The Anthony Mackie-led vehicle, which is the fourth Captain America film and 35th MCU film overall, managed to exceed somewhat meager box office projections, however, its reception with both critics and audiences isn't as definitive a victory. The film is currently sitting at 51% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has earned a B- CinemaScore, which is among some franchise lows for Marvel.According to exclusive reports from Deadline, the Mike Flanagan-penned, solo Clayface film seems to be on track to meet its targeted September 2026 release, with DC leadership set to hear pitches from potential filmmakers next week. James Gunn has described the film as a DCU project, but it is still unclear whether it will connect to any existing projects or continuity. Christopher Nolan's next film for Universal, The Odyssey, has assembled an understandably stacked cast that includes the likes of Tom Holland, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong'o and Jon Bernthal to name a few; now Mia Goth has joined the cast in an undisclosed role, while Matt Damon's role has finally officially been revealed to the title of role of Odysseus as announced via a photo shared from the film's X account. The retelling of Homer's epic poem is slated for a July 17, 2026 release. Universal has debuted the first full trailer for the live action remake of How To Train Your Dragon ahead of its June 13 release.Hulu released a first-look teaser for the final season of The Handmaid's Tale, premiering with three episodes on April 8, followed by weekly releases until the May 27 finale. Jason Momoa Cast as Lobo, The Batman II Will Film This Year, 2025 Golden Globes

Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for Information about all your favorite fictional universes Last week, The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Jason Momoa, the actor who famously played the title role in the billion-dollar grossing Aquaman film, has signed on to portray the character Lobo in the upcoming DC Studios film, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Momoa, no stranger to Warner Bros or DC, has long been campaigning for the role of the intergalactic biker bounty hunter who first debuted in comics in 1983. Elsewhere, filmmaker Matt Reeves, broke his silence on The Batman II delay situation while attending the Golden Globes this weekend, saying, “I can tell you that we'll be shooting this year. We're doing something where the story continues from, but I hope that people will be surprised by.” During a recent interview with GQ, Andrew Garfield, the Amazing Spider-Man himself, dispelled rumors that he has signed on to reprise his role in the upcoming fourth Marvel Studios' Tom Holland-led Spider-Man film. Ever self-aware, the actor acknowledged the weight his objections hold, given his track record, having been in the exact situation prior to No Way Home's release, saying, “I'm gonna disappoint you - Yeah, no. But I know no one's gonna trust anything I say from now on.”  We might be light on Marvel news this week, but Sunday evening's 82nd Golden Globes Awards ceremony saw many an MCU friend and foe in attendance. Kathryn Hahn was nominated for her role in Agatha All Along, Sebastian Stan was twice nominated and won once, and Captain America Brave New World stars, Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford took the stage to present an award, as did MCU alumni Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum. Now that you got your Marvel fix, let's talk about some winners and snubs: on the TV side of things, the winners circle featured usual suspects – FX's Shogun and The Bear, still being awarded as a comedy despite the protests, Max's Hacks, and newcomer Baby Reindeer from Netflix snagging a couple of wins. Also worthy of note: Colin Farrell, narrowly avoiding a snub, took home the sole award for HBO's The Penguin. Netflix and A24 ruled the evening as far as film is concerned, with Emilia Perez and The Brutalist being highly awarded, although Wicked refused to be relegated to the sidelines, taking home the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement Award. Disney's Mufasa: The Lion King led the first weekend of the new year with $23.8 million domestically, reaching $476.4 million globally. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 followed closely with $21.2 million in the U.S. and a worldwide total of $336.3 million. Tom Holland and Zendaya are engaged – as revealed by the ring she wore during the Golden Globes Red Carpet Peacock is developing a film reboot of the 2011 NBC series Grimm, with Drop Dead Diva creator Josh Berman writing and executive producing alongside the original show's co-creators and showrunners. HBO has released a new short teaser trailer for The Last of Us season 2 and confirmed that the series will begin streaming in April. Sony has announced a movie adaptation of Horizon Zero Dawn in collaboration with PlayStation Studios and Columbia Pictures, the studio behind 2022's Uncharted. While no release date has been set, the film will bring Guerrilla Games' post-apocalyptic adventure starring machine hunter Aloy to the big screen. Jacob Elordi is in early negotiations to replace Paul Mescal in Ridley Scott's The Dog Stars. Mark L. Smith and Christopher Wilkinson wrote the script for the 20th Century Studios film, which adapts Peter Heller's 2012 apocalyptic novel of the same name. Disney+ has greenlit a pilot for a TV series adaptation of Louis Sachar's beloved novel "Holes." The project follows in the footsteps of Disney's 2003 film version of the book, though no further details about the potential series have been revealed yet.

