As Michael and SJ wrap up the series on Transformation, they delve into The Message version of the Bible to further explore the phases of transformation. Romans 8 is a great summary of this process; Jesus became like us, so we can become like Him. When we unpack Romans 8:30, we discover: Awaken - God calls us by name. Deepen - God sets us on a solid basis with Himself until we are established. Fulfill - God stays with us to the end, gloriously completing what He has begun. Forgiveness takes us thru the gate unlocked by Jesus. He then invites us to the road of Restoration where Transformation takes place. In this episode, hosts Alan Sanders and Walt Murray get a chance to sit down with Caroline Daley and Michael Caputo of Pod Clubhouse. Alan and Walt were featured on their show, Interview with a Podcast, which dropped in January of 2021. On that show, Caroline and Michael like to bring a spotlight on other podcasts. Alan and Walt had such a fun time being interviewed, they wanted to return the favor here in season 4 of The Wilder Ride. Caroline Daley and Michael Caputo of Pod Clubhouse each started in media separately, but found each other via a radio program. It did not take long for the two of them to realize they fed easily off each other and it led to the creation of a new podcast. The concept behind Pod Clubhouse was to bring other podcasts and voices together in the spirit of collaboration. As Michael says, they believe in the concept that a rising tide lifts all boats. As they embarked, their brand has become an umbrella for several different shows. While they still think of Interview with a Podcast as their primary show, they have added shows related to dozens of television and streaming shows, a movie themed show where they are looking at 52 weeks of Christmas movies, a show called, Decorating the Set and one called PCH Press Pass. There are several other members of the Pod Clubhouse team, all of which can be found on their website under the About Us page. As we wind down the interview portion of the show, Caroline and Michael encourage folks to proactively reach out to them if you would like to join forces on an episode. There is no guarantee, but life is easier for them if people feel comfortable reaching out to them. As the episode continues, Walt dives into his horrible movie review, which was selected by members in our Facebook Listeners Group. Alan and Walt then get into a few news items and then all of them wrap up the show with the entertainment segment. WATCHING Walt finished season 1 of Tin Star on Amazon Prime, giving it an enthusiastic review. He just started to watch Bosch season 7 and highly recommends the Eddie Murphy movie, Mr. Church, streaming on Netflix. Alan also finished season 1 of Tin Star and loved it. With his father-in-law still visiting, he went back to watch some older flicks. They included Iron Man, Kindergarten Cop, Galaxy Quest and Silverado. Alan also encourages the YouTube channel, Ashleigh Burton, who reacted this week to the films of Fried Green Tomatoes and the 1962 Cape Fear. Radio Labyrinth had a YouTube show out discussing Loki. Popcoun in Bed reacted to The Hobbit, The Desolation of Smaug, The Battle of the Five Armies and Schindler's List. Finally, on The Daily Doug, previous guest Doug Halvering reacted to Queensryche's, "Suite Sister Mary," which included a shoutout to our own podcast! Caroline watches, Sex LIfe and Penguin Town, both on Netflix. Michael recommends, Kevin Can F Himself, on AMC, Central Park on Apple TV and Domina on Epix. READING Walt and Alan both continue to work through the Star Trek unauthorized history, "The Fifty-Year Mission: The First 25 Years." Alan also read, "How to Love Your Child More Than You Hate Your Ex," by Dr. Larry Waldman for another show called, The Marriage Fit Podcast. Caroline is currently reading, "Last Summer at the Golden Hotel," by Elyssa Friedland. Michael is working his way through all three volumes of the comic book, Invincible. LISTENING Walt is listening to the podcasts, The Great Trials, Camp Hell: Anneewakee, FBI Retired Case File Review with Jeri Williams and Never Not Funny with Jimmy Pardo. He has also been listening to the album, Hummingbird, by last week's guests, the New Age group 2002. Alan has also been listening to, Hummingbird. The podcasts he has been listening to this week include Measuring the Score, 60MW Podcast, Radio Labyrinth, The Nostalgic Podblast and The Indiana Jones Minute. Caroline has been listening to the Beach Boys Christmas album. She recommends the podcast, The Deep Dive with Jessica and June. Michael is addicted to podcasts, with over 50 subscribed in his Spotify account! He listens to all of the Pod Clubhouse shows, of course. We've taken our time to record this episode. Lots of reasons, but the main one was: how on earth do we follow Sir Mark Prescott? Well, in Michael Holding we have just about the only man who could. ‘Mikey' came to visit us at Eve Lodge and what a gentleman… warmth and dignity in equal measures. And lots of insights. Find out how he came to call Newmarket his home from home; discover which top trainer he spends many of his summer mornings with. And also he reveals a fellow West Indian fast bowler ‘who would bounce his mother'! Racing and cricket chat - we've got it covered. As Michael was our guest, it was only fitting that Charlie recalled his net ‘session' with England pacer Matthew Hoggard. And, guess what. George has been to Wembley. He was only there to witness a little piece of history as England beat Germany 2-0. It's all in episode 3 of series 3… listen and enjoy.

