Please share your thoughts, feedback, and questions. I would love to hear from you.Navigating emotional hurt in relationships requires understanding the complex dance between our inner worlds and interpersonal dynamics. When your partner's words sting, there's often more happening beneath the surface than meets the eye. The concept of emotional projection transforms how we interpret relationship pain. Your partner's criticisms, accusations, or dismissals frequently reflect their own unresolved issues rather than your shortcomings. By recognizing this psychological mechanism, you can avoid taking hurtful interactions personally while maintaining presence and compassion during difficult conversations. What makes this exploration particularly fascinating is the electromagnetic component of our interactions. Beyond words and body language, relationships operate within energetic fields where emotions create tangible atmospheres. This invisible dynamic explains why some connections feel instantly comfortable while others generate tension despite pleasant conversation. Understanding these energy patterns helps interpret what's truly happening when communication breaks down.Healing hurt feelings demands practical skills: using "I statements" to express pain without blame, choosing appropriate timing for sensitive discussions, asking open-ended questions that invite honest sharing, and practicing reflective listening that validates your partner's experience. These techniques create safe spaces where both partners can express vulnerability without fear of judgment or retaliation. The path forward requires patience, diplomatic communication, and sometimes professional guidance. By approaching relationship challenges as opportunities for deeper understanding and connection rather than battles to be won, couples transform pain into growth. Send us a textIn this season, I'm opening up and sharing my personal story, and in today's episode, I'll take you through the struggles in my own marriage and how we were able to turn things around. As I work with couples, especially power couples and entrepreneurs, I've noticed a recurring pattern, and it all stems from the balance (or imbalance) of masculine and feminine energies.I'll explain how these energies influence our relationships, how they shift after major life changes like having children, and why this often causes friction in marriages. Drawing from my own experiences, I'll share practical advice on how to restore that balance, reignite intimacy, and rebuild a deep connection with your partner. This is a vulnerable, honest look at what I've been through, and how these lessons can help transform your relationship too.Key Takeaways:How the imbalance of masculine and feminine energies can lead to conflict in relationships. The impact of shifting into masculine energy in the workplace and how it affects dynamics at home.Actionable steps to restore polarity and reignite attraction between partners. The importance of surrendering to your authentic energy to build a stronger connection.Dimple's personal story of overcoming relationship struggles and finding balance.Thank you so much for listening to this episode of Beyond the Words. We'll discuss how One Fair Wage, despite their abysmal record on getting legislation passed and ballot initiatives certified, continues to knock it out of the park when it comes to headlines and influence. Just this week, Vice-President Harris announced her economic plan which includes elimination of the tip credit. How is One Fair Wage doing it? We'll discuss. And we'll have a quick recap of the presidential debate and see if there are any learnings in there for us there. We'll talk about those issues and wrap it up with the legislative scorecard.

This is the last episode of the season, but we'll be back very soon after a short summer hiatus. We couldn't think of a more perfect guest to end things off with than multi-hyphenate Kamie Crawford. She has quite the CV. She's a producer and creator, the host of MTV's Catfish: The TV Show, Are You The One? *and* Ex on the Beach, a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, and the former Miss Teen USA 2010. She also has her very own relationship advice podcast, Relationshi*t. Kamie originally wanted to be a dermatologist, but quickly pivoted to communications after taking biology in college and hating it. she did local red carpet interviews and sent her reel to different news stations. She even moved to New York and modeled while trying to land TV hosting work that never came. Things changed in 2018 when someone in casting for Catfish reached out to see if she'd be interested in guest hosting with star Nev Schulman. She was a natural and landed a spot as a full-time host. In today's episode of Girlboss Radio, Kamie talks about lying on her job application to land her first job at American Apparel, when to know which career opportunities to say "yes" to, and how being delusional is the reason she got to where she is today. We've all been in this scenario:Your partner asks or remarks to you on something that you don't want to do. Since we're scared of disappointing them and want to avoid a fight, we "smokescreen" our truth and placate them. This often leads to heaviness, lack of play, mind reading, and tension. The solution? “IT'S THAT IMPORTANT TO ME.”In this talk, Galit and I unpack why using this sentence playfully with ownersh!t, can help you become more authentic and open with your partner.Examples are given from the clinic and our life.Practical tips will help you speak this simple truth effectively in your relationship.Click here to join our mailing list and get free resources on enriching relationships every week to your inbox!Click here for more information on our upcoming online couples workshop.https://www.psychologytoday.com/intl/blog/the-other-side-relationshipshttp://podcast.potentialstate.com/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXwdZhwQFgUcRQgZoI_L2Uwhttps://www.facebook.com/ThePotentialStatehttps://twitter.com/assaelSupport the show (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=Q5AG6K7L8GYKA&source=url)