Denne episode står i katastrofernes tegn. Forhåbentlig er episoden ikke det samme. Tusind tak fordi du lytter med!

“I want to pursue the industry. I don't know what it looks like. I don't have connections. But I knew I was interested in development,” thought Ashley Jay Sandberg while pursuing journalism. “I tell people to follow what you're curious about because you don't know where that's going to lead.” Ashley's latest film is Twisters, a re-imaginging of the original film, where a retired tornado chaser and meteorologist (Daisy Edgar-Jones) is persuaded to return to Oklahoma to work with a new team (Glen Powell) and new technologies. Twisters was also written by Mark L. Smith who was on the show back in Episode 512. In this interview, Ashley talks about working with Frank Marshall (Gremlins, The Goonies), the difference in docs versus fiction work from a studio perspective, making a movie based on “science theory,” pitching to Steven Spielberg, and unproduced scripts she still thinks about. As a special note, this was part of our new LIVE interview series in partnership with Buzztown, a community for serious screenwriters, where students also participated in this interview. “My family had a dude ranch in Colorado,” says Mark L. Smith, as to why he didn't really starting writing scripts until his 30s. “It was 2,000 acres surrounded by a quarter million acres of natural forest. We were literally in the middle of nowhere.” “Our driveway was a 2.5 mile road that was an old stagecoach trail, through a canyon. It was a resort and we were open in the summers, but we would shut down early fall. I found I had nothing to do during those five months in the snow, so I would write.” In those early days, he wrote stories for his children and submitted a few ideas for children's books. Then he took a stab at writing screenplays, did a few workshops in Los Angeles, and then starting to write specs, one after the other. “I just kept going, found my way through it, then got really lucky.” Smith's early films were in the horror genre, movies like Seance, Vacancy, and Vacancy 2: The First Cut. Then, in 2015, he hit global success with The Revenant, followed by Overlord, The Midnight Sky, The Marsh King's Daughter, and The Boys in the Boat. Upcoming projects include Twisters and a new series called American Primeval. “I would option and sell drama. That's where I learned to begin with but I couldn't get anything made. The horror stuff was popping so I tried that. I wrote a couple of those and it became my thing, but it wasn't what I had intended. I think I wrote The Revenant in 2007, so that's when people noticed I could do more than horror.” Want more? Steal my first book, Ink by the Barrel - Secrets From Prolific Writers right now for free. In the wake of Star Trek Beyond's middle underwhelming box office, there were various plans to get another Star Trek movie underway. One would have involved bringing back Chris Hemsworth, who played Captain Kirk's doomed father before he was a star in 2009's Star Trek, but economically, that proved to be unfeasible. Another, perhaps more intriguing idea, was hatched by none other than Quentin Tarantino, who was to write a script with The Revenant's Mark L. Smith. While ultimately it didn't get made, Trekkies have long wondered what a QT-infused version of Star Trek would have been like, and in this episode of WTF Happened to this Unmade Movie, we reveal as much as we can about this abandoned project.

