It is an honor to welcome back Voices of Service to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. In 2012, military veterans Ron Henry, Christal Realms, Jason Hanna, and Caleb Green formed the quartet and have sung together ever since. The Voices of Service became household names in 2019 when they auditioned for NBC's talent competition, America's Got Talent. The group's spectacular harmonies received praise from Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and former judges Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough. The group reached the Season 14 finale, where they placed fifth. In 2020, Voices of Service performed during the America's Got Talent – The Champions: Season Two qualifiers. Despite not advancing to the Semifinals, Cowell, Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon joined the audience in giving them a standing ovation for their potent cover of Kodaline's “Brother.” That same year, the group released their first four-song extended play, Rise, which contained the original tune “Let Me Raise My Voice.” In 2021 and 2022, the quartet released original songs “Come Home” and “Hope” respectively. They also dropped a holiday EP, Deck the Halls, in 2022 that featured the group's interpretations of “Deck the Halls,” “Joy to the World,” and “Sleigh Ride.” In this episode of The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Voices of Service discussed whether they would be interested in returning to compete for another AGT spin-off and talked about touring life.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/jake-s-take-with-jacob-elyachar--4112003/support.

In this episode of Insight we meet someone I've not seen, in the flesh, for over 40 years. We were at school together, a Grammar school in Gloucester of which he is now rightly regarded as one their high achiever alumni. After exams one of us formed a punk then indie band, getting signed by Virgin and the other joined an insurance company… My guest has had a quite the career, not least because he penned and performed one of the all time classic alternative rock tracks “Unbelievable” but essentially he didn't rest on his laurels and has gone on to work and continue to collaborate with some of the biggest stars in the music industry. Welcome to episode 1 of Season 9 of Live Well, Be Well, hosted by Sarah Ann Macklin. This podcast will bring you your weekly slice of wellbeing. We're kicking off series 9 with one of Britain's best-loved comedians, David Walliams, OBE. Little Britain, his creation with Matt Lucas, won numerous international awards including three BAFTAs, and now plays in over 100 countries. But he's not just a comedian. He swam the English Channel in 2006 raising over £1m for the charity Sport Relief and then in 2011 he swam 140 miles along the length of the River Thames, which raised more than £2m. He's also been a judge on the ITV talent show Britain's Got Talent since 2012 alongside Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon. David turned his hand in 2008 and started writing children's books. Since then he's become a best-selling children's author, with his novels having been translated into 55 languages, selling 50 million copies worldwide. Some of his books have been adapted into television films or for the stage, such as the Royal Shakespeare Company's acclaimed musical production of The Boy in the Dress. In this episode of Live Well, Be Well, we talk to David about happiness, what it looks like for him today and the journey he's been on to find it. We hear out about his process when writing, his inspirations and the message he'd like people to take from the stories. He also discusses how having become a father in the past 10 years has affected his life and happiness, he shares some stories including one about Kanye West & Elton John and of course, some of his favourite jokes.

