This episode features an interview with Emily Campbell, CMO at Blackline, a leading provider of cloud software that automates and controls critical accounting processes. In this episode, Emily discusses their shift to lifecycle marketing and her focus on doing fewer things better to drive efficiency. She also dives into her approach to experimentation, and how she's allocating 50% of her budget to experiments as a way to future proof their organization. Key Takeaways:It's important to understand how the customer behaves at each stage of the buying journey and to build lifecycle campaigns accordingly. A connected content strategy that builds on itself is an important component of lifecycle campaigns and streamlines retargeting efforts. Experiments are a way to future-proof the marketing organization, and pushes the team to try new ideas and to take calculated risks. Quote: “It's probably more like 50 percent of our budget is for experiments this year. I really think about that as an investment in future-proofing our marketing organization. And I want to make sure that the team doesn't get super comfortable in what they're doing. So, I think that innovation really helps push them outside of their comfort zones. But I think we need to be testing new ideas. We need to be taking the, I'll say, calculated risks. We don't want to be throwing money away, but we need to learn what works and what doesn't. And, you know, one of the things that I'm trying to bring to the team is a sense of, we're going to celebrate successes and failures because those failures provide as much learning as the successes, if not more. And so we are very focused on fail fast, learn fast, try more. And, again, still fewer things better, but try new things that we haven't had a lot of experience with in the past.” Episode Timestamps:*(02:27) The Trust Tree: Lifecycle campaigns and understanding customer behavior*(12:11) The Playbook: Relevant content at the top of the funnel*(33:43 ) The Dust Up: Competitors that advertise on your key terms *(35:35) Quick Hits: Emily's Quick HitsSponsor:Pipeline Visionaries is brought to you by Qualified.com, the #1 Conversational Marketing platform for companies that use Salesforce and the secret weapon for pipeline pros. Golf has come under some scrutiny recently in Utah because of how much water the courses use for irrigation. Earlier this year, a house bill was proposed that would have mandated that all golf courses publish how much water they use per year. The bill didn't pass, but it did bring up some questions about Moab's golf course, and whether the 18-hole course is worth the water. // Plus, the Weekly News Reel! Emily Campbell, One of the caretakers on the Blasket Islands
There aren't many athletes who make Olympic history with Union Jack space buns, but there aren't many athletes quite like weightlifter Emily Campbell, who is as hilarious as she is strong, as you're gonna hear in this episode! You might remember watching Emily at the Tokyo Olympics, weightlifting her way to history by winning a silver medal, which made her the first British female weightlifter to win a medal at the Olympics. Alongside being a Commonwealth Games champion she is now also a European champion, and double World Champion medalist and Emily has been snatching and raising the bar ever since! After winning her Olympic silver medal, Emily said, ‘“I don't look like a typical athlete, but what my body does is amazing,” and Emily's success at the bar is matched by her success in changing the game for body positivity in sport. She is doing it for the strong gals, and this episode is a reminder to everyone that no matter what your body may look like, you are capable of anything! It's not been an easy journey for Emily to become an Olympic athlete - as you will hear in this episode. Not only has she had to overcome outdated societal standards about strong women, she had to self-fund her way to Olympic trials whilst living at home with her parents. This week on Monday Mile I link up with one of the strongest people I know, in fact she has deadlifted me before! The word inspiration is often banded around lightly but today I will be referencing the term and it's not to be taken lightly. Emily Campbell, is Britain's most successful Weightlifter. She's our Olympic Silver Medalist and the current European Champion. She's a Northern lass that can snatch the weight of a baby elephant… casual eh?! Emily is in town for a regular check in with the team Physio, so we hit the pavements in Covent Garden for a stroll. We chat about her passion for changing the way women feel about body image, her current