1st Session, Week 2 - Opening Up to Unconditional Love with David & UrpiThis session was an invitation to look within our minds and go beyond the five senses. By following the way of the mystic, we recognize that love is content and form of any kind. The fragmented world of the ego is sustained by preferences, which are part of a hierarchy of illusions; yet Jesus reminds us that the only illusion that truly leads us to awakening is forgiveness. Instead of believing we have many choices, we discover that in truth there is only one: following the guidance. Ultimately, we understand that we have no other need than God, and with this comes a lack of interest in differences. Enjoy
I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Monday morning, the 13th of October, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Gospel of John 1:1-4: ”In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God (that's Jesus), and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” Wow, I just love that scripture folks! You have no idea how much I love that Scripture! That's why I love the Bible so much, because Jesus Christ is the Word and when somebody says to you, ”Show me this Jesus you're always talking about, I can't see Him,” give him a Bible because Jesus is the Word. I want to say to the younger people, this Big Bang theory, it doesn't hold anything at all. It's a lie, I'm telling you, a lie from the pit of hell! They'll tell you that this whole beautiful universe of ours started by some chemical explosion. I want you to ask them a question, ”Who made the chemical explosion?” And they'll say to you, ”And how can you prove that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” You can say, ”Because the Bible tells me, “In the beginning…” He was there in the beginning with His Father.” So that holds a lot more water than talking about some big explosion. In the beginning, “I Am” was there. He's always been there and He always will be there. Now, I'm not a scientist, no, no, I'm a farmer, but I want to tell you, I defy any scientist to prove to me. We'll go for a walk into the field and I'll show him spring. It's spring here on the farm at Shalom and the leaves are coming out on the trees that have been dormant right through the winter. I see a newborn calf, I see the wild animals are breeding at the moment, it's a wonderful time of the year, but every season is a wonderful time of the year. You know why? Because Jesus made it all. He made it all, from the beginning. So, Jesus bless you today as you celebrate the wonderful truth that in the beginning was the Word and His name is Jesus Christ.God bless you and have a wonderful day,Goodbye.
Iam so reminded, as we think about what's going on right now in the news, thatJesus Christ is coming soon. The Bible says when everyone is saying peace andsafety, then sudden destruction will come upon them (1 Thessalonians 5:3).Before real peace comes in the millennial reign of Jesus Christ, there will bethe rapture of the church and then a terrible seven-year tribulation period, asI understand the prophetic Scriptures in the Bible. But we can still pray forpeace today. This is something that we can pray for, “that we might live godlyand quiet lives, that we might have the opportunities to share the gospel ofJesus Christ with everyone we possibly can” (1 Timothy 2:1-3). Again,I ask for your prayers. You know that while we travel, we are not able to makeour daily pastor chats. I trust you'll just go back and look at maybe some ofthe old chats. You can do that on YouTube and even on Facebook. Just look themup and go back and listen. I trust they'll encourage you and bless you whilewe're missing our daily chats. We hope to be back by October the 26th from thistrip. Wehave been looking at Ephesians 2. In these first 10 verses we see how that sin worksagainst us and brings death into our lives. “But God”, (I love verse four), butGod, God works for us. He redeems us. He forgives us. And it's all through theblood of His son Jesus Christ. He exalts us. We sit in the heavenly places eventoday in Christ Jesus. We are to the praise of His glory. What a wonderfulchange takes place when we meet Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We talkedabout how that we are saved by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ. Thatfaith makes a difference because it's a faith that not only saves us, it's afaith that works in us and through us and out of us. God works in us, throughus, and for us as we trust in the blood of His son Jesus Christ. Nowas we get down to verse 11 through the end of the chapter, we're finding aboutthe peace that God can make between not only ourselves and God, but betweenourselves and others. The Gentiles and the Jews were so divided because theJews look down very much upon the Gentile people as you see in these verses. Now the Jew and Gentile can go to church together and be made one in JesusChrist. I am telling you, it doesn't matter what religion you are, what faith youare, what background you might have, what culture you were raised in. When youcome to know Jesus Christ as your savior, other believers become your brothersand sisters in Christ. They, I'm telling you, can be loved in Christ. You canhave oneness in Jesus Christ. That means you have peace. You not only havepeace with God, but you also have peace with those around you. Thecircumcision were the Jews that was made with hands. Circumcision was a sign ofthe covenant that God had made with His people Israel. The Gentiles were theuncircumcised. Paul now addresses the Gentiles in the church at Ephesus. Theywere without Christ. They were aliens from the commonwealth of Israel. Theywere strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God inthe world. But now in Christ Jesus, those “who were once afar off have beenbrought near by the blood of Christ”. What a powerful message for us today.Come to Jesus through His blood and you can be made one with those around youin Christ! Myfriend, today you can have peace with God and peace with those around you. That's the real peace we should all be seeking today. Godbless!