As broadcast July 26, 2021 with plenty of extra palm trees for podcast travelers. Tonight we remember Aaliyah, a transformative talent in the worlds of music, film, and pretty much everything else she wanted to do. Yesterday marked the 20th anniversary of her final live performance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Exactly one month later, she would be gone, killed in a tragic aviation accident in The Bahamas that was also easily avoidable. After our rememberance, we started rocking the new tunes out this past weekend, with a particular focus on Leon Bridges & Chiiild, both out with new albums, along with new singles out from Lorde, James Blake, Childish Gambino & many other very worthy artists for our first hour New Muses Monday. With our 2nd half comes The Popcast on Mondays, and we had a slew of great new tunes there as well from Lil Nas X, Coldplay, Khalid, and many others.#feelthegravityTracklisting:Part I (00:00)Aaliyah – More Than A WomanLeon Bridges – SteamChiiild – WeightlessWinston Surfshirt feat Ramirez – All Of The Little ThingsBig Red Machine feat Fleet Foxes & Anais Mitchell – Phoenix Del Water Gap – Better Than I Know MyselfPart II (31:59)Lorde – Stoned At The Nail SalonJames Blake – Say What You WillNASAYA feat MARO – I SEE IT COMINGBrittany Howard – Stay High (Childish Gambino vers)La Luz feat Adrian Younge – Watching Cartoons DARKSIDE – I'm The EchoKilo Kish – American Gurl Part III (63:37)Lil Nas X – Industry Baby (feat. It is a pleasure to welcome escapologist and daredevil Jonathan Goodwin to The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. Throughout his career, Jonathan has been hanged, buried alive, and burned at the stake. He also suspended by his toes from helicopters, was covered in 200,000 bees, and was attacked by rattlesnakes and sharks. His stunts have been featured on countless television programs, including Dirty Tricks, Cheating the Gallows, Deathwish Live, and Dangerman: The Incredible Mr. Goodwin. He also toured with the Illusionists, a supergroup of magicians. In 2019, Jonathan Goodwin stepped entered the Got Talent franchise when he auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent: Series 13 and terrified judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams with his stunts. He impressed the British public with his performances that they voted him into the Series 13 finals. This year, Jonathan auditioned online for America’s Got Talent’s fifteenth anniversary season. He impressed Simon, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara. However, he had to prove himself during the Season 15 Judges Cuts, and after performing another death-defying stunt, the judges voted him through to the Season 15 live shows.During the Universal Studios Hollywood live rounds, Jonathan soared as he performed two death-defying stunts in the Season 15 quarterfinals and semifinals that surprised and stunned the audience. Sadly, he was eliminated right before the Season 15 finale. In this edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Jonathan Goodwin talked about his time on the Got Talent franchise and how he prepares for live performances.

On this edition of Sarcasm City the hosts discussed the backlash Diversity & Alesha Dixon received regarding them supporting The Black Lives Matter moment, Kanye West ranting on twitter plus more.
It's literally scandalous that Right Back At Ya! hasn't done a Mis-Teeq episode until now... but here we are at last. Joel and David are celebrating the Goddesses of Garage in this banging throwback fest that follows the origins of Mis-Teeq, from their early line-up to their meteoric rise that saw them score seven consecutive UK Top 10 hits and achieve international success. Together they fondly reminisce on Mis-Teeq memories from their vastly different childhoods in Romford and Melbourne, while simultaneously brainstorm big ideas for the band's big reunion. From the infectious Garage cuts of 'Why?' and 'All I Want', it was clear the holy trinity of Sabrina Washington, Alesha Dixon, and Su-Elise Nash were going to be unstoppable. With the double platinum-selling success of their debut album "Lickin' On Both Sides", they showed the world their fine art of mixing Garage, pop and R&B into one distinct sound - and solidly repped it from the MOBO Awards to Brit Awards stage. Together Joel and David also strut through the blockbuster hit 'Scandalous' and Mis-Teeq's sumptuous second album "Eye Candy", and their ambitious American takeover with the self-titled "Mis-Teeq" album, before the sad and sudden split just four years after their first single. If you're high class with a nice ass, and you ain't sippin' if it ain't Cristal... then pour yourself a glass of something good and roll on with the Right Back At Ya! boys in this fun-filled episode. About Episode 15: Our Guest, Yemi Osunkoya Kosibah is an award winning designer behind the Kosibah label. He launched his label Kosibah in September 1991 in London, UK.. Even as a small child Yemi Osunkoya had an exceptional eye for detail. Mere minutes after attending weddings with his parents in his homeland of Nigeria, he would start sketching the elaborate designs he had seen adorning the bridal party, recreating everything from the bridesmaids’ parasols to the flower girls’ hemlines with the help of only pen and paper. Years later he turned that talent into a flourishing career in couture. Even before he launched his line in 1991 he knew it would be named Kosibah, a name given to a baby girl born on a Sunday in the Republic of Benin, after his mother to honor