America prides itself on being the tech innovator, but nowhere can we blast 180 MPH between city centers with seamless transfers to metros and buses…and no TSA drudgery. But look closer and the familiar comes into view — rising car ownership, rush-hour congestion (except in Valencia!), and growth patterns that echo America. I wanted to follow these parallel tracks back to the nineteenth-century U.S. rail boom and forward to Spain's high-spe ed era. Turns out it's not just about who gets faster rail or faster freeways, but what kind of growth they lock in once they arrive.TRAINS, CITIES, AND CONTRADICTIONSMy wife and I took high-speed rail (HSR) on our recent trip to Spain. My first thought was, “Why can't we have nice things?”They're everywhere.Madrid to Barcelona in two and a half hours. Barcelona to Valencia, Valencia back to Madrid. Later, Porto to Lisbon. Even Portugal is in on it. We glided out of city-center stations, slipped past housing blocks and industrial belts, then settled into the familiar grain of Mediterranean countryside at 300 kilometers an hour. The Wi-Fi (mostly) worked. The seats were comfortable. No annoying TSA.Where HSR did not exist or didn't quite fit our schedule, we filled gaps with EasyJet flights. We did rent a car to seek the 100-foot waves at Nazaré, Portugal, only to be punished by the crawl of Porto's rush-hour traffic in a downpour. Within cities, we took metros, commuter trains, trams, buses, bike share, and walked…a lot.From the perspective of a sustainable transportation advocate, we were treated to the complete “nice things” package: fast trains between cities, frequent rail and bus service inside them, and streets catering to human bodies more than SUVs. What surprised me, though, was the way these nice things coexist with growth patterns that look — in structural terms — uncomfortably familiar.In this video

Els manifestants van ser rebuts per militants de les diferents viles per on van passar i, finalment, van ser acollits pel president del Parlament Josep Rull. En este episodio analizamos a fondo con Meinrad “Meine” Spenger, CEO de MASORANGE cómo esta empresa gestiona la contaminación de su flota y cuál es el papel del 5G en la movilidad del futuro. Entramos de lleno en los datos: desde cuándo miden emisiones, cómo lo hacen y cuál ha sido la evolución real de su flota respecto a la media española. También ponemos el foco en las mejoras logradas en el último año y en qué vehículos han requerido medidas específicas por altos niveles de contaminación. Profundizamos en la estrategia de movilidad limpia de +Orange, un plan que incluye electrificación progresiva, auditorías internas, formación para una conducción más eficiente y políticas muy estrictas de renovación de vehículos. Descubrimos qué indicadores usan, cómo se certifican los resultados y qué acciones se aplican cuando un vehículo se desvía de los objetivos marcados. La flota de MasOrange disminuye sus emisiones casi un 20% en el último año Los resultados del estudio de emisiones reales realizado por el laboratorio español OPUS RSE mejoran de forma relevante los del año anterior. La flota de vehículos de MasOrange produce un 86% menos de emisiones que la media nacional de vehículos urbanos. El 15% de la flota de MasOrange cuenta con etiqueta ECO -un 50% más que la media nacional- y apenas hay vehículos sin distintivo ambiental, reflejo del fuerte compromiso medioambiental de la Compañía. Este análisis se ha realizado mediante el sistema de teledetección RSD6000 (Remote Sensing Device), bajo ISO 17025, que permite medir, a distancia y de forma precisa, las emisiones reales emitidas por cada vehículo en su libre circulación. Madrid, 11 de diciembre de 2025.- MasOrange, primer operador de telecomunicaciones en España por volumen de clientes y referente en políticas ESG, continúa firmemente comprometido con la sostenibilidad y la mejora de la calidad del aire en todas sus actividades, como así lo reflejan los resultados obtenidos en la última auditoría de emisiones reales de su flota de vehículos, realizada en la sede de la compañía en Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid). El estudio, llevado a cabo por el laboratorio español OPUS RSE -especializado en la teledetección de contaminantes derivados del tráfico rodado- confirma que los vehículos de MasOrange presentan unas emisiones muy por debajo de la media nacional y mejoran, además, notablemente los resultados del año anterior. En concreto, el índice “Emission Score” de la flota de MasOrange se sitúa en 0,25 g/km, lo que supone una mejora de casi el 