This is the second of two episodes focusing on August Wilson’s play Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and its recent film adaptation on Netflix. Today’s interview is with actor Michael Potts who starred in the Netflix film as Slow Drag, the bass player in Ma Rainey’s blues band. When I watched Michael Potts as Slow Drag, I saw something recognizable: the way his character can convey so much with a glance or a knowing look. It is the tendency to observe rather than jump into action. To see a situation from an intellectual distance. I went back to re-watch three roles from his TV work, all HBO series: True Detective, Show Me a Hero, and The Wire in which he played the notable character Brother Mouzone. The art of observation is apparent in each of these characters. As Michael says in the interview: “It’s part of my natural inclinations as a person, as Michael, to observe everything. I’m very aware of where I am in situations. I’m always checking the temperature of the room, which the actor training simply reinforced.” See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Men, Porn, and the Controversy Surrounding "Sex Addiction" This is the title of Chapter 51 in Michael Castleman's newest book Sizzling Sex for Life: Everything You Need to Know to Maximize Erotic Pleasure at Any Age. This is a comprehensive and easily accessible encyclopedia of sex, and it includes a whole lot you won't find anywhere else. Why focus on Chapter 51? After the spa killings last week in Atlanta, investigators are still trying to unravel the motivation. Michael Castleman and Diana Wiley both believe it was not anti-Asian racism per se, but rather it's likely that the shooter's sex negative, religious fundamentalist upbringing is at the root of his actions. He himself blamed it on his "sexual addiction."   Throughout history, sex has come in three varieties: reproductive, relationship-affirming (relational), and recreational. Alfred Kinsey's scientific studies in the late 1940s discovered that most Americans engaged in recreational sex. Many religious fundamentalists claim that sex for fun is sinful, and if a man used pornography to masturbate, it means he is a sex addict. As Michael points out, it is a vicious cycle: shame creates stress, which leads to masturbation and porn, which leads to more shame, and so on. Dr Bradley Onishi grew up in a strict evangelical community and now he teaches religious studies at Skidmore College. The evangelical culture he was raised in teaches women to hate their bodies, as the source of temptation, and it teaches men to hate their minds, which leads them into lust and sexual immorality.   But sex-positive Christianity does exist. Rev. Beverly Dale co-authored Advancing Sexual Health for the Christian Client: Data and Dogma, which deconstructs potentially harmful Christian beliefs around sexuality to support clients stuck in sexual guilt, shame and fear. Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) can help a person reframe their sexual catastrophizing, which may include ideas such as “sexual thoughts and fantasies are sinful,” “only bad people masturbate,” and “porn is evil.”   Castleman is also a medical journalist, answering more than 12,000 sex questions throughout his career, both on his Great Sex Guidance website and on his "All About Sex" blog on Psychology Today, where he reviewed Dr. Diana's book Love in the Time of Corona: Advice From a Sex Therapist for Couples in Quarantine. He also used to answer all the sex questions for "Playboy Advisor" column in the 1990s. No wonder he was able to write the most thorough sexuality guide ever produced! Dustin Plantholt’s “Life’s Tough—YOU can be TOUGHER!” podcast this week features Michael Dowling, President & CEO of Northwell Health (the largest healthcare provider and private employer in New York State), chair of the Healthcare Institute, and current member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies of Sciences. Born and raised in Knockaderry, County Limerick, in Ireland’s southwestern region, Michael’s family lived on a small piece of property in an impoverished area. His home had mud walls, a thatch roof, three small rooms, and a mud floor. There was no electricity, no running water, no bathrooms, and no heat, only a big open fireplace where his mother did all the cooking. Michael was the oldest of five children and had to help support his family from an early age, but this only inspired him to push further in pursuit of his dreams. “No” was never an option for Michael as he realized early on, that with dogged resolve, one stands a good chance of achieving their goals and dreams. Ireland in the 50’s and 60’s was a two-class system, and nobody ever thought that people without money would ever go to college. Even though Michael’s mother was deaf, she was an avid reader and passed that “love of reading” onto Michael. As a child, Michael remembers reading everything he could get his hands. In the end Michael did well enough in high school to make the cut and get accepted into college. “Never let your circumstances interfere with your potential,” his mother would say, always encouraging her children. Michael became the first person in his family to attend college, graduating UCC (University College, Cork) while working odd jobs to pay his tuition. He went on to receive his masters from Fordham University, while also holding honorary doctorates from Queen's University Belfast, University College Dublin, Hofstra University, Dowling College and Fordham University. He began his career at Fordham University as a professor and the assistant dean at the Graduate School of Social Services. He went on to serve under Governor Mario Cuomo for seven years, as state director of Health, Education and Human Services, as well as Deputy Secretary. He also served as commissioner of the New York State Department of Social Services. Before joining Northwell Health in 1995, Michael was a senior vice president at Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield. At Northwell Health he was the health system’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, before becoming president and CEO in 2002. Northwell Health is the largest healthcare provider in New York State, caring for more than two million people annually through a vast network of more than 830 outpatient facilities, including 220 primary care practices, 52 urgent care centers, home care, rehabilitation and end-of-life programs, and 23 hospitals. As president and CEO of Northwell Health, Michael leads a clinical, academic and research enterprise with a workforce of more than 75,000 and annual revenue of $14 billion. “Innovation needs to be a core competency for any organization and part of its ongoing DNA.” says Michael. “It’s about people not being slaves to tradition, challenging the status quo and pursuing new, creative ways of doing our jobs and delivering care.” As one of health care’s most influential voices, Michael tackles societal issues such as gun violence and immigration that many health system CEOs shy away from. He has also authored several books; his latest—Leading Through a Pandemic: The Inside Story of Humanity, Innovation, and Lessons Learned During the COVID-19 Crisis—highlights the passion and energy that drives Northwell to be on the leading edge of medical policy and innovation, documenting dramatic stories of what it was like on the front lines, battling the COVID 19 pandemic of early 2020. Today, Michael and his wife Kathy live on Long Island with their two children, Brian and Elizabeth. Join Dustin and Michael for a stimulating conversation and hear how Michael overcame adversity and achieved his dreams. As Michael says, “If you tell me I can’t do something, that’s when I become determined to get it done.”