I've spoken to many people in the film business over the years but today's guest is one of the hardest working craftsman I've had the pleasure of sitting down with. Today on the show we have screenwriter, producer and director, Mark L. Smith. If you look at his IMDB you'll see a list of 15 projects at various stages of development. He's come a long way from entering the Hollywood scene some 15 years ago with his fear-striking horror screenwriting and directorial debut, Séance in 2006.Read Mark L. Smith's ScreenplaysMark stumbled onto writing as a hobby during off-seasons at his family's ranch where he worked after college. Self-taught, some workshops and an inventory of specs later, his path crossed Mel Gibson's - who bought Smith's first-ever script written in 2001.From then onwards, he's been credited for successful writing and producing for hits like The Revenant (2015) and Overlord (2018) and The Midnight Sky which was just released in 2020, starring the incomparable, George Clooney. In Overload, a small group of American soldiers finds horror behind enemy lines on the eve of D-Day.While producing his directorial debut horror, film Séance, with friend of the show and veteran producer Suzanne Lyons, Smith was also a writer on Vacancy in 2006. You will hear more in the interview of his experience navigating the world of filmmaking on both sets, as a rookie, and the village of support he received.Vacancy follows the unfortunate adventure of a married couple who becomes stranded at an isolated motel and finds hidden video cameras in their room. They soon realize that unless they escape, they'll be the next victims of a snuff film. After Vacancy, many horror projects started to open up for Smith. He worked those for a while until it felt old and he had the urge to do something different. That's when he co-wrote the revisionist western script for The Revenant with legendary director, Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu.  The film was based in part on Michael Punke's 2002 novel by the same title. You can watch the remarkable Making of documentary of The Revenant here.Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Will Poulter, and Domhnall Gleeson, the story sets in the 1820s, where a frontiersman, Hugh Glass, sets out on a path of vengeance against those who left him for dead after a bear mauling. The twist and turns that caused delayed production of the film and its eventual success will pique your interest. The Revenant became an instant commercial and artistic success. It grossed $533 million worldwide, earned 11 Oscar nominations, 3 Golden Globe awards, and 5 BAFTA awardsMark recently wrote The Midnight Sky that released last year, starring George Clooney. It is a screen adaptation of Lily Brooks-Dalton's novel, ‘Goodmorning, Midnight' which is a post-apocalyptic tale that follows a lonely scientist in the Arctic, as he races to stop Sully and her fellow astronauts from returning home to a mysterious global catastrophe.I had an absolute ball speaking to Mark. He's one of the hardest working screenwriters in Hollywood. We discuss everything from The Revenant, genius-level tips on how to adapt a book to the screen to what it was like work with Quentin Tarantino on the Star Trek script that has yet to be made. If you pray, please pray to the Hollywood Gods that Mark and Quentin's Star Trek gangster film sees the light of day.Enjoy this conversation with Mark L. Smith.

Self-taught, some workshops and an inventory of specs later, his path crossed Mel Gibson’s - who bought Smith’s first-ever script written in 2001.From then onwards, he’s been credited for successful writing and producing for hits like The Revenant (2015) and Overlord (2018) and The Midnight Sky which was just released in 2020, starring the incomparable, George Clooney. The film was based in part on Michael Punke’s 2002 novel by the same title.Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Will Poulter, and Domhnall Gleeson, the story sets in the 1820s, where a frontiersman, Hugh Glass, sets out on a path of vengeance against those who left him for dead after a bear mauling. The twist and turns that caused delayed production of the film and its eventual success will pique your interest. The Revenant became was an instant commercial and artistic success. It grossed $533 million worldwide, earned 11 Oscar nominations, 3 Golden Globe awards, and 5 BAFTA awardsMark recently wrote The Midnight Sky that released last year, starring George Clooney. It is a screen adaptation of Lily Brooks-Dalton’s novel, ‘Goodmorning, Midnight’ which is a post-apocalyptic tale that follows a lonely scientist in the Arctic, as he races to stop Sully and her fellow astronauts from returning home to a mysterious global catastrophe.I had an absolute ball  speak ing to Mark. Smith.

