Lately, House Music has been crossing over into the mainstream, with the excellent Nic Fanciulli and Robert Courois track "Set Me Free" sitting atop Beatport's Top 100 and trending on many Spotify dance playlists. However, the song that's got us all worked up at Party Favorz is the opening track, "Let's Go" by Jaden Bojsen. This track is ripe for remixes, and while I've seen some floating around, I'm not certain if they're official. I'm calling attention to this song because it channels late '80s and early '90s House Music, perfectly setting the tone for most of this set. I fully expect it to feature on our next Dance Club set (dropping soon), as I want to push it hard. In the meantime, be sure to add it to your Spotify and Apple Music playlists. While this set sticks to our current House floor favorites, there's a good mix of Disco House and even some French House we're really into at the moment, giving it a nice balance. A personal favorite of mine is "Delicious" by Risk Assessment, which lifts the Acid House classic "Theme From S.E.X. Express," slows it down to a slinky 120 BPM, and throws in some classic Deee-lite riffs. If you know, you know. If you don't — you'll be into it soon enough. This set has been on heavy rotation in my car because I can't get enough of it. It just hits all the right notes, and I think even those who aren't typically fans of our Funky House series will enjoy it. That's all I've got for your weekend pleasure. Until next time…ENJOY! ART OF ANARCHY is one of those rare bands that doesn't play by rules, except for the ones they break. “Compromise" and "playing it safe" are terms that don't exist in the band's vocabulary, pulverizing raw talent is what this band has always relied on, along with artistic worlds of illusion and sound. The band has entered into a Renaissance rebirth with a darker and more sinister edge that will reinforce the "anarchy" in ART OF ANARCHY.Original founding members Jon Votta (guitar), Vince Votta (drums), and guitarist Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal (former Guns N' Roses / Sons Of Apollo) welcome the talents of vocalist Jeff Scott Soto (former Yngwie Malmsteen / Sons Of Apollo) and bassist Tony Dickinson (SOTO / Trans-Siberian Orchestra) into this new formation. The band returns with their comeback album Let There Be Anarchy, which is a reflection of a modern society. With epic songs pushing the eight-minute mark, listeners will be taken to places that they may already be, are going to, or can only imagine. With the band's new lineup, the next chapter in AOA has just begun!Art of Anarchy also recently released their latest video, "Die Hard." "The message is clear," the band commented in a joint statement. "If we must die, then we will all 'Die Hard'!"The "Die Hard" video notably stars Charlie Gillespie as "The Prince of Anarchy." The Canadian actor and singer is best known for playing Luke Patterson in the Netflix series Julie and the Phantoms.

David Bowie – "Let's Dance"