As usual, there were road works in the town and Michael was sat at the temporary traffic lights waiting for his turn.Suddenly and without any warning there was a huge thump at the back of the lorry. Michael got out and there embedded under the back of his vehicle is a red Morris 1100 family saloon car.The windscreen of the car was shattered where it has hit the back of the lorry body and the bonnet was wedge well under the main chassis frame. As Michael approached to see if he could help, the driver’s door opened and a man fell into the road. He gradually managed to get to his feet and as he spoke Michael got a blast of whisky-laden air into his face! This is about 2pm. in the afternoon.Michael had to find a telephone box quickly to give us a call. Incredulous it may seem but not when Michael is involved. (This also well before the birth of mobile telephones).“Will you phone the Testing station and tell them I’ve been held up!” was the first thing he said. (Testing stations even today are very particular about your test appointments. If you are late or miss them you get black marks at the very least. It does not do to upset the testing station. Welcome to Ujana (pron. Oyana) : A Teenager's & Young Adults Journey to Self Love

I had the pleasure interviewing Michael Earle who is an award winning Well-being Consultant, Speaker, Trainer & Mental Health Complex Needs Practitioner. Michael helps people to discover that by using simple practices they can enhance and improve their well-being at work and in their personal lives. He is a great advocate of self-care, and inspires people to prioritise themselves by ‘Always taking their lunch break'. Born in Cardiff, Michael was brought up in a tight family household. His parents were the shining example of what he could aspire to. With strong work ethnics, discipline and education at their core, these core values became the anchor to how Michael pursued his life. Being the youngest of 6, Michael experienced the usual sibling dynamics, like not being heard or taken seriously. As the only black family at school, he was bullied which some times escalated to fights. As Michael said "he got through it and was not mentally scathed". This was mainly down to the fact that his parents didn't tolerate such negative behaviour to enter or affect the household. From a young age, Michael had the natural ability to look at things objectively and was always called upon to deal with uncomfortable situations. This attribute held him in good stead as he grew up and he became naturally attracted to positions which involved helping people. Michael has a wealth of experience in the social care and well being sector and he brings this to the table. We discuss: bullying, mental health issues, exploration, tapping into your natural abilities, people's opinions and well-being. And much more. Tune in now! Michael’s book, The First 90 Days, looks at how leaders can make the most out of their first three months of a transition as well as some common traps that leaders fall into during that critical time. The breakeven point Michael uses a financial analogy to explain why mastering transitions is so important. A financial break even point looks at how long it takes an investment to get to a point where it pays for itself. With leaders the break even point is looking at the point where you as a leader are creating value for the company. The longer it takes you to get up to speed in a new role the longer it’s going to be before you stop consuming value and start producing value. As a leader you need to figure out how you can get to the point of true value creation as fast as you can, but in a smart way. In a study that was conducted by Michael and his team a few years ago they found that unaided the process for leaders to reach the breakeven point can take up to six months. So if that timeframe can be reduced it not only helps the organization it also helps set the leader up for success very early on. And of course, the time it takes to start creating value also depends on the type of transition you are going through. Staying in the same company but moving to a different role may take less time than moving to a different company and starting in a role that didn’t exist before. Common traps leaders fall into during transitions There are several traps people can fall into when they are going through transitions in life and at work. It is important for leaders to be aware of these traps so they can be careful to avoid them.  One of the biggest traps Michael points out is when leaders stay in their comfort zone and continue to define their role through the lens of what they are good at. Michael says, “When I coach people one of the questions I ask them fairly early on is what are you really good at and love doing that you need to do less of here? And what are you perhaps not so good at or not enjoying doing that you need to do more of? So as you enter a new role, you need to think about what do I need to let go of and what do I need to embrace? And that kind of helps get you through the comfort zone trap.” When you are making a transition, don’t just assume that what has worked in the past will work in your current situation. This is especially important if you are not only transitioning in a role, but also in a different organization. A lot of times the job description that’s given to you in the interview may not give you the full scope of what needs to be done, so it is important to check and recheck what you’re really there to do. Go one level deeper than the job description to find out why you are there. Figure out how you can add unique value to the organization and then use that as your North star. Another trap leaders can fall into during a transition is not reaching out to peers and stakeholders early enough. A lot of emphasis is put on leaders to connect with their team and their boss, but most leaders neglect to connect with their peers and stakeholders and that can be harmful later on. Michael says you shouldn’t wait until you have a problem and need their help before you reach out to them. A third trap to watch out for is what Michael calls the action imperative. When you are put into a new role most likely you are going to feel pressure to do something or make a decision right away. Most of the time that pressure is coming from within yourself, and not something that people expect. Of course there are exceptions, but in general try to fight this feeling. As Michael shares, “It's that sense, maybe it comes a little out of the imposter syndrome kind of idea, or that sense of I need to prove myself, show that they made the right decision in hiring or promoting you. And you can have that pressure, and that can lead you to do things that you're perhaps not fully ready to do or that are not as informed enough or not socialized enough. And that can create a vicious cycle if you're not if you're not careful.” When you start to feel pressure to do something right away, ask yourself where is this pressure coming from? Is it coming from within yourself or is there a legitimate reason for you to act on something immediately. The lack of leadership training inside organizations One thing I found while writing my latest book, The Future Leader, is that most people spend 10-15 years in leadership positions before getting any formal leadership training from their organization. There are quite a few people who are promoted to leadership roles in their 20s and 30s but on average people are in their late 30s or early 40s before going through training. So how are you as a leader supposed to get up to speed and have a successful transition into a position of leadership if you have never had any formal training? Michael says it means it leaves responsibility for leadership development on the individual. This can seem daunting, but the good news is there are so many resources out there these days you can turn to. There are online courses, books, videos, etc… on leadership and the skills related to being a great leader. So if your organization is not providing you with the skills you need, there really isn’t an excuse. And while leaving training up to the individual isn’t the best way of operating for an organization, it is happening more often now because of the unraveling of the social contract between organizations and individuals. It is no longer common for a person to stay at one company for their entire career. Gone are the days where the company provides a safety net for employees, and so employees no longer feel loyalty to the company. Leaders have to be proactive and intentional in onboarding and integrating themselves into a new role. As Michael says, “If you don't own your transition, your transition will own you.” How to have a successful transition For leaders going through a transition process Michael says it is important to understand the challenges up front and be clear about how you are going to create value in what you are there to do. Be sure to plan your learning process, engage with peers and stakeholders early on, and be really thoughtful about how you are going to arrive in the new organization and the messaging you want to send. Michael says, “a lot of what you do early on, is about signaling and symbolism. So be really thoughtful about that because those early actions can send very powerful messages whether you intend them to or not.” This episode of Future of Work is supported by Teamistry, a podcast that tells the stories of teams who work together in new and unexpected ways… to beat the odds. The whole nation was now going to see that these criminals have been putting their people and presidents in office.  