This week LPN's resident Big Sister Natalie Jean crashes the slumba parta to dish on what dance movies are and are NOT Real Dancer Approved, MJ is feelin' Pope-positive, and Jackie's jealous of Pope Bob's MEAT until she adjusts her crown and remembers WHO SHE IS. A Woman In Total Control (of) Hotdogs. Natalie introduces everyone to a new phrase while talkin' 'bout the controversy surrounding CANNES, which just leads to Jackie giving us a street phrase lesson no one wanted. Nuts out for the alpha male as the eternal question is asked; big testies or lil testies, which do they prefer? Jackie and Henry are trying to grief watch all the 'John Wick's without seeing the dog scene again BECAUSE IT DOES NOT NEED TO EXIST DEREK KOLSTAD, Jamie Lee Curtis got plastic surgery at 25 because some scumbag cinematographer sucks at his job and blamed her face instead of doing some self-reflection, MJ and Jackie suffered through all of 'Manual Not Included' SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO! And yes, they do in fact talk shit on you, HILARIA. Lotta people are still mad at Sarah Silverman, AND SO MUCH MORE! Then it's time for a list with a title longer than the list itself, 'Plot Driven Bits of Movie Trivia That'll Have Ur Mom Askin' 'Wait, What's Goin' On? I Thought He Was The GOOD GUY!?'', the Blindz, and a seriously savory Jackie's Snackies with MJ's Munchie Minute from 1:08:31.980 til 1:16:29.555!Want even more Page 7? Support us on Patreon! 00:04:20 - 00:14:25: FBI's Role in January 6 and Lack of TransparencyKash Patel and Dan Bongino's evasive responses on FBI's involvement in January 6, suggesting a deep state operation. Critique of their alignment with the party line, lack of clarity, and distrust in forthcoming information being filtered through Congress. Mentions Jeffrey Epstein's death as a non-suicide, reflecting broader skepticism of official narratives.00:31:50 - 00:42:13: Media Manipulation and PropagandaDiscussion of Caitlin Johnstone's article on how Western media uses distortions, emphasis, and omissions to shape narratives, particularly on Israel-Palestine. Emphasis on the need to focus on raw data to counter manipulation, with examples of underreported issues like starvation in Gaza versus overreported stories like Russia-Ukraine.00:46:29 - 00:59:40: Lab-Grown Meat as a Control MechanismCritique of lab-grown meat as a tool for corporate control, removing self-sufficiency in food production. Discussion of its ethical and environmental claims as hollow, with concerns about engineered scarcity and dependence on conglomerates. Mentions the unappetizing nature of lab-grown products like the “world's largest cultivated chicken nugget.”01:13:29 - 01:17:16: Montana's Ban on Warrantless Data PurchasesMontana's Senate Bill 282 prohibits law enforcement from buying personal data (e.g., geolocation, financial records) without a warrant, closing the data broker loophole. Child's death misattributed to measles was due to medical error (delayed antibiotics for pneumonia). Critique of vaccine schedules causing autism/allergies and mercury (thimerosal) in vaccines, requiring hazmat cleanup but injected into children.02:17:42 - 02:34:50: Susan Monterey's CDC Appointment and Biosecurity ConcernsSusan Monterey, appointed CDC director, criticized for biosecurity ties (ARPA-H, BARDA, DARPA) and vaccine advocacy. RFK Jr.'s endorsement as a Maha supporter questioned as a betrayal, given her support for AI-driven health projects (e.g., predicting diseases from personal data) and high-risk biomedical research, likened to pandemic manufacturing.02:34:50 - 02:42:09: NGOs and Government Funding Woke IdeologyUS government (CIA, USAID) and NGOs (Ford, Rockefeller Foundations) funded gay pride and transgenderism since the 1980s, evolving into woke ideology. Revelation Dates: May 1831 Revelation Places: Kirtland, Ohio Section 49 - Historical Background: A man named Leman Copley was a recent convert from a religious group called the Shakers, or the Shaking Quakers. He was so excited about the gospel that he wanted to present it to his former church members located near Cleveland, Ohio. The founder of the Shakers was a woman named Ann Lee, who had once been involved in a miserable marriage. Much of her religion was built around her opposition to marriage and the relations that went with it. “Mother Lee” was regarded as the returned Christ, meat was forbidden to eat, baptism was unnecessary and a celibate life was required. Before sending missionaries to this group, Joseph asked the Lord how to approach the concepts of these people. Recap: The Lord calls Sidney Rigdon and Parley P. Pratt to teach the Shakers, including Leman Copley, so Leman can convince his former congregation the truths of the Gospel. If they accept it, they shall be saved. Otherwise they shall be damned. The Lord specifies true gospel concepts to be taught: The Lord has not yet come the second time; Believe on Jesus Christ; Repent; Be Baptized and receive the Holy Ghost; Marriage is ordained of God; Meat is ordained for the use of man if not wasted; and Christ will return in the heavens – not as a woman or a man walking the earth. [Note: This missionary effort was completely rejected by the Shakers, and even Leman Copley abandoned the church, breaking promises and covenants he made previously.] Section 50 - Historical Background: Numerous converts were flooding into the church, making it difficult to manage the many new branches spreading abroad. Especially troublesome were the perverted beliefs many converts brought into the church from their former religion. A false and lying spirit was beginning to infiltrate the church, including false visions, prophesies and manifestations of spiritual possession. Some church leaders became concerned and approached Joseph to inquire of the Lord. Together, they all knelt in prayer and Joseph received this revelation. Recap: There are many false spirits in the world, intending to deceive the world and especially the saints. Within the church there are some hypocrites (pretenders) who have deceived some, but they will be detected and cut off. The Elders are to preach according to the Spirit of God – if by any other means it is not of God. If the Spirit they receive does not edify, it is a false spirit. That which is of God is light, to chase away the darkness. If one cannot discern whether the spirit be good or evil, ask God. If it is evil, humbly but firmly denounce that spirit.

