Jason Koons has been with Sweetwater since mid 2000 when he accepted an internship in the Sales Department with ambitions of working his way into the recording studios( background and schooling). He was 20 years old and didn't really know who he was was yet, but quickly fell in love with all things Sales & Business Development. He spent 22 years truly sprinting, learning all he could about the craft and being an intentional student of sales, and that led to being the top producer for the company 17 of his 22 years as a Sales Engineer. What's more, those weren't just 17 years straight but each and every month of that as the top producer…203 consecutive months. He held the honor of having talked to more customers of Sweetwater's over his tenure than any other Sales Engineer and in his final month in that role, made the decision to find fulfillment in leadership at Sweetwater Sound. In January of '22 he accepted the role of Director of Sales Growth & Development where he could focus on bringing the already successful top-performers at Sweetwater to their next levels, as well as contribute to overall sales initiatives and company motions while growth continued. Jason grew up as an adult at Sweetwater…He is very grateful for the opportunities in life this company has afforded him and his family (and countless other families) and he cares deeply about maintaining Chuck's original vision and ethos while exploring new areas of growth. Jason Quotes: "This is about, really, chasing your bliss and, and finding your creative outlets." "Chuck Surack was and is still the most successful person I've ever met. So it just made sense for me to just model my ethos and, what I did around what he had done." "The thing I think I'm most proud of is that while, these days we're nearly a 1.7 billion company, 23 years after I had started, the culture aspect of it from 40 sales engineers to now 612 sales engineers, it just hasn't changed." jason_koons@sweetwater.com https://www.sweetwater.com/ Featured song for this episode is "Ride On", check it out on Spotify here https://open.spotify.com/track/5VQzjlHv7qZzyZIOSGkhjU?si=eb0d5a683f2e43d8 For a custom-branded song you can reach James at james@thejamesoconnoragency.com Apple podcast review link Please leave us a 5 Star review, its easy to do, and really helps up out to grow the show! https://digitalhealthtoday.com/support/how-to-review-itunes/ Thank you for doing this my friends! A welcome return into 2021, after our end of the year 2020 episode we start with a look back into a couple of questions from last time with a discussion on who actually does die the most in films if its not Sean Bean, and answering Ryan's question on how Donald Trump did end up in The Little Rascals film in the 1990s. We spend a length of time discussing all 22 billion dollars worth of content Disney dumped out plans for in December for the next few years. We cover the Star content being added to Disney Plus with Fox, ABC, and other content arriving. We talk through the dozen or so Star Wars Disney Plus shows and the expansion to the ILM Stagecraft Studios they have used in The Mandolorian. We talk LucasFIlm's content including Willow, more or last Indiana Jones, Patty Jenkins Rogue Squadron film, and then all the stuff Disney is putting both TV and Film to Disney Plus, including live-action, Animation, and Pixar, We then finish up with all their Marvel content too! After all that stuff, we talk Wonder Woman box office and viewing numbers on HBO Max, plus the fast tracked third film. Following the HBO Max dramas, we look at director and actors comments on HBO max, as well as the Mortal Komabt movies' date change, and the announcement of an Alien franchise series. We discuss more regarding AMC's issues and the future of cinema, as well as the loss of the last franchise Video stores in the US - Family Video. Some months ago we talked Lost City of D, now it appears it will be without Ryan Reynolds, before moving onto Netflix productions from the UK including Man Vs Bee with Rowan Atkinson. The annual update to the US Film Registry includes things like Blues Brothers, Dark Knight, and... uhhh... somehow Shrek. We talk there release date for Mad Max Furiousa, the internet loving Tom Cruise covid rant recording on the set of Mission Impossible, possibly buying MGM for $5.5 billion, the new Revenge of the Nerds and the Return of Night Court, and finish out talking about Jackass actors in hospital on day 2 of their fourth film and if we really want to see them do this to themselves in old age. We farewell Tommy Lister, Jeremy Bulloch, Dawn Wells, Marion Ramsey, Michael Apted, and Tanya Roberts before touching on a few trailers for Nobody, The Little Things, and Coming 2 America. We round out the episode with retro reviews of Karate Kid 2 and 3 from Ryan so that we could watch and discuss Cobra Kai season 3 for you all, before sitting down to have a proper round of chat regarding Wonder Woman 1984. Was it better or worse than the original to us, you'll have to listen to find out. Please like, subscribe, share and enjoy! In this episode of The Public Circle Podcast (the first in several months) I'm republishing a virtual town hall I hosted on Monday June 15, 2020 with Isobel Mackenzie, the B.C. Seniors Advocate. In February 2020 the Office of the Seniors Advocate published a report titled A Billion Reasons to Care. It is the first detailed review of British Columbia's contracted long-term care sector. The office analyzed contracts, annual statements, and revenue and expenditures from 2016/17-2017/18 of for-profit and non-profit operators in the $1.4 billion industry across the province. Mackenzie summarizes the findings in her cover letter. “You will read in the attached report of a funding and monitoring system that lacks the type of accountability, openness and transparency that both B.C. seniors and B.C. taxpayers deserve. The review also illustrates some marked differences in spending between contracted providers who are private businesses and those who are not-for-profit care societies.” Our conversation begins with an overview of the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on seniors and the long-term care sector. Mackenzie then presents the findings of her report followed by our discussion about the implications for all British Columbians. We also highlight that June 15th is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and the services available to seniors in reporting instances of abuse. As this recording is from a virtual town hall many of the questions come from the attendees. The B.C. Green Caucus was asking questions about the long-term care sector prior to the public health emergency and we will continue to ask the government about what they intend on doing to address the shortcomings in this report and the other vulnerabilities exposed by COVID-19.

On today's show I speak with BC Seniors Advocate Isobel MacKenzie about a new report called "A Billion Reasons to Care." It looks at the difficulty around reporting finances and hours worked within the assisted care home industry. I am joined by the Chief Economist and Vice-President of of the BC Business Council as it projects a slight decline in the economic outlook for the province. It has lowered it's economic increase for the year from 2.2% down to 2%. And it is a time for a quick look back as it is #TBT here on February 6th.
CHAPTER 1

Coupons and mobile are synonymous with mobile shopping aren't they? In fact, most of the early adopters for mobile shopping are consumers looking for deals. The funny thing is that what mobile brings to the coupon industry strays so far away from what a traditional coupon is that we should really consider changing their name. The reality is that the relationship between the coupon and mobile is growing and the impact over the next few years will be tremendous for those that embrace the changing landscape. What does that look like? Chuck gives us a glimpse here.
