Ajay Chowdhury was the first winner of the Harvill Secker Bloody Scotland Prize. His 'Kamil Rahman' crime stories are incredibly successful, works on various boards, ran a global deep-tech business, and co-founded Shazam! Also he runs a few groups, and is a theatre director. He's a busy man. He's back with 'Eden Falls', a thriller about Adam and Aisha, who are about to go on their honey. Only, Adam disappears at the airport along with Aisha's passport, simply leaving behind the message, 'I'm sorry'. What follows is a chase across the USA, diving into the shadowy world of weaponised AI.Ajay is very open about how he uses AI when writing - to bounce ideas off, for quick searching - and in a world in which many authors are scared of AI's place in creativity, Ajay thinks that it's here to stay, so he may aswell make the most of it.We discuss how he balances creativity with business, and has the energy to stick with ideas through to the finish. We also talk about changing his writing style, how he gets to know his characters, and the simple letters he remembers to get things done.Get a copy of the book at uk.bookshop.org/shop/writersroutineSupport the show - patreon.com/writersroutineko-fi.com/writersroutine@writerspodwritersroutine.com Hosted on Acast. Roberto and Jon are back for another unscripted Tailoring Talk Magazine catch-up, recorded from two very different locations: Roberto at home and Jon sitting in a hot car in a country park, trying to escape the sounds of barbecues, dogs, children and general British summer chaos. The conversation starts with Roberto's new Arsenal Women Trailblazers podcast, why he's committed to building a consistent space for Arsenal Women fans, and how that sits alongside the usual Tailoring Talk mix of style, tech, cars, culture and general nonsense. From there, Roberto and Jon get into the rising cost of consumer technology, including MacBooks, iPads, Apple TV, games consoles, Steam hardware, PlayStation, Xbox and whether Apple's next wave of products could push more people into keeping older devices for longer. Roberto explains why he's trying to use what he already owns, including an old Canon DSLR and his Omega Seamaster, rather than constantly upgrading everything. They also talk Apple Watch battery life, the action button, Shazam, gaming, Nintendo Switch 2, the problems facing Xbox, and whether AI is quietly making every gadget more expensive. The second half moves through cycling, e-bikes, road bikes, mental health, summer fitness, Jon's camping dilemma, the brilliance of Sugar on Apple TV, Colin Farrell's wardrobe, Supergirl costume design, Tank Girl nostalgia, 007 First Light, and why combustion engine performance cars may suddenly be holding their value better than expected. There's also a look at Roberto's BMW M2, the reality of car ownership, salary sacrifice EVs, whether people actually need cars anymore, and why the answer depends entirely on your lifestyle.A wide-ranging, funny and very Tailoring Talk conversation covering Apple, AI, gadgets, gaming, watches, cameras, cycling, TV, films, cars, pets, camping and the strange business of trying to live a slightly more analogue life in an increasingly expensive digital world.

