Send us Fan MailHello, passionate cruisers! This is Paul. I am delighted to welcome this week on The Joy of Cruising Podcast, Comedian Jeff Nease. Listeners know that in addition to my passion for cruising, I am passionate about music and stand-up comedy. Accordingly, on The Joy of Cruising Podcast I love hosting performers from cruise ships, and Jeff has headlined on virtually every major cruise line, so I am excited to have a conversation with him. ‘Hilarious!' (Entertainment Today Magazine), “A high energy performer able to generate BIG laughs!” (Las Vegas Review Journal) and The Detroit Free Press simply declares “Jeff Nease makes us laugh!”. Observational, Conversational and often, Standing Ovational, Jeff Nease is there whenever ‘You Need Funny!' Jeff began his career in 1987. The performing ‘bug' bit while studying film and theater at the University of Toledo. Propelled by his love of the comedy albums of George Carlin, Steve Martin, Bill Cosby and Bob Newhart, it wasn't long before he found himself stepping on the stage of the local comedy venue ‘The Toledo Comedy Club'. He began to hone his craft anywhere he could find an audience: nightclubs, rock bars, colleges and lounges in and around his hometown in Northwest Ohio and Detroit, Michigan. Jeff applied his theater training as a founding member of the improvisational group ‘The Improvables'. This experience helped form the spontaneous element his show is known for. Jeff soon began touring comedy clubs and theaters in both the United States and Canada. New York to L.A., Vancouver to Nova Scotia. He became a finalist in the National Lampoon Laugh-Off, was seen on Television (A&E, PBS and Comedy Central) and opened up concerts for musical icons The Temptations and jazz great Najee. He also opened up for comedy stars Jim Carrey, Tim Allen and Ellen DeGeneres. Jeff also ventured out to sea. Today Jeff is currently one of the most sought-after comedians for the world's most popular cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean. He has performed around the world on vessels for Azamara, Celebrity Cruises, Cunard, Crystal Cruises, Holland America, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruise Line, Regent Cruise Line, among others. Las Vegas became home for 14 years. Jeff performed at such iconic venues as The Riviera, MGM Grand, Tropicana, the Stardust, Rio and more. In addition to his nightclub work, Jeff performed for many of the various conventions and special events such as NAB (National Association of Broadcasters), COMDEX and CES (The Consumer Electronics Show). His corporate clients include Allstate, Taco Bell, The Royal Bank of Canada, USANA and Cannon. He is exceptionally proud to be accepted on the roster of performers for the USO. Today Jeff tours continually around the world. His greatest pride come from his three sons Jeffrey Jr., Patrick and Theodore.Do you have a dream car? Jeff Schaffer, Larry David's longtime creative partner on Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, joins Obsessed to share behind-the-scenes stories from more than 30 years working with TV's biggest curmudgeon—including what it was really like directing Barack Obama on HBO's Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness, creating the show's most talked-about political sketches, and why Larry's TV wife, Cheryl Hines, doesn't make a cameo. Schaffer also reflects on the Seinfeld reunion, working with stars like Sacha Baron Cohen, Matt Damon, and Jim Carrey, and reveals why he believes Curb Your Enthusiasm really is over for good this time.