Who Does Jesus Claim to Be? “I Am the Bread of Life” (John 6:35) - Dr. Bill Cook
Welcome to the sermon. Last week, we explored Moses's question, "Who am I?" Today, we tackle the other great question from the burning bush: "Who are you, God?" We're diving into Exodus 3 to explore the profound meaning behind the name God reveals for Himself—a name full of mystery and power, which is ultimately and most clearly revealed in the person of Jesus.Scripture ReferencesExodus 3:13-15: Moses asks for God's name, and God reveals Himself as "I AM WHO I AM."John 8:56-59: Jesus declares, "Before Abraham was, I AM," identifying Himself as Yahweh.Hebrews 12:29: "For our God is a consuming fire."Colossians 1:15-20: A description of Jesus as the supreme and exact image of the invisible God.Key Points1. Why Moses Asks for a NameMoses wasn't just asking for a label. In a world of many gods, he needed more than a title; he was asking for God's character and power. He needed to understand who this God was so he could confidently lead the Israelites. It was a request for a deeper revelation of God's very nature.2. The Mysterious Name: "I AM" (YHWH)God's answer is a profound riddle: "I AM WHO I AM." This reveals His personal name, YHWH (often translated as "the LORD"), which points to His self-existence, His eternal and unchangeable nature, and His power as Creator. Like the burning bush itself, God's name is both inviting and holy—the fire draws us in with fascination but also warns us with its power. It's an invitation to spend a lifetime getting to know this mysterious, all-powerful God.3. Jesus is the Answer to the RiddleThe mystery of God's name finds its ultimate answer in Jesus. In the New Testament, Jesus repeatedly uses "I AM" statements ("I am the good shepherd," "I am the vine," etc.) and makes the staggering declaration, "Before Abraham was, I AM" (John 8:58). He wasn't just pointing to Yahweh; He was identifying Himself as Yahweh in the flesh. If the name YHWH was the introduction, Jesus is the full story.ConclusionThe name of God, Yahweh, is not just an ancient fact; it's an invitation into a relationship with the self-existent, all-powerful Creator. Jesus is the final and clearest revelation of this name. He is Yahweh in the flesh, the perfect image of the invisible God, making the mysterious known. To truly know the great "I AM," we must know Jesus.Calls to ActionBow to Jesus: If you have never surrendered to Him, recognize Him today as the one true God, Yahweh in the flesh.Ask for the Fire: If your faith has grown stagnant, pray for the fire of the Holy Spirit to burn away your boredom and fascinate you with God's presence anew.Go Deeper: Move beyond knowing facts about God to pursuing an experiential relationship with God through Jesus. Todaywe're continuing to look at Ephesians 2:10. We are talking about the good worksthat are produced after salvation in our lives through the ministry and work ofthe Holy Spirit. “God working in us both the will and to do of His goodpleasure” (Philippians 2:13). We always need to remember we are not savedby good works but we're saved unto good works and for good works for the gloryof God. James 2 makes it really clear that we're justified before God by faith, but before men, and even the assurance that we have of our own salvation, isthe fact that we have a faith that works for us and in us and through us andproduces good works because faith as he says at least three times in verses 14through 26, that “faith without works is dead”. TheBible speaks of many different kinds of works. There are the “works of thelaw” in Galatians 2:16. There are the “works of the flesh” that arelisted in Galatians 5:19-21. There are the “works of darkness” in Romans13:12 and Ephesians 5:11. There are the “dead works” in Hebrews 6:1 thatlead to death. Then there are the “works of righteousness” in Titus 3:5that refer to religious works, or in other words, good deeds that we think cangive us our salvation and make us holy before God. But remember Isaiah declaresthat all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags in God's sight (Isaiah 64:6).My friend, if our righteousnesses are filthy, oh, what must our sins look like? Theworks that Paul's talking about in Ephesians 2:10 here have two specialcharacteristics. First, they are good works in contrast to the works ofdarkness and wicked works. If you contrast Ephesians 2:10 and Ephesians 2:2,you'll see that the unbeliever has Satan working in him and therefore his worksare not good. Because the believer has God working in him, therefore, his worksare good. His works are not good