Want to launch a podcast in 2025? Apply to work with us here: https://top10podcasts.com/start▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬Today we are talking about monetizing your podcast during the holiday season. I promised to share my notes on the three tactics that drive listener engagement and encourage fast action. So, here we go!Tactic 1: Disappearing Episodes with a Flash Sale InsideThe idea is to create urgency by setting episodes to expire from your RSS feed after a specific time, encouraging listeners to act fast. Here are the steps to follow:Publish as a “Bonus Episode” with an expiration date (e.g., 24 hours) such that the episode and offer disappear after the set time.Set the episode to reach either only paid or non-paid subscribers, depending on your target audience. Include a clear link at the top of the show notes directing listeners to the offer page. For example, for Black Friday, offer a 10-hour, 50% discount on your Shopify store or suite of courses. Share the discount code within the episode, encouraging fast action before the episode disappears. Also, clearly state the URL for easy access, and duplicate the page to track traffic from the podcast episode accurately.Tactic 2: Price Increase CampaignUse your podcast to announce upcoming price increases, motivating listeners to purchase before the price goes up. You may create the following: CTAs: Dedicate call-to-actions (CTAs) at the beginning and middle of episodes, encouraging early engagement.Program Updates: Discuss new features and upgrades in specific episodes, explaining the added value of the price increase. Client Spotlights: Release mini-episodes or client interviews showcasing successful transformations and results.Sales Team Collaboration: Have your sales reps share these episodes with prospects or previous leads to prompt action. Exclusive Bonus: Offer an exclusive benefit for podcast listeners, such as a one-on-one onboarding call or special training, rewarding loyal listeners with added value.Tactic 3: Listicle Episodes with Affiliate LinksYour goal is to generate revenue by sharing valuable product recommendations through affiliate links. Listicles are easy to consume and provide value, which encourages listeners to check out recommended products. Here are some examples of effective listicles:Top 7 Software AI To Add to Your Christmas List5 Amazon Purchases That Instantly Enhance Your Podcast Studio3 Supplements I'm Buying for My Aging Parents to Keep Them HealthyHere is a bonus tip. Select products that resonate with your audience and include affiliate links in the show notes. Also, affiliate partnerships should be disclosed to maintain transparency with listeners.Listen to the episode for more details on how to implement these tactics effectively in your podcast. In This Episode:00:00 Introduction 00:41 Tactic 1: Disappearing episodes for flash sales 04:26 Tactic 2: Price increase campaigns 11:04 Tactic 3: Listicle episodes with affiliate links 12:50 Episode wrap-up and call to action ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Team Internet Group PLC (AIM:TIG, OTCQX:TIGXF) CEO Michael Riedl discusses the completion of the acquisition of Shinez, a digital content production and promotion company specialising in listicle-based articles with embedded advertisements. Riedl noted that the acquisition is immediately accretive to earnings, with an expected high single-digit EPS accretion for the year, even before accounting for synergies. He highlighted that Shinez attracts different customer groups early in the decision-making process, which complements Team Internet's existing product suite. With the inclusion of Shinez, Team Internet now covers the entire marketing conversion funnel, from initial awareness to final sale conversions, he added. Riedl also discussed future growth strategies, emphasizing the enhanced capability to target consumers at every stage of their decision-making journey, thus increasing shareholder value. He mentioned leveraging synergies such as cross-promoting products and integrating ad inventories. The acquisition strengthens Team Internet's relationship with significant internet players like Meta, providing potential spillover benefits. Looking ahead, Team Internet plans to deepen its involvement in social media and expand its network of demand-side partners to better tailor commercial offers to consumers. #TeamInternetGroup, #MichaelRiedl, #DigitalContent, #Acquisition, #Listicles, #OnlineMarketing, #EarningsGrowth, #BusinessStrategy, #MarketingFunnel, #EPSAccretion, #AdInventory, #BrandAwareness, #MetaPartnership, #TelAviv, #MediaBuying, #SocialMediaStrategy, #ConsumerJourney, #CorporateSynergies, #InvestorRelations, #MarketExpansion #ProactiveInvestors #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

