Apryl and her siblings were invited to be apart of weekly gospel show in Dallas, Texas on Public Access TV in the early 80's. Apryl continued singing and won many talents shows and competitions shows. “I started going to junior college in FT. Worth, Texas, I would sing in the hallways, and that is when I ran into a rap group that heard me sing”. Apryl was asked to record a hook for their song that was later aired on K104 radio station in Dallas, Texas. That is when the doors opened for other opportunities with other artist for Apryl to showcase her raw talent. Apryl opened for artist like Mary J Blige and many others. Apryl just didn't just stop at singing, she wanted to learn the business side of the record industry. That is when Apryl interned for BMG and Jive records. Apryl had the opportunity to write a song for Usher it didn't make the album but created a love to continue writing and singing. Under new management Apryl completed an EP and was given the chance to open for more artist on a national level. Apryl eventually moved back to the East Coast continuing to work in the record industry for Harry Fox, Wave Records, Dreamworks and Rawkus Record. Apryl had left the music industry due to 9/11 to give more attention to her children. Despite leaving the industry it didn't change her love and passion to continuing singing and writing. Apryl became engaged in social work encouraging herself to walk out her own journey to healing. Apryl went back to school obtaining a BS in Criminal Justice and a master's in psychology. Music was always at the forefront for Apryl. Apryl music speaks about her story of trauma and navigating her pain but also shares her transition for victim to victor. “I just want my music to touch others with healing and love”.

And then there's Coup Anon lieutenant Josh Hawley, the erotophobic Senator from Missouri who recently boasted, “I'm not gonna cower, I'm not gonna run,” as footage went viral of Chickenhawk Hawley running away from the Capitol-crashing Coup Anon'ers—just after he'd fist-pumped them into a fighting frenzy. As Capitol Cop Michael Fanone put it, “Josh Hawley ran like a little bitch.” Though that's an unintended insult to girl-dogs, sissies and women who take no shit, it's an apt description of the cowardly fist-pumper from Missouri. In the early 70s the FCC mandated that all cable companies with a certain number of subscribers had to offer channels for public use and broadcast. This led to the generally wacky programming known as “Public Access Television.” Little did the FCC know, but in 1978 a small group of intellectuals in Austin, Tx would attempt to use Public Access TV to take down the establishment media by telling the stories they wouldn't tell. This was Alternative News Magazine, a counterculture version of 60 Minutes, and it broadcast over 500 episodes over a period of 20 years.

Manhattan Community Access Corp. v. Halleck was argued before the Supreme Court of the United States on February 25th, 2019. The opinion of the Court was released on June 17th, 2019 and can be found here. The Court ruled in favor of Manhattan Community Access Corp. in a 5-4 vote. Justice Kavanaugh wrote the opinion of the Court in which Justices Alito, Thomas, Roberts and Gorsuch joined. Born just over 36 hours apart, Justin & Patrick are life-long friends with a rich, deep relationship that spans beyond 40 years. They travel together, live life together through its ups and downs, and most importantly, will do anything for each other. Over the past 20+ years, a progressive neuromuscular disease has slowly taken away Justin’s ability to use his arms and legs. He said, “I’ll push you.” Two years later, they started their journey and had absolutely no idea how they would make the 500 miles from the southwest of France to the Cathedral in Santiago; over several mountain ranges like the Pyrenees, through rivers, and across the vast “desert of Spain" called the Meseta… they just knew they had to get there. Justin and Patrick had to rely on the help and strength of friends, acquaintances and even complete strangers in order to navigate the many challenges they faced on their 35-day journey. But that's about to change.Portland Community Media is renovating its building and rebranding itself as Open Signal, a media arts center where you can learn not only TV, but storytelling, podcasting, coding, mixed reality, and other forms of digital media. They're celebrating the transformation with an open house on Feb. 25.“The fact that the city has this asset, where anybody can come off the street, for practically free of charge, and learn how to tell a story,” says Justen Harn, “it is amazing.”Harn was part of the team that transformed the Hollywood Theatre from a dilapidated, second-run movie house into an innovative cinema and community hub. He we hired as the executive director at PCM a year ago with the instructions to create a more global vision for the organization, focused on programs, equity, and the future. With a budget of roughly $2.5 million drawn mostly from fees paid by cable service providers, PCM oversees five cables stations that serve an audience of 2.5 million.Harn gave us a tour, along with the director of strategy and development, Rebecca Burrell, who signed on to work with Harn from her post as the head of the Right Brain Initiative at the Regional Arts and Culture Council. Access Tucson, the public access TV station in Tucson, Arizona is in trouble. The government wants to cut its budget to the point that it would have to close its doors. I’ve had a TV show, Lovolution Village for several years at Access Tucson.  It is the only place in Tucson where I can talk about my vision on how to create world peace by building a network of solar-powered arcologies, ecological cities. Since I have been activated to promote these ideas, I have experienced oppression and suppression not only from the mainstream society, but within the alternative community who doesn’t understand the vision of, arcology, as a whole-systems approach to redesigning the way we live, work, eat and move.  Access Tucson allows me to work as an educator about the need for arcology to be seen as a way for a new green economy to emerge. Access Tucson’s programming allows many other voices and shows to be aired that have messages vital to the future of humanity. We must not allow Access Tucson to close its doors. Government of the people will not let corporate government to take our voices away. Please stand beside me in insisting Access Tucson reopens its doors.  We are involved with a people’s struggle to build a new world founded on global justice.  Access Tucson represents this global struggle on the local level.
