Our Summer in the Cities tour hits Austin, where humid nights, neon-lit bars, and guitar solos spilling out of every doorway create a sound that is rootsy, rebellious, and relentlessly forward looking. From country soul divorce tales to genre bending blues epics, Don and Dude drop the needle on two records that pin Austin's independent spirit, musical diversity, and guitar obsessed heart to wax.The AlbumsWillie Nelson – Phases and Stages (1974)Phases and Stages finds Willie Nelson breaking from Nashville convention with a focused, empathetic divorce concept album that follows both the wife and husband through heartbreak, barroom coping, and hard won acceptance, all tied together by a recurring “phases and stages” theme. Warm Muscle Shoals grooves, unfussy arrangements, and Willie's conversational storytelling turn everyday moments like washing dishes, hanging at the corner beer joint, and nursing a Bloody Mary morning into a fully realized Texas breakup saga that feels as much Austin outlaw as it does country soul short story.Gary Clark Jr. – Blak and Blu (2012)Blak and Blu introduces Gary Clark Jr. as a modern Austin guitar hero who refuses to stay in one lane, blending Texas blues, fuzzed out rock, soul, RB, funk, and hip hop tinged production into a bold, genre fluid statement. From the brassy swagger of “Ain't Messin 'Round” and the fuzz drone of “Bright Lights” to the tender soul of “You Saved Me” and the stripped back “Next Door Neighbor Blues,” the record stretches blues tradition into the 21st century without losing its grit or its roots.Diggin' AlbumsViolet Grohl – Be Sweet To Me (2026)Moody alt rock that mixes 90s style guitar crunch with dreamy, emotionally raw songs.Quiet Riot – Metal Health (1983)Big hook early MTV metal packed with shout along choruses and head banging riffs.Doublespeak – Doublespeak (2026)Synth driven covers project that turns cult favorites into lush, modern electronic pop.Peter Frampton – Carry the Light (2026)Melodic late career rock set that pairs Frampton's signature guitar with reflective, guest studded songs.Follow & SupportFollow the show on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and Bluesky @albumnerds, and support the podcast by subscribing, rating, reviewing, and sharing it with another music obsessive who still loves hearing whole albums front to back.“There's so much energy in Austin, it's kind of the kernel of where all this music came from.” – Dave Grohl

In this episode of Kliq This, wrestling legend Kevin Nash and co-host Sean Oliver dive down an eclectic rabbit hole that effortlessly blends hard-hitting sports commentary with bizarre internet culture. The duo kicks things off with a wild exploration of viral conspiracy theories involving high-profile musicians before shifting gears to dissect the intricate nuances of modern wrestling contracts. Listeners will get an insider's look into the controversial clauses and behind-the-scenes financial strategies that shape the careers of today's biggest sports entertainment stars, proving once again that the real drama often happens far away from the squared circle. The conversation heats up as Nash brings his decades of industry experience to the table, delivering a blunt and unfiltered critique of recent televised matches and roster utilization. From analyzing the physical development and workout regimes of rising talent to pulling back the curtain on the chaotic environment of the backstage gorilla position, no topic is off-limits. The hosts challenge conventional booking logic and question the creative decisions of corporate executives, offering fans a masterclass in the stark differences between a live wrestling production and a polished feature film. Beyond the ring, the episode transitions into a lively blend of personal anecdotes and cultural commentary, ranging from treacherous road trips across the Canadian border to high-stakes current events. The energy remains high as the hosts engage in a fiercely competitive, theme-park-themed trivia battle that pits local reputations against each other in hilarious fashion. Packed with cynical wit, financial advice for young athletes, and rare stories from the dying days of WCW, this episode offers a captivating glimpse into the minds of two industry veterans who refuse to pull any punches. Don and Dude celebrate the Daves they know, zeroing in on how two very different Daves turned 90s rock into group therapy for anyone who ever yelled along in the car. From Charlottesville jam-club grooves to Seattle's loud-quiet-loud confessions, the guys dig into how hooks, heartache, and live-band chemistry turned these records into permanent fixtures in rock nerd