Send me a Text Message! In this episode, Mike shares a recurring theme that's shown up across clients, conversations, and communities: “As soon as I get over the hump, I'll finally be able to breathe.” With raw insight and deep spiritual guidance, Mike unpacks why that belief keeps you stuck in cycles of chaos and why real peace doesn't come from solving problems — but from rewiring the nervous system and mastering your inner world. Are you ready to have more energy, thriving health, and lasting peace—but feel like you're constantly stuck in survival mode? In this episode, we talk about the hidden trade-off behind every decision: every “yes” you say is also an automatic “no” to something else. If you want to step into a season of better health and peace, you'll need to get intentional about what you allow in—and what you choose to cut out. This episode is especially for Christian women who are balancing family, health struggles, homeschooling, and busy schedules, and who want to align their choices with God's design for wellness. You'll walk away with practical examples, biblical encouragement, and motivation to say yes to the things that matter most—and no to the distractions holding you back. Episode Highlights 00:00 – The unseen trade-off of every “yes” 00:28 – Why better health requires time, money, or discipline 00:58 – Shopping sprees vs. gym memberships and high-quality food 01:24 – How Netflix binges quietly steal your rest and energy 01:51 – Why even good things may need seasons of rest 02:16 – Replacing negative influences with uplifting community 02:44 – Social media and text distractions vs. quality time with loved ones 03:12 – Building structure in homeschooling by letting go of other tasks 03:42 – Teaching kids independence to free up your energy 04:11 – Why saying yes to health means saying no to something else 04:40 – Choosing spiritual habits that create lasting peace Key Takeaways Every yes is also a no—your choices either fuel or drain your health. Distractions like social media, overspending, or too much TV quietly rob you of peace and energy. Even good commitments may need to be set aside for a season in order to rest and recharge. Productivity isn't just about time management—it's about attention management. Saying no helps you protect your God-given energy, peace, and priorities. Practical Tips to Protect Your Peace Focus on attention management rather than cramming more into your schedule. Replace multitasking with single-tasking for greater energy and focus. Build in mental fitness habits: sleep, prayer, healthy nutrition, uplifting books, and quality relationships. In 2022, an estimated 258 million people in 58 countries experienced crisis-level acute hunger, according to the World Food Programme (WFP), the global humanitarian organization addressing food security. Russia's recent decision no longer to allow Ukraine to export tons of grain means more people are likely to go hungry. In response to the rising concern, Bishop David J. The Queenship of Mary: Mary's Role in Our Salvation and Peace Today's Homily celebrates the octave of the Feast of the Assumption and . . . . . . the 50th anniversary of the Shrine, reflecting on Mary as Queen of Heaven, Earth, Peace, and All Hearts. Her queenship is not merely an honorific but a real authority rooted in her “yes” to God at the Annunciation, when she freely accepted to bear Christ, changing the universe forever. Her dignity, beauty, and authority exist not for herself but for our salvation, showing her humility as the “handmaid of the Lord.” Mary's queenship continues in her intercession, especially as Queen of Peace, and Queen of All Hearts, bringing grace to human hearts scarred by violence. The faithful are encouraged to entrust themselves to her through acts of consecration, imitating her faith and service so that Christ may be more fully received in their lives and in the world. At the end of the Homily members who have been preparing for the Act of Total Consecration were invited to the altar for a special prayer. Hear more within this Meditation Media. The vast majority of the world's countries are experiencing a demographic revolution: dramatic, sustained, and likely irreversible population aging. States' median ages are steadily increasing as the number of people ages 65 and older skyrockets. Analysts and policymakers frequently decry population aging's domestic costs, especially likely slowing economic growth and massive new public expenditures for elderly welfare. But aging has a major yet largely unrecognized international benefit: it significantly reduces the likelihood of international war. Although wars continue to rage in parts of the world, almost none involve aged countries. This book provides a comprehensive and groundbreaking argument why population aging will be a powerful force for peace. Aging will significantly reduce states' military capabilities available for war while also boosting leaders' and citizens' preferences for peaceful foreign policies. At the same time, the effects of aging will help prevent the emergence of a power transition between the United States and China, which would be a development that is particularly likely to devolve into armed hostilities. If an aged country does initiate war, the effects of aging will create major barriers to military success. The more aging reduces the probability of victory, the greater the disincentives to aggressing. Detailed case studies show how aging has affected