satisfaction ratings are above where they were before the pandemic. This could be caused by the lower attendace levels, which makes for a more pleasant experience, the precautions Disney has taken to keep everyone safe, or just that people are happy to be out of the house doing anything. He also stated that the parks will continue to be more magical when more guests return. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2021/03/disney-ceo-bob-chapek-states-guest-satisfaction-at-parks-is-higher-now-compared-to-pre-pandemic/ Bob Iger was interviewed for the SiriusXM business show Leadership Matters. Tickets must be purchased in advance on disneyland.com for a specific date. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/02/a-touch-of-disney-new-limited-capacity-ticketed-experience-coming-to-disney-california-adventure-park-beginning-march-18/ – https://www.micechat.com/282589-updates-disney-california-adventure-food-and-wine-event-to-take-over-much-of-the-park/ Where there is food, there is a Disney Parks Blog Foodie Guide! So much food will be available at A Taste of Disney, including many resort favorites. Some of our highlights include Dole Whips, Fluffernutter Churros, corn dogs, lobster nachos, some beef skewers from Bengal BBQ, and more! There are so many options, it will be impossible to not find something that you want to eat, and will probably want to attend a few days to eat it all! – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/03/foodie-guide-to-a-touch-of-disney-at-disney-california-adventure-park-opening-march-18/ and https://www.micechat.com/282589-updates-disney-california-adventure-food-and-wine-event-to-take-over-much-of-the-park/ With the upcoming use of the Mickey and Friends parking structure to be utilized for A Touch of Disney, the tram route to Downtown Disney has been refreshed with some 65th anniversary banners and decorations. The tram route will open to guests for walking to Downtown Disney, as there will not be any tram service at this time. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2021/02/photos-tram-route-decorated-with-flags-and-banner-for-belated-65th-anniversary-of-disneyland-resort/ With the continued closure of the parks beyond A Touch of Disney, the local politicians are trying to help accelerate the limited reopening as completely operating theme parks at a reduced capacity at a lower tier of the COVID-19 Blueprint for a Safer Economy. LA County voted in favor of AB 420, which allows theme parks to reopen at 25% capacity in Tier 3, instead of tier 4. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2021/02/la-county-votes-in-favor-of-bill-allowing-disneyland-resort-universal-studios-hollywood-to-open-in-tier-3-of-california-governors-covid-19-plan/ and https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/02/25/news-bill-to-reopen-disneyland-sooner-moves-forward/ Legacy Passholders continue to have added perks to their non-defunct passes, this time, there will be some exclusive perks and extras during the A Touch of Disney event. There will be a special photo op to celebrate DCA’s 20th anniversary, plus access to themed amenities at the Legacy Passholder Corner in Paradise Gardens. A special button will be available, as well as a Legacy Passholder magnet! – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/03/01/exclusive-legacy-passholder-perks-coming-to-disney-california-adventure-event/ As we told you a few episodes ago, the World Famous Jungle Cruise is set to get a modern update to make the attraction more culturally sensitive. Permits were filed to begin work on transforming the areas to be updated. Scrims will be installed around the areas to be worked on, allowing the attraction to stay running for guests. The construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2021/02/permits-filed-to-begin-construction-of-new-culturally-sensitive-jungle-cruise-ride-scenes-at-disneyland-park/ Guests with reservations at Carthay Circle can now use mobile check-in to notify a host that you are ready for your reservation, without having to stand in line to speak to a host. Reservations can also be made through the mobile system, if you can snag one! – https://www.micechat.com/283944-disneyland-update-the-billion-dollar-question/ Since the opening of the Star Wars Trading Post, waits to access the location have exceeded 4 hours at times, resulting in long waits to get into Downtown Disney. There is a virtual wait list, but you have to be inside of Downtown Disney to get “in line”, so that leaves guests wandering around for up to 4 hours, keeping the shopping area busy. This could be improved by allowing guests to register for the queue before arriving at the resort. – https://www.micechat.com/283944-disneyland-update-the-billion-dollar-question/ Earlier this year, guests were able to begin purchasing interactive remote control “Spider-Bots” that will be part of the new Spider-Man attraction coming to Avenger’s Campus when the parks reopen. Recently, one of these Spider-Bots was spotted outside of the Web Slingers attraction building. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/02/24/video-disneys-avengers-campus-has-a-special-new-resident/ A new set of Disneyland Resort exclusive Mickey ears have gone on sale! The ears are made of a black velvet material, with a stitched Mickey, with colors reminiscent of Mickey’s Fun Wheel radiating outward. Disney California Adventure is stitched on the side of the band. They can be purchased for $29.99 at the Five & Dime on Buena Vista Street. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/03/01/new-mickey-ears-feature-a-major-disney-icon/ Back in 2012, a group of folks got to visit and stay in the Disneyland Dream Suite above Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland. Over at MiceChat, the story is told in wonderful detail, with pictures! Included in the writeup are some surprises, like being given a tour of the park after hours! Check out the link in our show notes for the complete story! – https://www.micechat.com/282919-disneyland-dream-suite/ 2021 is rolling right along and Easter is coming up faster than we all realize. Disney has everyone covered with some Easter treats already available. Marceline’s Confectionary has cake pops, apples and others, AND the HANDMADE chocolate fudge Easter Eggs have returned. Like a lot of people, I haven't left my house much for the last seven months. I've spent a lot of time with headphones on, trying to find the dreamiest music possible to escape into and pass the time. EPISODE #88 is crammed full of distorted guitars, piercing synths, vocal histrionics, and meditations on lives both small and large. In this hour, you will hear classics from Lone Justice, The Soup Dragons, and Beverly, brand new jams from White Poppy, Maria Minerva, and The Lemon Twigs, plus a whole lot more. It jumps from country-rock to soul to garage pop to deep dance beats to progressive peacoat rock to trance-folk to throwback Britpop to real-deal Britpop. It's best experienced after spinning around for a few seconds and collapsing on the floor. Enjoy!Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE to Random Old Records via Apple Podcasts or RSS. Crowds started lining up early in the morning to be let into the park at 6am, hours before the official opening at 8am. Once 8am rolled around, guests could use the Disneyland app to join a boarding group. In just a couple of minutes, all the main boarding groups had been claimed, with the backup groups being filled just minutes after that. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2020/01/star-wars-rise-of-the-resistance-now-open-at-disneyland-park/ and https://www.micechat.com/248074-rise-of-the-resistance-now-open-is-the-force-strong-with-this-one/Of course with the opening of a new attraction, there is going to be a load of new merchandise, and Rise of the Resistance is no exception. From more traditional offerings like t-shirts and hats, to more unique like an attraction ride vehicle, there is something for everyone. The designs on the clothing are all pretty similar to the annual passholder exclusive design we talked about previously. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2020/01/16/disneyland-folks-check-out-the-rise-of-the-resistance-gear-heading-your-way/#more-306091 and https://www.micechat.com/248099-rise-of-the-resistance-inspired-food-and-merchandise-lands-in-galaxys-edge/Star Wars and spirit jerseys have collided at Disneyland. A new ice planet Hoth design has appeared in Star Traders in Tomorrowland, and at World of Disney in Downtown Disney. The jersey features HOTH on the back, with imperial walkers on the surface towards the bottom. The front has the Star Wars logo on the chest and the same walker design on the bottom. As with all spirit jerseys, this one is pricey at $69.99. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2020/01/17/new-star-wars-hoth-spirit-jersey-has-landed-in-disneyland/#more-307139The Millennium Falcon popcorn bucket was a great souvenir for the Resistance, but what about the First Order? Kylo Ren’s Tie Interceptor beverage holder is now available. For $18.49, you can get the beverage holder with your choice of drink, or for $1 more, you can get it with fries! The Tie Interceptor can be purchased at the Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2020/01/17/join-the-dark-side-we-have-drinks-and-fries-with-kylo-rens-new-tie-interceptor-mug-in-disneyland/#more-306700The new E-Ticket attraction isn’t the only thing to come to Batuu this week. There are three pins available at Little Green Men Store Command in Tomorrowland or Westward Ho Trading Company in Frontierland. To unlock the ability to purchase these limited edition pins, the Play Disney parks app must be loaded and Bluetooth and location services must be allowed for the app. Opening the app in Batuu will give you the “Black Spire Explorer” achievement, riding Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run will unlock the “Flight of the Falcon” achievement, and riding Rise of the Resistance will unlock the “Hero of the Resistance” achievement. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2020/01/show-off-your-star-wars-datapad-achievements-from-the-play-disney-parks-app-with-new-themed-commemorative-pins/If you have the lucky (or unlucky, depending on your nerdiness) experience of being involved with an unexpected show exit for Rise of the Resistance, don’t fear! Disney has a procedure for this. If you are unable to complete your mission for the Resistance, you will be allowed to re-enter the attraction when it is operational again, and you will be provided with a multi-experience fastpass that will give you a free FastPass for any attraction in the park. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2020/01/17/yikes-disneylands-rise-of-the-resistance-is-breaking-down-what-happens-when-the-resistances-mission-cant-be-completed/#more-306639Lunar New Year kicked off at Disney California Adventure on Friday. Mandarin Oranges are considered symbols of good fortune and prosperity for the Chinese New Year. Skip the wasted time waiting in line and order on the Disneyland app to get food hot and fresh without the wait. Another often overlooked trick is to order food for multiple booths at a single booth. This is great for guests without mobile ordering. Basically, just pick the shortest line, order all the festival food you want, then head to the booths to pick it up! – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2020/01/17/get-even-more-out-of-disney-california-adventures-lunar-new-year-celebration-with-mobile-order/#more-306924The Sip & Savor pass is back for the Lunar New Year. The top portion of the planters will feature spires which resemble those at the stage in Tomorrowland. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2019/11/a-great-big-beautiful-tomorrowland-entrance-coming-soon-to-disneyland-park/At long last, a show has returned to the Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland. The Dueling Pianos show, titled “The Showdown at the Golden Horseshoe,” premiered this week. The show combines musical theater, improv and storytelling along with music in classical, ragtime and country & western styles. Currently, the show is performed multiple times each day, check the Disneyland app or disneyland.com for specific times. – http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2019/11/22/we-finally-have-more-info-on-disneylands-new-dueling-pianos-show-at-golden-horseshoe/#more-290877Downtown Disney is sporting some brightly lit decorations for the holidays this year. The new decor includes more than 200 UV glow trees, lit up in shades of blue, green, yellow, orange, and pink. The trees range in size from as little as 4 feet, up to an impressive 15 feet. The trees have no decorations on them, but are accompanied by 70 glow rings that hang from the large trees in Downtown Disney. The display is titled “Let It Glow” – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2019/11/first-look-new-let-it-glow-trees-are-merry-and-neon-bright-in-downtown-disney-district-at-disneyland-resort/Tomorrowland doesn’t have much in terms of decorations for the holidays, but it does have the only dedicated holiday stage shows in the park. The new show will feature a dance party with the Tomorrowland Terrace stage decorated for Christmas. – https://www.micechat.com/243873-disneyland-news-update-the-future-of-tomorrow/With the hype the Mandalorian has brought to the Star Wars Universe, there is no lack of interest in any Mandalorian. A new Jango Fett stein is available at the Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland. The stein is the signature helmet of Jango, sporting the blue coloring. The stein is priced at $13.99 and includes coffee, hot tea, or beverage at the time of purchase. It can also be ordered through mobile ordering. – http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2019/11/18/new-jango-fett-stein-blasts-its-way-into-disneyland/Maybe Star Wars isn’t your beverage holder of choice, but something more “animated” is? There is a new Sven sipper mug that is available for $18.99 at Edelweiss Snacks in Disneyland. The most disturbing part of this sipper is that Sven’s head is removable to fill with a beverage, making him into a headless reindeer. – https://wdwnt.com/2019/11/photos-new-frozen-sven-souvenir-sipper-slides-into-disneyland/In a controversial move, the Anna and Elsa outfits have been updated to the ones worn at the end of the new movie in the parks. We won’t spoil anything here, but there is a plot point that could be given away if you see the new outfits before the movie. – https://www.micechat.com/243873-disneyland-news-update-the-future-of-tomorrow/Latino culture and traditions will be coming to Disney California Adventure for the holidays. Paradise Gardens will host colorful papel picado banners, piñatas and a number of festive accents. Panchito from Mexico, José Carioca from Brazil and Donald los esperan at the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! New droid themed Coke carts should be installed in Batuu this week. These new carts are very similar to what has already been rolled out in Florida’s version of the land. Now if only they could get some interactive droids walking around the area! – https://www.micechat.com/243873-disneyland-news-update-the-future-of-tomorrow/More Disney Vacation Club rooms will be coming to Disneyland, this time in a new tower at the Disneyland Hotel. Kennesaw State University Associate Professor Dinah McClintock took her art history class on a different kind of field trip. Instead of visiting a museum to study paintings and learn about famous artists who died more than 200 years ago, her students headed to Summerville, Ga., to help restore a famous folk artist’s art garden. This “adventure,” as students called it, would excite, inspire and change many, if not all, that participated. Their destination was Howard Finster’s Paradise Gardens. Howard Finster's evangelical, religious art has appeared in magazines, on record covers, and in museums, influencing artists around the world.