DNA.The AlbumsDave Matthews Band – Under the Table and Dreaming (1994) Charlottesville road warriors turn their first major-label shot into a warm, rhythm-heavy introduction, stacking acoustic guitar patterns, sax, violin, and jazz-schooled drums into songs that feel more like living, breathing grooves than tidy radio singles. Centered on relationships, growing up, and finding your place, the record leans on loose structures, daydreamy lyrics, and a push-pull live-band feel where every part gets space to react, stretching from swirling jams to lullaby-like ballads without ever losing the easygoing pulse.Foo Fighters – The Colour and the Shape (1997) Seattle's post-Nirvana project locks in as a full band on a loud-quiet-loud breakup chronicle that plays like one long therapy session, opening with a whispered prelude before exploding into punk-tempo riffs and giant sing-along choruses. Fueled by Dave Grohl's divorce, re-cut drum tracks, and producer Gil Norton's demand for emotional clarity, it turns big guitars, compressed tension, and pop-smart hooks into an arc that runs from self-doubt to resolve, cementing the Foo Fighters' identity and setting the template for 2000s arena rock.Diggin' AlbumsFoo Fighters – Your Favorite Toy (2026) A tight, late-career jolt of punky, hooky rock that proves Grohl and crew can still turn volume and heart into instant sing-alongs.David Lee Roth – Crazy from the Heat (1985) A short, glammed-up lounge-pop detour where Diamond Dave turns standards into over-the-top 80s spectacle. The Reds, Pinks and Purples – Acknowledge Kindness (2026) Gentle, jangly indie pop for late-night walks, all soft edges, quiet hurt, and low-key glow.Billy Idol Should Be Dead (2025) – Film by Jonas Åkerlund. Follows Billy Idol's rise from punk roots and MTV superstardom to later-career survival and reinvention.Follow & Support Follow the show on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and Bluesky @albumnerds, and support by subscribing, rating, reviewing, and sharing with a fellow music obsessive who still loves hearing whole albums front to back.“I'm sorry, Dave. Welcome back to The Rizzuto Show, the daily comedy podcast where logic takes a backseat and chaos is riding shotgun. Today's episode kicks off with something we genuinely didn't have on our 2026 bingo card: Joe Exotic officially announcing he's running for president. Yes, the tiger guy. Yes, it's real. And yes, we spend a concerning amount of time debating whether he's actually a viable candidate—or just the most honest one we've ever seen. From there, things somehow get even more ridiculous. We dig into Dave Grohl's “secret” to keeping his voice intact during insane performances, and let's just say… if your doctor recommends whiskey and more whiskey, you might want a second opinion. But hey, if it works for the Foo Fighters, who are we to argue?Of course, no episode of this comedy podcast would be complete without a full round of celebrity chaos. We've got Taylor Momsen dealing with a nightmare spider bite that keeps getting worse (hard pass), Bachelor Nation drama that proves reality TV is still wildly unhinged, and a bizarre mix of entertainment gossip that somehow all connects back to “what is happening anymore?”Then we hit one of the most controversial moments of the show: a “Top 100 Rock Songs of All Time” list that sends the entire room into debate mode. The rankings? Questionable. The arguments? Loud. The conclusions? Nonexistent. Exactly how you want your daily comedy podcast discussions to go.We wrap things up the only way we know how—with random birthdays, historical facts, and a completely unnecessary (but absolutely essential) adult film star shoutout that somehow ties the whole episode together. Or at least… tries to.If you're here for a funny podcast packed with sarcastic humor, weird news, pop culture commentary, and the kind of daily show energy that makes you question everything—you're in the right place. Time extremely well spent with a master of storytelling... and barbecuing! Dave Grohl in the Dish studio. It finally happened. The award-winning musician and founder of Foo Fighters settled in for a delicious meal with Nick and Angela to discuss the band's forthcoming album, My Favourite Toy. The record - the group's twelfth - is out on Friday 24 April ahead of a worldwide tour that includes two dates at Liverpool's Anfield Stadium. From Nirvana, Foos and Them Crooked Vultures to collaborations with the likes of David Bowie, Juliette Lewis, and Paul McCartney, the world of Dave Grohl is a great place to orbit. Add in his incredible passion for wine, food and, in particular, the art of slow-cooking and barbecues, and