work with Nike… and the mass drive for inclusion of women of all sizes. She also gives us an insight into life as an athlete, the reality of the physical work load and the ‘baseline of Doms' . She also shares the truth of not knowing what it's like "to not be in pain whilst sitting on the toilet" and "if I've not got something to hold onto, I'm not getting down there“ . She shares her tips on confidence, “Once you look in the mirror and think damn I look good, it gives you the confidence to go out there and execute whatever you need to do” as well as stressing the importance in physical literacy - “There are girls out there that are standard size that are made to feel massive because the biggest size they can find on the shelf is a 14 or a 16”. Aimee will be probing for answers from the full spectrum of routines; the early birds who have finely tuned Monday mornings, to the late risers who struggle to get up before 11am. How do elite athletes find the motivation to kick start their week come rain or shine? How do celebrities deliver no matter what the time of day? What knowledge can they pass on? Each episode drops on a Monday morning as a bitesize piece of content and weekly dose of motivation - right when you need it. Aimee will meet each of her guests for a walk and a chat and over the course of the mile she will find out how they cope on a Monday morning - their idiosyncrasies, breakfast routines, alarm noises - and how, when they need to, find the motivation to kick-on through the week. Sharing some of Britain's greatest athletes, entrepreneurs, doctors, authors and broadcasters ' secrets on self-motivation, candid thoughts on what they struggle with and a sideways look at some of their more unusual morning habits. Head over to IG to watch the visuals of our episode and what we get up to on our Monday Mile. https://www.instagram.com/aimee_fuller/ Filmed by Jon Moy.
Parenting can almost be like art with every family trying new techniques and sharing different values and cultures. It can be so difficult and rewarding at the same time. It can also be frustrating, confusing, and disheartening. What are some of the core values and principles of parenting as followers of Jesus? Join Pastor Bryan and Emily Campbell as they discuss it!
Procurement often talks about visibility and transparency. Data turns abstract goals into actionable insight. Having greater visibility makes it possible for procurement to negotiate maximum savings while making sure the company has what it needs to operate competitively in a digital world. In categories where it is easy for distributed buyers to act independently - like cloud software for instance - visibility also provides procurement with opportunities for improved savings leverage and the centralized oversight required to stop ‘shadow spend' in its tracks. In this episode, based on an AOP Live session, Philip Ideson is joined by Emily Campbell, Director of Product Design & Research at Vendr, and Nick Pinkman, Sr. Cloud Manager at Vendr. Emily and Nick share their perspectives about: The importance of centralizing workflows for managing spend and headcount The different types of cloud savings procurement should pursue during contract negotiations What data procurement should have in hand before entering a cloud software negotiation
Emily Campbell, Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator, joins 980 CFPL's Mike Stubbs to talk about diets, and specifically the recent increase in injections meant to help diabetes being used for weight loss. Campbell explains the dangers of the newest trend, and how people who want to lose weight can do so in healthy ways.

Welcome to the latest episode in our Start Series. Today we Start with the Classics with Emily Campbell of nightwear brand If Only If. For me a classic is something timeless, of quality, of influence, an outstanding example that for reasons not always easy to articulate stands apart. A classic may come in and out of the limelight, be refreshed and reimagined, but they remain. Examples are numerous and personal. My list is long and includes, without doubt, the nightdress. I consider Emily Campbell, of If Only If, to be a custodian of the classic nightdress. Their nighties are beautifully designed, using beautiful materials. They are for all women, at every stage of life, in every generation and of all sizes and styles. We discuss how her mother began the business, Emily's decision to leave teaching and take on the business into a new era, the changes she has made and the impact they have had, how the business continues to celebrate classics and women and what the future holds.
