Jest pewien typ osobowości, który jest SUPERtypem!Radzi sobie doskonale w każdych warunkach.Świetnie się komunikuje. Dogaduje się z każdą osobą, bo z każdym potrafi sobie poradzić...Cher właśnie krzyczy "Do You Believe?" Wiesz to?

Ever had that feeling when you're speaking to someone, and no matter what you say, it just doesn't seem to resonate with them? Welcome to today's episode of the Conscious Marketer podcast. Today, Kylie and I delve deep into the secret behind every interaction: The Process Communication Model, or PCM. This is not just another "personality type" system, instead, it's a revolutionary model that explains how each one of us perceives the world. There are six distinct ways, and understanding them can be the key to more meaningful, impactful conversations. Let's journey together to create deeper connections, and more impactful communications, and truly understand the secret behind every interaction. Tune in to this new episode of The Conscious Marketer podcast — The Secret Behind Every Interaction Key points covered in this episode: 00:00:01 Introduction 00:01:27 Understanding the PCM system helps in perceiving the world. The six different ways to perceive the world are discussed, along with the value of communicating in the style and perception preferred by the listener. 00:08:08 Understanding the Process Communication Model (PCM). The model helps in understanding how different people perceive and communicate, shedding light on why certain individuals resonate with certain types of language and messages. 00:11:40 The significance of PCM in marketing. In this episode, we look deep inside our brains at the neuroscience of our stress response with Magda Tabac - simply and practically!
Adam Barlow-Thompson, co-founder of The Neighboring Movement, wants us to meet our actual neighbors. While that may seem like a simple idea, research (and perhaps experience) shows us that few of us truly engage our neighbors. Adam invites us to move from the theoretical ‘love your neighbor' to the literal: meet your neighbors in the eight houses or apartments around you and discover the gifts God has given them. Adam does not simply offer a rosy picture of neighboring. He relates a story of a neighbor who slammed the door on his colleague one day, and a year later embraced the chance to work with neighbors in a community garden. Neighboring is a long-term investment in relationships. The Neighboring Movement is not a numerical church-growth program with an aim to get more people in pews, rather a shift in mindset from scarcity to abundance that ultimately results in a congregation's increased joy.
“Cât a luat colegul?” If you exist alone on a desert island, you can do what you want, when you want, and how you want. However, none of us have this luxury in the business world. We all rely on others to get things done. When we’re trying to get something done together, differences start to matter. According to Dr. Nate Regier, those differences show up in the way we communicate with one another. In fact, our very personalities are expressed in our communication preferences. Nate joins me on the People at Work podcast to explain how the Process Communication Model® helps us make sense of this. This is not just another personality assessment tool. It’s a model of personality and communication, that helps individuals understand themselves better and learn behavioural skill sets and self-management competencies. Not only does this model help us make sense of who we are and grow, it’s vital in helping leaders take care of themselves and people around them. By learning how to communicate better, we reduce stress and enhance compassion. Two key outcomes all leaders should be striving for. About our guest: Nate Regier, PhD, is the CEO and founding owner of Next Element Consulting, a global leadership firm helping companies build cultures of Compassionate Accountability®. Dr. Regier is a former practicing psychologist and expert in social-emotional intelligence, interpersonal communication, and leadership. He shares his expertise as a keynote speaker, author, and podcaster. Nate loves to bar-be-que and once won a competition for his Jamaican Jerk chicken wings. How different would organizational cultures look, if leaders stopped projecting their wants and needs onto their team and instead began listening to the way their employees want to be treated? How different would communities, outside of the workplace, look if we stopped focusing inward and instead, began focusing on the needs of everyone else? It’s time to say goodbye to the Golden Rule—treat others the way I’d like to be treated—and hello, to the Platinum Rule—treat others as they’d like to be treated. What We Discuss with Dr. Nate Regier in this Episode What is personality diversity What is the Process Communication Model and how does it work How leaders can support their people as their core needs change How we bring more compassion into the workplace How we can have conflict without casualties Who is responsible for culture in an organization Diversity, inclusion and innovation Episode Show Notes: https://tinyurl.com/y2ednnfa
In this episode of The Leadership Coaching Group, Liz is talking with Dr. Nate Regier. Nate specializes in personality diversity, a former practicing psychologist and an expert in social, emotional intelligence, interpersonal communication, and leadership. Listen to what Nate has to say about personality diversity. Nate shares what the title of his book, Seeing People Through, means, the different types of personalities, and what they really mean. Nate believes there are six predictable clusters of behavior that come from self-sabotaging patterns: overcontrolling, pushing beliefs, making silly mistakes, isolation, manipulation, and blaming. Listen, as Nate discusses how, as a leader, you can approach a team member that you see exhibiting these types of behaviors and what tank filling is. Nate shares some ways to handle being promoted above your people skills and how to create a safe space for a leader in a negative environment. Nate also speaks about interaction safety, some hindrances to avoid, and one piece of advice for new leaders. In This Episode [01:03] Welcome to the show, Nate! [01:17] Nate shares that seeing people through is probably the truest meaning of the word inclusion. [02:18] Nate discusses his background and his journey to where he is now. [04:00] Listen as Nate speaks about what personalities really are and the different types. [06:38] What happens when leaders can see personality types are out of alignment with themselves? [07:57] Nate shares some predictable