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls - is this a better than the original or a lazy, cash-grab sequel that Jim Carrey tried to tank on purpose? Isr the raccoon “cliffhanger” opener is actually better than Stallone's Cliffhanger? Does Ace crosses the line from “weird guy” to straight-up unlikable and does the rhino birth scene belong in the all-time physical comedy hall of fame? Is this truly just a “kid movie” carried by Carrey's energy, or does it deserve more credit than the critics ever gave it? Tommy likey, Tommy want a top 20 90s comedy blind ranking! This is what happens when five dude's get together and try to blind rank their favorite 90s comedies. It's chaotic, it's slapstick, it disregards cinematic taste, and it creates debates about if Fargo belongs on the list. Jim Carrey wrote a cheque to himself for ten million dollars when he was a broke, unknown actor. Sara Blakely visualised a billion-dollar business and an Oprah appearance before either was remotely plausible. Easy to dismiss as coincidence. Harder to dismiss once you understand what an fMRI shows when a person runs a scenario in their mind. Andrew May breaks down the neuroscience behind why mental rehearsal works, and why leaders who ignore it are leaving a genuine performance edge on the table. Gerald: Imagine being dragged to the bottom of the ocean and forced to build an underwater rec center for dolphins. The viral story of Gerald the dolphin swept the Internet and social media making that claim. Though the story was debunked the buzz around it continued. What makes a story that is not true become so popular? Celebrity cloning: For years people have made claims about celebrities acting out of character at events, making strange posts or acting out in a way that makes people wonder if they they been switched by a clone? After a very strange acceptance speech by Jim Carrey ,people began to claim he wasn't really himself . Was he replaced by a bio-engineered doppelgänger? Bigfoot in Ohio: Earlier this year a large amount of Bigfoot sighting began flooding in from Ohio. Researchers have said this is the biggest Bigfoot flap since the 70's. Around the same time a large meteor exploded over Ohio causing a large boom heard around the state. Were these events related? Join us this week as we unravel these three mysteries.
Comedian Anna Roisman joins me for a packed episode covering the biggest stories in pop culture right now. First, the Emmy race for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, which is already a two-woman fight: Lisa Kudrow for The Comeback and Jean Smart for Hacks. Nobody is debating whether they get nominated, only who takes it home. Then, a win for movie-loving millennials. Mike Myers is returning as Austin Powers, and Jim Carrey is coming back as the Grinch with director Ron Howard. We get into why millennial nostalgia keeps working at the box office, and why more of both feels less like a cash grab and more like a gift. Finally, Madonna. Her shelved biopic wasn't exactly a ray of light for Universal, but she has turned it into a holiday for Apple TV on the next season of The Studio. This week on the show, we're diving into the biggest headlines from Hollywood. First up, Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into the record books with the best pre-sales in five years—will Brand New Day be the biggest box office hit of the year ahead of Avengers: Doomsday? Then, filmmaker Curry Barker sets his sights on his next original project at Universal Pictures with a high eight figure deal. We also break down Focus Features' early Oscar campaign plans for Obsession, and the surprising news that Amazon MGM has dropped Luca Guadagnino's nearly finished Sam Altman film about an AI CEO. Plus, a sequel to How The Grinch Stole Christmas is in development, and Jim Carrey is reportedly in talks to return. Tune in for all the details and our takes!
Christmas has come early and our hearts prepare to grow three sizes as Jim Carrey might be returning to The Grinch. We get a bit suss about that black cat in Pixar's Gatto, we've all got that one weird uncle but Uncle Freddy might really be one to look out for in Freddy the 13th, and we might be getting a Mad Max: Fury Finale. And with about a month to go and with tickets on sale bow - we have a new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day to discuss.
Happy Thursday, Christmas Fanatics! And Happy Leon Day! Can you believe that, as of today, we are *officially* Halfway to Christmas 2026? We sure can't! It's all downhill from here! To celebrate the occasion, please enjoy this special bonus episode in which Julia and Anthony once again gather to discuss their favorite "Saturday Night Live" Christmas skits that didn't make their list the last time they talked to the iconic sketch show! They each picked five, which means this episode is full of tons of laughs! Additionally, the two discuss their Top Ten Christmas films that have released since the film "Elf", and surprisingly, only three films out of twenty are common to both lists! Also discussed: the news that Jim Carrey is in talks to reprise his iconic role of the Grinch in a live-action sequel to the beloved 2000 movie, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"! Trust us when we say, this is one fun, festive episode that serves as the perfect way to mark the fact we are only six months away from Christmas Day! So settle back, relax, and enjoy! And, as always, thanks for your love and support, y'all!