The anger against the Deep State will be everywhere, exactly what must happen to overthrow them. In 2016 there was just such a scam going on but the guilty ones were mostly overlooked by this administration; why?  They wanted them to be at ease to do it again.  Plus when it goes to the Supreme Court they will overthrow the Lefts plan.  And in this trial it will not be able to be hidden by the criminal Main Stream Media.     When I got up I told all this to Michael Hare. And now the watermark revelation above has come out and it is awesome!   Celebration may be too early. The Deep State is desperate to save their own skin.  Expect, plagues, earthquakes, hurricanes, Antifa, Black Lives Matter, Anarchist, Radical Islam, etc. attacks against the nation.  The Communist Chinese and Soros or son, etc. are bankrolling these and the Main Stream Media. These and all of the politicians who took bribes and sacrificed babies to their Lord Satan will be discovered in both parties.  This faction against the US and the Church will be well known. A portion of the our broadcast on the following day; the 4th. Sign of the Fallen Tree David Eells 11/4/20 A few days ago I went up on the top of the mountain where I live and I noticed a large oak tree that was severely rotted at the base of the trunk up to about 10 feet.  It had been struck by lightening years ago before I moved here. I decided it needed to come down for it was a threat to my house just below. (Then the Lord started showing me a parable about this tree that amazed me.  God takes credit for the lightening all through scripture. Job 36: 32  He covereth his hands with the lightning, And giveth it a charge that it strike the mark.  33  The noise thereof telleth concerning him, The cattle also concerning the storm that cometh up. So Father had struck this tree and it has been dying ever since.) As Michael, Brandy, Greg, and I, looked at the tree to see how to take it down safely we saw it looked very dangerous since there was only a small portion of the trunk that was still alive and it was all on one side. The rest was rotten.  The whole heart of the tree was dead.  When we cut it we weren't sure which way it would twist and fall. (The Lord showed me that this tree was the faction whose heart was dead towards him and it was a threat towards David’s house and had to come down.) The piece of the tree at the trunk which was still alive was only about 2 inches thick and had bark on it and was strong enough to hold this large tree up.  Cutting through this with a chain saw was extremely dangerous even with a rope on it.  There was no way to know what the bottom of the tree would do. So we made a notch in the rotten part but not all the way to the good part.  We had a 100 foot 1 inch nylon rope on it and hooked it to the tractor farther up the hill and were bumping it but the tractor tires were slipping in the leaves so I removed the leaves with the front end loader but the tires still slipped in the loose earth. So we put a one ton come-along on the rope which we tied to another solid large oak and stretched it bow string tight.  So we thought on whether we should cut a little more and Michael felt the Lord was saying we should not cut any more of the tree so we just stopped for the day and prayed and left it in the Lords hands. During the night I felt the Lord was showing me a safe way to cut the tree by getting a larger come along on the rope and cutting part way through the middle of the good part of the tree and putting a wedge in the crack to tip the tree away from the house. Also I thought that the bottom of the tree could skip off the trunk and head for the house below so I felt to cut the good part above the level of the notch to hold the trunk from going that way.  So I told Michael the next morning what I believed the Lord wanted us to do.  He asked the Lord who told him to “Do what David says”. This was now the day before the election where the faction in government was facing off with Cyrus and we are faced off with the faction against our Church. So we put the plan in action and did all of the above with a 4 ton come-along bow string tight we made our cut and inserted the wedge and drove it in very tight. Michael made the notch in the dead part of the tree a little bit bigger sloping the bottom cut away from the house with the saw and we drove the wedge tighter until we heard cracking noises. Then we all went away from the tree to the come-along and kept tightening until it continued to crack and fell. Well, you may say the war was over but not quite and it is not quite over at this time of writing on the morning of the  Nov. 4th political and moral scene.  Trump is right, he won and with a landslide but the left is cheating and it has been reported all over the net but the tech companies take it down as fast as it is put up. So the big oak fell but the top of it lodged in the fork of another oak so it was half way down and still dangerous. The high part of the good part of the stump was holding it so it didn't skip towards the house, and the rope held it securely so it couldnt go towards the house. All the safety features worked just perfectly but the tree was held fast in the fork.  I thought that this was a sign that this tree was not to fall until the next day, which was voting day and so it did. So the next day we adjusted the rope to hold the tree fast in this position as Michael cut the lower fork which was dead and almost off. He was protected by another tree that kept the dead side of the fork from coming towards him. Then we come-alonged the bottom of the tree off the stump and it dug into the ground as we expected. Then we come-alonged the fallen trunk up in the air by about 3 feet.  Then rocked the trunk back and forth a few times until the tree came out of the fork and fell to the ground breaking the dead fork off as it fell.  And this was on voting day.  I believe this all is sign of a war to bring down the faction and the Red Sea begins now. Let me explain a little more about the tree. This heart dead tree went up to a fork. The limb that leaned towards the house of David was green with leaves.  I believe that this portion of the faction will be saved.  The other fork which balanced the tree away from the house was completely dead.  In other words there are elect people of God on the green side who will turn back to the house of David as our dreams have shown. And the forever dead side are sons of perdition who like Judas have killed themselves by their sins.   Now we are after the election and all appears to be up in the air even though we know President Trump won. I believe the war that is coming will bring down the faction in the church by the hand of the faction in the government and President Trump and team will then bring them down with the help of the anointed Man-child reformers.   I believe the Lord has shown us that the DS has been blackmailing P. Trump with threats against the lives of the American people to stop the new economic system which cuts them out. JFK tried to bring in the new system and was killed as were hundreds of people who had information.  Another was 9-11 when it again was attempted but many lost their lives.  President Trump wanted to bring this in without the loss of lives.  DS had teams ready to bring down the grid, which failed when the teams were arrested just before they could accomplish their evil.  Another was to use DEW weapons to cause earthquakes which they did, to threaten larger ones which we have dreams of. Another was to loose the new plague our dreams say was tested by them and is ready. Another is to bring Hurricanes, some of which they have.  I believe in the war ahead we will see these things and more. Claim Psa 91 and Passover ! Brandy:  At the election, I tried to put together some links or stories on voter fraud evidence for David to use but there was an active suppression of news regarding this. Twitter has shut down accounts or added a disclaimer to every tweet suggestion of fraud.  