the nourishment and encouragement his parents gave his artistic pursuits. Osunkoya draws inspirations from his international travels as well as many other art forms including the ballet, and contemporary painting. Spending countless hours studying the work of legends like Dior, Balenciaga, and Givenchy, who felt the foundation of the garment was as important as its exterior, inspired him to study the time-honored art of couture at the Paris Academy of Fashion where he achieved top-tier grades in both men’s and women’s wear. Actresses, dignitaries, and even royalty have turned to Osunkoya to make the most memorable days of their lives even more magnificent including Lady Janet Boateng, Dianne Abbott MP, Alesha Dixon, Sheila Ferguson, Hollywood actresses Louise Rose and Indra Ové, Miss World Agbani Darego, and singers Stephanie Benson and Kelly Rowland. His gowns have been worn to royal balls, state dinners, and other courtly occasions. But despite his illustrious clientele he prides himself on offering superior service to each and every one of his clients. He ensures that they feel involved in the process of creating their couture gown welcoming their input and happily honoring any religious or cultural traditions with respect and consideration. His celebrated bridal work has received Diamond Recognition from National Weddings. He has also been named International Designer of the Year by City People magazine, and received the Honorary Award for Contributions to Fashion from Fashion Diversity. He has been featured in a variety of publications including World Bride Magazine, BHF magazine, TW magazine, Lady Brille Magazine, Noir Bride, African Luxury and The Undefeated. Still his greatest accolades come from his clients who continue to send heartfelt thanks sometimes even years after they’ve worked together to make their dreams come true. Ed Sheeran is the subject of famed U.K. celebrity biographer Sean Smith who we sit down and discuss in detail his latest book, simply called, “Ed Sheeran”.Ed Sheeran is a true inspiration. His moving and uplifting songs forge a lasting connection with the millions of people around the world who love him and his music. He was the thirteen-year-old guitarist in a school rock band when he decided to become a singer-songwriter, even though he could barely hold a tune and had never written a song. Within a year, he had recorded an album in his bedroom.Bestselling biographer Sean Smith traces the astonishing journey of the shy little boy with a stammer who, avoiding flashy showmanship, grew up to be a global phenomenon.Through compelling new research and interviews, he tells the story of Ed's remarkable mum and dad who gave their son the courage to pursue his dream, the friends and mentors who encouraged him and the lovers who inspired his most famous songs.Smith describes the setbacks Ed faced before his fortunes were transformed by Elton John's management company, a record deal and a song that changed everything - with a little help from Taylor Swift.Ed found it difficult to cope with the world at his feet, but a new relationship with a girl from his home town has brought him happiness and a fresh purpose in life. Now he is the most successful solo star on the planet, earning £83 million last year. It’s 2020! We begin the new year with a newer artist! Ed Sheeran is the subject of famed U.K. celebrity biographer Sean Smith who we sit down and discuss in detail his latest book, simply called, “Ed Sheeran”. Ed Sheeran is a true inspiration. Yet in the middle of his record-breaking 2018 UK tour, he played for just 400 people at a charity night to raise money for the homeless. As this captivating book reveals, there's no one quite like Ed. Sean Smith is the UK's leading celebrity biographer and the author of five Sunday Times best sellers including Cheryl, the definitive biography of Cheryl Cole. His books about the most famous people of our times have been translated throughout the world. His subjects include Robbie Williams, Kate Middleton, Tulisa, Kylie Minogue, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Alesha Dixon,Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Aniston and J. K. Rowling. PEG: Talks to UK Singer-Songwriter Eleni C Music Website https://www.elenicmusic.com/ Spotify https://open.spotify.com/artist/6UFfn3npHMEKpRNPc1sXpr?si=I0HB4aHATt2vrLtEhvJbsg Biography Eleni C has been steadily laying down the foundations for a bright music career and she is now poised to be on the next wave of break through talent for 2019. Influenced by a wide variety of genres and styles Eleni focused her songwriting onto a new direction infusing her songs with Latin and ethnic undertones. Eleni is often quoted saying that “for me music and songwriting is the way I express my soul.” After completing the first leg of her European tour she is now back in the UK set to release several new singles with her debut single ‘One Last Time’ out now, from her upcoming first EP, Broken Ice. Her 2nd single ‘I Don’t Give A Damn’ is set to be released on 9th Aug followed by her video on 16th Aug. Eleni’s unique tone and rich, powerful sound has afforded her the attention, praise and distinction in numerous occasions. She was chosen as the artist to represent the UK in the International Music Festival with her original song, ‘Leap of Faith’, where she took first prize in the Best Song and Best Female Singer categories. This provided her with the perfect jumping-off-point and, soon enough, Eleni was being booked as the opening act for fellow female singers Fleur East, Alesha Dixon, Foxes, Stooshe, Little Boots and Becky Hill, ska-reggae royalty Locomondo and Greek superstar Peggy Zina. Some highlights from Eleni C’s career include performing at the Free Radio Live Concert in the Birmingham NEC Arena, Pride in London and the Westfield Music Cube. ________________________________________________________________ PEG Links: LinkTree: https://linktr.ee/PhantomElectricGhost Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/PhantomElectricGhost The Flower That Blooms at Midnight in the Tomb by Amazon.com https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X1M63G4/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_-bmGDbY4D07WY --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/phantom-electric/message