The wait is over for GTA VI....information. WE have all the details on GTA VI, and no its not getting delayed anymore. Valve also dropped the curtain on the Steam Machine and it is not cheap. Toy Story dominated the weekend, and no surprise there, and George Lucas is popping up in a very likely place. That and more this week!
Welcome to Multiverse News, your source for information about all your favorite fictional universes.Everyone's forgotten Peter Parker…or have they? Sony gave us a second full trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day and the interwebs are buzzing about it. We get longer looks at Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner/Hulk and Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle/Punisher in the film, as well as allusions to the big bad of the movie - though Tom Holland recently said on the press tour that the antagonist has not been figured out yet by fans. Films continue to top each other's openings at the box office this year, with Toy Story 5 having the current title of best opening of the year to the tune of $160 million domestically over the Father's Day weekend. This was also the all-time best opening for the 30-year-old franchise. Disclosure Day took second place this weekend, though Toy Story practically beat its global take in the states alone, and Obsession and Backrooms continue their strong streaks coming in at third and fourth respectively.Universal and Blumhouse's Atomic Monster are jumping on the Curry Barker bandwagon having acquired the young director's third film in a reported eight figure deal. While Universal has been backing Barker, both Obsession and his upcoming film Anything But Ghosts are coming from Focus Features. Blumhouse has produced those same films, but this new move puts the horror powerhouse in a stronger position for film development. To tag onto the box office talk and remind you, Obsession was made for $750,000 and has now made more than $300 million worldwide - making it a tantalizing prospect for Blumhouse.Netflix has opted not to proceed with a second season of The Boroughs, a sci-fi TV series executive produced by Stranger Things creators The Duffer Brothers. The series debuted its first season last month. Universal and Imagine Entertainment are developing a sequel to 2000's How the Grinch Stole Christmas, with Jim Carrey in talks to reprise his role as the classic Dr. Seuss character the Grinch and Ron Howard returning to direct. Manny Jacinto, Emily Mortimer, and Thomasin McKenzie have joined the Season 3 cast of Prime Video's Fallout in recurring roles. In a new interview with Collider, Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri revealed that Star Wars creator George Lucas was cast in a small voice part in the upcoming Minions and Monsters because Lucas is a longtime fan of the Despicable Me franchise. Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley is reteaming with Keanu Reeves for a live-action hybrid Lego movie that Cooley will direct and Reeves will star in according to Deadline. Netflix has won the rights to develop Alix E. Harrow's best selling novel The Everlasting and will enter production on a series adaptation immediately according to Variety. Dylan Clark's reboot of The Blair Witch Project for Lionsgate has landed a release date of September 24, 2027.Legendary has announced that a live action Magic School Bus movie is officially in the works with Elizabeth Banks set to play Ms. Frizzle. Jim Carrey's first dramatic role since Ace Ventura 2 takes us into a discussion exploring the more relevant than ever themes of The Truman Show. Existentialism, surveillance-state, and psychological trauma coated in a perfectly set cookie-cutter 1950s Americana. Mike is not a big fan of the movie and its one of Johnny's top-10 of all time, which made for a really interesting episode. Thanks for listening, tell your friends and paramore, and as always, be kind, rewind, relax, and enjoy the best nostalgic movie podcast in the world! Maybe...

