Hozzáállásuk példával szolgálhat mindazok számára, akik életvitelszerűen szeretnék művelni a fotográfiát.
"I use photography to help me explain my experiences to myself." -- Duane Michals "A picture should be looked at - not talked about." -- Elliott Erwitt In this final episode of 2023, Antonio and Ward warmly reminisce about the year. Antonio talks about his new interest in fountain pens, linking it to his love for photography and the therapeutic act of journaling, reflecting on how these activities encourage a more thoughtful approach to life and art. Ward gives his perspective on recent technological shifts, particularly the implications of smartphones and AI in photography, and both of them express excitement and concern for the future of the craft. Ward also shares his aspiration to venture into outdoor fashion photography, inspired by the iconic style of Peter Lindbergh, demonstrating his desire to explore and expand his creative horizons. Looking forward, Antonio is enthusiastic about his teaching endeavors, preparing to introduce students to the world of Lightroom Classic and the art of making zines. Credited with the invention of the concept of supermodels, Peter Lindbergh was one of the most respected fashion photographers. Untold Stories, the current exhibition at the Espace Vanderborght offers a unique perspective on his work, covering the totality of his career through photos, videos and very large formats. It's a unique show because Peter curated it entirely on his own.
A 29. adás vendége Bodogán Sándor fotográfus, tanár, igazi self-made man. A beszélgetéshez jó szórakozást kívánok!-------------FONTOS:A wopcast-et támogathatod Patreon-on és egyszerű utalással is. PAT TRACEY: Grew up into a medical family in Trinidad and Tobago, which then migrated to Antigua. After a stint as a flight attendant, Pat burst onto the runway in 1980 as a professional fashion model for Issey Miyake - with whom she worked very closely, along with Kenzo, Gianfranco Ferre, Yves St Laurent, Chanel, Patrick Kelly, Giorgio Armani and others. Her work arena became Europe and Tokyo. She was photographed by the great photographer, Peter Lindbergh, for Italian Bazaar, and graced Essence and other magazines. She enjoyed commercial work with such clients as Avon, Clairol, Revlon, Clairol, Emanuel Ungaro, Harry Winston and Fendi, donning swimwear in the Sahara or bicycling in the Montana glaciers. She has been represented by agents such as Wilhelmina, Ford in New York City and top European agencies with present representation still by Wilhemina. Beside being a world traveler, a natural transition for her was to become a portrait, travel and lifestyle photographer, but she also continued her love for tie-dyeing which has extended into a successful tie-dye clothing line, called Mayaro, named after a beach in Trinidad, she frequented as a child. Still enjoying the constant work in the modeling realm, Pat also enjoys giving back, offering full service career coaching to aspiring models, as well as professional image and etiquette consultation. She helps them build their model portfolios and understand the business, with pageant headshots forming a large percentage of her business. Pat learned from an early age with her grandmother who managed a large orphanage in Trinidad, the importance of giving back to the youth and keeping one's feet firmly planted on the ground, Lessons that have sustained her throughout her life.
He began his career in the early 1980s working for South African NGOs, and photographing current events for news agencies and foreign newspapers. Episode 079 | Shifting Perspectives through Gratitude, Happiness, and Legacy with Clarence Gabriel, Photographer and Storyteller IG: @ClarenceGabriel Website: clarencegabriel.com As a storyteller and photographer, Clarence is a city guy with a curiosity and passion to find and tell beautiful and creative stories. The camera is his medium and the images are his words. He began shooting photography in 2014, to unlock his creative juices, capturing architectural details in Downtown, Los Angeles, CA. Inspired by the works of Peter Lindbergh, Jean-Paul Goude and Annie Leibovitz, Clarence has come to find his voice in portrait and lifestyle, among others. Clarence believes that when you choose to stand in front of the camera it becomes an experience - an exchange of energy. He makes it his job to capture your story in a way that is beautiful and timeless. It happens when he and his client come to a mutual place of trust. That is when the magic is made. Whether it is celebratory, intimate or vulnerable, it is always beautiful. IT IS ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL. Clarence holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis is Marketing.