TREK IT OUT by Shane Hoover Star Trek Command Training Program It is hard to deny, at this point, that Star Trek programming has entered into a new Renaissance. With so many new shows currently in production, most every Trek fan can find something to be excited about.  But, if you're an undergraduate or graduate student, this week's news from CBS may be the most exciting yet. CBS Television Studios and the Television Academy Foundation have announced the “Star Trek Command Training Program”.  The new program will provide internship placements on a Star Trek series for two lucky students per semester, starting in 2020. If you've ever dreamed of sitting in the writers' room, building bridge sets, or maybe being part of the Lower Decks animation team, then this could be your ticket into the crew. Speaking about the program, Star Trek EP Alex Kurtzman said, “The Star Trek universe is an ideal place to celebrate new voices and perspectives. We want to provide the framework to begin entertainment careers in a meaningful way and can't wait to get started.” The application process will be handled by The Academy Foundation, while CBS Television will handle mentorship assignments and curriculum. Interested students should visit TelevisionAcademy.com/internships to apply. Applications are open through January 21, 2020 for eligible college students 18 and over. Colm Meaney Honored Veteran Star Trek actor Colm Meaney was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award this past week at the annual Irish Post Awards. The Awards honor the accomplishments of Irish individuals in fields like business, entertainment, and sports. We, of course, are familiar with Meaney for his 225 Star Trek appearances.  His career as Starfleet engineer Miles O'Brien is second only to Michael Dorn's Worf for Trek appearances. The versatile actor has also appeared in an impressive body of other TV and film projects, with IMDB listing 127 acting credits to his name. When interviewed after the Awards, Mr. Meaney himself mused, “I enjoyed Star Trek. I did it for seven years. Seven years in a space suit was enough, but it was very enjoyable. Star Trek fans still speak to me in the street. Sometimes it's like I'm two different actors with two different careers - the Star Trek career and the other career” Speaking of the award itself, the actor said, ”I feel very honoured. It was a bit of a surprise but a very welcome one.” Official Star Trek Timeline The official Star Trek website also published an interesting new video this week. The video is titled “A Timeline Through the Star Trek Universe, Part 1”. Throughout the 2 minute, 5 second video, we're reminded of touchstone events in the Star Trek timeline. Beginning with the events of Voyager's “Death Wish” at 13.8 billion years ago, the chart carries right through the busy 23rd and 24th centuries, up to the destruction of Romulus in 2387. Each iteration of Star Trek on the big or small screen is represented, with special mention given to certain high profile events like the founding of the Federation, the Enterprise's 5 year mission, or the Dominion War. Perhaps most intriguingly, the video ends with the promise of “To Be Continued…” Star Trek 4 Speaking of adding to the canon timeline… Star Trek Kelvin 4 is gaining momentum --- FOR REAL THIS TIME. In an exclusive report by Deadline, Noah Hawley has been announced as its writer AND director. For those of you unfamiliar with the name, Hawley developed the X-Men Universe spinoff “Legion” and is the brains behind FX's Emmy-winning limited series Fargo…. Now, not much is else is known with respect to story or production timetables but, at least we know the production is -- officially -- in the works. But, what about all this Tarantino talk that we just can't avoid??... Well according to Deadline's Mike Fleming Jr //quote// The studio separately is working on a Star Trek spinoff that Quentin Tarantino is eyeing to direct and has been working on with Abrams. A new tab has appeared in the Event UI for the Winter Wonderland event. Including an image and details for the new Tier 6 Fek'Ihri Dreadnaught carrier. Featuring a Lt. Commander Science/Miracle Worker bridge officer station and coming with a whopping 5 tactical console slots, this fearsome sail barge comes with the universal console, Open the Maw of Gethor. When activated, and we're not making this up, the ship projects a flaming skull in front of the ship dealing fire damage to all nearby foes and launching Lost Souls of Grethor. This carrier comes with two hangar slots from which you can launch more Lost Souls of Grethor, each one using Claw Swipes and Flame Breath to damage enemies. After achieving level 5 ship mastery you will unlock “Fiery Entrance. When activating Narrow Sensor Bands or launching Hangar pets, your ship will, of course, emit a burning ring of fire dealing damage to nearby foes with a chance to confuse them. At the time of this recording, there has been no official blog post detailing the ship, however, as of right now you can log into the game and view the stats and details under the Winter Event tab. PRIORITY ONE ARMADA NEWS Join us for TFO Tuesday - each tuesday we team up with other Armada members to earn marks and dilithium.  If you're interested in joining the Senior Staff for the Console Fleet - please reach out to us via priorityonearmada.com Winter Giveaway The Gamma Fleet Tier V Colony upgrade will be complete in a couple days - well done Gamma Fleet! If you're interested in joining The Klingon High Council fleet, you can submit an application to join on the armada website. WEEKLY TOP TIP Running patrols seems to be a fast and fun way to level up your event progress. It can be even faster when you're running the “Blockade” patrol. After you set up the beacon you'll need to defend three groups of Krenim ships from Vadwaur and Voth. Well, as the contact says, if you only destroy the Vaadwaur the Voth might leave. And that's exactly what happens. By focusing on taking out just the Vaadwaur ships you can cut your targets for the mission almost in half. As soon as the last Vaadwaur ship is destroyed in each group the Voth ships disappear. Just imagine how much time you'll save over the course this feature event. And if you want to run these patrols at a high difficulty level, this can make your runs a little smoother. Other Gaming News Star Trek Fleet Command Mirror, Mirror Event Star Trek Fleet Command is bringing the Mirror Universe into the Kelvin Timeline. The “Mirror, Mirror” event last from now until November 29th and features Terran Empire versions of Kirk, Spock, and Uhura that are obtainable by participating solo and alliance missions. Also included in this event is the opportunity to acquire blueprints to build your very own ISS Jellyfish ship. When playing through the Mirror, Mirror missions you'll also have the option to experience alternate endings. The choice is yours. Trek out the show notes for more details on the event. Retro Gaming Star Trek The Next Generation for Game Boy Earth date September 1993. Star Trek The Next Generation is heading into its seventh and final season. Star Trek Deep Space Nine premiered earlier in the year and now starts its second season. Star Trek's golden age was at its height on the small screen. Then there's the smallest screen. The Nintendo Game Boy. The OG black and yellow 160 pixel by 144 pixel 8-bit gaming brick of happiness. Star Trek TNG for both Game Boy and the NES also released during September of 1993. And boy or boy did this game have one little trekkie beaming with joy. Players take on the role of a Starfleet cadet being instructed by Jean-Luc Picard as they take command of the Enterprise-D and embark on a series of training missions. Everything from transporting an ambassador to rescuing a crew to engaging in combat with the Borg. As the acting captain you give commands through interacting with each bridge crew member by selecting their combadge. To complete shipboard tasks like establishing a standard orbit or diverting power to the shields, you play various mini-games. As you complete missions you rank up and will unlock passwords that can be used to pick up your progress where you left off. I played this exclusively on the Game Boy, but I've heard that the NES version is a little easier to play. The graphics are not the best for the time, and the gameplay can feel clunky and not very intuitive. But at a time when the only other mobile Star Trek video games had you flying the Enterprise through an asteroid field, this was the first game that you felt like you were in the Captain's chair.  So how can you play this game today? Well, you could of course download an emulator on your computer or phone. I actually have something called a Smartboy from Hyperkin. It's basically the lower half of a Game Boy with the the control buttons that you slide your USB-C phone into. You run an emulator on your phone, but you can actually plug a real cartridge into the back and play the game from the physical Game Boy cartridge on your phone screen. I love this because it feel like a Game Boy in my hands, but with a bright colorful screen. But the best option in my opinion is to purchase a Game Boy Advance SP. These are the first clamshell looking Nintendo handheld consoles, and the first with a backlit LCD screen. It plays both Game Boy Advance games

