Send us a text to let us know what you think of the show! In the season finale of We're Probably Not OK!, we're serving up a full plate of laughs, reflection, and stress eating. This week, the boys dig into the mental health side of food—how our emotions, habits, and histories shape the way we eat (and think about eating). From comfort foods to cravings, we explore why food is so much more than just fuel. But don't worry, it's not all deep talk—we lighten things up with a couple of food-themed games and a sweet dive into America's best-selling candies. Which ones melt under pressure? Which ones stick to your soul (and your teeth)? It's a deliciously funny, surprisingly heartfelt episode to close out the season. So grab a snack, settle in, and join us for POTUP Sugar Daddy—because on We're Probably Not OK!, food for thought always comes with dessert. #FoodPodcast #MentalHealth #ComedyPodcast #WereProbablyNotOK #PodcastSeasonFinale #FoodAndFeelings #ComfortFood #CandyTalk #SweetTooth #POTUP #PodcastHumor #MindfulEating #SnackLife #SugarDaddyEpisode #FoodDiscussion #PopCulturePodcast Watch the video version of this podcast and our video game goofs on YouTube @ We're Probably Not Okay!Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. You'd think feeling bad about your body would make you eat less. But often, it does the opposite — and no, you're not broken for that. In this episode, we talk about the counterintuitive link between body image spirals and the urge to binge eat. We share our own experiences of how fear, shame, and catastrophizing can kick off the cycle — sometimes even before any actual restriction happens. From the mental scarcity that shows up just at the idea of cutting back, to the sensory panic of tight jeans, we explore what's really going on beneath the surface. We also talk about: Why planning to restrict often triggers the binge The role of black-and-white thinking and emotional escape How body discomfort creates urgency to numb out Practical strategies for de-escalating the moment (including algorithm cleanup and body neutrality) Plus, we share some food updates, lighter moments, and how this overlaps with topics from our other podcast, Feelings and Other Inconveniences. If you've ever felt confused or ashamed about bingeing after a “bad body day,” this episode will help you understand why — and what to do about it.   Love the episode? In today's episode of the SHE Talks Health podcast, we're getting to the bottom of why weight struggles aren't always about the things we're eating. I know so many of us struggle with our relationship with food and our bodies. If you've ever felt frustrated, confused, or even hopeless about your eating habits or weight, this episode will offer you some hope and understanding. I'm thrilled to share my conversation with the incredible Jiordana Sadde, a clinical nutritionist and food psychology expert who knows just how hard our relationship with food can be at times. During our conversation, Jiordana shares her experience with childhood obesity and eating disorders and how she finally found true peace with food. She helps us understand that our struggles aren't our fault — they often stem from subconscious programming that started in childhood. You'll learn why simply knowing what's "healthy" often isn't enough to change our behaviors, and how our thoughts and emotions profoundly impact our body's response to food. Jiordana's insights might just help you see your relationship with food in a whole new light.I hope this conversation offers you some comfort and practical steps forward if you're struggling with food noise, limiting beliefs around food, self-sabotage, or anything that's keeping you stuck in a frustrating cycle. Have you ever stopped to notice what you're actually thinking and saying about yourself to yourself? This was a foreign concept for me for years. I had no idea that the crummy thoughts I had about myself, and the even crummier story I was telling myself was *optional*. I would recite that story over and over like it was the truth. Ironically, this led to me engaging in behaviors and habits which only reinforced the negative self-concept I had. Once I learned the power of our mind and our thinking over our lives, things began to change for me in my life. I began to show up differently in my marriage, my family, social interactions. I started putting myself out there for even bigger risks and goals. We think the way we feel in and about our lives, marriages, kids, bodies, etc is a result of those things--so we wish, and hope and work to make those life circumstances different. Instead, its' merely the story we tell over and over and over again. If we change the story, we change the way we show up, our experiences of those things, and ultimately our results and our lives. Jessi Jean is a simple girl from Colorado who turned her decade long struggle with food and body into her mission. She has helped over one thousand women find food freedom through her signature program, The Food Freedom Online Program, and its mission to continue to help women around the world end the fight with food and find confidence in their skin so they can live in complete freedom. Jessi and I have a fascinating conversation about eating disorders, self image, and changes to be made in order to have a healthy view of yourself that focuses more on who you are in place of how you look, which has greatly affected people psychologically with the growth of social media. Her health path and how she got into helping other women 1:13Dispelling the stigma of eating disorders 4:07Getting out of your diet cycle and questions to ask yourself 7:02The broken concept of body image 10:47How to go about helping a loved one 20:48Is it more about the food we eat, or psychology? 29:33How to begin the process of coping with and managing eating disorders 41:41The thing that will really help you heal 48:44“My self perception if I was being honest with myself was 95% made up of the way that I looked, and now when I think about who is Jessi, I think about a variety of different things. I value so much more in myself. The way that I look is just a fraction of my own perception of who I am.” 12:43https://www.foodfreedomonlineprogram.com/ffmhttps://risewithmeco.com/@jessijeannn@thedearbodypodcast

As a mother of four boys, Kristen has always made health and nutrition a top priority for her family's overall health. Kristen has been practicing Nutrition for almost 6 years. She graduated from ASU in Dietetics and has worked with all different types of nutritional clients with needs including food sensitivities, food insecurities, sports nutrition, pre and post pregnancy, picky eaters, and many more. While living in Puerto Rico for four years, Kristen had a desire to help the people of the island with basic nutrition through community outreach, educational programs on nutrition, acting as a board member of a nutrition counsel for a private school and took on her own clients. She will be forever grateful for these experiences that have helped her understand different nutritional cultures as well as how lifestyle choices can affect the way your body metabolizes different nutrients. Kristen is also certified in Food Psychology which helps her clients understand their personal relationships with their dietary needs. This past year she has developed her own genetic test called ICH-Balance. This test has taken her practice to the next level and she is able to give custom meal plans and strategy tips based off clients' DNA. IG: @i.choose.healthy www.i-choose-healthy.com