because he himself is good, but because he hasa new nature from God and because the Holy Spirit works in him and through himto produce these good works. My life verse has been Philippians chapter 1:6: “Beingconfident of this very thing that He who has begun the good work in you, Hewill perform it. He will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ”. Itis sad today that so many believers put a little emphasis or no emphasis on theworks of the believer because they don't want to mix it up with works andsalvation. But the Bible makes a big deal about our works in Matthew 5:16. “Letyour light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorifyyour Father which is in heaven”. We don't perform good works to glorifyourselves but to glorify our Father which is in heaven. The apostle Pauldesired that Christ would be magnified in his body even if it meant death.Philippians 1:20-21. We should “abound to every good work” (2Corinthians 9:8). We should be “fruitful in every good work” (Colossians1:10). We are “equipped by God for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:17). Weshould be “zealous unto good works and maintain them” (Titus 2:14). Wefind also in Hebrews 13:16 that our good works are actually “spiritualsacrifices that we offer to God”. It'simportant to note that we don't manufacture these good works. They're theresult of God working in our heart. Paul said, "By the grace of God, Iam what I am" . My friend, when you truly have been born again and the Spirit of God lives in you, therewill be good works produced in your life for the glory of God and others willsee it and magnify God and many will believe. Rememberour good works are evidence that we have been born again. "Not everyonethat says unto Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but hethat does the will of My Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 7:21).Our good works are also testimonies to the lost (1 Peter 2:12). Our good worksthat are produced by the fruits of the Holy Spirit in us will also win us theright to be heard.

EP #340 - The Invincible Path - An interview with Author, Howard Falco I know I might be starting to sound a little redundant here, but I gotta say it again, I just love what I do. I get to meet incredible people—people I truly admire—and I'm constantly learning and growing through these conversations. Today, I'm so honored to welcome author and mindfulness coach, Howard Falco, to Empowering Chats. I first discovered Howard through his book I Am. The moment I read it, I just knew—somewhere down the line—I'd get to meet him. And now… here we are. Howard's most recent book is entitled Invincible, and it's just as powerful. He shared that the inspiration for I Am came through what he described as an expansion of consciousness—an experience so intense it felt like he was filled with thousands of volts of electricity. That's how profound the process was for him. The book is a deep dive into self-understanding and self-awareness, bringing together a wealth of insight and wisdom. Invincible came later, after Howard had spent years integrating and applying the principles from I Am, not only in his own life but also in his work with high-performing athletes and everyday individuals. This new book is all about cultivating an empowered mindset—showing us how to become invincible in our own minds. Howard also explores our relationship with time. He explains that if we're stuck in the past or constantly projecting into the future, we can only feel and experience. But real creation and transformation? That only happens in the present. The now is where our true power lies. Through his work, Howard helps people recognize their inherent worth and embrace the joy that life has to offer. I want my listeners to know that you do have a choice—and that the Universe meets you exactly where you are, giving you what you're ready for. According to Howard, if you're feeling stuck in suffering or weighed down by life's challenges, there is a path forward. You can shift how you see yourself, raise your vibration, and in doing so, contribute to the elevation of collective consciousness. One more awakened, empowered person helps tilt the balance. It's vital to understand that you can choose to see yourself with more love, more joy, more happiness, and more peace. Howard also offers practical tools you can begin using right now in your daily life. Remember: at any moment, your life can change. Stay humble, take action—and watch the transformation unfold. In this session, Erin H. Warren teaches through John 6. Jesus feeds 5,000 men with five loaves