Dr. Boros holds a Doctor of Medicine (M. D.) degree from the Albert Szent-Györgyi School of Medicine, Szeged, Hungary and is a retired Professor of Pediatrics, Endocrinology and Metabolism of the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine. Dr. Boros is the co-inventor of the stable isotope-based dynamic metabolic profiling (SIDMAP) technology, which is a functional biochemistry tool used for detailed biochemical and deutenomics related drug testing, library screening, lead optimization and in vitro and in vivo phenotype profiling. The core technology involves studying natural and disease/drug induced variations in stable non-radiating stable 13C (carbon) and 2H (deuterium) isotope distribution patterns and cross talk among metabolites in living systems. He also established mitochondrial quantum vacuum as the prime driving force of all life related energy producing biochemical events. These occur via the quantum destabilization of hydrogen ions, i. e. protons, in structured water of mitochondrial nano-confinements that are compromised by deuterium; hence the regulation of deuterium (deutenomics, human deutenome project) is a critical process to maintain health and longevity.Dr. Boros trained as a house staff in his medical school in gastroenterology after receiving a research training fellowship from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.  Dr. Boros was a visiting Scholar at the Essen School of Medicine in Germany and also worked as a Research Scientist at the Ohio State University, Department of Surgery.  Dr. Boros is the recipient of the C. Williams Hall Outstanding Publication Award from the Academy of Surgical Research of the United States (1997), the Richard E. Weitzman Memorial Research Award from the University of California (2001), the Excellence in Clinical Research Award from the General Clinical Research Center at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center (2004) and Public Health Impact Investigator Award of the United States Food and Drug Administration (2011).  Dr. Boros serves as an associate editor for the journals Springer Nature- Scientific Reports, Medicine, Pancreas, Molecules and Metabolomics.SHOWNOTES:

(2:00) Vinnie describes what he heard in the 1980s about ketamine. (2:45) Ketamine has a lot of medical uses. (6:00) originally an anesthetic used for the military has been in use since the 1960s also used in a very controlled manner and alongside therapy for depression cases and eating disorders It creates a dissociative effect for some people. But beware: the ketamine found on the street is a very different species than the medical-grade and clinically controlled ketamine! Low Carb Diets and the Benefits of Ketosis What are Johnathan's thoughts on low-carb and ketogenic diets? (28:00) He studies and measures the effects of ketones on traumatic brain injuries. Exogenous ketones (salts, esters) may help, but they are only a supplement and are not a replacement for a good, ketogenic diet. (35:00) The only exception may be to help boost cancer treatment. They discuss the ketogenic diet and treating cancer. (37:00) Johnathan has examples of the keto diet and exogenous ketones helping personal friends. Vinnie talks about how he has been addressing his recent recurrence of leukemia, after being cancer-free for 17 years. They discuss brain health regarding glioblastoma. They share two different stories, with very different endings. (45:00) It is concerning for patients to be advised to bulk up or gain weight before chemo by eating cakes, cookies, and other junk food! (49:00) Innovation in Treating Pain They discuss percutaneous hydrotomy treatments; he explains what they are and how it is done. (54:00) Albert Szent-Györgyi states that healing always involves moving energy. (1:00:00) Cycling has been a big part of Johnathan's repertoire as well. In today's CRUZAMENTO Podcast, André Correia e Daniel Guedelha talked with Ron DePinho who delves into his contributions to cancer research and innovation, emphasizing the transformative potential of biotechnology in this critical field. His work is dedicated to advancing our understanding of cancer biology, enabling the development of more precise diagnostic tools and targeted therapies. Through his efforts, he aims to revolutionize the way we approach cancer treatment, with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes and quality of life. Additionally, Ron de Pinho actively engages in educating influential figures such as the President of the United States and the Pope, advocating for policies that support the advancement of biotechnology in healthcare and sustainability. His dedication to both research and advocacy solidifies his position as a leading figure in the biotech industry. Ronald A. DePinho, M.D. is currently past president and distinguished university professor of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research has focused on the fundamental mechanisms driving cancer and aging and the clinical application of such knowledge to prevent and treat disease. Dr. DePinho studied biology at Fordham University, where he graduated class salutatorian, and received his M.D. degree with distinction in microbiology