Today's Battle Drill Devotional: Your Faith Needs a Bench Press! Strengthen yourselves so that you will live here on earth doing what God wants, not the evil things people want. (1 Peter 4:2 NCV). Read 1 Peter 4:1-11. Last year at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Great Britain obtained its first female medallist in weightlifting when Emily Campbell gained a silver medal when she lifted 161 kilogrammes. It takes a lot of strength training to lift almost twice your bodyweight! Your faith also needs a workout to continue to grow. What can you do to strengthen your faith? You need to practice what we call “means of grace” – workout programmes for your faith. These include studying the Bible. You can do that by following these devotionals, paying close attention to the Bible Message each week and discussing the Bible with friends in a small group. You can read Christian books and articles. Many wise and experienced Christians have committed their words to paper and we can benefit from learning from them. We can also think about our testimony. Salvationists should always be ready to testify about what God is doing in their lives. But not of all of us can stand up on a moment's notice and speak out our testimony. So we need to be ready. Someone might ask you about your faith today. What would you say to them? Think about writing something out. It's amazing how often God gives us an opportunity to share when we've prepared ourselves to do so. Be faithful to your church family. Meet with them on a Sunday. Join in worship with them. And support and encourage a small group of people. Practice these habits and you will be a spiritual weightlifter! THINK IT OVER Think about the following: What Christian books could you recommend to a Christian friend or your small group?

Ohio News Connection New data reveals a promising trend in the well-being of Ohio's kids. In 2020, 16.8% of Ohio children lived in poverty, nearly 423,000 children, the lowest percentage reported since 2000. Emily Campbell, associate director of the Center for Community Solutions, noted the data is a one-year estimate from the Census Bureau's 2020 American Community Survey, which carries some uncertainty because of disruptions caused by the pandemic. "These are the best estimates that we have and the best data collection that we could hope for in those circumstances," Campbell explained. "So we're cautious with how we're interpreting it and waiting to see if it's an anomaly, but we see a lot of reasons for hope in this new data." The 2020 data found a 12.4% poverty rate for Ohio adults ages 18 to 24, which is unchanged from 2019, and a slightly higher poverty rate for older adults. Campbell noted the changes are not as statistically significant as the drop in child poverty. Considering the fact unemployment reached record levels in 2020, Campbell added the drop in child poverty is likely the result of government interventions. "Economic stimulus payments, additional unemployment compensation for parents," Campbell outlined. "We think that these are the things that pulled a lot of Ohio's children out of poverty, when the situation could have been much worse." Campbell pointed out the actual impact of policy interventions could be much bigger, because the poverty data only takes income and monetary benefits into account. "It doesn't show the impact of additional food assistance including SNAP and pandemic EBT that was helping children address hunger issues that may have come up," Campbell emphasized. "Or additional Medicaid coverage to help people maintain their health coverage during this pandemic." Two stimulus payments in 2020 lifted an estimated 3.2 million children out of poverty. Campbell maintained the 2020 child poverty data reveals the real-world impact of policies putting additional resources into the hands of families with children. All eyes were on Laurel Hubbard at yesterday's women's Olympic weightlifting. That's because she's the first transgender athlete to compete in the Games, but it was Team GB's Emily Campbell who made history. Five years ago, Emily was working with children who had special needs, but now she's the first British woman ever to stand on the Olympic podium for weightlifting, taking home the silver. We talk about women and weightlifting with Sam Prynn from StrongHer Gym. Women trash-talking men and attempts to redress the gender imbalance have gone too far: that's what the journalist James Innes Smith believes. He shares his viewpoint with Fiona Sturges, from the Financial Times and the Guardian, who doesn't agree. Some NHS trusts have issued guidance stating that people should stay on hospital wards based on the gender they identify with and can choose which showers and toilets to use. That's according to today's Daily Telegraph. But many people feel that the privacy from single sex wards is part of their recovery. The merits of mixed versed single sex wards has always been debated and policy has changed as a result. We speak to Sally Sheard, a health policy analyst and historian. Porn made especially for teenagers: what do you think? In a now deleted but much discussed and decried tweet last week the journalist Flora Gill suggested "entry level" porn should be made available to teenagers as an antidote to the hard core material they're already accessing online. Does she have a point? We talk to journalist and author Eleanor Mills, and Lucy Emmerson from the Sex Education Forum. Introvert or extrovert? Which are you? Are you in a relationship with the opposite, and has lockdown made it tough? We speak to Ali Roff Farrar who's an introvert whose husband is an extrovert, and Sonya Barlow who's an extrovert and is going out with an introvert.