My guest is Dr. Christopher Gardner, Ph.D., professor of medicine and director of nutrition studies at Stanford. He is known for his pioneering research on the impact of dietary interventions on weight loss and health. We compare ketogenic, vegetarian, vegan and omnivorous diets—and why there is no one-size-fits-all approach. All agree, however, that eliminating or dramatically reducing processed foods is best for health. We discuss the protein needs controversy; plant vs. animal proteins; the importance of fiber and low-sugar fermented foods for gut health and inflammation; and how diet affects gene expression. We also review food allergies—including gluten, wheat, dairy and soy—as well as raw dairy. The episode offers data-supported advice for healthier eating. Project Griddle features the trademark Raichlen approach, with plenty of practical cooking techniques and nearly 80 hunger-inducing recipes. Project Griddle traces the history and geography of griddling, from the teppan of Japan to the plancha of Spain to champa grilling in South America. Steven knows about gear! A whole chapter showcases the various types of stand-up and portable flattops and planchas, plus the requisite accessories, how to season and maintain a griddle, how to oil and cook on it, with chefs' shortcuts, and some pitfalls to watch out for. And then there are the recipes—each one as outrageously delicious and foolproof as the last, for classics like the crispiest smash burgers and tapas bar shrimp to an entire suite of heretofore un-grillable foods—egg-and-bacon breakfast feasts, potato latkes, crepes, French toast, and smoky fried rice. The book is divided into these chapters: Breakfast; Tapas; Sandwiches; Burgers & Sausages; Flatbreads & Tortilla Dishes; Meat; Poultry; Seafood; Vegetables, Rice, and Tofu; Desserts.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-like-it-s-live--4113802/support.
Award-winning author and investigative journalist Alice Driver joins me to discuss her powerful new book, Life and Death of the American Worker. Her investigation exposes the deeply unethical practices within the meatpacking industry in the United States. For Alice, this story is personal. She grew up in Arkansas, one of the country's poorest states and home to Tyson Foods, the largest meatpacking plant in America. We delve into the harsh realities faced by the industry's workforce, many of whom are undocumented immigrants, with estimates suggesting that up to 30% of the labor force lacks legal status. Our conversation explores the severe health consequences these workers endure and the broader implications for workers' rights in America today. May 7, 2025 Ever wonder what it really takes to sell premium farm products with confidence—and actually make money doing it? This week, I sit down with Stacie Edwards, a Farm Marketing School member who once felt nervous about charging “too much” for her meats. Today? She knows her numbers, prices for profit, and runs her business with the mindset of a CEO. But that transformation didn't happen overnight. Stacie's journey is full of hard-won lessons: from hiring her first coach, to outsourcing hog production, to finally letting go of the fear that held her back from charging what her work is truly worth. She shares the real story of what it takes to step out of a scarcity mindset and step into profitability—without apology.

Scientists bring us a lab-grown chicken nugget and texturally accurate, plant-based calamari. We'll bite. There's a movement in the world of science to find alternatives to meat and dairy products that don't involve killing animals. Two avenues for this are by using animal cells in a lab, or going plant-based. Two breakthroughs in this field of food science were published in journals recently: the largest lab-grown chicken nugget and a plant-based fried calamari that tastes like the real thing.Producer Kathleen Davis joins Host Flora Lichtman to discuss these morsels of research and other science news of the week, including mandatory composting hitting the largest U.S. city, why human wounds heal slower than our primate cousins, and the disinfecting limitations of at-home washing machines.