and two fishes, and the disciples collect twelve baskets of leftovers. While struggling against a storm on the Sea of Galilee, Jesus walks on water and declares "I AM". The next day, crowds follow Jesus seeking more bread for their stomachs, but Jesus proclaims "I AM the Bread of Life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst." Many disciples stop following Jesus. When Jesus asks the twelve if they will go away as well, Peter utters the famous words, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.” For more information on this study, go to FeastingOnTruth.com/JohnFor recommended resources, go to FeastingOnTruth.com/ResourcesFor booking inquiries, go to FeastingOnTruth.com/Speaking

The Way of the Mystic – Session 2: Loosening the Grip of the Five SensesIn this second session of The Way of the Mystic, David Hoffmeister guides us into a profound metaphysical exploration using a beloved animated film as a spiritual mirror. David's commentary invites us to loosen our mind's grip on the five senses and open ourselves to the intuitive guidance of the Holy Spirit. Set against the backdrop of St. Francis Day, David weaves together the radical simplicity of St. Francis's life with the mystical journey of Francis Xu, whose own transformative experience with this film echoes the lesson “I am the Holy Son of God Himself” from A Course in Miracles. The session becomes a portal into the direct experience of divine love. This is not just a movie commentary—it's a call to remember who we truly are beyond time, space, and personality.✨ Let the veil be lifted. Let the light in. Let the mystic within awaken. For more information about The Way of the Mystic, David Hoffmeister and Living Miracles events, visit https://www.the-christ.net/eventsRecorded live online on October 4, 2025, in Mexico.Follow us on:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/DavidHoffmeister Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ACIM.ACourseInMiracles Learn more about David & Living Miracles: https://livingmiraclescenter.orgLearn more about A Course in Miracles: https://ACIM.bizDavid's Spanish Youtube Channel is: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCP9Gw00CldPUmiu43y7fdWw
The Way of the Mystic – Session 3: Resign as Your Own TeacherIn this soul-stirring third session of The Way of the Mystic, David Hoffmeister responds to heartfelt questions from online participants, illuminating the path of surrender and divine guidance. With humor, clarity, and uncompromising metaphysical depth, David invites us to release our grip on planning and control, and instead embrace radical trust in the Holy Spirit. The central theme—How can I love my brother unconditionally without seeking approval?—unfolds into a profound teaching from A Course in Miracles: “Resign now as your own teacher.” Through this lens, David shares personal stories and spiritual insights that dismantle the ego's reliance on past learning and future projections, pointing us toward the present moment as the gateway to true healing. The session culminates in a deeply moving piano meditation led by Søren, Marcela, and Jessica, inspired by the prayers and contemplations of Frances Xu. This musical offering becomes a sanctuary of stillness, allowing listeners to rest in the “I Am” presence and receive the gentle guidance of Spirit.✨ Let go of the analytical mind. Let the melody of devotion carry you home. For more information about The Way of the Mystic, David Hoffmeister, and Living Miracles events, visit https://www.the-christ.net/eventsRecorded live online on October 5, 2025, in Mexico.Follow us on:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/DavidHoffmeister Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ACIM.ACourseInMiracles Learn more about David & Living Miracles: https://livingmiraclescenter.orgLearn more about A Course in Miracles: https://ACIM.bizDavid's Spanish Youtube Channel is: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCP9Gw00CldPUmiu43y7fdWw

We're taking it back to Abide Conference 2024 with a never-before-heard episode featuring one of our favorites — Fr. Blake Dubroc! This conversation is overflowing with laughter, tenderness, and truth as Fr. Blake shares about spiritual fatherhood and how being surrounded by women of faith draws out a deeper sense of delight rooted in the Father's heart. This episode captures the beauty of gentleness, healing, and the way God meets us right where we are — in our need, in our joy, and in our longing to be seen and loved. If you've ever needed a reminder that the Father delights in you, this one's for you.