SWR1 Meilensteine - Alben die Geschichte machten

Play Episode Listen Later Apr 10, 2023 70:16

The ""Billie Jean"" single reached No. 1 in 10 countries in the spring of 1983, including seven consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 - becoming the second-highest selling single in America that same year."Billie Jean" was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America on April 4, 1983, and Platinum on February 4, 1989. The song won two Grammy Awards for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance - Male, as well as an American Music Award for Favorite Single - Pop/Rock and was also named the Single of the Year on The Village Voice Pazz & Jop critics' poll in 1983.The short film featured a paparazzo attempting to photograph Jackson as he danced through an urban landscape. A specially created set featured steps and sidewalk tiles that lit up underneath Michael's feet. It is here that fans first saw some of Michael's best-known dance moves, such as spinning and landing on his toes. Many of Michael's steps and mannerisms in the video would become forever associated with The King of Pop.When the chorus hit.he sprung into this dance that was unlike anything I'd ever seen, director Steve Barron recounted of Jackson's choreography in the video. "It was just extraordinary, instinctive. He pulled it all together and turned it into what we saw.The camera literally steamed up, the eyepiece steamed up, because of my heat from what I was seeing." Barron also recalled the crew breaking into spontaneous applause after Michael finished dancing. The "Billie Jean" short film made history as the first video by a black artist to be played in heavy rotation on MTV, then in its second year. In 1992, the short film was inducted into the Music Video Producers Hall of Fame. MTV ranked "Billie Jean" as the 35th greatest music video of all time in 1999, one of three entries of Jackson's on the chart alongside "Thriller" and "Beat It."#MichaelJackson #BillieJean #ThrillerTHE 80's MONTAGES FLASHBACK AUSSIE COMMERCIAL M&Ms Australian Ad 1980s - Today's  TV Commercial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwZ9mf0FJcoPrince - Little Red Corvette (Official Music Video)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0KpfrJE4zw"Little Red Corvette" from '1999' (1982)☔️ Listen to more Prince here https://lnk.to/PrinceStream Watch all the official Prince videos here http://bit.ly/PrinceVideography Subscribe to the Prince channel and “ring the bell” to turn on notifications http://bit.ly/SubscribeToPrinceFollow Prince:☔️ Website https://prince.com/ Prince Store https://store.prince.com Facebook https://www.facebook.com/prince/ Instagram https://www.instagram.com/prince/ Twitter https://twitter.com/princeExplore the Official Prince Playlists:The Prince Videography http://bit.ly/PrinceVideographyPrince: Live Performances http://bit.ly/PrinceLiveOnYouTubePrince ♡ Music is Medicine https://bit.ly/MusicIsMedicinePrince / MPLS https://bit.ly/PrinceMLPS#PrinceRogersNelson #Prince #Prince4EverBananarama - Cruel Summer (Official Video)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9ml3nyww80Bananarama - Cruel Summer (Official Video)Listen to “Cruel Summer” - https://Bananarama.lnk.to/CruelSummerGet your vinyl copy of the album "Bananarama" released 1984 - https://Bananarama.lnk.to/AlbumStoreIDFollow BananaramaFacebook https://Bananarama.lnk.to/FacebookInstagram https://Bananarama.lnk.to/InstagramTwitter https://Bananarama.lnk.to/TwitterStore https://Bananarama.lnk.to/StoreLondon RecordsFacebook https://londonrecords.lnk.to/FacebookInstagram https://londonrecords.lnk.to/InstagramTwitter https://londonrecords.lnk.to/TwitterYoutube https://londonrecords.lnk.to/YTSubscribe#Bananarama #CruelSummerNENA | 99 Luftballons [1983] [Offizielles HD Musikvideo]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fpu5a0Bl8eY#nenavideos #99luftballons #99redballoons #original▶︎ https://www.nena.de▶︎ https://shop.nena.de/▶︎ Den NENA Youtube Kanal kannst du hier direkt abonnieren: https://nena.lnk.to/yt-sub▶︎ https://www.instagram.com/nena_official▶︎ https://www.facebook.com/NENAofficial▶︎ NENA auf Spotify: https://spoti.fi/3GoiJyG▶︎ NENA auf Apple Music: https://apple.co/2Zrrc2Y▶︎ NENA auf Amazon Music: https://amzn.to/3Bp4m9s ▶︎ NENA auf Deezer: https://deezer.com/artist/2211Spandau Ballet - True (HD Remastered)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AR8D2yqgQ1UOfficial video of Spandau Ballet performing 'True', the title track from their 1983 third album 'True'. 40 Years - The Greatest Hits out now @ https://lnk.to/SpandauBallet-GH40Spandau Ballet are one of Britain's great iconic bands having sold over 25 million records, scored numerous multi-platinum albums and amassed 23 hit singles across the globe since their humble beginnings as a group of friends with dreams of stardom in the late 1970s. Mott the Hoople's Verden Allen new album, let's do bubblegum with 1910 FruitGum Company's Frank Jeckell and meet Aussie icon, John Williamson

Welshman, VERDEN ALLEN founded the British hard rock band, MOTT THE HOOPLE in the early 70's. The band was a mix of glam, metal and attitude that was bolstered by Ian Hunter's clever and thoughtful songwriting. Mott The Hoople had a tough, muscular sound but their lack of mainstream success meant its members inevitably splintered apart. Most famous for a song given to them by David Bowie, this week Verden recounts those early days and previews his latest solo album. The 1910 FRUIT GUM COMPANY has been credited with launching the craze known as bubblegum music and they certainly found an enthusiastic audience with fans looking for something sweeter than the edgy rock music of the late 60's. History has it that the group consisted of session musicians but 1910's band leader, FRANK JECKELL says they were railroaded into playing bubblegum music and this is totally untrue. I caught up with Frank in New Jersey this week to discover that 1910 is still alive, well and playing to crowds today. He's one of Australia's most iconic singer songwriters who's helped give the country a voice and made millions of Aussies proud to be just that. JOHN WILLIAMSON boasts fans of all ages but I learned this week that his biggest support base is actually young Aussie males. Guys like Ned who asked me to bring John onto the show. Even if you dislike the rather quirky music, meeting John will give you a sense of his passion and an understanding of the influence he still exerts today. Join me? And don't forget it you'd like to 'request a guest' simply send me a message through the website www.abreathoffreshair.com.au I'll track down and find anyone you'd like to hear from - as long as they were making music in the 60's, 70's or 80's! https://linktr.ee/abreathoffreshair

Party Favorz is back with our latest Peak Hour set featuring the biggest Tech House, Bass House and Electro House tunes currently on our radar with "Let's Go Dancing." This set will fuel your late night parties and is perfect for a intense workout. While there are few surprises here — there are a few tracks that come out of leftfield. Most notable of these is The Sponges "Jerry Brain." The track is considered Bass House but is really more of a Glitch Funk track that jerks you back and forth with a unexpected funky twist that's hard to put into words. I'm fairly confident in stating that there's no other song like it in this set. By infusing modern synths, bass with funky house — The Sponges have set the bar for the future of electronic music. Honestly, I haven't been this excited about a single song since DJ Kid Stretch's breakbeat classic "Get Away" as remixed by Basement Freaks. I may even resurrect in a future set because that song is fresh as when it was first released. I may end up taking a deep dive to see who else is recreating fresh sounds that aren't getting enough attention because I'm banking there's a lot out there. Stay tuned to see what I turn up at a later date... Until then ENJOY! Album: Let's Go Dancing Artists: Various Genre: Tech House, Electro House, Bass House Length: 02:39:18 1. Kill Your Heroes feat.