This week, we sat down with Michael and Anthony Hannides, otherwise known as MakeYouKnowLove. They are brothers from the UK, multi-platinum songwriters, and practicers of martial arts. To give you a snapshot of their resume, Anthony and Michael co-wrote and produced Zayn’s smash hit Pillowtalk which went #1 in 75 countries, as well as many other songs on Zayn’s debut album Mind of Mine and Zayn’s follow up project Icarus Falls. They also co-wrote Kiss Me by Rita Ora which appeared on the Fifty Shades Darker Soundtrack, as well as worked with artists like Jay Sean, Alesha Dixon, Conor Maynard, and McLean. Back in 2005, Anthony and Michael sang in the group 4-Tune which made an impressive run to the finals on X-Factor, which we will get into more later. After touring for a couple years playing 4-Tune gigs, Anthony and Michael took that money to create their own makeshift studio. At first, they made music using a cupboard with curtains as the vocal booth. Working, eating, and sleeping out of the same place, they barely made any money for the first three years in the studio. As Michael and Anthony say, “A song’s success isn’t what makes us happy - writing the song itself, that’s the happiness.” With that mindset, the songs they’ve created have reached nearly 3 billion streams to date, and they have now released their own project called MakeYouKnowLove. I learned a lot from this conversation, including insights into fitness, meditation, and what it takes to make a living as a creator. Even if you have zero interest in music and songwriting, this conversation will broaden your perspective, and hopefully, leave you with some tools and messages that can apply to your everyday life. From humble beginnings, Jay grew his first business from 0-500 employees and three locations, racking up sales of over £30 million – all without any investment other than a small amount of savings. The business went on to acquire major clients such as Landrover, Jaguar, Toyota and New Look, to name a few. Its huge success inevitably brought about outside interest and at the age 33 Jay eventually sold the company to a London investment firm in Doyen Resources. Today, Jay owns several businesses in different sectors and helps entrepreneurs achieve success. A calling to give back and help others led to Jay being chosen for the highly-coveted role as a Prince’s Trust mentor, where his achievements were marked by a personal invitation to Buckingham Palace to meet Prince Charles. After helping several young entrepreneurs to success as a mentor for the Trust, Jay’s burning desire to bring his wisdom and knowledge to a wider audience ultimately triggered the concept of The Business Mentor Podcast. Jay feels that anyone can achieve success in business with the right advice and mentoring and is now sharing his knowledge with his growing audience via his podcast. In the UK alone 95% of business fail within the first five years and Jay’s aim is to reduce that number. Backed with the hard-earned knowledge and experience from his time in business, The Business Mentor Podcast will share Jay’s personal business lessons as well those of other successful entrepreneur guests who share their wisdom and secrets on the show. CONTACT METHOD https://www.jay-dhillon.com/ https://uk.linkedin.com/in/jaydhillon https://www.instagram.com/jaydhillonuk/ https://www.facebook.com/JaydhillonUK/ Jay@businessmentorpodcast.com ABOUT THE GUEST From the moment Luca’s Uncle Bruno plucked a coin from behind his ear at age 6, he has been fascinated by the art of magic to a point of obsession. After begging his mum for a magic set for Christmas, Luca was soon hooked on the magic pill and, little did his parents know at the time, they’d sparked a lifelong passion. Getting his hands on every magic book and trick he could, Luca soon began to build up an impeccable sleight-of-hand skillset at a very early age. After two years of performing at private parties and weddings whilst at school and sixth form, Luca took the leap of fate into pursuing his dreams. With the help of the Prince’s Trust – the same organisation who helped Dynamo start – Luca launched his business as a magician aged just 18. His work ethic, talent and instantly likeable persona helped him quickly establish himself as one of the hottest properties in the industry. With his magic already taking him around the world, Luca was headhunted to audition for Britain’s Got Talent 2015. He took his close-up act to the Birmingham Hippodrome, where he received an ovation from the 2,000 strong crowd and four yes votes from the celebrity judges, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams. Since his success on the show, Luca’s career has roared from strength-to-strength and now he regularly performs for celebrities and top end corporate clients, being their trusted magician of choice.