Emily Campbell is a weightlifter I've covered for a few years now. She says "If you really really want something you can achieve it. It's not been easy." She's come back from the European Championships with gold medals as Britain had a massively successful tournament. They're now waiting for formal confirmation on the team for Tokyo. Emily's had support from her local community with fund raising efforts from local traders and friends. And there's a real sense of pride at her achievements. It's not been easy because her sport's attracted little or no funding. Emily won a medal at the Commonwealth Games in 2018 but it's the Olympics which have been her dream. i'm making these podcasts to help raise money for Maggie's Cancer Centres - you can make a donation here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/destinationtokyo Support this podcast
*Note: This episode was recorded on 11/29/20 Questions: 1. As someone who was in the final stages of getting their PhD at the time when COVID initially hit, what was your experience like? How did your colleagues and supervisors in academia respond to the pandemic? (1:18) 2. How has your experience working in industry been shaped by COVID? How is your day-to-day work life affected by it? (5:45) 3. Some of the more prominent food borne viruses that we are aware of are those like norovirus or Hepatitis A. Early on in the pandemic, the FDA released a statement saying that there was “no evidence” that SARS-CoV-2 was being transmitted by food and or food packaging. As someone with an extensive background in food microbiology, what is your take on this statement? Do you personally feel that food could serve as a likely transmission vehicle for COVID? (9:00) 4. How do you think scientists can better communicate concepts like mask wearing and vaccines to the general public? (13:30) 5. Research shows that the COVID pandemic beginnings are linked to a Seafood Wholesale market, and suggest it was an animal to human transmission (read in a review article published in Frontiers in Microbiology) Is this a common occurrence for a virus to be transferred to humans and in the future, should this be a concern for consumers of animal products? (16:19) 6. How does the food industry control the risk for bacterial and viral transmission in their facilities? Both from the employees and from the environment? (19:41) 7. To kill bacteria in food samples, we are taught to cook it, such as cooking chicken to above 165°F to kill Salmonella, would this type of heat treatment work with a virus? (23:12) 8. What sources of websites would you suggest to individuals who are looking for trustworthy advice about food safety or about the COVID pandemic? (25:36) Sources: --This was a nice review article talking about background and current research on COVID-19 and food; it was used to formulate questions 5-7. It's a trustworthy journal with high impact factor and they provide the original sources for all their work too. Olaimat, A.N., Shahbaz, H.M., Fatima, N., Munir, S., Holley, R.A. (2020). The power of the Instagram choir community strikes again in this special interview with my dear friend, Emily Campbell. While I was struck with the fact there was another choir teacher posting about choir on Instagram (Yay! - this was a big deal 2 years ago) - I was also more struck by Emily’s openness in sharing her wedding pictures on her school choir social media picture with her wife. At the time I was amidst conversations with a good friend of mine experiencing heartbreak from his community about being out at the school he taught at. I’ll be honest, I know of very few openly out women in choral music, particularly in a secondary school setting. In this episode, Emily and I sit down and talk about her growth as a choir educator and in her transparency as a gay woman. There are hundreds of thousands of choir educators in the world very comfortable and safe in sharing their sexuality with their community, and there are hundreds of thousands of choir educators in the world who don’t. I want you to know you are not alone. Emily is an incredible resource as are many other educators I know who I would be happy to put you in contact with if you are in need of a mentor or to talk with someone who has been there. Special thanks to Emily Campbell who you can find hanging out on @choircampbell or with her new puppy Bernie @bernie_the_berner_pupChoir Baton Host: Beth Philemon | Choir Baton Podcast Producer: Maggie HemedingerFor more information on Choir Baton please visit our website and to follow us on Instagram @choirbaton @bethphilemon Music by: Scott HolmesTo join the Choir Baton Teaching Membership or for more information, go here.
