It's not often Stigall cares to speak of the Obama's other than historical, disruptive and destructive, angry partisans who launched a campaign of Marxist rot and racial division in the country. But what Michele Obama said on a recent podcast made Stigall actually stop in his tracks to ponder it. You'll hear it in this episode. Dave McCormick, PA's junior US Senator joins by phone to discuss progress on the big, beautiful bill in the Senate. While TN-05 Congressman Andy Ogles helps us understand what rescission is all about and as Elon leaves the White House, will Congress leave the work of DOGE? Plus HHS, DHS, and the Secretary of State are all making huge gains to crack down on illegal alien criminals and international spies - especially on our college campuses. The aforementioned Congressman Ogles also explains why his launching a Congressional investigation into the Mayor of Nashville for coopting the work of ICE in his city. And a major hospital group abandons butchery, finally. -For more info visit the official website: https://chrisstigall.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/chrisstigallshow/Twitter: https://twitter.com/ChrisStigallFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/chris.stigall/Listen on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/StigallPodListen on Apple Podcasts: https://bit.ly/StigallShow-Help protect your wealth with real, physical gold and silver. Join Jim and Greg for the 3 Martini Lunch as they briefly bemoan lazy disinformation before diving into today's martinis. They tackle how Trump's 2024 win quickly led to better treatment of Hamas hostages, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser's quiet reversal on her sanctuary city policy, and San Francisco's absurd new grading equity standards in public schools.First, Jim and Greg react to a CNN interview with former hostage Omer Shem Tov, who says Trump's 2024 election immediately led to better treatment of prisoners by Hamas. He says Hamas did not want Trump elected because its leaders knew their actions would no longer fly under his presidency. Next, they are intrigued by Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser's quick yet covert turnaround regarding her support of DC as a sanctuary city. It's the right move but why is she really doing it? Jim argues that sanctuary cities are so 2020 and not so popular with DC residents. Last, they get a good laugh over the whole new meaning of C's get degrees with San Francisco's grade equity policies for schools. Doing homework and attending class no longer matter. Getting a 41 percent out of 100 will get you a C and a 21 percent is still a passing grade. This means hard work goes out the window. Jim also wonders where this policy was when he was in school. What happens when an actor stops waiting for the phone to ring—and starts building the damn set themselves? In this inspiring and action-packed episode, Alyshia sits down with actor, writer, and podcaster Matt Del Negro (City on a Hill, Scandal, The Sopranos, Mayor of Kingstown) to dive deep into what it really takes to get your own project off the ground. From brainstorming with trusted collaborators to navigating Kickstarter campaigns and tax-deductible donations—Matt's doing it all, and he's here to walk us through it. We explore his latest project, Mickey Brash, a gritty, character-driven indie film with a nostalgic 1970s Midwest vibe and a whole lot of heart. Matt shares how he's balancing creative control with practical limitations and how community—yes, your community—can make all the difference. Plus, we break down the evolution of his script Mickey Brasch, originally inspired by a TV role from 2013, shaped by feedback from actors like Chris Messina, and now a sharp, funny, father-daughter road movie with serious Blacklist buzz. If you've ever dreamed of creating your own content but didn't know where to start, this episode is your permission slip and your blueprint.