EP 406 7 Steps To Creating Cornerstone Evergreen Articles

Dark Horse Entrepreneur

Play Episode Listen Later Feb 27, 2023 19:12

https://DarkHorseSchooling.com/podcat This conversation is about the importance of Cornerstone Content on websites. The host of the Dark Horse Entrepreneur Podcast, Tracy Brinkman, provides seven easy steps to creating these anchor pieces of content. She then explains that she has been in the coaching, course creation and online space since the 90s and is still learning. Tracy then encourages entrepreneurs, coaches and course creators to take action and learn tips from the Dark Horse Entrepreneur Podcast. She believes that driven entrepreneurs should start or restart their businesses with great marketing, personal, or business tips and results.     Cornerstone content is the key to growing a business into the empire it deserves to be. These articles provide the most important, complete information on the topic and should not be written with the goal of selling. They help to raise brand awareness, rank higher in search engine results, and attract prospects that can be nurtured into customers. Writing and publishing this content helps to position oneself as an authority in their industry and builds trust in the brand and its products. Ultimately, the goal is to help other people and build relationships.     Creating Cornerstone Content can be intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. By following seven easy steps, anyone can create content that will attract their ideal customers. Step one is to choose a topic. When deciding on a topic, it is important to consider if it aligns with your business and will attract customers, if it is something that would make your customers life easier, and if it interests you. If you choose a topic that you are passionate about and have a bit of knowledge on, it will be easier to write and optimize the content.   Creating content for your business can be an intimidating task, but with the right preparation and research, it doesn't have to be. The first step to creating great content is to do extra research which will help your prospects and customers. Research what your customers want to know, talk to existing customers, read posts, books, and interviews, and take copious notes to quote as sources. Once you have a plan, start outlining topics and subtopics, and then write the content. Make sure it is clear, concise, and genuinely helpful in solving one or more of your customer's problems. Also, include links from expert sources, build your keywords in naturally, use tools like Grammarly or Hemingway to make it easy to understand, and get a few people to read it in advance. Lastly, optimize your article with your primary keyword in the URL, title tag, and headline.   TIMESTAMPS   0:00:00   "Creating Core Content: 7 Easy Steps to Becoming an Authority in Your Field"   0:02:10   "Unlock the Power of Cornerstone Content to Build Your Business Empire"   0:04:17   "7 Steps to Creating Cornerstone Content for Your Business"   0:06:10   "Tips for Writing Effective Content"   0:12:08   "Optimizing Your Content for Search Engines: Tips for Improving SEO"   0:13:50   "Six Tips for Promoting Your Cornerstone Content"   0:16:39   Creating Cornerstone Content: 7 Tips for Successful SEO and Reader Engagement   HIGHLIGHTS   Contact every expert and website that you quoted inside your article and let them know about it. Some of them heck, many of them will tell others through their social media, right? Sometimes they'll even link to your content from whatever the article or whatever piece of content that you referenced that you used. They'll link them together. Now you're getting some of that Linked use. You might even consider investing a little paid promotion as well. You can reach a highly targeted audience this way and use the new traffic to further build your email list and becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Make it simple for visitors to share your content with others by adding social media buttons, share me links, email, all the little tricks.   Use your social media accounts to tell your followers about the article, right? Schedule social media posts several times a day for the first couple of days after you post that Cornerstone Content, and then periodiotically afterwards, re remind them. Use personalization whenever possible. Thank you, guys, all my sales folks. I did this amazing piece of content about handling objections, right? I drew blank there for a second. Whatever it might be, you can even take a snippet of this piece of content and use it as your social media content and say, hey, this is just one piece of this amazing piece of content. Put it out there, click the link down in the Show notes or whatever it is, and check out the full content, right?   So wherever your keyword you're trying to tweak for, you're trying to optimize for. Make sure it's an url in the title tag and in the headline. Ideally, the title should answer an exact question being asked in Google, so it might be part of your research early on. What questions are being asked on this topic? Create subheadings that hold keywords as well as other keywords being populated throughout your text.. This will help your readers and the search engines alike to recognize the relevance of your content. This search engine have gotten really smart over the past couple of decades. And so make sure you don't know we're not talking about keyword stuffing here. We're just talking about make sure it's relevant to the content you're trying to the questions you're trying to answer and the content you're trying to share.   Right? Tip number three plan your content. Now this is where the fun begins. You might be writing something called the Complete Guide to Blank whatever the Topic Is or everything you ever wanted to know about. Blank. Again, whatever your topic is or how to achieve blank whatever your topic is. Once you have a basic plan of what your article will achieve, start outlining your topics and your subtopics.. You might want to use a step by structure from beginning to end, or a list, like we talked about in episode 348, ways to Make Your Listicles Amazing. So you can create a listicle or whatever works best for the topic that you have chosen. Okay. By the way, you might want to go back to listen to episode 348 where we talked about listicles. Listicles are very popular. You see them all the time. Where it's like the top ten ways to X or the top whatever. Anyway, you know what I'm talking about. Anyway, I won't beat that one to death.   Please do not be intimidated into thinking that it's beyond the scope of your abilities to create this kind of content. Why? Because I'm about to break it down into seven easy steps. Here we go. Step number one pick your topic. There are three questions that you're going to want to consider when choosing a topic. Does it align with your business and will it attract your ideal customers? Right. Does it align with your business and will it attract your ideal customers? For example, let's say you're in the niche of stock investing. You don't want to create some cornerstone Content about buying a home.