20% respecto a las mediciones obtenidas en 2024, y es un 86% inferior al promedio de vehículos en circulación en ciudades españolas (1,82 g/km). Por otra parte, en los más de 400 vehículos medidos de MasOrange las emisiones contaminantes - como el monóxido de carbono (CO), hidrocarburos (HC), los óxidos de nitrógeno (NOx) y las partículas (PM)- son significativamente inferiores a las de otros similares en ciudades españolas, siendo especialmente destacable el bajo nivel de los contaminantes más nocivos, especialmente de PM y NO2, los más perjudiciales para la salud. Asimismo, destaca en la flota de MasOrange el elevado porcentaje de vehículos ECO (15% frente al 10% nacional) y la práctica ausencia de vehículos sin distintivo ambiental (solo 1% de flota de MasOrange vs. un 7,7% nacional). En el caso de vehículos con etiqueta CERO, el porcentaje es similar al del resto de España. Estos resultados son fruto de la apuesta de la Compañía por la continua renovación y optimización de su flota corporativa, para hacerla cada vez más sostenible y eficiente y seguir generando impacto positivo. Gracias a ello, MasOrange cuenta con un parque de vehículos con menor antigüedad media y mejores características ecológicas que los habituales en entornos urbanos. “Estamos muy satisfechos de comprobar, con resultados concretos y medibles, que nuestra apuesta por la generación de impacto positivo, a través de nuestras políticas de movilidad sostenible, van por el buen camino, como demuestra la reducción del 20% en las emisiones de nuestra flota”, dijo Meinrad Spenger, Consejero Delegado de MasOrange. Enfoque metodológico del estudio Este análisis se ha realizado mediante el sistema de teledetección RSD6000 (Remote Sensing Device), bajo ISO 17025, que permite –de forma parecida a un radar de velocidad– medir a distancia las emisiones reales emitidas por cada vehículo en su libre circulación, garantizando así la máxima precisión y transparencia en los resultados. La metodología de telemedición de emisiones es una tecnología eficiente y eficaz al identificar entre el 1% y 2% de los vehículos más emisores -que pueden contribuir con el 40% de las emisiones contaminantes-, para que sus propietarios puedan repararlos o sustituirlos. Para poder cuantificar los niveles con un indicador único, se recurre al índice “Emission Score”, que combina los diferentes contaminantes en un índice de contaminación único. El índice pondera el peso de cada contaminante sobre la salud, de forma que las partículas PM son las que más daño provocan, seguidas de NOx, HC y, en menor medida, CO. Para extraer las conclusiones, se realizaron cerca de 1.700 mediciones de vehículos durante el mes de noviembre de 2025 y se compararon no sólo con estudios realizados el año anterior, sino también con las emisiones medias de otras campañas realizadas por OPUS RSE en distintos municipios españoles durante el año 2025, con el fin de poner los niveles y cifras en contexto Los resultados, que reflejan el buen estado general de la flota de MasOrange y ponen de manifiesto la eficacia de las políticas de mantenimiento y renovación llevadas a cabo por la Compañía, refuerzan su compromiso firme y constante con la movilidad sostenible y la reducción del impacto ambiental de su actividad, alineándose con los objetivos nacionales y europeos de calidad del aire y salud ambiental. Además, exploramos cómo el 5G ya está impactando en la movilidad: El 5G se presenta como una evolución de red más eficiente energéticamente y con menor latencia. Esta mejora reduce el consumo eléctrico de las telecomunicaciones y habilita comunicaciones casi en tiempo real, requisito clave para aplicaciones críticas de movilidad conectada. En movilidad, facilita la transmisión instantánea de datos de mediciones ambientales y de tráfico. En el caso descrito, permite enviar en tiempo real los resultados de remote sensing de emisiones a las plataformas de analítica, activar avisos inmediatos al conductor y proporcionar a las administraciones información actualizada para actuar con rapidez. De cara al vehículo conectado y autónomo, el 5G aporta la latencia ultrabaja necesaria para V2X y conducción automatizada. Además, se están desplegando redes privadas 5G en entornos logísticos como los puertos de Barcelona y Valencia, lo que anticipa casos de uso industriales y de transporte más seguros, coordinados y con mayor calidad de servicio. Vamos cerrando el presente año 2025 y me gustaría hacerlo compartiendo información que pueda resultar tanto de vuestro interés como de valor y utilidad. Como ustedes sabrán en la temporada 2020 – 2021 los organismos oficiales indicaron que la gripe había desaparecido, con apenas una docena de casos en todo el país y ello según señalara la Organización Mundial de la Salud en base a las medidas otorgadas por los países miembros ante la pandemia de coronavirus, que pese a ello reportara en la península durante dicho período más de 6 millones de casos. Es decir, que en base a las medidas de distanciamiento social, uso de mascarilla y demás parafernalia se puso erradicar la gripe, pero no el Sars-Cov-2, todo ello mientras a finales del año 2025 se nos indica que estamos ante la peor epidemia de gripe en 15 años y cuanto menos curioso a todos rasgos. Es por ello que el título del presente episodio no podría ser otro: “Que no te tomen el pelo”, dado que llevan haciéndolo demasiado tiempo y el mero hecho de volver a imponer de manera obligatoria mascarilla alguna o indicarnos que estamos ante una nueva epidemia no es sino la propia continuación de dicha tomadura de pelo y las cosas por su nombre, con la debida información, pero ante todo pensando por nosotros mismos en base a las incesantes incoherencias e incongruencias. Al igual que tratar de imponer de manera coercitiva una vez más un elemento plenamente ineficaz en nuestras carreteras, pero plenamente eficaz para las arcas del Estado, dado que no existe baliza alguna en el mercado que pueda resultar eficaz ante una curva de visibilidad reducida o cambio de rasante, mucho menos a plena luz del día o geolocalizaciones aparte. La nueva baliza V-16 sería el equivalente a las mascarillas quirúrgicas, salvo que en diferentes ámbitos, pero plenamente ineficaces, a fin de cuentas, al igual que la farsa climática mediante la cual poder subyugarnos más y mejor, dado que igualmente daremos cierto repaso a las incesantes incoherencias políticas. También realizaremos un repaso de la propia actualidad política y social, aquella que los medios oficiales por norma general gustan de ocultar. Es por ello que para ir cerrando este año 2025, intenso cuanto menos, hablaremos sin pelos en la lengua una vez más para exponer una serie de agendas que tratan de encubrir los verdaderos motivos de infinidad de cuestiones que nos atañen a todos. From Struggling Freelancer to Sustainable Agency Growth After a short stint in an agency at age 22, Charlie tried to go solo before realizing he didn't yet know how to grow a business. He assumed he could do it on his own and quickly learned he wasn't ready yet. Instead of quitting, he got a job as a Digital Marketing Manager, where he could make mistakes, learn operations, and understand what actually works inside a business. Moving to Barcelona created the perfect environment for momentum. His one-month stay turned into ten years after he landed several clients within weeks. His first retainer was €500 a month, which he laughs about now, but he admits it took years before he learned how to price correctly and move away from low-margin retainers. Those early years were full of trial and error, but the big breakthrough was realizing that charging more wasn't always the key to profit. Charging smarter was. Real Profit Lives in the Middle, Not the Top One of the strongest lessons Charlie learned was that bigger retainers did not equal bigger profit. Once he added transparent pricing, clear expectations, and prequalification to the website, the right clients were self-selecting before the call even happened. By the time he spoke with them, they understood the price and the structure. Now he closes clients on the call or even through a single WhatsApp message. This is the power of clarity. It shortens cycles, reduces friction, and saves enormous amounts of time for a lean team. However, transparent pricing attracts budget mismatches, so Jason recommends removing pricing from agency's websites and switching to triage calls and the Foot-In-The-Door model. At the end of the day, there are a thousand ways to create a better sales process. What matters is that it filters, qualifies, and positions you as the advisor. Why a Paid Discovery Offer Builds Trust and Prevents Ghosting Both Charlie and Jason agree that a small, paid upfront engagement solves the biggest challenge in agency sales. Trust. SEO agencies in particular fight an uphill battle here. The barrier to entry is low. There are thousands of one-person shops. Many prospects have been burned before. El tema de hoy es uno de los más importantes en el mundo del motor. Porque comprar es fácil. Lo difícil es mantener. Hemos hablado de sus precios y de su tecnología, pero el coche no es solo un producto. Es un servicio. ¿Están las marcas chinas preparadas para “el día después”? Ya están aquí. Miras por la calle y ves un MG. Paras en un semáforo y tienes un BYD al lado. Te ofrecen un Omoda con un precio alucinante... Pero hoy en Garaje Hermético hacemos la pregunta incómoda: ¿Qué pasa cuando se estropea? ¿Avanza la post-venta al mismo ritmo que la venta? 