it's a Dish episode like no other. Angela goes low and slow for the main course, with a serving of Spanish-style lamb accompanied by roast potatoes with confit garlic and rosemary and a side of new-season asparagus. The Waitrose wine experts selected a bottle of Muga Selección Especial Reserva Rioja to accompany the lamb. The trio also enjoy a glass of Jameson Triple Triple Distilled Irish Whiskey as they realise that Angela and Dave have a lot more in common than you might initially think. On this episode we dive into the raw, cathartic beginnings of Foo Fighters' self-titled debut. Written and recorded almost entirely by Dave Grohl, the record feels like a personal reset button. It's loose, loud, and surprisingly melodic, packed with the kind of deep cuts that hint at everything the band would eventually become once fully realized. Welcome to another Friday edition of The Rizzuto Show — your favorite daily dose of chaos disguised as a comedy podcast. Today's episode kicks off with something rare for us: actual useful information. There's a major iPhone spyware warning making the rounds, and yes, we strongly recommend updating your phone unless you want your personal data casually hanging out with the Russian mafia. No big deal.Of course, we can't stay serious for long. Within minutes, we're deep into one of the most heated debates of the year: the Mount Rushmore of Canadian rock bands. Rush is a lock, but after that? Things get… aggressive. Nickelback enters the chat, Bryan Adams gets defended way too passionately, and somehow we all leave more confused than when we started. It's the kind of argument that proves this comedy podcast is less about answers and more about yelling confidently. From there, we roll into “Crap On Celebrities,” where we cover everything from ACDC health updates to Nine Inch Nails rumors, Dave Grohl's very public therapy era, and Jelly Roll dropping motivation that honestly makes us feel like we should go for a walk… but probably won't.Then things take a turn into reality TV chaos. A Bachelorette season gets completely scrapped after some pretty wild footage surfaces, and we try to wrap our heads around how you go from “Will you marry me?” to “This show no longer exists.” It's messy, it's uncomfortable, and naturally, we talk about it way too long.We also hit rock band logos, Fox Theatre stories (including a tequila-fueled season ticket decision that aged exactly how you'd expect), Chuck Norris being indestructible, and John Stamos getting his first tattoo at 62 — because apparently we're all just figuring things out as we go.It's loud, it's all over the place, and it's exactly what you expect from a Friday comedy podcast with The Rizzuto Show.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Comedian and actor Taran Killam (Saturday Night Live, High Potential, 12 Years a Slave) and actor Jenn Lyon (Claws, The English Teacher, Dead Boy Detectives) join Jameela and immediately reveal themselves to be two of the purest, yet most deeply unhinged people she has ever encountered.Taran opens with a micro humiliation for the ages: the time he forgot every lyric to the same Hamilton song he'd performed hundreds of times, in front of 1,300 high school kids who knew every single word. His Big Wrong Turn, however, takes us back to 2001 and a backstage encounter with Tenacious D and Dave Grohl that begins with hero worship, escalates through increasingly desperate attempts at shock humor, and ends with Jack Black delivering the most devastating possible verdict on his presence in the room.Jenn's micro humiliation is a masterclass in the cruelty of school nicknames, and how she went from "Majestic Lemon", to "Derbis", to "Two Tut" all within her fourth grade year. Her Big Wrong Turn arrives courtesy of the Atkins diet, a metric ton of sugar-free candy, and the particular horror of realizing mid-song, in full period corsetry, that something has gone catastrophically wrong inside your tights.Along the way, Jameela reveals a friend's long-running photo-bombing habit that has somehow survived the #MeToo era, and explains exactly why she could never, ever do a play or a TED Talk.Misery Loves Company comes from Greg, whose college habit of casually exposing a testicle in public went unnoticed until a woman asking for directions clocked it and offered some gentle medical advice.Watch Taran Killam and Jenn Lyon in Stumble, Fridays on NBC and streaming on Peacock.Jameela's Substack is A Low Desire To Please, you can also find her on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Our consulting producer is Colin Anderson.Wrong Turns was created and produced by Jameela Jamil and Stewart Bailey.