//The Wire//2300Z May 28, 2025////ROUTINE////BLUF: BORDER SKIRMISH REPORTED BETWEEN CAMBODIA AND THAILAND. LOCAL UNREST CONTINUES IN SEATTLE.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------International Events-Southeast Asia: Border clashes erupted overnight between Cambodia and Thailand. A brief small arms skirmish in the vicinity of Chong Bok resulted in 1x Cambodian border guard being killed by Thai forces. Both Cambodia and Thailand have stated that the other party started the skirmish; Cambodia claims an entrenched position they were dug into was ambushed, while Thailand claims that Cambodia was digging a new trench on their side of the line and Thailand's soldiers were trying to warn Cambodian soldiers away from the area.-HomeFront-Washington: Low-level unrest has continued following the activation of ANTIFA elements to oppose the presence of Christian groups within the city. Yesterday, following the statements by city officials, Pursuit NW, the Christian Church group at the center of the recent concert/prayer vigil scandal decided to host a First Amendment Event on the steps of City Hall, to call for the resignation of the Mayor for the city's statements on the situation. As expected, their presence immediately sparked a riot which lasted until the evening. 8x rioters were arrested, all of which affiliated with ANTIFA.Virginia: Another boil water advisory has been announced for the Richmond area as the local water treatment plant experienced issues with increased turbidity and clogged filters.AC: This is a recurring issue for Richmond. Back in January the boil advisory was in place for five days, which resulted in most restaurants remaining closed during that time due to health code regulations.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: What actually happened along the Cambodian border is anyone's guess, however this area has been disputed by both nations for many years. Nevertheless, border clashes are usually one of the early indicators of old wounds being re-opened, so this will be a development to follow just in case it escalates. So far, both nations have begun moving more troops to this area, and have begun staging for posturing operations, so the potential for this to get out of hand remains a possibility.Analyst: S2A1Research: https://publish.obsidian.md/s2underground//END REPORT//
Join DiscourseGareth Davies, Mayor of The Real Science of Sport, is ready to welcome you as a citizen of our VIP community! To join the conversation, make a monthly pledge at Patreon.com and get access to the shared expertise and passion of fellow listenersShow notesIn this week's Spotlight, we tackle an intriguing training question from a listener in our Discourse community: do short surges during easy or moderate training days undermine the training benefit? To explore this, we look to the current Giro d'Italia, where Richard Carapaz and rising star Isaac del Toro offer real-world examples of how intensity, even in brief bursts, may create a significant physiological cost. While small deviations from planned intensity are not only acceptable but often necessary, trouble arises when these efforts become too frequent or too intense. We introduce the concept of a physiological budget, and how consistent overspending can lead to a kind of training “bankruptcy,” where the cost outweighs the benefit. We break down how it's the intensity that exponentially increases physiological stress, and how to manage that cost wisely in your own training. Then we shift gears to rugby, where the red card rule is about to undergo a significant transformation. Under the new law, a team will no longer play with 14 players for the rest of the match—after 20 minutes, they can bring on a replacement. In response to split opinion in the Rugby community, Gareth asks: “What's the big deal?”. Ross explains why this change has divided the sport, delving into the broader context of concussion prevention, and how sanction was meant to carry the message for behaviour change. Ross shares insights from his newly published paper showing that women are concussed in the same way as men, adding a crucial layer to the ongoing head injury debate. In our news wrap, we stay on safety, where the NFL has decided not to ban the controversial "tush push". We examine how that decision parallels rugby's own risk-management principles. Beatrice Chebet ran the second-fastest 3000m in history last week, putting herself onto a controversial list of Chinese names who had appeared to move that World Record out of reach. Ross offers a prediction that it's a matter of time before the WR falls to Chebet (along with others). And the Enhanced Games claim a “world record” performance of its own, leading us to again discuss the ethics, science, and inevitable sales pitch driving the campaign, and why giving oxygen to the now transparent anti-aging commercial objectives of the Games may not be a good idea.LinksThe question that inspired our Training Zone discussion - for Discourse members onlyRoss' recent paper on the risk of head injuries in elite women rugby playersThe NFL does not ban the 'tush push'. Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - John 16:5-11 - Jesus said to His disciples: "Now I am going to the One Who sent Me, and not one of you asks Me, 'Where are You going?' But because I told you this, grief has filled your hearts. But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go. For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you. But if I go, I will send Him to you. And when He comes He will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and condemnation: sin, because they do not believe in Me; righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see Me; condemnation, because the ruler of this world has been condemned." This is not a political podcast. It's a real estate podcast. Now NYC is an important market for real estate. I personally don't invest in NYC for reasons that many will understand. Part of the affordability problem is that NYC's population is made up of 25% low income families. As housing demand has increased, so too have rents. Affordable rents get pushed further and further away which increases commute times. The race for Mayor in NYC is a hotly contested one with an incredible array of candidates. When I say incredible, it's because each of these candidates can bring sweeping impacts to this city of 8.5M people. If people flock to NY, or if they leave NY, it affects other markets in a material way. There are seven candidates on the democratic ticket for Mayor. The incumbent Mayor Adams who is under criminal investigation is running as an independent. There is one republican candidate. The Democratic primary is going to be held on June 24 which could reshape the election. On today's show we are going to look at the top 3 candidates according to the polling results and dissect their real estate platforms.----------**Real Estate Espresso Podcast:** Spotify: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](https://open.spotify.com/show/3GvtwRmTq4r3es8cbw8jW0?si=c75ea506a6694ef1) iTunes: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/the-real-estate-espresso-podcast/id1340482613) Website: [www.victorjm.com](http://www.victorjm.com) LinkedIn: [Victor Menasce](http://www.linkedin.com/in/vmenasce) YouTube: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](http://www.youtube.com/@victorjmenasce6734) Facebook: [www.facebook.com/realestateespresso](http://www.facebook.com/realestateespresso) Email: [podcast@victorjm.com](mailto:podcast@victorjm.com) **Y Street Capital:** Website: [www.ystreetcapital.com](http://www.ystreetcapital.com) Facebook: [www.facebook.com/YStreetCapital](https://www.facebook.com/YStreetCapital) Instagram: [@ystreetcapital](http://www.instagram.com/ystreetcapital)

About our guest: Lieutenant Commander (Ret.) James Sandifer, a proud native of Lumberton, Mississippi, served 30 years in the United States Navy. Rising from E-1 to Lieutenant Commander, he built a decorated career in air traffic control and leadership across multiple global deployments and operational theaters. Sandifer is a combat-tested veteran who supported Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, with tours onboard CVNs like the USS George Washington and USS Harry S. Truman. His military journey is rooted in faith, mentorship, and resilience. Now back home and running for mayor of Lumberton, Sandifer's “Choose to Change” campaign is focused on unity, youth empowerment, infrastructure reform, and restoring pride in the community. About This Episode: In this episode, Damo, Tisha, and Aaron sit down with retired Navy Lieutenant Commander James Sandifer—Lumberton, Mississippi native and current mayoral candidate—for a candid and inspiring conversation about leadership, legacy, and choosing to change your community from the inside out. James reflects on his upbringing in a small Southern town, the values he inherited working hayfields and watermelon farms, and how that foundation set the tone for a 30-year career in the U.S. Navy. He opens up about early career missteps, nearly getting derailed during his first tour in Puerto Rico, and the life-altering mentorship that set him on a new trajectory. From rising through the ranks to Chief and ultimately retiring as a Lieutenant Commander, James shares the hard lessons he learned about leadership, ego, humility, and faith. He talks about earning respect in the air traffic control community despite being told he wouldn't make it, and how mentorship from both Black and white leaders helped mold his character. The episode also explores Sandifer's return home to a town that's seen population decline, economic challenges, and systemic neglect. He breaks down his “Choose to Change” campaign platform, highlighting issues like school district failures, sewage infrastructure, poverty, and racial division. But more importantly, he speaks on unity, youth empowerment, and what it truly means to serve after service. We also get lighter moments: push-up competitions on the campaign trail, his Waffle House order, and why Cuevas Fish House will always outrank Ruth's Chris in his book. It's a simple plan this week: We're just looking at what was on television in late May of 1981. Including: A bizarre Happy Days musical, a horrifying Waltons episode, Mork in a bubble, skydiving Hulk, something called "Women Who Rate a 10," Bo Duke with amnesia, Daisy Duke on Enos, Batman on Fantasy Island, a Muppet on a medical drama, a dead parrot at Mel's Diner, and way too many variety shows (from Bob Hope, Steve Allen, Robert Klein, the Gatlin Brothers, and the Mandrell Sisters). It all sounds wonderful, doesn't it? You should probably cancel Netflix and invest in a time machine. The Mayor of Chickentown