The "dark enlightenment" movement today, spearheaded by Curtis Yarvin, seeks to achieve something similar to what Technocracy Inc., and Elon Musk's maternal grandfather Joshua Haldeman, strived for nearly a hundred years ago. Yarvin wants to replace the current U.S. Government with a technocratic-monarchy ruled by a king, whereas Haldeman wanted to replace market-based economics  and political governance with a system where experts made decisions based on data, efficiency and technological feasibility.