1. La Promesa Sobre el Papel: Garantías de Récord Lo primero que te ponen sobre la mesa es la garantía. Y aquí, ganan por goleada. Mientras la mayoría de marcas se acomodan en los 3 años legales, las chinas han reventado la baraja: -MG (Grupo SAIC): 7 años o 150.000 km. -BYD: 6 años o 150.000 km (8 años o 200.000 km para la batería Blade). -Omoda y Jaecoo (Grupo Chery): 7 años o 150.000 km. Sobre el papel, es una declaración de intenciones. Te dicen: "Confía en mí". Pero una garantía, amigos, no es más que un contrato. Su efectividad depende de la red que tiene que ejecutarla. 2. El Triángulo Roto: La Realidad de la Post-Venta El problema de la post-venta no es el coche; es la logística. Es un triángulo con tres pilares, y si uno falla, todo se cae. -Pilar 1: La Capilaridad (¿Dónde está el taller?) Un coche chino hoy te obliga a morir en el servicio oficial. El taller de tu barrio no tiene ni los manuales ni la diagnosis. ¿Y cómo de grande es la red oficial? MG roza los 100 puntos de servicio. BYD prevé unos 60. Omoda, 80. Suena bien, pero Seat, por ejemplo, tiene más de 300. Si vives en Soria, Cáceres o Teruel, tu taller más cercano puede estar a 150 kilómetros. Tener que hacer 200 km (ida y vuelta) para una revisión es un inconveniente. Si el coche falla, es un problema. -Pilar 2: La Formación (¿Saben lo que hacen?) Estas marcas se apoyan en grandes grupos multimarca. El mecánico que ayer reparaba un Corsa, hoy tiene que diagnosticar un híbrido de MG o un eléctrico de BYD. Requiere una formación específica en alta tensión que no todos tienen, y la velocidad de ventas a veces supera a la de la formación. -Pilar 3: La Logística (El Verdadero Talón de Aquiles) Aquí está el punto crítico. El gran agujero negro. Los recambios. Para un Renault, un faro o una aleta llegan en 24-48 horas. ¿Qué pasa con un coche chino? No hay recambio de competencia. Olvídate. SÓLO existe la pieza original. Todo depende del importador y su almacén central. El drama viene con la "pieza de colisión" (carrocería) o "pieza de baja rotación" (un sensor, una centralita). Los testimonios en foros se repiten: "Llevo un mes esperando un paragolpes", "Dos meses parado por un sensor". Las marcas están montando sus centros logísticos en Europa (Francia, Alemania, España), pero si la pieza no está allí, hay que pedirla a China. Y hablamos de semanas o meses. 3. El Ecosistema Chino: No Todos Son Iguales Sería injusto meter a todas en el mismo saco: -Nivel 1: MG (Grupo SAIC): Víctimas de su propio éxito. El ZS ha sido un superventas. Tienen la red más grande, pero también la más congestionada y desbordada. -Nivel 2: BYD (El Gigante): Van más lentos, con una estrategia "premium" aliándose con los grupos de concesionarios más potentes. Son los más serios y controlan hasta sus propios barcos de transporte. -Nivel 3: Omoda/Jaecoo (Grupo Chery): El movimiento más inteligente. Se han aliado con EV Motors para usar la antigua fábrica de Nissan en Barcelona como su gran centro logístico para el sur de Europa. Esto debería acortar drásticamente los plazos. -Nivel 4: Los "Aventureros" (DFSK, SWM, etc.): El peligro real. Vienen a través de un importador. Si el importador quiebra o decide dejar la marca, te quedas con un "coche huérfano". 4. ¿Qué Pasa Fuera de España? No es un problema solo español. En Reino Unido, MG es un éxito rotundo, pero los foros están plagados de quejas por esperas de meses para piezas de carrocería. La situación es tal que algunas aseguradoras han llegado a pausar la emisión de pólizas. ¿La razón? No es la reparación; es el coste del coche de sustitución. Si un golpe tonto tarda 3 meses en repararse, la aseguradora paga 3 meses de coche de cortesía. Es la ruina. América del Sur es el espejo donde mirarnos: un cementerio de marcas "huérfanas" que llegaron, vendieron y desaparecieron, dejando a los propietarios sin recambios. 5. ¿Es Más Caro o Más Barato de Mantener? El mantenimiento programado (filtros, aceite) suele ser barato. El problema son las reparaciones. El drama no es el precio de la pieza, es el coste de inmovilización. ¿De qué sirve una pieza barata si el coche va a estar parado 8 semanas? Si eres un autónomo, un taxista o un comercial, es la ruina. El verdadero coste es el tiempo.