One minute you're discussing legendary comedians. The next minute you're getting shot with an Airsoft gun to reveal a baby's gender. Just another completely normal day on The Rizzuto Show.Episode 101 delivers exactly the kind of chaos you'd expect from your favorite daily comedy show. King Scott finally reveals whether he's having a boy or a girl, but because this is The Rizzuto Show, the reveal involves questionable planning, poor weapon handling, and two unsuspecting coworkers standing against a wall hoping they don't get blasted. Radio professionalism remains undefeated. Before the big reveal, the gang gears up for Night of the Rizzlies at the Gateway Grizzlies game, debates who can throw the fastest first pitch without embarrassing themselves, and questions whether Moon's partially destroyed knee can survive an outfield race. The confidence level is high. The odds of injury are somehow even higher. Then things get surprisingly heated when the crew tackles one of the biggest comedy questions imaginable: Who is the greatest stand-up comedian turned actor of all time? Robin Williams? Eddie Murphy? Jim Carrey? Steve Martin? Adam Sandler? Billy Crystal? The debate spirals into movie history, personal rankings, forgotten classics, and enough opinions to start at least three internet arguments. In Crap On Celebrities, Lern brings everything from Beastie Boys news and Marilyn Manson legal updates to TV cancellations, celebrity health stories, Hulk Hogan documentary discussion, and one of the strangest medical conditions anyone has ever heard of. Apparently some people sneeze when they're too full. The show spends an alarming amount of time exploring that concept. The gang also revisits cult classics like The Cable Guy, argues over the true Mount Rushmore of 1970s rock bands, and somehow turns a discussion about diarrhea into a surprisingly detailed scientific investigation. Nobody asked for that. Yet here we are.And because becoming a father isn't stressful enough, King Scott sticks around for "Feed Baby Scott," where listeners try to identify mystery baby foods while Scott gets spoon-fed questionable purees. Future fatherhood preparation? Not exactly. Entertaining radio? Absolutely. If you're looking for a daily comedy show packed with ridiculous debates, weird celebrity news, accidental life lessons, and a room full of adults behaving like unsupervised middle schoolers, this episode delivers all of it.Congratulations to Scott and Allison on their baby girl, condolences to everyone who got hit with an Airsoft pellet, and good luck getting the phrase "explosive diarrhea" out of your head. Thanks for listening to another daily comedy show from The Rizzuto Show.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
If you've ever convinced yourself you were dying only to discover you just forgot your morning coffee, congratulations—you and Moon have something in common. This episode begins with Moon's dramatic weekend health crisis, which included headaches, body aches, sweating, canceled plans, and a genuine belief that he had caught the flu. After missing parties, skipping events, and suffering through a soccer match, the shocking diagnosis arrived: accidental caffeine withdrawal. One decaf mistake later, Moon was spiraling. Two rose lattes later, he was ready to conquer the world, write albums, and possibly become mayor of Paris.Meanwhile, the crew breaks down one of the most unexpected party surprises in recent memory when former Blues star Jamie Rivers decides the perfect pool-opening gift for his fiancée Ashley is... live monkeys. Not monkey decorations. Not monkey-themed cupcakes. Actual monkeys. Naturally, the monkeys arrive during a crowded backyard party packed with guests, children, music, and enough chaos to make everyone question several life choices. The result is equal parts adorable, confusing, and mildly terrifying. The conversation somehow escalates into monkey behavior analysis, party planning mistakes, surprise animal logistics, and the realization that getting bitten by a monkey in a bikini was probably not on anyone's weekend bingo card. The gang also recaps King Scott's massive baby shower, complete with mountains of gifts, bacon, desserts, and the looming anticipation of the show's upcoming gender reveal. There are discussions about weird party foods, mysterious hot-dog cake creations, and why some recipes should maybe stay inside family cookbooks. As if that wasn't enough, Rafe conducts what can only be described as investigative journalism by revisiting a local Hooters. What follows is an unexpectedly deep exploration of restaurant culture, paper plates, silent dining rooms, forgotten glory days, and whether a restaurant can accidentally become an existential experience. It's part food review, part sociology experiment, and part cry for help. The crew also tackles one of life's