He is a former Youtuber, who built up a following of more than a million subscribers to his channel Vagabrothers, which he created with his brother more than a decade ago. He talks about what that life was like, how exhausting it was, the ups and downs of YouTube, and what he is trying to do on Substack. He has a lot to say about making a living as a creator within this world of the internet and social media. Before YouTube fame he studied economics and worked in development in India, and sine the pandemic he has been living in Mexico City, where media reports about remote workers intensifying gentrification are frequent.I think a lot of everything we speak about and what I have been writing about in the newsletter is related to some degree. Globalization and the issues surrounding it, increasing inequality, division driven by algorithms. I personally have been trying to make sense of the economics of being a writer, which have been disastrous since content began moving towards to the internet, which basically began within a couple of years after I started making a living as a writer. Yet, it's more than just my own economics. How we live, where we live, and why we are living there and doing the things we are doing. Whether it's email, blogs, or social media posts, the number of content ideas you need is endless. Before I go further, I will say that having a strategy around your content is crucial for it to be successful. For social media posts? You don't have to and don't need original content in each of these places. Your original content should live at your site. That's where your content ideas are going to work for you most. The posts you do on social are the next step. If you're a coach or trainer with longevity, substance, and here for the long haul, those here now gone tomorrow posts are not what you want to invest your time and energy in. Spend time studying your customer. Know the experience you want them to have. Fifteen seconds on social is not the starting point. It's the result of knowing what to say to bring them to the next step already waiting, complete, and logical based on what they think, feel, and do now. But we all go dry or get distracted by life sometimes and it's nice to have a vault to go to. So, I'm giving you one here. Create a place – maybe for you it's a spreadsheet or Google doc where you and a team contribute with ideas. My hope is that these become the inspiration for a whole set of ideas for you. 00:00 Twelve Ways I Get Content Ideas 06:37 Listen to podcasts – outside of our industry and niche             What kind of treatment did they give the content? Pay attention to that. Is there a point, a story, an example? What's the rhythm and how did they organize it? 07:25 10 Most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)             What burns the most calories? 07:41 10 Questions You Wish They'd Ask (SAQs)             How do I exercise to lose fat based on how I feel right now? 08:02 Use AMA Post Round Up             Use the posts in Instagram, or create your own on any social media account. 08:47 Go Back to Old Blogs, Articles, podcasts, videos and create an “update” (or just get ideas) 09:55 Go Big with a list of tips, reasons, sources             These are usually lists. Things that support weight loss that aren't exercise: sleep, drinking water, eating the right foods, etc.             Compile your small lists into this big list (then link to it) 11:16 Go Deep with one of the big items             Take one thing from that list and explain it in depth. When there are 5 or 10 or 20 things, give them one and go deep and explore it.             e.g. Why drinking water is so important. List 10 things it does for you or the obstacle it is when you don't. Those are two posts. 13:10 Use what's already news and create a comment or reaction             NYTimes articles are a great source of information. Recently Today compared nutrition status of white potato to sweet potatoes. What is your reaction to it? Set up alerts so you are first to know when new research is shared on your topic. 15:52 Create Top 10 lists or Listicles               Top 10 exercises for _________ (correcting a problem)             Top 10 reasons ________ (you're tired, you're gaining fat) The Ultimate FREEBIE Guide for Health & Fitness Pros 18:24 Create complimentary content necessary for making the fitness work What else do they need in order for exercise to be most beneficial? Create content ideas about that. One content idea is sleep. Another is protein. Another is alkalinity. 18:52 Talk About an Elephant in the Room in your niche or our industry The barrier to entry. Recently it's been in the news that there's a shortage of trainers and coaches in the fitness industry. What's that mean to the quality of trainers and what do you think of it? 19:25 Round up interview of unique experts that you reach out to Biggest post-pandemic problems for your niche, or the recommendations they give on a certain topic, e.g. bone density: supplements, foods to eat and to avoid. In an upcoming episode, I'm going to talk about how to stay focused, organized, and follow through on these great ideas, because let's face it… a lot of us are “quick starts” or we're so analytical that we don't go into action. Creating great content is still vitally important for merchants as the most successful eCommerce stores get 60% of the traffic from organic searches. It is essential not to put your eggs in one basket by depending too much on organic or paid traffic. How to create great content Copywriters research keywords using tools like Hrefs. They then construct posts which include these keywords and publish them on a blog. The recommended length is 1400 words, broken up with other types of content such as images, quotes, tables etc. Breaking up slabs of text increases dwell rate and reduces bounce rate. Always write content which is focused on readers and not search engines. Google will track which post are getting read and give these higher search positions. What are the best kinds of content to publish Successful types of content include: Listicles. E.g. Top 10 lists. 101 ways to XYZ. Great for inspiring customers Answer to questions Google likes posts that answer the questions asked in the article title. It also likes multimedia. How often to publish? Once a week is the minimum frequency of publishing for which you should aim. Google says in its website guide that sites should write 'well and often'. How to create content in-house or find a writer? Options include: In-house writer. Difficult to maintain creativity. They tend to burn out Agencies. Have quality processes in place and are good for companies looking to scale. AI. AI content creation has its place tends to sound like robots How to get content read? What are the best places to post content? Organic social does not generate much traffic anymore. Some companies will have separate organic and paid social accounts as organic traffic may be reduced if paid social is also used on the account. How to measure success? A successful article will show up for 200 keywords, an unsuccessful article 20 keywords and a really successful article, 2000 keywords How long does it all take? Stores with about 1m+ visitors a year should see content ranking in 2 weeks. Brand new stores will take several months.