the capabilities and preferences in Japan, China, the United States, and Russia. Guest: Mark L. Seven Ways to Know You're in the Will of God • Sunday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Seven Ways to Know You're in the Will of God (And How You Know When You're Not) Let me tell you something up front: The will of God is not a mystery! Religion paints this picture like God is hiding His will from you, and you've got to stumble around in the dark hoping you trip into it. No! God's will is clear, God's will is knowable, and God's will brings you into blessing and kingdom advancement. If you're not in the will of God, you're wasting time, spinning your wheels, and giving the devil a foothold in your life. But when you're in His will, you don't just survive—you multiply, you advance, and you shake the nations for Christ. 1. Peace in Your Spirit Scripture: “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.” — Colossians 3:15 (NKJV) 2. Confirmation by the Word of God Scripture: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105 (NKJV) 3. Fruitfulness and Multiplication Scripture: “You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?” — Matthew 7:16 (NKJV) 4. Open Doors by God's Hand Scripture: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.” — Revelation 3:8 (NKJV) 5. The Witness of the Holy Spirit Scripture: “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” — Romans 8:16 (NKJV) 6. Provision in the Assignment Scripture: “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19 (NKJV) 7. Advancing the Kingdom of God Scripture: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” — Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) How You Know You're NOT in the Will of God Let me hit this quickly and clearly. The Bible shows us markers of being outside His will: 1. Confusion and unrest. “For God is not the author of confusion but of peace.” — 1 Corinthians 14:33 (NKJV) 2. Compromise against Scripture. “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you… let him be accursed.” — Galatians 1:8 (NKJV) 3. Lack of fruit. “If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered.” — John 15:6 (NKJV) 4. Constant striving with no breakthrough. “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV) 5. Ignoring conviction. “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” — Ephesians 4:30 (NKJV) 6. Living in lack. “You have sown much, and bring in little… he who earns wages, earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” — Haggai 1:6 (NKJV) 7. Self-glory instead of God's glory. “I am the Lord, that is My name; and My glory I will not give to another.” — Isaiah 42:8 (NKJV) Conclusion Friend, the will of God is not something you have to stumble into—it's something you step into by faith and obedience. When you're in His will, peace rules your heart, doors open, fruit multiplies, provision flows, and the Kingdom advances. When you're out of it, confusion reigns, doors slam shut, provision dries up, and your life feels like pushing a boulder uphill. Make up your mind tonight: I will live in the center of God's will. I will not be distracted. I will not compromise. I will not settle. Because when you're in His will—you're unstoppable. CCLI: 21943673

BUY THE ALBUM HERE! Alright, this week we're drinking the blood from Oedipus's eyes with returning guest and friend of the show, the great Russell Sbriglia to talk about his new album Critique of Pure Desire which, according to Ryan Engley, sounds like if King Crimson were throwing an Eyes Wide Shut party. The album is a psychedelic mix of philosophy, psychoanalysis, literature, and film through Slavoj Žižek, Lacan, Hegel, Hitchcock, Melville, Antigone, Hamlet, Poe, Blade Runner, Chopin, La Jetée…and even features guest vocals from Žižek himself. We're talking the critique of pure desire, the strange logic of retroactivity, failed interpellations, hysterics, the split within the law, and future histories…Russ is Associate Professor of English at Seton Hall, co-editor with Slavoj of Subject Lessons, editor of Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Literature but Were Afraid to Ask Žižek, and the band Misconstruity.Big thanks to Russ — and if you're quick, the first two listeners to email zizekandsoon@gmail.com will get a copy of the album. And yes, Tim is still away…last I heard he reckoned that he's being followed by a chorus of old men who keep lamenting his decisions and spoiling the plot of his life…however I want to take this chance to say that Tim's first book has just been published with Palgrave: A Lacanian-Hegelian Perspective on Peace and Conflict Studies. It's now out in the world and you should all check it out. Congrats, Tim. Extra fish-head soup for you!GET TIM'S BOOK HERE!See you in Paris, Ž&…
Wayne Morrow, CEO of the John Birch Society, joins the discussion to examine whether the GOP is shifting into the role of America's antiwar party. Leading the non-partisan civics and education organization that champions the timeless principles of the Declaration of Independence, namely, that our rights come from God and not government, Morrow explores how Republicans are increasingly challenging endless foreign entanglements and questioning interventionist policies. The conversation highlights a potential political realignment, as the GOP weighs the balance between national defense, constitutional principles, and the growing demand from Americans to prioritize domestic concerns over foreign conflicts.