self-sabotaging behavior patterns that lead to six predictable clusters of behavior. [09:37] Nate discusses ways to self regulate and self manage to see changes that indicate you are in distress. [10:38] As a leader, how do you approach a team member who is derailing and having some of these behaviors? [11:59] Tank filling is the psychological needs for each of the six types. [13:17] Nate shares what you can do when you are promoted above your people skills. [15:31] Nate discusses how to help create a safe space for a leader with good people skills but not as much knowledge of the team. [17:55] One of the biggest hindrances to interaction safety is if you are not curious. [19:06] Nate says that compassion can help bolster interaction safety. [20:36] If you don't let people know what we are struggling with, you don't allow them to see you through. [21:37] Why do you think people find it so hard to share their struggles? [23:17] Nate shares one piece of advice for new leaders. [24:01] Thank you for listening! Nate Regier and Aoife O’Brien speak about his latest book, Seeing People Through. This is a fable-based book which focuses on the types in people (rather than types of people). We speak about compassion, the importance of diversity of personality, PCM - observable communication behaviours - hypocrisy; honesty; influence; self-deception; trust, the importance of leveraging diversity towards a shared goal, the importance of personality diversity in D&I, how ‘like attracts like’ creates an echo chamber, values vs belief systems, vs needs satisfaction - 'so what, now what?’ leads to taking action The 6 types are - thinker, harmoniser, promoter, persister, imaginer, rebel. Stressed? You’re not alone. In fact, women in the US are nearly twice as stressed as men. Not only do we register stress events more strongly, we often react both physically and mentally, all while taking care of family responsibilities and working to grow and profit from our businesses. Dr. Eris Huemer Winans is the founder of FACE it, a company that is changing the face of mental health. In this “Lesson On Self-Care”, we speak about the ways that women entrepreneurs can deal with stress, and one of the biggest challenges that impact women entrepreneurs who are making change. TOPICS DISCUSSED IN THIS EPISODE: Being NOT OK. OK. And A-OK. How to deal with the news and when not watching can make you more stressed. What are the top three ways women can take care of their mental health People are speaking more openly about their mental health issues How to create a state of mind that allows you to look at the world and get through any obstacles The strategies that women entrepreneurs can use to move themselves to OK and beyond The #1 thing Dr. Eris recommends doing daily to stay in a good state of mind How to rewire your brain if you’re experiencing “mom guilt” Dr. Eris’s “Life Lens” and the eight areas she looks at her life to maintain harmony Dr. Eris’s “Process Communication Model” and the six different personality types that woman leaders fall into Why women play smaller What to do when other people don’t get your vision The number one thing that women disruptors can do to take care of their mental health What does self-esteem have to do with it? #LESSONUP (6:02) I think that it's very important to filter the time spent watching news, especially if you're anxiety prone, you're super sensitive and you get shaken up with the world events as we all do. Because globally we all feel a sense of anxiety because there is so much unknown in the world right now. We don't know where things are going and because we have all of this conflicting information from politics to the news, we don't always know necessarily what is accurate and not accurate. (8:35) I think it's so important for us to acknowledge that it is OK to not be OK. It is OK for us just to be OK. It is OK. All of this is OK if I am hurting, if I am anxious, if I am sad, if I am grieving, if I am depressed, if I am any of these things. It's OK. And it's acknowledging the fact that I'm either not OK or just OK that I can then find hope to feeling better, which is an A-OK state of mind. (10:25) Set boundaries and following through with them instead of not setting boundaries and making them as if they're threats that you don't intend to carry out. (12:02) We have to rewire our brain. Number one. I'm a mom. I have a six and a half year old and I love to work. I know that I as a parent, I am here to be an example to my child on how I want them to be in the world. So it's how I am living by example. Behaviorally and what my behaviors are, what he sees me doing, what he sees my husband doing, how we communicate, all of these things is how my son is becoming in the world. So I am teaching him how to become by how I am. So that's number one. (17:10) I think that as women we've overcome, We're the minority. We've come into the world and we have to fight differently. We have to prove ourselves differently. We have to overcome so many obstacles that are different, especially when we're working or putting ourselves out there. Of course we view the world through a different lens than men. I'm just coming from the perspective of a personality type and how we would lead. I think there are so many different women out there that we all lead differently. (19:25) As a woman, when you are a leader and you are revolutionizing the system and you're putting yourself out there and you're wanting to change the world depending on in what industry or on whatever level. I think the number one thing that I see is women growing into their own strengths, finding their strengths and their self esteem and believing in themselves. And I see that as taking time and experience. So if you have a vision and you want to do something as a leader and changing the world in whichever way you're wanting to, it's like giving yourself time for growth and experience and repetition and all of those things. And once you do that, you build that self esteem because that strength is what shines through. (22:00) We allow people around us to make us feel bad about our strengths and our desires and our vision and all of these things. So we play smaller and play smaller. We actually put ourselves into insecurity. Like we're trying to fit in this box of maybe what these other women are, how they're living their lives or how we feel like we should be. And we're living too big. So I think that you need to have an intuition, you have to have something within you that wants you to do more. So you need to stay true to that and be honest with yourself. And that takes time and practice.