Dirigida por Jorge Torregrossa (conocido por El cuerpo en llamas y Fariña), la miniserie de seis episodios adapta la novela El verdugo de Gaudí de Aro Sáinz de la Maza y sitúa su oscuramente absorbente trama en una Barcelona donde los emblemáticos edificios de Gaudí se convierten en telón de fondo de crímenes inquietantes. Echegui encarna a la subinspectora Rebeca Garrido con una presencia que, en su último papel, combina meticulosidad y humanidad, mientras que Isak Férriz da vida al inspector Milo Malart, un policía suspendido que regresa al servicio para investigar un asesinato macabro en la fachada de La Pedrera. DISNEY (2,5 estrellas) La segunda temporada de Percy Jackson y los dioses del Olimpo adapta El mar de los monstruos, la segunda novela de Rick Riordan, y amplía el universo mitológico con una apuesta más oscura y ambiciosa. Creada por Rick Riordan y Jonathan E. Steinberg, la serie vuelve a estar protagonizada por Walker Scobell como Percy, junto a Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth) y Aryan Simhadri (Grover), en una nueva misión marcada por la amenaza que se cierne sobre el Campamento Mestizo. Min 35: ESPECIAL BSO EN PRIMICIA: "TERRA ALTA" DE ARTURO CARDELÚS (4 estrellas) La banda sonora original de Terra Alta, compuesta por el músico español Arturo Cardelús, se erige como uno de los grandes pilares emocionales de la serie, aportando una identidad sonora sobria, contenida y profundamente atmosférica. Desde un enfoque elegante y contemporáneo, Cardelús construye una partitura que acompaña el pulso del thriller sin subrayados excesivos, apoyándose en texturas orquestales, motivos íntimos y una tensión latente que dialoga con el paisaje moral de la historia. El Laboratorio Central de Veterinaria de Algete (Madrid) confirmó ayer el positivo al virus de la peste porcina africana en otros tres jabalíes, que se han localizado en las inmediaciones de los casos notificados con anterioridad, en el municipio de Cerdanyola del Vallés (Barcelona). Con estos nuevos positivos, se confirma la presencia de la enfermedad en un total de 16 animales silvestres.Además, se han analizado otros 115 cadáveres de animales encontrados muertos en el medio natural o en carreteras y vías ferroviarias en la zona infectada y sus alrededores, que han resultados negativos.Ayer se celebraba la primera reunión del Comité de Expertos en Peste Porcina Africana de Aragón. Mientras, la carne de porcino se abarató en noviembre respecto al mes anterior un 0,1%, el primer descenso intermensual desde el 0,2% de enero, según los datos definitivos del último Índice de Precios de Consumo (IPC). Mercolleida moderaba este jueves el descenso del precio de la carne de cerdo y la cotización del cerdo de engorde ha retrocedido 6 céntimos, la del cochinillo 2 euros y la de cerda 2 céntimos.En el caso del cerdo de engorde, el descenso vuelve a situarse dentro del límite habitual de variación máxima después de dos bajadas consecutivas de 10 céntimos por el foco de peste porcina africana (PPA).