on The Doctor's Beard podcast! And our regular links... Adam talks about the ideas and the people currently plaguing the United States. Adam and Dr. Drew break down Trump's choices for positions of power in the cabinet with Adam perceiving Trump's action through the prism of a builder selecting sub-contractors…Adam then breaks down a clip from Mayor Brandon Johnson's recent speech and speaks about Chicago's population decline. Adam makes a rant for the ages talking about how stupid it would be if he were a Dodgers-centric Mayor. Adam and Dr. Drew wrap up the show talking about Bill Belichek and his much younger girlfriend and then dissect a Dunkin Donuts commercial. Join Jim and Greg for Friday's 3 Martini Lunch as they dissect Chuck Schumer's dramatic flip-flop on immigration, Trump's latest tariff threats against Apple and the European Union, and Andrew Cuomo's surprising critique of the far left in his bid to run New York City.First, they highlight Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's complete reversal from his previous position on illegal immigration. Recently, Schumer said he wants to see all illegals become citizens. In 2009, he blasted illegal immigration, said we need to stop it, and even insisted on calling them illegal aliens instead of undocumented workers. It's clear proof that the far left wing of the Democrats is driving the party.Next, they brace for impact as President Trump calls for a 50 percent tariff on products from the European Union and a 25 percent tariff on Apple for iPhones sold in the U.S. that are not made here. Jim notes the volatility such proposals inject into the markets, warning that economic uncertainty from abrupt policy changes could have serious consequences. Finally, they find themselves in the strange position of agreeing with Andrew Cuomo about the far left leading deep blue areas into disastrous policies and consequences. His shift comes as the biggest threats to Cuomo in the NYC mayoral primary come from his political left. But can Cuomo really make this argument with any credibility after how he ran the state for more than a decade? Please visit our great sponsors:If I needed to find a doctor quickly, Zocdoc is what I'd use. SEASON 3 EPISODE 128: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:45) SPECIAL COMMENT: Trump wants – and his Republican Whore House of Representatives could give him, as early as today, more likely tomorrow – a LAW letting him not only ignore the courts and their injunctions or temporary restraining orders - but immunize himself and his minions from even BEING subject to CONTEMPT CITATIONS. The law, cutting the legs off every judge in this country including all of them on the Supreme Court, is sitting deep in the MAGA multi-trillion dollar budget bill, curled up like a snake ready to attack and poison the judiciary. At Trump’s sole discretion. Any court issuing a T-R-O against Trump or his pack of wolves with titles decimating safety regulations or firing tens of thousands of essential government employees; any court issuing an injunction against Trump kidnapping and renditioning people off the street; any court doing anything Trump doesn’t like could rule whatever IT likes but when it came to the only teeth such orders have – the threat of putting somebody who ignores them, IN jail, FOR contempt, would be GONE. The gist of this is the Trumpists found another loophole, about a cash bond requirement if you seek to enjoin the government. It’s normally set by the judge at Zero Dollars. This bill would make any such Contempt of Court findings or Injunctions set at zero… unenforceable. SO ICE has accelerated the renditions, now dismissing old charges that are currently being ajudicated and seizing the defendants at the courtrooms and putting them on flights to South Sudan or Libya or wherever because, if there's no Contempt of Court, who's going to stop them? ALSO: Kristi Noem having no idea what "Habeas Corpus" is? That was the SMART part. She also doesn't think "suspend" means "enact." Why is Trump investigating Andrew Cuomo? So if he gets elected Mayor of New York they can blackmail him into selling OUT New York. CBS is warned by Senators that its "settlement" with Trump may be a criminal bribe. And the bad news for CNN is, it's become a 24/7 Shopping Channel selling Jake Tapper's crap book. The good news is, they'll be televising George Clooney's live Broadway show about Murrow, "Good Night And Good Luck" so at least there'll be some pretend journalists on the network. B-Block (40:27) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Musk's "Grok" thinks Kristi Noem was talking about the WNBA. The guy Jeopardy fired as host after a week is now running Ben Shapiro's Propaganda Channel. And karma gets Bill Maher back for praising Trump and dissing Larry David: his "uncancellable" podcast studio? Cancelled. C-Block (52:00) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: The arrival of a piece of the fabric roof ripped off Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg last October by Hurricane Milton has inadvertently reminded me why I do this podcast, because it reminded me of the day nearly half a century ago when my dad the architect warned me not to go into an arena with another fabric roof that he (correctly) predicted was about to come off because of bad weather.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