Co-founder of Fit Freaks and Fit In 5, Marvin Ambrosius set up Fit Freaks to inspire people to live an active lifestyle, no matter what time schedule they’re on. After reaching the heights of success in basketball and having his sporting career stopped abruptly by injury, Marvin struggled with his own weight until venturing on his own fitness and weight loss journey. Now he’s teaching others to lose weight, five minutes at a time. Watch the full episode on YouTube – https://youtu.be/fkqKi2n5Hxs Growing up on a diet of music and basketball, Marvin was taught to work hard and put the dedication in to everything that he does, whether the workload is a marathon or a sprint. Hi basketball career saw him reach the top five players in the country. However, five ankle injuries before he was 17 meant that doctors advised against the sport. Despite returning back to full health, the straw that broke the camel’s back was another final injury that brought the end to Marvin’s NBA dreams. Marvin also embarked on a successful music career, even working with Angie Stone and Alesha Dixon. Although, while his calorie intake balanced his basketball activity, it didn’t take long before he gained weight when he stopped exercising. Having put on around 4-5 stone in a year, he decided to do something about it. When his music career went quiet, Marvin started working for Sky TV’s sales team. It was here that he began developing Fit In 5, which originally started as an app before evolving into a TV show. Whether on your smartphone or on your television, Fit Freaks’ Fit In 5 is a high intensity workout programme that’s aimed at providing a challenge to every muscle group while still being convenient for any busy lifestyle. Marvin also still writes music, too, incorporating it into his workouts to drive the effort of every participant. Episode Highlights - How to redefine your career or approach when you’re forced to follow a new path through injury. Why yo-yo diets are a bad idea and will only show results in the short term before further weight gain is inevitable. The importance of stability in nutrition is paramount. The importance of timing in business, and how your end goal will certainly change as success comes. How building confidence for kids when it comes to exercise will bring benefits for their future in every respect, including keeping fitness as a part of their life forever. Why having complementary revenue streams or abilities will do nothing but bolster the benefits of every offering and opportunity you undertake. The Context of White Supremacy hosts our monthly Global Sunday Talk On Racism. This program is specifically constructed to encourage participation from Victims of Racism beyond the United States and/or non-white people who are not able to join the dialog during our typical broadcast time. Like everything else, the holiday season supports the System of Racism. Dutch journalist and political candidate Sylvia Simons was Racially Terrorized for critiquing the White Supremacist tradition of Zwarte Piet (Black Pete). Simon's face was "super-imposed on the hanged bodies of victims of a lynching." Whites in England broadcast a BBC documentary on what some would describe as the 2011 lynching of Mark Duggan by Metropolitan Police. The project obscured the centrality of White Supremacy in Duggan's death and the ensuing coverage of the killing as well as the days of "rioting." Black Is The New Black, a four-part series also aired on the BBC, features Thandie Newton, Naomi Campbell, Dizzee Rascal, Alesha Dixon and some of the most recognizable, most accomplished black Britons alive. Refreshingly, many of these black celebrities spoke candidly, courageously about how they have been humiliated and brutalized by White Supremacists. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE: 564943# The C.O.W.S. archives: http://tiny.cc/76f6p