How many times have you received a piece of direct mail or an email and didn't read it? Probably many times, right? But don't feel guilty about it. More often than not, it's because of HOW the letter was written. It's not because you are too lazy to read the content. Remember, it is not a question of WHAT but a question of HOW. Unfortunately, there are hundreds of organizations wasting their precious time sending letters that instantly turn off readers. In this episode, we’ll explain what to consider when writing and how you can win your audience. Part One of ‘Who’s Hearing Your Message’ Let's talk about two significant concepts that you need to embrace when you write. First is the Adaptive Communication, and the second one is the Process Communication Model (PCM) by Dr. Taibi Kahler. You probably know by now how we want to maximize adaptive communication, most notably for businesses. For those who might need a refresher, adaptive communication means that you tailor your message depending on someone's personality, needs, and abilities. An example is avoiding technical terms or jargon if you are speaking to someone outside of your industry. By using the principles of adaptive communication, you will be more careful and cautious with your language so that your readers can fully understand what you meant. Process Communication Model, on the other hand, explains that we all have different personality structures made up of multiple personality types, as identified below. Feeler Thinker Believer Dreamer Funster or a Rebel Promoter While we all have these in our system, we are naturally able to energize only two or three traits. It means one person can be more of a 'feeler' than a 'thinker.' Others can be a 'dreamer' and a 'promoter.' There's no perfect mix, and one personality doesn't mean it's better than the other. Now, how can we use this concept when writing? Say, for example, you are a non-profit organization. What if you have a diverse audience with different types of personalities? How would you construct your newsletters or direct mails? By using the base concept of the Process Communication Model, the best practice is to ensure that your letter addresses the needs of different people. It would help if you used varying languages. Perhaps, use specific colors as well. You have to understand which channel of communication most people prefer. That way, you can tap a considerable percentage of your audience. "Before someone reads your message, they might have already been turned off and won't even read the paragraph." - Cindy Hunt (02:30-02:36) In the podcast, you will see how they compared the structure of an actual letter from what is actually recommended. From there, you will notice a lot of discrepancies. Now, this is not to say that the letter was wrong. However, it could have been better. If the right concepts were followed, they could gain more traction. It will be more effective. Part Two of ‘Who’s Hearing Your Message’ "People need time to reflect and react spontaneously." - Cindy Hunt (07:51-07:56) Most successful leaders, celebrities, and other renowned icons have understood the importance of knowing your audience. It's how they create their speeches or letters to the public. It's not about the content itself, but how they constructed the message in written form. As for you, take advantage of learning these principles. That way, you can substantially improve your communication, reduce conflicts, and even motivate and persuade your audience. How to Get Involved Today's workplace is filled with diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and skills. This can catapult creative problem solving but result in communication challenges and conflict that derail a company's fast-paced progress. Adaptive communication enables people to understand one another and quickly resolve conflict—regardless of background, demographics, age, or educational level. Employees gain the tools to lead innovation, generate support for ideas, and reduce communication breakdowns. "If you place kindness and compassion as the heart of what you do, you will create a ripple effect that will benefit the 'individual' and the 'company' in equal measure." Ils ont donc dit "Taibi, money is no object on va financer tes recherches, assure-toi qu'on puisse former notre staff".