I looked for videos showing voter intimidation or suppression. They appear briefly on Twitter but were taken down and they didn't even appear on Youtube. I went ten pages down on Duck Duck Go and still could not find anything other than anti-Trump stories.  David:  Twitter had dozens of complaints of voter fraud that were witnessed and sounded reasonable. Start thanking God who is the real hero in all of this.  He had mercy that we dont deserve. POTUS bypasses the Mainstream Media Criminals Brethren, We heard they would do this at least a couple of years ago.  The Generals said then that when the rebellion came everyone should have food and water enough to stay inside and out of the way.  Remember God still multiplies these things.  Martial Law is a good way to show who are the good people inside and who are the bad people outside.  I cant verify the day mentioned when this will come but it is the plan to bypass the crooked, blackmailed on Epstein Island, communist paid, media. God be with you.  Remember your Psa 91 and Passover Lamb.     As you know this is all a great threat to the DS actors. Their lives depend on their being able to distract you from all of this. Their leadership and banksters are Satanists who have a spirit of murder they received by murdering children in their sacrifices to Satan for power.  It isnt working now because God’s people are praying and believing and it only takes one angel to bind Satan and cast him in the pit in Revelation. They have murdered multitudes in war they started, so killing a few million American deplorables whom they hate anyway is not a problem to them.   The real battle is about to begin. We were told by many Words from the Lord that like the history of Babylon (our DS) would make war against the apostate people of God by sword, pestilence, famine and fire. And only after this did the Medo-Persians (Cyrus Trump) conquer Babylon. Ecc 1:9-10  That which hath been is that which shall be; and that which hath been done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.  10  Is there a thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been long ago, in the ages which were before us. Jer 34:17 Therefore thus saith Jehovah: ye have not hearkened unto me, to proclaim liberty, every man to his brother, and every man to his neighbor: behold, I proclaim unto you a liberty, saith Jehovah, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be tossed to and fro among all the kingdoms of the earth. Ezekiel 7: 14 They have blown the trumpet, and have made all ready; but none goeth to the battle; for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof. 15 The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword: and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.  Jeremiah 24: 1 Jehovah showed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs set before the temple of Jehovah, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the craftsmen and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon. 2 One basket had very good figs, like the figs that are first-ripe; and the other basket had very bad figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad. ... 8 And as the bad figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so bad, surely thus saith Jehovah, So will I give up Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt: (David: The apostate leadership of God's people who go to Egypt trusting in the arm of flesh that they can save them from Babylon, will be judged. We are so glad that men, like Cyrus did, are conquering the DS but our trust must be in God not men. Then He can use men in our behalf.) 9 I will even give them up to be tossed to and fro among all the kingdoms of the earth for evil; to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them. 10 And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence , among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers.   DS Conquers Faithless Apostates  Garrett Crawford 11/6/20 (David’s notes in red) I asked the Lord for a word concerning this election. I opened my bible and placed my finger down and received this. I find it interesting tomorrow is the 7th day of the month (exactly when this verse takes place.) Egypt represents those that people have falsely put hope in to save them from Babylon.  (God told His people to trust Him concerning Babylons (DS) attack but they put their trust in the arm of the flesh. The Egyptians represented their old man in whom they had been in bondage to and were told never to go back there, meaning under the authority of the old man. This is the definition of apostasy; a falling away. God’s people who put their trust in man to save them will be judged. Heb 10:38  But my righteous one shall live by faith: And if he shrink back, my soul hath no pleasure in him. Babylon (DS) conquered Egypt and the apostates who fled there.) Eze 30:20 In the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me: 21 “Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and behold, it has not been bound up, to heal it by binding it with a bandage, so that it may become strong to wield the sword. 22 Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt and will break his arms, both the strong arm and the one that was broken, and I will make the sword fall from his hand. 23 I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them through the countries. 24 And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him like a man mortally wounded. 25 I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon but the arms of Pharaoh shall fall. Then they shall know that I am the Lord, when I put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon and he stretches it out against the land of Egypt. 26 And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them throughout the countries. Then they will know that I am the Lord.” We have seen the C-19 pestilence which has degenerated because it is man-made from the “L” strain which was deadly, to the “S" strain which is like the flu. The DS is still using this fear mongering to ruin the economy. Massive law suits are coming against them for this so now they have to prove Gates and Fauchi right in their DS forecast that its going to be terrible this winter if we don't lock it all down.  blackchristiannews.com/2020/10/fauci-warns-the-us-could-see-300-400k-coronavirus-plague-deaths-and-says-the-white-house-outbreak-could-have-been-prevented/  https://plague.info/2020-11-03-fauci-ties-to-globalists-ccp-threaten-america.html Now they have to prove C-19 is dangerous because they are being sued for the destruction of lives and economy - https://pandemic.news/2020-10-27-lawsuits-political-tyrants-who-used-coronavirus-steal-freedom.html.  It was like South Dakota who didn't do the mask and distancing lockdown thing and weren't having any trouble with C-19.  When this became public immediately it started spreading there. Watch out for C-20,21. (Jer.27:8) And it shall come to pass, that the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, (Speaking of those who were in bondage to Babylon and its religions) and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith Jehovah, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand. (Notice the play on words: Because the Christian right wing does not submit to DS Babylon they will use pestilence to try to wipe out what in effect will be apostate Christianity.) For almost 4 years we have been warning of a plague that will be serious and now we say it will be far worse then C-19.) (Frances in NM sent this from:) Greg Coleson - 11/6/20-  There has been a lot of mercy upon evil in this country, and the world, and this doomsday virus will be God's judgment to every individual that it kills where his mercy has ran out. A good example is 1 Corinthians 5:1-5  It is actually reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not even among the Gentiles, that one of you hath his father's wife.  2  And ye are puffed up, and did not rather mourn, that he that had done this deed might be taken away from among you.  3  For I verily, being absent in body but present in spirit, have already as though I were present judged him that hath so wrought this thing,  4  in the name of our Lord Jesus, ye being gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus,  5  to deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. There will be a few evil hearted people remaining that God's True People will have to fight against but not as many as there are now. But know, this is the time where God's mercy runs out like it never has before.  