Call him Benny Bogey! Ben Maller trades major championship dreams for the glorious chaos of Holey Moley, where miniature golf, cocktails, and questionable athleticism collide. Plus, the Phrase of the Week returns with the surprising origin of "Holy Moly!"—the famous exclamation popularized by comic book heroes like Batman and Shazam. Jace and Rocky break down all 17 DC releases for the week of June 24, 2026. They discuss Detective Comics #1100, where Batman, Green Arrow and Black Canary continue investigating Prion's past while the mystery surrounding the young assassin tied to his grave becomes more complicated. Bizarro Year None #2 follows Perry White and Jimmy Olsen as they try to understand the strange rules of Bizarro's square world as the series begins framing this as a distorted Bizarro origin story. Harley Quinn #63 continues Harley's darker current direction as the monochromatic infection and her fractured emotional state push her further from the zanier version of the character. Absolute Superman #20 returns with a massive battle against King Shazam as Superman, Steel and Hawkman are forced to confront whether overwhelming power can be stopped without sacrificing innocent lives. Green Lantern #36 reconnects Kyle Rayner and Jade while Odyssey's identity and past remain in question. Gotham Academy: First Year #5 follows Olive Silverlock's nightmare as it forces her to confront fears about her mother's legacy while Batman and the Gotham Academy cast move closer to the final issue. Absolute Wonder Woman #21 focuses on Absolute Wonder Woman's time in Hell separating her from Barbara Minerva, whose captivity and connection to a dangerous feline god open new questions about her future. The Peril of the Brutal Dark: An Ezra Cain Mystery #5 sees Ezra Cain's pulp adventure escalate into a Nazi-blimp action sequence that leans hard into the series' darker Indiana Jones energy. Flash #34 has Ryan North explain Flash's new precognitive ability through data, speed and probability while keeping the story light, accessible and emotionally grounded. Superman #39 pushes Superboy-Prime through multiple comic-book realities as Manchester Black tests whether he has truly changed, while Dan Mora shifts art styles to match each world. Superman: Father of Tomorrow #2 sees Jor-El refuse to let Kryptonian technology be used for weapons while Lex Luthor secretly moves forward with non-lethal weapon development, and the issue brings in Klarion and John Constantine as magic emerges as a weakness for this version of Superman. Wonder Woman #34 brings Wonder War to Diana's confrontation with Matriarch, as the fight centers on whether Wonder Woman's willpower can overcome a Green Lantern ring that Matriarch has spent years forcing to obey her. The issue also ends with Diana making a drastic choice involving the God Killer sword. Justice League Unlimited #20 has Wonder Woman nearly reach Brainiac Queen before Lex Luthor's arrogance and his use of Warp ruin the Justice League's chance to turn her, leaving her missing and possibly setting up a "Cyber Earth" timeline. Swamp Thing 1989 #3 brings Rick Veitch's long-delayed story to its most epic chapter yet, with Swamp Thing existing across different points in DC history and Darkseid appearing in a way that fits the elemental scope of the story. Zatanna #3 pits Zatanna against Agent Di Manes, whose power of quietude suppresses her voice and directly attacks the way she uses magic, while the story also involves Elodi and a muse spirit tied to a dead singer. Summer of Supergirl Special #1 continues from Lobo #4, putting Supergirl and Lobo on trial while Crush, Krypto and Dawg get pulled into the chaos, and the special also includes a Supergirl/Mary Marvel team-up plus a Mark Waid story connecting different versions of Supergirl's history. Justice League: Dream Girls #4 concludes with the Justice League apologizing to Galaxy and giving her mission leader rank, while Dreamer chooses not to join the League yet because she still needs to understand her powers on her own. They also give a rundown of this week's collected editions, reprints and facsimile releases. As always, all books are ranked from top to bottom and each host gives a Book of the Week pick.

Disclaimer: Kapitalanlagen bergen Risiken. Jackie can't wait for MORE eps of "Margo's got Money Troubles" plus Jackie's started "Real Housewives of Rhode Island" and it's beautiful, MJ's got some MURDER BITCHES FOR YA after they watched "Should I Marry A Murder?", the "Baby Reindeer" dude made somethin' new, and much more! We enter the home stretch of the pre-Gunn DCU with Shazam: Fury of the Gods, a confused and inert mess of glop, nonsense and awful dialogue anchored by the unbearable anti-charisma of future Jesuslop washup Zachary Levi. Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu are wasted. Rachel Zegler needs a new agent; Diedrich Bader gets killed and nobody seems to notice; and the barely-explored villain scheme is stolen, inexplicably, from The Simpsons Movie. Needless to say, none of the teasers for future 'Shazam' installments will be paying off. Ever. Hollywood Is Broken—And That's Why Zachary Levi Is Building Something New Actor, entrepreneur, and faith-driven creator Zachary Levi (Chuck, Shazam!) sits down with Justin Forman at SXSW to pull back the curtain on Hollywood, authentic storytelling, and his bold new venture: Wyldwood—an independent studio and intentional community designed to fix what's broken in entertainment and in the way we live. From the untold true story of Sarah Rector—a 10-year-old Black girl in early 1900s Tulsa who prayed over her land, struck oil, and became the richest woman in America—to the AI flood rising around us, Zachary shares why he believes faith-driven creators are called to build arks, not abandon ship. Key Topics • Sarah's Oil: The remarkable true story of a 10-year-old girl whose childlike faith turned 160 acres into the largest pure oil reserve in North America • Why excellent storytelling—not preaching—is how faith gets metabolized by culture • Zachary's faith journey: from near-suicidal darkness eight years ago to a deeper, wider, more grace-filled walk with God • The identity trap: what acting taught him about separating your work from your worth • Wyldwood: building a modern-day Hershey, Pennsylvania for artists—intentional community, redemptive storytelling, and an answer to AI • Why AI is a biblical flood—and why that's the reason to build, not retreat Notable Quotes "When I started working in Hollywood and I got my first look behind the curtain and I saw how all the sausage was made, I was heartbroken because I care too much about other human beings and excellence to find myself working in an industry that doesn't care about either of those things." — Zachary Levi "There is a way to get messaging in your art that is not proselytizing. There's a way. And that is the way." — Zachary Levi "A biblical flood is coming. It's not rain, it is technology. And the ground is already permeating. The water is rising." — Zachary Levi
Mythology never really went away… it just started showing up in comic books. In this Moving Panels: One Shot, Laramy is joined by his wife Bethany to explore the deep connections between ancient mythology and modern superheroes. From characters pulled straight from legend like Thor and Hercules, to myth-inspired heroes like Moon Knight, Wonder Woman, Shazam, Aquaman, and Black Panther, this episode dives into how these stories are built on the foundations of gods, archetypes, and timeless themes. They also discuss how mythology has shaped even the most iconic heroes like Superman, the role of the Hero's Journey, and why these stories continue to resonate across generations. Are comic books just inspired by mythology… or are they our modern mythology?Let's have a nerdy little conversation.

Today someone called in asking us and the audience to help identify a song purely on a hum alone. Edited down it turned into a great bit for the show, for the podcast, and for replays. HOWEVER, completely live with no edits like most of the show usually is... was just wayyy too long and chaotic for the everyday episode of our Full Show Podcast. Here you will get the sweepers, pauses, and promotions that happened in the middle of the 7 & 8 O clock hour this morning as this bit entirely took over the show and our other plans. We even left in Minute To Win It that didn't make it onto the Full Show Podcast because she cursed and we had to take her off the line. The beauty of live radio is completely represented in this single near half hour of a full production comedy show. Hear it in its raw entirety here! EXCLUSIVE!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Music – Muzyka "Muzyka" means "music," and in this micro-lesson you'll say it like you're front row at a Warsaw concert with your favorite playlist on repeat. First you hear the word at native speed, then slowed down so you can master the soft "mu" and the flowing "zyka." We drop it into three earworm-ready sentences: – "Kocham muzykę." (I love music.) – "To moja playlista." (This is my playlist.) – "Gram na gitarze." (I play guitar.) Repeat-along track included—perfect while you queue Spotify, tune your instrument, or discover your next favorite Polish artist. Challenge: Tell us in the comments what music YOU love and if you play any instruments—reply in Polish for bonus points. Zachary Levi — Chuck, Shazam, and now host of the new docu-drama David: King of Israel — joins us to talk about why the story of David is the one he keeps coming back to. It's a story of someone who's broken, who makes terrible decisions, and who somehow still gets called a man after God's own heart. Levi explains what sets this show apart from all the other David content out there right now and why he thinks everyone needs to hear this story again. Also in this episode: We've been hearing a lot about revival — from the SEU outpouring to Asbury to rising Bible sales. But does the data actually back that up? We talked to Ryan Burge, a pastor, researcher and political analyst who's spent 20 years studying church trends, and his answer might surprise you.