and immunology from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He performed his residency and postdoctoral training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. DePinho's independent career began at Einstein as the Feinberg Senior Faculty Scholar in Cancer Research and an ACS Research Professor. He then joined the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School where he was the founding Director of the Belfer Institute for Applied Cancer Science and a Professor of Medicine and Genetics at Harvard. As president of MD Anderson, Dr. DePinho conceived and launched the Moon Shots Program, a goal-oriented comprehensive effort designed to accelerate declines in cancer incidence and mortality. This initiative has yielded practice-changing advances in cancer and inspired the national cancer moonshot under President Biden. He also elevated MD Anderson's research and graduate programs, recruited many world class faculty including National Academy Members and its first Nobel Prize. To improve cancer care beyond MD Anderson, he launched and assembled a network of cancer institutions in 24 countries, reaching one-third of the human population. As a researcher, he has published over 400 articles, books and chapters that have advanced our understanding of cancer, aging and degenerative disorders which have led to clinical advances including new cancer drugs and diagnostics. His most notable discoveries include elucidation of the core molecular pathway for aging, determination of the basis for the intimate link between advancing age and increased epithelial cancer incidence, establishment of the central role of telomeres in cancer genome instability, discovery of Sin3 and linkage of sequence specific transcription factors and chromatin regulators, demonstration that aging itself can be reversed which led to new therapeutic strategies for aging and age-related diseases including Alzheimer's Disease. To translate these basic discoveries, he founded 9 private and publicly traded biotechnology companies and served as an advisor or director for biotech and large biopharma companies focused on oncology. His public service includes advisory and directorship roles for AACR and the NIH, as well as the Vatican and several countries. He is chairman and co-founder a non-profit, OPA Health (previously, Unite to Prevent Cancer) whose mission is disease prevention in underserved communities. As an advocate, he was a key instigator in the bipartisan bill raising the age of tobacco purchase to 21 (T21) and the bipartisan Cures Act. He is Vice Chair of the BOD for Act For NIH, a non-profit advocacy organization to garner bipartisan support for the NIH resulting in an additional $14.9B to the base budget and restoring the NIH budget following years of inflationary decline. For his fundamental contributions to cancer and aging and to healthcare, he has been recognized with numerous honors and awards. He was named one of the 100 most influential healthcare leaders, according to Modern Healthcare. His honors include the Melini Award for Biomedical Excellence, the American Society for Clinical Investigation Award, the Biomedicum Helsinki Medal, Albert Szent-Györgyi Prize, AACR Clowes Award, American-Italian Foundation Prize, among others. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and the National Academy of Science, and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Association of the Advancement of Science and the American Association of Cancer Research. He received Fordham University's McMahon Memorial Award for Distinguished Public Service, honorary degrees from Harvard University and Hofstra University, and the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. For his work to improve the health of Portugal's people, Dr. DePinho was recognized by its president with the highest commendation, the Order of Saint James of the Sword. I'm joined by Morley Robbins, a brilliant man who I've followed for years and wields one of the best informed perspectives on nutrition and biochemistry in the world.  He's a renowned expert in iron, magnesium, and especially, copper – how they interact in our bodies and how misunderstood they are in our society. This is copper like you've never seen it before. After you hear this one, you too, will be surprised at the relative anonymity of this truly amazing and multifunctional mineral. We also unpack the truth behind widespread anemia misdiagnosis, the challenge of understanding and deciphering the loud voices of health gurus from all across the spectrum, good sources of copper in food and supplements, and so much more.  