Embracing Spiritual Unity and Unconditional Love with David, Urpi, Erik and SusannahIn the opening session for the online weekend revivals, 'The Way of the Mystic,' David and Urpi explore how a cherished community song, played by Erik at the beginning, symbolizes spiritual unity and unconditional love. They begin to comment on the five themes chosen in the weekly poll that underlie all the sessions this weekend. The talk focuses on the meaning of loving others without seeking approval, examining the mystical idea that true love transcends physical perception. It suggests that our usual view of others as separate, physical beings is illusory and proposes that genuine unity is spiritual, requiring us to see innocence in everyone. A childhood anecdote about imaginary threats highlights how deeply ingrained perceptions can be deceptive, ultimately urging us to question these perceptions and look beyond surface appearances. For more information about The Way of the Mystic, David Hoffmeister, and Living Miracles events, visit https://www.the-christ.net/eventsRecorded live on October 3, 2025, Online, Mexico.Follow us on:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/DavidHoffmeister Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ACIM.ACourseInMiracles Learn more about David & Living Miracles: https://livingmiraclescenter.orgLearn more about A Course in Miracles: https://ACIM.bizDavid's Spanish Youtube Channel is: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCP9Gw00CldPUmiu43y7fdWw

If you've been searching for Neville Goddard content lately, there's a high probability you've encountered fake AI-generated lectures without even knowing it. And here's the thing - I've had multiple people, sincere seekers, send me these videos thinking they've discovered some lost Neville lecture. They're excited, they're inspired, but they're being misled. Now, before you think this is going to be some anti-AI rant, let me stop you right there. I fully support AI technology. In fact, I believe AI is one of the most powerful tools we have for accelerating human consciousness. It's literally imagination made manifest - taking our thoughts and ideas and making them real faster than ever before in human history. AI is nothing more than a reflection of our collective mind and consciousness, and it's playing a pivotal role in helping humanity shift into what many call the new earth. But there's a problem. And it's a big one. Channels calling themselves "Neville Goddard Official" are pumping out AI-generated content, often without any disclosure that it's artificial. They're using voice cloning technology to make Neville say things he never said, teach concepts he never taught, and worst of all, they're diluting and distorting one of the most precise and revolutionary spiritual teachings of the modern era. I'm not coming at this as an outsider. I've read 336 authentic Neville Goddard lectures on my channel. Three hundred and thirty-six. I've created countless meditations based on his specific techniques. I've studied his exact language, his biblical interpretations, his personal stories. I started reading these lectures because the original recordings were often poor quality, and I was actually excited about the possibility of using AI to clean up those recordings. But that's not what's happening. What's happening is something entirely different, and it needs to be addressed.
At Oktane 2025, leaders from across the security ecosystem shared how identity has become the new front line in protecting today's AI-driven enterprises. As SaaS adoption accelerates and AI agents proliferate, organizations face an explosion of human and non-human identities—and with it, growing risks like misconfigured access, orphaned accounts, and identity-based attacks. In this special Enterprise Security Weekly episode, we bring together insights from top experts: Dor Fledel (Okta) explains how teams can gain visibility into AI agents, uncover risks, and enforce appropriate access controls. Alexander Makarov (Adyen) shares how a global fintech unified and streamlined identity with Okta, improving both security and employee experience across 200+ countries. Aaron Parecki (Okta) highlights the importance of open standards—like IPSIE, MCP, and A2A—for building secure, interoperable AI ecosystems and centralized control over AI-driven interactions. Heather Ceylan (Box) discusses how Box embeds AI into workflows to enhance data protection, even for highly regulated industries. Matt Immler (Okta) offers lessons from the field on strengthening defenses with behavioral monitoring, automation, and a security-first culture to counter attackers who now “log in” instead of hacking in. Nitin Raina (Thoughtworks) warns about AI-driven social engineering—from deepfakes to multi-channel phishing—and shares practical strategies like phishing-resistant MFA, zero-trust architecture, and better employee training. From open standards to privileged access management and AI-powered defense, these Oktane 2025 conversations explore how identity-driven strategies are shaping the future of enterprise security. When we face uncertainty, when life gets hard, when things happen that we can’t explain, we’ll often ask: Where is