Episode 372 is up and live now with yours truly trying out a monologue style episode to discuss the monumental experience I had last week going to see Metallica for the first time up at Lumen Field in Seattle. I drove up to the woods to sit and ponder this event and then laid it down on the ol' zoom recorder in the truck like the old days. It was a wild ride to say the least and a fantastic night with great friends and some new ones made. Ran into my dude Brock Lindow from 36 Crazyfists and his daughter in the snake pit, the homeboy Ryan J. Downey came along as well with his daughter, Dave and Brian from Botch showed up for dinner and my boy Mike Mowery set it all up for us and I am eternally grateful! The life experiences I live through doing this podcast continue to astound me and I am thankful to each and every one of you for making the show a success. I hope you enjoy, but its free and voluntary so it's ok if you don't haha. "WHAT THE FUCK AM I DOING HERE!!!???" We are now proudly presented by Sound Talent Media.  @stmpodcasts   Love the show? HEAVY Music Interviews

Interview by Kris PetersOne of the most powerful and humbling things about being a part of the global metal family is the bonds that are forged through music. Not only the out and out friendships and life changing moments, but also the subtle nuances that often go unnoticed by all except the parties directly involved. It can be a smile, a glance, a guttural scream to the face, even a wayward elbow in the mosh pit but no matter the genesis of the act the outcome is always the same.We are one, we are many, and we are united in music as in life. While every band starts out this way to an extent the trivialities and triumphs of everyday life can often skew these ideals but while physical connections may fade no one can ever take the one thing away that matters to the core. The music.Which is why many people are often left shattered and disillusioned when their favourite bands retires or makes it to the inevitable next level that elevates them beyond the reach of early fans. Music is life and life is music. Not just for metalheads, but for every person who has been touched in some way by any form of music. That may explain moments of mass hysteria when one of The Beatles appeared at a window, or when Ozzy Osbourne peered over the top of his microphone and lovingly told everyone within earshot to fuck off.Perhaps one of the more magjical components of music is its universal acceptance and maniacal obsession. Many will still remember where they were when Lemmy died or the day Cliff Williams left this realm while others around him suffered barely a scratch. It's like you have lost one of your own and unfortunately that feeling never gets easier to bear.On a less global - but still highly relevant - scale, the Brisbane, Queensland and Australian music community will mourn as one when Brisbane masters of groove and metal Massic play their last show together at The Zoo in Brisbane on Friday, March 24. The fact the band are still active to plan their exit is testament to the courage and strength of vocalist Simon Russell-White whose well publicised heart failure a mere 18 months ago almost brought a premature ending to everything. The fact he got to reunite with his Massic brothers on stage and continue to play and record is a blessing from the Metal Gods themselves and now Massic get the chance to go out on their terms. At their choosing. At their own triumphant farewell.People unfamiliar with the band might be wondering what I am waffling on about, but if you have ever heard, seen, or been welcomed into the all encompassing arms which all five band members extend willingly then you know the score.HEAVY had the honour of sitting down with Simon and bass player Rashid for what could well be Massic's final interview and despite the sense of sorrow hanging in the air we still managed to throw together a decent yarn befitting of the indelible mark the Brisbane outfit has made on the music scene.Massic has also hand picked a stellar supporting cast for their farewell, with Flaming Wreckage, The Black Swamp and From Crisis To Collapse granted the priviilege of sharing the stage with them for the final time, with Simon admitting the process of asking which band to play on the night was difficult to say the least."We were really lucky in the fact that when we got together and decided we were going to do this, which bands did we want to play with us," Simon measured. "There was a fairly decent list in our heads at least, and, like I have said previously, there was no real order. We just had three bands that we wanted to ask first and they all said yes (laughs)."As long as the list of bands was in their heads, the actual number who would have gladly offered their services to play the show was probably double."There was a weighing up there of bands we had played with recently," Rashid offered. "We kind of wanted to reach back over the entire career of Massic and bands that we have played really memorable shows with and maybe haven't had a chance to play with over the last few months to a year.""The Black Swamp we actually did our first album launch with," Simon continued, "so they were a special mention. Flaming Wreckage we met in Sydney for our first - and ultimately only - East Coast tour. We played a couple of shows with them and those boys in general are incredible. From Crisis To Collapse, they're our guys. We played 36 Crazyfists with them and a lockdown show and formed bonds with too. There's other bands that I made a point of not mentioning because they know who they are, but were obvious choices but half of those guys are coming to the show anyway. We were lucky. The first three we wanted to ask, in no particular order, said yes otherwise it was going to be a case of let's go down the line. As Rashid said, some bands that we played recently with a lot we decided let's just catalogue out.""Like Si says, they will probably be in the crowd anyway,"Rashid took over, "which also means they will probably be on stage with us as well anyway (laughs)."In the full interview, Simon and Rashid run us through the plans for Friday's show, hint at some special surprises, talk about the bond they share with their fans and the power of music, recall some of their memorable moments with the band, discuss both albums Redshift and Cognisant and which they feel is better, the main reasons behind the decision to call it a day, regrets, joys, guest performers on the night, the emotions involved and how they plan to deal with them, unfinished business and more.On behalf of everyone who loves metal boys, thanks for enriching our lives musically and personally. It's been an honour, and a pleasure. There are surprisingly still a few tickets left for Friday nights show so if you haven't booked yourself in yet, grab your tickets now from www.oztix.com.au