A new tab has appeared in the Event UI for the Winter Wonderland event. Including an image and details for the new Tier 6 Fek’Ihri Dreadnaught carrier. Featuring a Lt. Commander Science/Miracle Worker bridge officer station and coming with a whopping 5 tactical console slots, this fearsome sail barge comes with the universal console, Open the Maw of Gethor. When activated, and we’re not making this up, the ship projects a flaming skull in front of the ship dealing fire damage to all nearby foes and launching Lost Souls of Grethor. If you’re interested in joining the Senior Staff for the Console Fleet - please reach out to us via priorityonearmada.com Winter Giveaway The Gamma Fleet Tier V Colony upgrade will be complete in a couple days - well done Gamma Fleet! If you’re interested in joining The Klingon High Council fleet, you can submit an application to join on the armada website. WEEKLY TOP TIP Running patrols seems to be a fast and fun way to level up your event progress. It can be even faster when you’re running the “Blockade” patrol. After you set up the beacon you’ll need to defend three groups of Krenim ships from Vadwaur and Voth. Well, as the contact says, if you only destroy the Vaadwaur the Voth might leave. And that’s exactly what happens. By focusing on taking out just the Vaadwaur ships you can cut your targets for the mission almost in half. As soon as the last Vaadwaur ship is destroyed in each group the Voth ships disappear. Just imagine how much time you’ll save over the course this feature event. When playing through the Mirror, Mirror missions you’ll also have the option to experience alternate endings. Star Trek’s golden age was at its height on the small screen. Then there’s the smallest screen. I played this exclusively on the Game Boy, but I’ve heard that the NES version is a little easier to play. The graphics are not the best for the time, and the gameplay can feel clunky and not very intuitive. But at a time when the only other mobile Star Trek video games had you flying the Enterprise through an asteroid field, this was the first game that you felt like you were in the Captain’s chair.  So how can you play this game today? Well, you could of course download an emulator on your computer or phone. I actually have something called a Smartboy from Hyperkin. It’s basically the lower half of a Game Boy with the the control buttons that you slide your USB-C phone into.