God? But every Christian should realize they are never alone. Jesus is with you. Pastor Greg Laurie shares more in this message. Notes: Focus verse - Genesis 22 Matthew 28:20 (NKJV)“Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Psalm 23:4 (NKJV)“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil; For You are with me;Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” Sometimes our feelings need to catch up with our faith. #1 Joseph was in a prison cell. He probably felt all alone and abandoned. He was there, not because he broke a law, but because he kept one—God’s law. God was in the prison cell with Joseph. Genesis 50:20 (NKJV)"You meant it for evil; but God meant it for good—to save many people alive.” #2 Let’s go from a prison to a palace and think of Esther. Queen Vashti, to her credit, refused. She would not be humiliated or objectified, not even by the king. Vashti is a role model for young girls and women today.Don’t ever let some guy reduce you to a mere object. You are a woman made in the image God. If you present yourself cheaply, don’t expect to be valued royally. A man needs to value you for who you are on the inside, not only the outside. The most attractive thing is to be a godly and principled woman. Through the providence of God, Esther became the queen of Persia. God is always at work in the life of the believer, every hour of every day. God is now here! Providence comes from the Latin prōvidentia; “pro” meaning "before" or "ahead of time” and “videntia” meaning “to see.” God is in control. #3 The story of Israel at the Red Sea.They were between a rock and a hard place. Exodus 14:13–14 (NLT) Exodus 14:13–14 (NLT) Colossians 1:16–17 Exodus 14:19 A Christophany is an appearance of Jesus in the Old Testament. John 8:56–58 (NKJV)"Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad." John 8:56–58 (NKJV)Then the Jews said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?" John 8:56–58 (NKJV)Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM!" Luke 24:27 The disciples on the Emmaus Road were literally listening to God incarnate describe His Old Testament appearances. Jesus didn’t begin in Bethlehem; He has always been. The story of redemption started a long time ago in a garden. The Christmas story begins with a tree: the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Adam and Eve sinned and lost that sweet fellowship with God. Genesis 3:8 (NLT)“When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the LORD God walking about in the garden.” We can never escape the presence of God. When you walk with God, it is a source of comfort. 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us.” James 1:14–15 (NLT)“Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow,it gives birth to death.” The Bible says, “Christ was slain from the foundation of the world.” Genesis 3:15 Pharaoh tried to exterminate the Jews starting with the Hebrew baby boys. Wicked Haman tried to have the Jews wiped off the face of the earth. King Herod hearing that one was born, “King of the Jews,”tried to kill Jesus, but that too failed. Nothing would stop Messiah from coming.Nothing will stop Christ from coming again either. #4 The story of Abraham and Isaac on Mount Moriah. Read Genesis 22 The two of them went together.Genesis 22:8 That is exactly what happened when Jesus went to the cross for us. This gives a glimpse of Calvary from the Father’s perspective, sacrificing His Son, His only Son. Genesis 22:11 Christ died in our place and absorbed the wrath of God. --- Learn more about Greg Laurie and Harvest Ministries at harvest.org. Bible StudyDon't just take our word for it . . . take His! We would encourage you to spend time examining the following Scriptures that shaped this sermon: .Sermon Notes:IntroductionIllustration: Gift wrapping → multiple boxes → unwrapping reveals more gifts.God gives Moses the gift of His name.Like unwrapping a gift, we discover multiple blessings within God's name.Context (Ex. 3:10–13)God calls Moses: “I will send you to Pharaoh.”Moses: “Who am I?” (hesitant, insecure).God's answer: “I will be with you… here is my name.”The Gift of God's Name – Five Blessings1. Presence (vv. 12, 14–15)Name: “I AM WHO I AM” → Yahweh (“HE IS”).God's most foundational truth: He exists, eternal, absolute. His presence goes with us. Pharaoh = nothing compared to Yahweh, the One Who Is.2. Personal (v. 15)God shares His covenant name, Yahweh.Illustration: King Charles → “Call me Chuck.”A privilege of intimacy. God's name = invitation into covenant relationship.3. Promises (vv. 16–17)A “good name” = trustworthy reputation (Prov. 22:1).God's name = tied to His promises.Example: Exodus 6 – “I am Yahweh… I will bring you out… I will redeem you… I am Yahweh.”Yahweh = Promise-making, Promise-keeping God.4. Power (vv. 19–21)Pharaoh will not let Israel go “unless compelled by a mighty hand.”Yahweh demonstrates power through plagues, Passover, Red Sea.Yahweh reigns over nations, nature, life, death.Subtle power too: influencing Egyptian hearts to give Israel gold & silver.5. Plan (John 8:58; Phil. 2:9–11)Yahweh was not the final revelation.Jesus claims: “Before Abraham was, I AM.”In Jesus, Yahweh's name is fulfilled and exalted.