In this one, Cody talks to Brock Lindow of 36 Crazyfists. For 25 years, he was the vocalist of the band and, along with his bandmates, he wrote albums and performed songs, toured, connected with people at shows on a nightly basis and then repeated the cycle. He was 18 years old when 36 started — a founding member — and at that age, young bravado and vitality helped them be, as Brock puts it, a band of the people. They partied with fans before and after shows. They moved to Seattle, then to Portland, to pursue a dream of being rockstars. And they did it, they were rockstars. Kids from Alaska playing their music all over the United States, Europe and South Africa. Fans knew their lyrics, asked for autographs. And Brock appreciated all of it, but he never got comfortable with it. Fame just wasn't for him and he always longed for being back in Alaska, hanging out with his friends and commercial fishing with his dad.   He's 47 now and he doesn't miss being on the road, driving endlessly from venue to venue. He prefers being with his family, hanging out with his friends, co-hosting the Bob and Brock Show on KWHL, and being his daughter's biggest fan at her hockey games. He says he's still learning how to manage his energy and his enthusiasm at her games though — sometimes it can be tough separating himself from his rockstar days to being the role model he needs to be for his family, but it's essential. And he hasn't given up on music, he probably never will. It tends to show up when he needs it most. Like during COVID, when everyone was navigating all of the uncertainty, he connected with a few old friends and a few new ones to form a new band called Paradise Slaves.

Ideal Para Llevarte O Regalar Productos Del Podcats De Ivoox.

As Daylight Dies, «The Arms of Sorrow».

Dos sencillos fueron publicitados de ese álbum “Right Side of the Bed” y “The Crimson”. Además, se le suma la gira Otoño 2006 titulada World Championship Tour, planeada con bandas como From First To Last, Chiodos, y Every Time I Die. Hasta la actualidad, este disco cuenta con cuatro sencillos: “Anger Left Behind”, “In Our Wake”, “The Time Is Now” y “House Of Gold”.

Nothing conjures up more passionate and pleasant debates within the metal community like putting "nu" before it. I enjoyed and still enjoy A BIT of music from that period (Nothingface and 36 Crazyfists will never get old to me), but the full "nu-metal" genre, image and all, isn't something I'd welcome back. But... It ain't me their after. I discuss one of the bands leading (or being pushed in front of) this revival. More importantly, I point to a couple of bands that take some pointers and influence from nu-metal but stay away from the worst parts of it. No matter how much music I see or hear there is still no bigger buzz for me than sitting in on a band jamming in their rehearsal space. It gives the music that raw sense of freedom and personalisation that is denied in a live setting surrounded by the sweaty, steamy masses.Don't get me wrong, concerts still rock, but there's just something about close quarters and loud music with no judgement that resonates with me.Tonight I was privileged to sit in on Brisbane metal stalwarts Massic before our chat about all things music, with the boys rehearsing in preparation for their soon to be disclosed live performance."We got confirmed a day ago to play Heistfest in Brisbane at the Back Room on April 5 with the almighty 36 Crazyfists, the almighty Superheist and the almighty Byron Bay boys From Crisis To Collapse so we're super excited!," enthused vocalist Simon. With a boyish enthusiasm that softens the blows of the previous sonic decimation guitarist, Chris added, "It's a big deal for us. It's something we've all worked towards for a long period of time. We're looking forward to giving it a fucken good upping as you just heard (laughs). We're really enjoying the support we've been given with the shows and how we've been received which has been flattering".After a massive 2018 which saw Massic release their debut album Redshift and play at some of the states biggest festivals including Dead of Winter and Halloween Hysteria, the boys practically dropped off the radio at a time when seemingly their stocks were high.Although conceding it could have backfired on them bass player Rashid explains that sometimes it's best to get off the train before it stops rather than ride it through to a possibly unexpected destination."We finished the Redshift album and got to play those awesome shows then I told Chris I was in the mood to sit down and write a few tracks," he recalled, "so we went back to jam and write some music together. Chris went away for a couple of weeks and came back with 12 new songs! Now we're going through the process of dismantling them".In the full interview, the Massic boys discuss the current state of the Australian metal scene and the bond that connects each band, their new songs and album, it's musical direction, upcoming shows and more.