Lately, Party Favorz has been multi-tasking and about to wrap a month(s) long process of cleaning up the backend of the website and streamlining everything to keep the Google gods happy. I am currently working on a standalone app for the website that you can install on your desktop or mobile device for quick and easy access while receiving alerts about new episodes. Cool, huh? In the interim, I'm bringing y'all the latest and greatest from the disco gods to your happy ears. Let's Go Dancin' retains all the funky house elements of previous efforts but it's much more polished, a little laidback and reminds me of music you'd hear in an upscale bar while mingling and sipping on martinis. There's a plethora of classic disco samples and some reworks along with "Found Love" by Double Dee and Dany. If you remember or haven't gotten to it yet — that was a #1 Billboard Dance Club song from 1990 and recently featured on The Ultimate 90's House Music Classics [1988 – 1991] Vol. 2. Over the years, it's been updated several times and David Penn spins his 2020 magic while staying true to the original. [youtube v="KI4FBXm4OHU"] Originally, I thought I wasn't going to have enough tracks to fill this out but boy was I wrong. It clocks in at 3 hours of pure disco bliss. After having previewed it multiple times — I can assure you discophiles will not be disappointed. The plan is to drop the next Peak Hour set next week followed by (fingers crossed) HW20, which is our annual Dance Club Halloween set. Sorry, no new Circuit Tribal House sets until the Holiday Edition because there's just not enough at the moment and I'm not going to release a set featuring all DJ Dario and DJ Furi Drums who have both become their own automated remix machines. Cool weather keeps making an appearance and leaves just as quickly so it feels like fall and winter are going to be a hit or miss around the southeast. As long as temps remain reasonable and there's plenty of sunshine — I'm golden. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend. Until the next time...ENJOY! Yesterday's post on voting was NOT the urgent notice I had promised you folks. That was more of a stream of conscious choice I made at the last moment urging y'all to vote. I'll be posting upcoming changes to the subscription plans tomorrow so be sure to keep an eye out for that because it WILL most certainly effect many of you. Please stay tuned... Our latest set, "Let's Go Dancin'," showcases a sophisticated yet relaxed vibe that could easily become the backdrop of an upscale bar where the martinis flow just as smoothly as the conversations. A standout track in this collection is "Found Love" by Double Dee and Dany, a 1990 chart-topper which also appeared on our Ultimate 90's House Music Classics collection. David Penn reimagines this timeless classic with a 2020 touch, while staying reverent to the original. And let's not overlook the other gems: "One Man" by Chanelle & Eric Kupper, "Wa Wa Wesss" by Gilgamesh & Jim West, and "Breakaway" by Grant Nelson all contribute to a set that's nothing short of disco ecstasy. Initially, there were concerns about not having enough material, but after multiple listens, it's clear those worries were unfounded. Clocking in at three solid hours, "Let's Go Dancin'" offers up a flawless flow of House, Jackin' House, NuDisco, and Disco House beats that'll resonate with any aficionado of the genre. Looking ahead, our next Peak Hour set is right around the corner, followed by the eagerly awaited HW20 Halloween set. Unfortunately, Circuit Tribal House aficionados will have to wait a little longer; there's not enough fresh content in that sub-genre to justify a new set right now. As the weather in the southeast keeps us guessing, fluctuating between fall vibes and fleeting warmth, we're all for embracing whatever sunshine comes our way. So, while you wait for your Party Favorz app notifications and new episodes, lose yourself in the carefully crafted rhythms of "Let's Go Dancin'." So grab your favorite drink, and let's go dancin' to some chilled yet invigorating beats. We're pretty confident that this set will leave you more than satisfied. Until the next time...ENJOY! I started this project earlier this year and had been working on it off and on between other posts.  Frankly, it was finished a few months ago and I had shelved it until now.  Millennial House Classics is basically an extension of the original 90s House Classics but focuses on the first ten years of the Millennium. From 2000 to 2009, house music was in a transitional stage with multiple offshoots from it's classic and disco roots.  While the typical suspects (Eric Kupper, David Morales, Full Intention) are included in is this multi-series set, new-comers like Freemasons, Seamus Haji, Moto Blanco, and Bob Sinclar were all making a name for themselves by re-interpreting house for a new generation of dance music lovers. The next six sets provide fantastic insight into the history and evolution of house during this period of time.  So download this and pass it around, you're bound to have some serious flashbacks. House music IS my passion and I'm sharing this love with all of you.  ENJOY! Album : Let's Get Busy | Millennial House Classics v1 Genre : House Year : 2014 Total Time : 01:50:37 1. Praise Cats feat.