“At the name of Jesus every knee will bow…”Applications1. Cherish the Gift – Don't misuse the NameCommandment: “Do not take Yahweh's name in vain.” (Ex. 20:7)God's name is sacred → not to be used flippantly.Use His name with reverence, worship, love, gratitude.2. Call on the Name – Especially in MissionGod gave Moses His name to empower mission.Jesus: “Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:12–14)We carry the name of Jesus into brokenness, suffering, and mission.Discussion Questions:Someone has observed: "the larger God is in our hearts, the smaller our problems seem." Do you agree or disagree? How might the meaning of God's name "I AM/Yahweh" help us magnify the greatness of God?In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus teaches his disciples to pray "hallowed be your name." What does it mean to pray these words? How does it connect to the gift of God's name? What are different ways we can apply that prayer petition today? Can you think of times when God displayed his power in your life - either overtly or subtly?Give examples of misusing the gift of God's names (God, the LORD, Jesus, etc). Why is the context of mission important for asking for things in Jesus' name (see John 14:12-14)?Questions?Do you have a question about today's sermon? Join us as we worship the Lord, fellowship together, and continue our journey through the Gospel of John! In John 8 Jesus declares, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31-32). We will be unpacking this powerful statement as well as many other dynamic truths Jesus gives concerning who the sons of Abraham are, what it means for Abraham to have seen Christ's day, as well as one of Jesus's clearest declarations of divinity in all of Scripture—‘Before Abraham was, I AM!'

In this powerful episode of Reading with Your Kids, host Jed Doherty explores two remarkable stories of resilience, hope, and personal growth that will inspire parents and children alike. First, Paula Schneider, CEO of Susan G. Komen and breast cancer survivor, shares her deeply moving journey of creating "Love Stays Strong," a children's book designed to help families navigate serious illness conversations. Drawing from her personal experience battling triple-negative breast cancer, Schneider developed a compassionate tool to help parents communicate difficult health challenges to their children. Her book uses metaphorical imagery of seasonal changes and supportive animal communities to create a gentle, reassuring approach to discussing serious medical conditions. The episode then shifts to the inspiring story of Mychal Conley Jr., a young entrepreneur who refused to let a teacher's discouraging words limit his dreams. After being told that becoming a CEO was "unrealistic," Mychal transformed that negative experience into a multimedia mission. At just 19, he's launched a podcast interviewing business leaders, created a magazine connecting current and future entrepreneurs, and published "I Am a CEO: Realistic," a book encouraging young people to pursue their ambitions. Both stories share a common thread: the importance of believing in oneself and supporting children's dreams. Mychal's father, Mychall Sr., emphasizes the critical role parents play in "pumping life" into their children's aspirations, while Schneider highlights the power of open, honest communication during challenging times. Listeners will find hope, practical advice, and inspiration in these narratives. Whether facing health challenges or entrepreneurial dreams, the message is clear: with support, resilience, and belief in oneself, seemingly impossible goals can become reality. This episode launches our new series on the seven "I Am" statements of Jesus in the Gospel of John. Pastor Matt explores why these two words carried such weight that religious leaders tried to stone Jesus for blasphemy. Key Topics Understanding "I Am" - When Jesus said "I am," He used the same phrase God spoke to Moses at the burning bush (Exodus 3:14). This wasn't casual conversation - it was a direct claim to deity that His audience understood immediately. God's Perfect Timing - The 400 years between testaments saw God orchestrating history: Greek became the universal language, messianic hopes were rekindled, and Rome built roads that would carry the gospel across the world. The Distinguishing Factor - Jesus separates Christianity from every other world religion. He's not just a teacher or prophet - He claimed to be God in the flesh and the only way to salvation. As C.S. Lewis argued: Jesus is either a liar, a lunatic, or Lord. No Neutral Ground - "Who is Jesus?" demands an answer. Questions are welcome, but staying undecided is itself a decision. Three people trusted Jesus as Savior on Sunday, and we're praying for more throughout this series. Join us next week as we explore "I am the bread of life."
In this episode of the Jesus Everyday Podcast, Andrew McPheron and Jake Preston dive into John 6:22–40, where Jesus makes His first “I Am” statement: “I am the bread of life.”The crowds chase Jesus after the feeding of the 5,000—but not because they want Him. They want another miracle meal. Jesus, however, confronts their motives and points to something far greater: eternal life found only in Him.