I'm one of the first to give this warning and many will come late in getting the message but a True Time of Judgment is here. God's Vengeance has come upon this world and all we need to do is hide and watch and pray. Bill Steenland - 7/6/20: In this dream the Lord allowed me to follow these satanists into a very rich high rise private apartment condo in NY. I knew that they had infiltrated the CDC and WHO and were executing a plan for their satanic New World Order. The dream changed and I was still in the same condo at a small medical facility where people were dropping like flies from some unknown pathogen or contagion. There were three women and two men who were so sick they were unable to function. I tried to grabbed the one woman closest to me while she was falling. In the dream I knew the elite were experimenting with the next Plandemic. I said ma’am ma’am what’s wrong get up ? Again and again, but she was dead.  I went over to the nurse who was in a back room. I could tell she knew something and was divided about it. She was very sad and on her knees. I knew it was partially because she was totally helpless to assist or medicate the sick that were there. I picked her up off the ground and somewhat screamed at her ”what is happening to these people?” She told me “Don’t ask me that question” as she cried in fear and sadness. I yelled again for her to tell me everything you know,  "what’s happening to these people?!”  She again told me not to ask that question. She knew they were victims of a trial run for the next pandemic. In the dream I just knew it. That’s is the info that kept coming to me in the dream, next plandemic and trial run experiment.  Bill Steenland - 11/1/20 - A very short dream I had a few nights ago makes more sense as we see what New Zealand’s new response is for corona virus. New Zealand who gets a lot of traffic from Britain may be used as the standard for the next pandemic response. Quarantine camp! Refusal for tests is an automatic 14 day stay in the Q camps. In the dream there was a new virus coming out of Britain. There was a medic who was inspecting a virus, something he’s never seen before. He was completely bewildered and dumbfounded by what it was. He stood there in what looked like a bomb suit completely beside himself.  https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/trump-should-prepare-for-possible-imminent-release-of-more-dangerous-covid-20-or-21 See Link for Full Details (Frances in NM sent this:)   Trump should prepare for possible imminent release of more dangerous COVID-20 or 21  November 2, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – By Steve Jalsevac - a portion... Following are some of the increasing indications that a new, much more dangerous version of coronavirus might imminently be released into the world.  There were comments by Bill Gates on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert on April 23 and at a June 23 U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation event that seem alarming. Check out the brief video of these yourself.  The comments are all the more concerning because the COVID-19 or Wuhan virus has clearly faded in potency and the overall death rate has proven to be far lower than we were led to believe and has been found to be no worse than that of the flu.  There are now news reports of what is called a new “Spanish strain” or “mutation” of COVID-19 that is rapidly spreading across Europe. It seems to be significantly different than the original COVID-19 that the world has been coping with. That raises the question of whether it is a genuine mutation of the current virus or the new coronavirus that some having been indicating would appear. Breitbart yesterday reported the disturbing comments below by Dr. Anthony Fauci, whom we now know is a confirmed radical globalist likely closer to Biden than we realize, and whose “fraudulent” pandemic advice to President Trump and state governors and their health agencies “put millions of Americans through Hell.”  Dr. Anthony Fauci, the leading infectious disease expert in the U.S. government, provided a grim prediction this week regarding the Chinese virus situation in America, saying the country is “in for a whole lot of hurt” this winter due to rising cases and deaths. Fauci, a prominent member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force and director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), told the Post on Friday: We’re in for a whole lot of hurt. It’s not a good situation. All the stars are aligned in the wrong place as you go into the fall and winter season, with people congregating at home indoors. You could not possibly be positioned more poorly. Fauci reportedly urged the U.S. to make an “abrupt change” in public health practices and behaviors. “He said the country could surpass 100,000 new coronavirus cases a day and predicted rising deaths in the coming weeks,” the Post noted. What does Fauci know that no one else appears to know, including numerous top scientists who are certain we have long passed the normal and predictable most dangerous period of a covid virus pandemic? Also, in May of this year, I was directly told in a telephone conversation with an HCQ expert and physician specialist that he was certain that a more deadly version of coronavirus would be released into the world during the Fall of this year. I would normally not pay much attention to such a prediction that sounds a lot like fake news. But, he was personally introduced to me by the renowned Irish scientist Professor Dolores Cahill, who told me she frequently contacts the high-level physician specialist and recommended him to me.  I have no idea how credible his warning is, but I trust Professor Cahill’s high praise for him. Another related item is what Dr. Peter Breggin wrote in a recent article,  “In his second debate with President Trump, Biden warned “We’re about to go into a dark winter.”Biden and Fauci to Communist China, which we now know allowed the current virus to spread throughout the world, and Fauci’s role in facilitating the development of a similar virus in the Wuhan lab, does cause one to consider that there may be something to Biden’s warning. So, Dr. Breggins’ articles, and the disturbing statements by Bill Gates, who is deeply involved with globalist Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Davos Summit elites and their Great Reset plans, all lead me to consider that we should at least be really well prepared for the appearance of a new, Covid-20 or 21 virus, or the possibility of a more virulent mutation of COVID-19.  How to prepare for another Covid pandemic Since we are now are much more certain that Hydroxychloroquine with Zinc, and an antibiotic when called for, is by far the most accessible, inexpensive, safe, and very effective medication for any version of COVID, even a predicted COVID-20 or 21, then it is somewhat straightforward how to be prepared for such a new coronavirus pandemic.  (See the rest on the link)   Babylon Attacks by Fire too: Jeremiah 32: 24 Behold, the mounds, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence; and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest it. 25 And thou hast said unto me, O Lord Jehovah, Buy thee the field for money, and call witnesses; whereas the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans. 26 Then came the word of Jehovah unto Jeremiah, saying, 27 Behold, I am Jehovah, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me? 28 Therefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it: 29 and the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set this city on fire, and burn it, with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal. (David: This symbolizes praying to the False Jesus in the churches. Christian patriots are being invaded by unitarianism and new age. Concerning burning their houses of worship, the DS military has and still can burn individual houses and churches at will from the sky with Directed Energy Weapons as they have shown recently. I have suspected for a while that we will see another rash of Church burnings and no one on the ground will be seen or caught doing this.  Grain silos have been burned like this along with weather warfare to create famine as in this text. DEW weapons have been seen starting earthquakes too.   Trump Victory Then Revival  Bill Steenland – March 7, 2019 I had a dream where it was told to me in no uncertain terms that Trump was going to get the victory and then a revival was going to come.  As it was being told to me I saw a celebration of victory in very beautiful rolling hills in Tennessee. The words told me Trump is going to get the victory then we’re going to have a revival. It was said so much like a matter of fact it was as if it already happened. By the way Tennessee comes from the word Tanasi which means “the Spirit”. But ours has a capital S. I worked at Tanasi village on many different jobs there and saw it almost every day. It’s funny because I looked up the word Tennessee years ago. (David: The Trump Victory here would be the declassification, arrests, and defeat of the Northern Army after their attacks on the apostate people of God.  History must repeat as God says.)