We spend the last hour studying my own blood work, uncovering a few numbers I can be proud of and a few others that require further research to understand. Dr Gábor Somlyai graduated as a biologist from the University of Szeged in 1982. Between 1982 and 1990 he worked for the Department of Plant Pathology, Plant Protection Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He had a scholarship from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences while studying for his PhD and defended his thesis in molecular biology in 1988. Dr Somlyai spent six months at the Georg-August University in Göttingen on a DFG scholarship after receiving his PhD. He followed that with a postdoctoral fellowship in the field of genetic engineering and gene mapping at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. In the wake of the Hungarian, Nobel-prize winning scientist Albert Szent-Györgyi – who said that the true cause of cancer should be looked for at the sub-molecular level – Gábor began his examining the biological importance of naturally occurring deuterium as a senior research fellow at the Hungarian Institute of Oncology in 1990. In 1993 Gabor established HYD Ltd. for Research and Development (now HYD LLC. for Cancer Research and Drug Development) to carry out cancer research and drug development based on the proprietary procedure called deuterium depletion. Dr Somlyai served as the scientific director of HYD Ltd. between 1993 and 1997 before becoming the CEO of the company. In 2012 he also began serving as the General Director of HYD's parent company, HYD Pharma Inc. His book, Defeating Cancer!, was published in Hungary in 2000. It has since been published in Romania, Japan, China, South-Korea and the U.S.A. Gábor is a holder of numerous international patents, an author of more than 40 scientific publications, and is a highly sought-after speaker at international conferences.   Affiliate Links: ✅X3 bar system with discount code "DRCHAFFEE" https://www.kqzyfj.com/click-100676052-13511487 ✅THE CARNIVORE BAR: Discount Code "Anthony" for 10% off all orders! https://the-carnivore-bar.myshopify.com/?sca_ref=1743809.v3IrTuyDIi ✅CARNIVORE CRISPS: Discount Code "DRCHAFFEEMD" for 10% off all orders! www.carnivorecrisps.com ✅Shop Amazon https://www.amazon.com/shop/anthonychaffeemd?ref=ac_inf_hm_vp   Contact and Follow Dr Chaffee: ✅PATREON for early releases, bonus content, and weekly Zoom meetings https://www.patreon.com/AnthonyChaffeeMD ✅Sign up for our 30-day carnivore challenge and group here! https://www.howtocarnivore.com/ ✅INSTAGRAM: @anthonychaffeemd www.instagram.com/anthonychaffeemd/ ✅TWITTER: @Anthony_Chaffee ✅TIKTOK: @AnthonyChaffeeMD ✅Apple Podcast: The Plant Free MD https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/the-plant-free-md-podcast/id1614546790 ✅Spotify: The Plant Free MD https://open.spotify.com/show/0WQtoPLuPMWWm3ZT3DYXzp?si=PPc2rXZzQXuzjIRK__SEZQ ✅To Sign up for a personal consultation with me, you can use my Calendly link below to schedule an appointment: ✅60 minute consultation https://calendly.com/anthonychaffeemd/60-minute-consultation ✅For collaborations, please email me at the below address. We're diving in the deep end of one of my absolute favorite subjects today, folks, with the esteemed Dr. Gerald Pollack. Dr. Pollack's expertise in water, specifically, what he's called “fourth phase” water, is absolutely mind blowing stuff – and changes how we might think about this critically important and ever-present natural substance. Dr. Pollack is firm in his standing as what some might determine as a traditional scientist. So, while he is kind to entertain some of my more adventurous theories, his perspective is really strongly rooted in scientific method, testing, and repeatability – an important POV to be sure. Still, what he presents in this conversation is truly paradigm breaking stuff. Given his stance as a by-the-book scientist, his EZ water takeaways carry even more weight and urge even more curiosity. Join your host Tracy Duhs as she interviews Dr. Laszlo G. Boros, recognized expert of metabolic water biochemistry and deuterium effects in health and disease.  In this episode Tracy ponders how upgrading our mitochondrial potential to produce our own metabolic water may be paramount to the water that we’re drinking. Dr. Boros educates us about how we not only produce, but also recycle water in our mitochondria. He then introduces us to only drink water when we are thirsty because drinking too much water can interfere with the body's ability to recycle the low deuterium water we’re producing!  Tracy and Dr. Boros delve into Tritium and the destructiveness of this rare, radioactive isotope, which is three times the size of hydrogen. They discuss how the oldest populations lived in higher altitudes with low deuterium content, thus, living well over 100 years. Stay tuned to capture how this discussion leads them to consider why it is important to begin designing a better future for humanity.    “Our most efficient deuterium depletion is in grass, it's called photosynthesis which breaks water allowing hydrogen to be used for building organic molecules or organic material.” - Dr. Laszlo G. Boros   About Dr. Laszlo G. Boros: Dr. Boros holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the Albert Szent-Györgyi School of Medicine, Szeged, Hungary and is currently a Professor of Pediatrics, Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine. Dr. Boros is the co-inventor of the targeted 13C tracer fate association study (TTFAS) platform to study the oncoisotope role of deuterium and its depletion (deupletion) by mitochondrial matrix water exchange reactions to prevent oncoisotopic cell transformation by deuterium. He also established mitochondrial quantum vacuum as the prime driving force of all life related energy producing biochemical events via the quantum destabilization of hydrogen ions, i.e. protons in water and gas that are compromised by deuterium, hence deuterium depletion is a critical process to maintain health and longevity   Connect with Dr. Boros! Kriben Govender (Honours Degree in Food Science and Technology) and James Shadrach (Honours Degree in Psychology) have a groundbreaking discussion with Dr Gabor Somlyai on the role that the hydrogen isotope, deuterium plays in the growth of cancer cells and using deuterium depleted water as a cancer treatment. We also discuss using deuterium depleted water as a cancer prevention strategy and other benefits like improved gut health and athletic performance.     