toughest questions: what's the saddest food to eat alone? Cake? Ice cream? A blooming onion? The answers get surprisingly personal as stories of lonely desserts, spaghetti mishaps, old promotional cakes, and questionable life decisions come flooding out. From caffeine dependency and monkey business to restaurant nostalgia and emotional food debates, this episode delivers exactly the kind of beautiful nonsense that makes this daily comedy show what it is. If you're looking for a daily comedy show that can seamlessly connect French coffee, poolside monkeys, hot-dog cake, and Hooters trivia without ever making sense, you've found your people. Absolutely.Today's episode of The Rizzuto Show answers a question absolutely nobody asked: can King Scott identify baby food flavors while blindfolded and trapped in audio isolation?Armed with an airplane spoon, questionable parenting products, and the confidence of a man who claimed he'd "never gotten this wrong before," Scott stepped into one of the weirdest challenges we've ever put on the show. What followed was a rollercoaster of carrots, sweet peas, green beans, applesauce, chicken broth, and enough pureed mystery meat to make everyone in the room reconsider modern food science.Things start innocent enough when Scott confidently nails carrot. That's where the success story ends. Soon he's identifying sweet peas as asparagus, green beans as apricot, and repeatedly convincing himself that every suspicious meat product on earth somehow tastes like tuna. Meanwhile, Moon embraces his new role as Baby Food Sommelier, Rafe nearly loses his lunch from the smell of ham puree, and Lern spends most of the challenge laughing at Scott looking like he's awaiting sentencing in the electric chair.Along the way, the gang talks about the upcoming Operation Food Search canned food drive, broadcasting outside the station for the first time in years, and why the studio might actually be the sixth member of the show. Then it's right back to watching a grown man try to process flavors designed for people who can't legally walk yet.The real star of the show might be the baby food itself. The ham and gravy drew immediate comparisons to cat food. The chicken and broth somehow smelled worse. Multiple show members gagged. One nearly threw up. Scott requested second bites of several flavors despite clear evidence that his taste buds had already filed formal complaints. If you've ever wondered what happens when confidence collides head-on with pureed meat products, this episode delivers. It's a masterclass in bad guesses, terrible smells, and the kind of chaos that only happens when a daily radio show decides to turn one of its hosts into a giant toddler for entertainment purposes. This is exactly the kind of funny podcast nonsense that keeps us employed. It's a funny podcast filled with bad decisions, questionable food choices, and a shocking amount of discussion about tuna that wasn't actually tuna. If you love a funny podcast featuring hilarious fails, weird food challenges, sarcastic humor, and friends roasting each other for nearly half an hour, welcome home.Featuring:King Scott vs. baby foodThe ham puree incidentThe Great Tuna ConfusionMoon's elite airplane-spoon techniqueRafe's battle with nauseaMultiple audience predictionsOne very concerned future fatherEnough chicken broth to haunt a studio foreverThe Rizzuto Show: proving once again that adulthood is mostly just childhood with bills.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.Belleville's Skyview Drive-In is now for saleBear sightings prompt warnings in Franklin County'Pure Panic': Glacier Grizzly Attack Survivor Shares the Story of the Rescue That Saved HimSt. Louis woman stabs man in head with railroad spike after fight over lottery ticketSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Rambo Van Halen is a pseudonym. He's a Hollywood producer — the real kind, the below-the-line kind, the guy making sure the steel gets to the factory — who worked in the industry for decades, walked away in 2019, and wrote a book about it.The book is called Hollywood Samizdat: Notes from Below the Line. It's published by Passage Press. Lou read it. He dog-eared it. They talked for an hour. Topics include: what a producer actually does (mostly administration, definitely not what people think); what happens to actors when nobody says no to them for 20 years; the feminization of Hollywood and why straight guys stopped being able to do their jobs; military veterans vs. film school graduates on set (no contest); Werner Herzog, Klaus Kinski, and the Amazon river; the unwritten casting rule about who can and can't be the butt of the joke; MeToo — the careers it should have ended, the ones it shouldn't have, and the Joe Gatt story that will make your jaw drop; and why Rambo Van Halen is not his real name and probably never will be.