This week on the Shuttle Pod, your podcast crew discuss what’s on the horizon for the Star Trek franchise. And, a lot is brewing. Oh Captain, My Captain (and Discovery Season 2) Earlier this week, CBS announced the casting of a well-known Star Trek character for Season 2 of Star Trek: Discovery sure to have the fan base buzzing. Anson Mount is set to play the determined Captain Pike of the USS Enterprise, a ship whose redesign we got a glimpse of at the tail end of the Season 1 finale. He certainly looks the part, but he’s got some piercing eyes to fill (have I stretched that metaphor too far?). The news comes after a deluge of cryptic clues about the next season of Discovery gleaned from panel appearances and interviews at last month’s WonderCon. Matt, Brian, and Kayla break down all we learned, with just a light dusting of pithy commentary. A Script Too Far For The Kelvinverse? While still not much more has come to light since we last spoke about the next Trek movie back in December (check out our podcast about that). There are some little bits of information that have come out as the Kelvin cast are out and about promoting other projects. Perhaps the biggest bit of information that’s come to light is that there are at least 2 possible pitches for the next movie: the Patrick McKay & JD Payne script JJ Abrams hyped during Beyond’s press junkets; and the Quentin Tarantino/Mark L. Smith project. We had suspected Pegg and Jung were asked for a sequel idea. In December 2016 Simon Pegg tweeted a tease of Simon and Doug sitting in the Bad Robot offices, but of course no context and no follow up. Pegg has now clarified that his tweet was not about Trek, saying: “Doug [Jung] and I were never going to write the fourth [Star Trek]. That was never the deal. Doug and I are doing something together at Bad Robot, which I probably can’t talk about just yet.” Star Trek’s Real Life Parallel Universe: CBS/Paramount Many Trek fans know that Star Trek is a split franchise. CBS holds all of the television and merchandising rights, while Paramount makes the feature films. The companies have had a long and complicated history, and it seems they may be getting the family back together. CBS and Viacom (Paramount’s parent company and previous parent company to all of Star Trek) are currently in talks to merge back together. What does this mean for the franchise?

Stage Nine: A Podcast about the People Who Make Star Trek

Tarantino, Vol. 3: Four Rooms. The 1990s produced numerous independent filmmakers who quickly became rockstars, and formed a tight-knit community. In that spirit, Quentin Tarantino teamed with three of his contemporaries to create the anthology film Four Rooms. The movie stars Tim Roth as a bellboy working alone at a hotel on New Year's Eve. As the title suggests, the film is divided into four stories, one for each "room," with each story written and directed by a different filmmaker. Those four filmmakers are Allison Anders, Alexandre Rockwell, Robert Rodriguez, and Quentin Tarantino. In this episode of Stage Nine, hosts Mike Schindler and John Mills continue their series on Tarantino with a look at Four Rooms. We discuss the poor reception, the varying quality of the segments, and what makes Tarantino's segment a standout. In news, we look at the writer hired to pen the script for Star Trek 14, Mark L. The Joe and Mike Show

Overlord (2018) R | 1h 50min | Action , Adventure , Horror | 9 November 2018 (USA) A small group of American soldiers find horror behind enemy lines on the eve of D-Day. Director: Julius Avery Writers: Billy Ray (screenplay by), Mark L. Smith (screenplay by) Stars: Jovan Adepo, Wyatt Russell, Mathilde Ollivier https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2CkiqdPutk A traditional family sitcom exploring all the traditional network television tropes – chauvinism, sexism, adultery, rape, murder, love, etcetera. http://nyehentertainment.com/lid An adaption of gritty NYC-based playwright Seanie Sugrue's stage work titled “Love Is Dead!” Shot in a traditional three-camera sitcom setup on a psuedo sound stage in Queens, NY as three standalone episodes of a television show that's WAY too risque for any network's rigid, conformative tastes, LID! very simply has never been done. We went all the way with the old-school 70-80's sitcom format – the three-camera sitcom setup, framed it in a 4×3 video aspect ratio, added a range of VHS tape playback effects to both picture and sound, painted in a studio audience reacting inappropriately, even threw in commercial breaks with off-putting PSA's and ads. It aims to be the TV show that every morbid sitcom writer's room from yesteryear wished it could have been. The film stars @WCG_Lolita, @AliceKremelberg, @AlThompsonInc, @alixelias, @thelanayoo, Myles O'Connor, @ashtonfoster, Patrick Scherrer, @secretmazda, and @joshfolan.