Happy Halloween! Movie guru Michael Scott returns to the podcast to talk about his love for the Friday the 13th films. How did a low-budget 1980 horror movie spawn a franchise and draw in millions of fans? Is it all about the hockey mask? As it turns out, Michael's first foray into the series was Friday the 13th, Part VI: Jason Lives, which led him to devour the rest of the "Jason Movies." Michael has also read a few books on our friend Mr. Vorhees, including Crystal Lake Memories, written by author Peter M. Bracke. As Michael notes, Jason not only inspired numerous splatter flicks, the Friday the 13th films influenced non-horror movies, too, such as the Terminator and Rambo series. And yet, it's been more than ten years since the last Jason movie. Has Hollywood given up, or does Tinseltown just need a few good ideas? Have no fear, Colin and Michael have some thoughts. And it turns out Danny McBride may be the man to revive the series. You can check out Michael at the popular Dana Buckler Show movie podcast: https://linktr.ee/DanaBucklerShow. Based on his nine-day trip, Michael talks about why he had a superb time in Vegas but that some peculiarities might take getting used to. Not being allowed to high-five the players at craps is just one of them. A more significant challenge for Michael was the lack of housekeeping at Caesars which was part of the reason that he moved over to Wynn Las Vegas later in his stay. As Michael details his trip, the focus of the conversation shifts to a comparison between Caesars Palace Las Vegas and Wynn Las Vegas and their vastly different approaches to their service and health policies. While Michael didn’t enjoy Caesars’ limited offerings, he shares how impressed he was with Wynn Las Vegas. This is a huge milestone for Do a Day – the 100th episode! Rather than doing a retrospective or solo episode, I wanted to bring in people from past episodes who have continued to be part of my life and continued to have an impact on how I think about things on a daily basis.   With that intention, I am SO honored to get to bring my friends Cornell Thomas and Michael O'Brien back on the show. We use the term "friends" loosely often, but these are two men I would genuinely consider friends for the personal connection we've made, and the impact we've had on each others' lives. I strongly suggest you go back to each of their episodes to hear their brilliance, and learn more about their stories. Cornell was on Episode 41 and Michael was on Episode 62.   Key Points from the Episode with Cornell Thomas & Michael O'Brien: Cornell Thomas joined again after appearing on Episode 41, which you have to listen to. He speaks on mindset, including overcoming adversity and callous the mind to become stronger from the problems we endure growing up. Cornell is also the founder of the Positivity Summit, which is a global series of events to bring together people to talk about how to build and live a positive mindset. Michael O’Brien joins us after being on Episode 62, which was a moving and inspiring conversation. Michael prevents bad moments from turning into a bad day (or longer). As Michael says, where we are now as a planet is a bad moment, to be sure. This is a point where there will be pain and suffering, but also a moment we can come out of stronger if we are willing to learn from it, and decide the way show up in these moments and on the back of them. Both Michael and Cornell have lived through very extreme moments that felt like their lives were over (for Michael, that took a literal meaning on top of the figurative one). This gives them perspective on what we face today, where lives are at risk for many, but how we live our lives is impacted for everyone. Michael said we are allowed to have two thoughts in our head, positive and negative. Cornell went deeper on this. You can have the moment thinking, “this is it, everything is ruined.” And you can have the thought of, “I can come out of this, regardless of the struggle.” The key is recognize the choice here rather than curling up and feeling like you can’t do anything. Choice can be tough to exercise, but it is a power we have. Neither Cornell nor Michael had any advanced warning in their stories, which not only shocks and surprises you, but creates a great deal of uncertainty. That uncertainty is a big part of what we are all struggling with now. Uncertainty creates a lot of difficulty, including potential questions of our identity – who are we if we don’t have our job or our role in our family? Michael reminds us we can’t find our true or new identity without taking steps, even small ones. There are positive messages around us right now. The fact that the virus is able to spread means that we all must be so connected and intertwined, which is a fact we can use positively when we’re able to come back together. Cornell reminded us that need to focus on acceptance. We can’t change anything without acceptance. We have been through so much as a people already, so we will get through this. This becomes an opportunity for us to get to things we haven’t done because of how busy we all are. One change can be the tone we have been seeing of late, with the negativity in the political scene globally. Michael brings up how the way we shape this situation defines what will come from it. The way we write this narrative defines the outcome. The idea of getting back to the way things were is something that none of the three of us hopes happens. We need to build something better rather than just going back to what we were. We talked about the butterfly effect of every moment and choice in our lives, even the seemingly tough ones. Cornell would not have his family or the impact he has today if he hadn’t gotten injured and had gone to Europe to play professional basketball. Michael has no regrets about what he has experienced, including his accident. He’s gotten to a place where he loves every scar on his body because of what he’s built as a result of them. Michael used the idea of Japanese Kintsuge pottery, which is made from joining up broken pieces using gold or other precious metals, and the new creation is far more beautiful than the original thing that had to be broken for the new version to exist. This is moment for creativity, where Cornell reminds us that thinking outside the box from a place of empathy for what people are going through can lead to new ideas that move us forward. If you have been through something before, you can either use it to build your shield or let those things crack it. But Cornell raises that we have been through all of these things before, or we wouldn’t be here, so we should recognize that we can do it. Michael asks a great reminder question for us all – share a time when you’ve faced something really hard and got through it. How did you do that? What lessons can we take from that today? There is a risk that the socio-economic divide we’ve already had will deepen if we don’t take specific action to address it. Cornell talked about the moments to find purpose, which ties to his life-long pain of not understanding why he didn’t have a dad (who died when he was just a toddler), and it did not become clear to him until he became a dad himself. We have to have faith and understand that as long as we have breath in our bodies, we can change our situation. Michael shared three ideas that can help especially in a moment like this with the challenges we face right now: When you feel the stress percolating, focus on your breath to slow everything down. Everything in our life is neutral until we label them, as Michael learned during his recovery from his accident. Nothing has meaning until we give it meaning, and we tend to be quick to do that with labels like good or bad. Through gratitude, we can see what we still have and can still do rather than just seeing what we have lost. We all have a daily responsibility to see good in the world, and these can be the building blocks for something much bigger. We can all do even little things to make people’s lives better, like letting someone merge in front of us, getting groceries for our neighbor, or whatever else we can do to help someone. The Third Story Podcast with Leo Sidran