Bio:   Dr Gábor Somlyai graduated as a biologist from the University of Szeged in 1982. In 2012 he also began serving as the General Director of HYD’s parent company, HYD Pharma Inc. Topics discussed:    Explanatory journalism in a world full of new information New Science of the Microbiome The Ecology of the body The Human Microbiome Project Definition of the Microbiome Hydrogen/ Deuterium Ratio and Cancer Growth Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, Could Solving the Cancer riddle be sub-molecular? Mitochondria with a Neurosurgeon Co-Host:It's time to take it back and reconnect to nature. Remove ourselves from our devices and take care of one of the most important surface areas on our bodies. Our eyes. Opening our eyes to a whole new world is today's co-host, Dr. Jack Kruse (http://jackkruse.com) . Jack is a Neurosurgeon and an optimal health educator. Jack goes beyond Biohacking to Mito-hacking and looks at Mitochondria and health at a quantum perspective. This episode will give you a new found light of your surroundings. [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SYSPlQa5eY] On This Mitochonria Episode You Will Hear:[spp-timestamp time="02:22"] How health works from a quantum perspective, utilizing light, water, and magnetism. What you will learn from Jacks blog is that food and exercise are not even critical components, there are things that are way more fundamental that drive the process. Jack started with the Quilt Document. He teaches us the power and essential necessity of health Mitochondria in our bodies. When Jack started the blog in 2011, he started with relatively simple things which let to him increasing the content in 2013. That's when people began really getting interested in what he was saying. Most people thought he was crazy when he started. Light, Water, and Magnetism are the three things that you need to link back to in your own life to understand where you are making the mistakes. [spp-timestamp time="06:13"] Jack has gone past Biohacking, he labels himself as a Mito-hacker to focus on the importance of our Mitochondria. Jack use's a car analogy to describe the difference between Biohacking and Mito-hacking. [spp-timestamp time="09:31"] Melatonin is made in your eyes first before your brain. [spp-timestamp time="11:36"] Jack is wearing blue light blocking glasses during the interview to protect his eyes and Mitochondria health. The four surfaces of the body that are important to protect are the eyes, skin, gut and lung surface. The single most important is your eyes. Your eyes drive all growth and metabolism pathways in the brain through the central retinal pathway. [spp-timestamp time="14:51"] We regenerate Melanopsin Receptors during the day when we are awake. [spp-timestamp time="19:25"] Every protein in your body is a hydrated semi-conductor. Albert Szent-Györgyi discovered this in the 1940's. The key to life is in an electron. [spp-timestamp time="23:10"] It took Jack years to implement the knowledge he acquired to finally connecting the dots. Diet and exercise was not working for Jack. He was getting bigger and decided to think about it differently. Jack to a trip to Italy to see Michelangelo's David. He looked up at him and that was the moment he realized the key was Circadian Biology. After a ton of research, Jack stood up in front of his family and said he was going to lose weight by eating more and exercising less, just by controlling his environment better. He done that for three months and he lost 77lbs. He continued on and in the first year, he lost 133lbs total. [spp-timestamp time="29:34"] If you want to improve your sleep, the number one thing you can do is go camping. When camping you are around trees that are making huge amounts of oxygen also you are around infra-red light from the fire, which also helps your mitochondria. Your mitochondria is destroyed by light frequencies. [spp-timestamp time="34:31"] Training indoors under blue light is counter intuitive to your workout. Blue light negatively impacts your Mitochondria and a whole lot more. [spp-timestamp time="35:40"] The retina in your eye lets about 1% of UV light through. It filters the light down as we need very little to run. [spp-timestamp time="40:00"] When Jack met Ruben Salinas and the Stanford glove [spp-timestamp time="45:32"] Grounding. We need that connection with nature. [spp-timestamp time="48:26"] Your environment is more important than the fuel