Join your host Duncan Under The Stairs discussing all things Horror on The Podcast Under the Stairs. Summer has arrived at last Under the Stairs which means our 4th annual Top 10 series of shows has come to take you through those uncomfortably humid days with a heart does of horror!! I am not one to be accused of short changing listeners or setting easy goals either which makes this years Top 10 series very special indeed!! Over the next 11 episodes in the series we will count down each year in the decade known as the 70's with the mission statement of creating the definitive Top 10 list of movies in the decade, but with a little TPUTS twist if you will.  Noah's Ark rules will mean that each year will be represented in the creation of the list and will force myself and my guest to short list each year in the decade from 10 movies to 2!! That's right...only 2 movies from each year can go through which means that this list can/might & will be unlike any Top 10 list of 70's horror movies created on a podcast!! On this show my guest Bo Ransdell and myself will look at 10 movies from 1971 with mini reviews of Bay of Blood, The Abominable Dr. Phibes, The Devils, Willard, Daughters of Darkness, Short Night of the Glass Doll, Let's Scare Jessica to Death, The House the Dripped Blood, Twins of Evil & Cat o Nine Tails. Intro – 0 - 3mins 45secs Top 10 1971 - 5mins 10secs - 2hrs 14mins (Short Night of the Glass Dolls SPOILERS - 1hrs 53mins 40secs - 2hrs 20secs) Intermission - Bury Me Where I Fall - 36 Crazyfists - 2hrs 14mins 40secs - 2hrs 18mins 5secs Decision Time - 2hrs 18mins 5secs - 2hrs 38mins 20secs Closing Out the Show- 2hrs 38mins 20secs - End Closing Song - Sugars of Someday - American Head Charge The 2 movies picked as going forward to the final roundtable representing the year 1971 are The Devils & Daughters of Darkness. Join me next week with special guest Doug Tilley to look at 1972 and the following movies: Don't Torture a Duckling Last House on the Left Deliverence  Frenzy Asylum Horror Express Lisa and the Devil Dr Phibes Rises Again Your Vice Is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key The Blood Spattered Bride (aka Till Death Do Us Part) Our new A3 Baz v Horror Posters are available to purchase!! Cody Perez of Amerakin Overdose joins the podcast this week. The outspoken and controversial vocalist talks about the latest news with AOD and their latest album. He lets us know how the collaboration with Waylon Reavis came together. Cody and I also discuss the struggle for up and coming bands and how we hate the system of clubs taking cuts of the merch. Cody lets us know if he still has issues with 36 Crazyfists drummer Kyle Baltus (hint....he doesn't). Cody also tells a story about seeing Primer 55 when he was teenager. Had a great chat with Joshua Toomey of the Talk Toomey podcast. Josh has become a sort of podcast mentor to me over the past few months, and we became friends after he heard mutual friend, Kyle Baltus of 36 Crazyfists, on my podcast and gave him a shout out on our ep. Josh and I chat about some of the more head line making moments that have happened on his show. We also delve a little into if there is such thing as a stupid question, which since this recording the podcast, has become a thing....you'll hear more on that in the ep. 36 Crazyfists vocalist Brock Lindow guests on the podcast this week to talk about the band's new album Time and Trauma and their upcoming tour with Nonpoint. Brock is not only the frontman of 36 Crazyfists, but he is also the father to a five-year-old, he's started his own hockey-themed sports bar, he co-hosts a podcast about craft beer and he's an all-around hard working dude. Chuck and Godless speculate whether Marty Freidman's alleged re-addition to Megadeth would have really been a "step back" for him or if he's missing a big opportunity. The mighty Gwar's legal woes became very complicated this week when a lawsuit brought by the father of late lead singer Dave Brockie came to light, but the band vehemently denied the accusations and have handled it all perfectly.

Otep Shamaya found herself at the center of controversy this week when her band pulled out of the upcoming Civil Unrest Tour -- also set to feature Ill Nino, 36 Crazyfists and Terror Universal -- because the singer of Terror Universal allegedly "violently grabbed my crotch on our last tour." Since then, accusations have been flying every which way. Ill Nino and the tour's organizers both issued statements on the matter, as did the wife of Terror Universal's singer (although, interestingly, no one in the band has yet commented publicly), and Otep herself shared additional details via Twitter. In this special edition of the MetalSucks Podcast, host Chuck Loesch speaks with Otep directly to clear up all the details surrounding the incident: what happened, when it happened, and what the future holds. Otep shares all sorts of new details about the incident, including the revelation that Dave Chavarri, a longtime personal friend of Otep's and the drummer for Ill Nino, is also the drummer AND manager of Terror Universal, creating a stark conflict of interest.