Michael League is learning how to sleep. A friend sent him a book called Why We Sleep and reading it “rang a lot of bells”. Until recently, he says, “the majority of my rationale for not sleeping was about guilt. Saying it out loud I realize how ridiculous it is.”  Then again, he’s responsible for a lot of creative output, and he feels “a lot of pressure”. Michael is a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He is the founder and leader of the band Snarky Puppy, and the international music ensemble Bokanté. He’s also an owner and founder of the record label GroundUP Music. Snarky Puppy has collaborated with a massive collection of international artists, helped to popularize a new wave of interest in both instrumental music, and in the visual aspect of record making, and represents a version of independent success and popularity in the new music business that most emerging artists covet. They have won 3 Grammys, and have toured constantly since their start as students at the University of North Texas in 2003. As Michael tells it, the band spent over a decade in uncomfortable circumstances and near obscurity playing often for audiences that were smaller than the the band itself. Tour after tour, record after record, Snarky Puppy started a ball rolling and kept rolling it, gaining momentum, relocating from Texas to New York, and building towards what from today’s vantage point looks like the inevitable global success that they have become, but what at the time being probably looked a lot like magical thinking.  League says he thinks of himself primarily as a student. And talking to him it’s clear that he is constantly absorbing and synthesizing new information. He’s thirsty for more - to know more, to do more. He seems, to me, to be unrelenting, non stop, and full on.  This conversation is a long time coming. Here he talks about Snarky Puppy, the advantages to the American musical perspective (“we are light on our feet”), why “to create something authentic isn’t really possible to me”, how playing wedding and steak house gigs in Texas taught him about “humility and strengthening the muscles of versatility”, the importance of making everything as fun as possible on the road, why he sees himself primarily as a student, getting good sleep, and moving to Spain. www.third-story.com www.patreon.com/thirdstorypodcast https://groundupmusic.net/

Learn how to go where the competition isn't! For over a decade, Michael Olenick and I have worked together on Blue Ocean Strategy. Now, Michael is going to lead our Europe and the Middle East division. We have been getting a growing number of inquiries from all over the globe for Blue Ocean Strategy work, and Michael has been helping us guide these companies. It is now time for us to team up together and see how to help businesses everywhere discover the great value of seeing things through a Blue Ocean lens. We are thrilled to welcome Michael to our team here at SAMC, and to share with you our recent conversation. If you want to really understand how to grow and prosper, take a listen. If you have not had the opportunity, listen to our On The Brink podcasts on Blue Ocean thinking and the process to do it. You'll learn how to "see" the amazing possibilities that might be all around you that can transform your business. In this podcast, we wanted Michael to introduce you to his own perspective on Blue Ocean Strategy and the work he has done over almost 20 years. We talk about his work with Nintendo, and what that taught him about how its competitors, Microsoft and Sony, were focused on the young 8-year-old boy while Nintendo created a completely new market by thinking about everyone else. It's not about more, cheaper As Michael works with clients and publishes case studies about Blue Ocean Strategy success stories, he, and I, become increasingly convinced that more of the same, cheaper, is a strategy for failure. It was what others have preached forever. I talk about this in depth in an article I wrote for Forbes, "Does Your Business Need A Boost?," which you can read here. Clearly, in today’s fast-changing, tech-driven world, people and their organizations are going to have to think about what could be, not what is already. Markets and the companies trying to serve them need value innovation, not value incrementalism. A little bit better product or service keeps you stuck in a red ocean with a lot of others trying to do the same thing. So, as we Blue Ocean experts preach, stop going to your own trade shows. Go to different ones. Go exploring. Figure out unmet needs and nonusers who could use you. Then go get them. They might even be coming to you. Stop saying “We don’t do that.” Instead, try and figure out how you can do it. “The future is all around you, if only you can see it,” as John Seely Brown tells us. Meet Michael Olenick An Executive Fellow at the INSEAD Blue Ocean Strategy Institute in Fontainebleau, France, Dr. Michael Olenick has worked closely with Blue Ocean Strategy co-founders W. Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne since 2001, before their groundbreaking book, “Blue Ocean Strategy” (which has sold 4 million copies to date), was published 2005. Back then, their novel approach to business growth consisted of a series of articles in Harvard Business Review. Michael learned about Blue Ocean Strategy (then called Value Innovation) as a product developer at Avery Dennison, brought it to GE, and has used it at countless companies ever since. Today, Michael advises, consults, researches and teaches Blue Ocean Strategy throughout the world and has implemented its business strategy for companies ranging from startups to Fortune 100s. He works with senior executives from a wide array of companies and organizations to develop and/or study strategy, focusing particularly on technology, disruption, non-disruption and the differences and similarities between B2B and B2C businesses. Michael’s research has been cited in leading business publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and Bloomberg. In addition, the U.S. Congress and New York Federal Reserve have collaborated with him and relied on his research when making policy. Science Mike, William Matthews, and Hillary McBride talk with Michael Gungor about his newest book, THIS. As Michael shares, letting go of the stories that defined his identity and value in the world led him and his family on a wild and painful journey through atheism, mysticism, betrayal, loss, medical issues, moving trucks, and thousands of online trolls. The deconstruction of his faith is one story. The transformation of it is another. As Michael lets us know, our stories are the seams of illusion that we sew into reality―in order to label this and that. But what you think of as you (or anything else for that matter) is simply movement within the ocean of Being―of THIS. Once you see that is it just a story, you can let go and be free. This week, we sat down with Michael and Anthony Hannides, otherwise known as MakeYouKnowLove. They are brothers from the UK, multi-platinum songwriters, and practicers of martial arts. To give you a snapshot of their resume, Anthony and Michael co-wrote and produced Zayn’s smash hit Pillowtalk which went #1 in 75 countries, as well as many other songs on Zayn’s debut album Mind of Mine and Zayn’s follow up project Icarus Falls. They also co-wrote Kiss Me by Rita Ora which appeared on the Fifty Shades Darker Soundtrack, as well as worked with artists like Jay Sean, Alesha Dixon, Conor Maynard, and McLean. Back in 2005, Anthony and Michael sang in the group 4-Tune which made an impressive run to the finals on X-Factor, which we will get into more later. After touring for a couple years playing 4-Tune gigs, Anthony and Michael took that money to create their own makeshift studio. At first, they made music using a cupboard with curtains as the vocal booth. Working, eating, and sleeping out of the same place, they barely made any money for the first three years in the studio. As Michael and Anthony say, “A song’s success isn’t what makes us happy - writing the song itself, that’s the happiness.” With that mindset, the songs they’ve created have reached nearly 3 billion streams to date, and they have now released their own project called MakeYouKnowLove. I learned a lot from this conversation, including insights into fitness, meditation, and what it takes to make a living as a creator. Even if you have zero interest in music and songwriting, this conversation will broaden your perspective, and hopefully, leave you with some tools and messages that can apply to your everyday life.
