What happens when your child loves something you deeply dislike? In this honest Friday episode, Justin shares what happened when he finally sat down to watch The Amazing Digital Circus with their 12-year-old daughter after months of resistance. The result wasn’t a parenting victory or a dramatic ban…it was something far more powerful. Justin and Kylie unpack why staying curious instead of controlling can completely change the way our kids engage with media, trust us, and think critically about what they consume. Plus: Kylie shares the unexpected emotional impact of hosting a women-only book club night that reminded everyone in the room they were more than just mums, wives, or carers. This episode is about connection, intentionality, and the conversations that quietly shape our families. KEY POINTS: Why watching your child’s favourite show matters more than banning it The hidden emotional impact of “harmless” kids content How curiosity builds trust with tweens and teens Why shared viewing changes the way children process media The surprising power of women-only spaces and deep friendship How intentional connection helps combat loneliness and overwhelm The difference between building people up and tearing them down QUOTE OF THE EPISODE:“Your child stops passively consuming when they know you’re willing to sit beside them.” RESOURCES MENTIONED: The Book of Longings by Sue Monk Kidd Boys: Building Strong Young Men From the Inside Out by Dr Justin Coulson ACTION STEPS FOR PARENTS: Watch one episode of your child’s favourite show with genuine curiosity Ask what they love about it before sharing your concerns Create intentional spaces for connection in your own life Invite people over, even if it’s simple and imperfect Focus on building trust before trying to change behaviour See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Born and raised in San Diego, Charles Snow held a variety of jobs early in life, including: paperboy, grocery store cashier, accounting clerk, chauffeur, and sports director at a private school; each of which taught him important lessons about how organizations worked and were managed. Chuck earned his PhD in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, and spent his entire academic career as a professor and researcher at Penn State. While there, Chuck taught management subjects to MBA students and executives in more than 35 countries. In this episode, we focus on the core essay that Chuck and co-editor Oystein D. Fjelstad wrote for their book, “Actor-Oriented Organizing,” which is part of Cambridge University's Companions to Management series. In conversation, Chuck discusses three key qualities essential to flattening hierarchical bureaucracies so that teams of employees can respond to emerging customer needs with greater speed and spontaneity. First, there's a great (often unmet) value in openness to change and transparency. The second is a “commons” area, a space where team members feel they're on equal, shared ground. And third is having the resources – financial, digital, and political – to ensure their work leads to outcomes that are incorporated into the company's operational bloodstream. Underlying the entire approach that Chuck advocates for is seeking to act for the common good of all, embodying the “mutual sympathy” style that made Adam Smith not the just the “Father of Modern Economics,” but also a leading promoter of empathy before the term rose to prominence today. The Holy Trinity is both one God and a community. Scholars have often reflected on this by exploring the ways people should live in communities. They have said that, like God, people are not meant to be alone. People should work together and simultaneously be one. In this episode, Jonathan and Seth talk about the community that exists within us. We have multiple selves, differing perspectives even in our own minds, and different ways we interact with others. Again, those are all us! What would it look like for them to live in harmony, supporting, encouraging, and dancing with one another as the Trinity does? We're glad you're with us! Jonathan and Seth talk about the movie Inside Out. If you have strong feelings about Inside Out or the many "yous" that you contain, we'd love to hear from you.
A stranger in a bakery made one comment about a young girl’s body — and it sparked a conversation every parent needs to hear. When should we speak up? When should we walk away? And how do we help our kids build confidence in a world where careless comments about appearance are still far too common? In this powerful episode, Justin and Kylie unpack the viral bakery confrontation that divided the internet, explore the lasting impact of body-shaming comments, and share practical ways parents can help children become resilient, self-aware, and emotionally strong. They also dive into healthy masculinity, raising respectful boys, and the simple lesson every child should learn about commenting on other people’s bodies. KEY POINTS: Why comments about kids’ bodies can leave lasting emotional scars The difference between reacting publicly and protecting your peace How to teach children resilience without dismissing their feelings The “30-second rule” for commenting on appearance What healthy masculinity really looks like How to help daughters identify respectful relationships and red flags Using difficult moments as powerful teaching opportunities QUOTE OF THE EPISODE:“Healthy men help the people around them feel safer and stronger.” RESOURCES MENTIONED: Boys: Building Strong Young Men From the Inside Out by Dr Justin Coulson Happy Families podcast News.com.au article discussed in the episode ACTION STEPS FOR PARENTS: Teach children that other people’s opinions do not define their worth Model respectful language about bodies and appearance Use difficult social moments as teaching opportunities, not panic moments Encourage kids to notice how people make them feel: safer and stronger, or smaller and ashamed Remind children they never need to tolerate disrespect to be accepted See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Craig Hatkoff has spent four decades at the intersection of innovation, culture-building, and institutional transformation. He pioneered commercial mortgage securitization at Chemical Bank, co-founded the Tribeca Film Festival alongside Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal after 9/11, and .in 2010 co-founded the Disruptor Awards with Harvard Professor Clayton Christensen and Irwin Kula. His latest initiative is Dragon Camp, which provides a methodology for using CGI (Collaborative General Intelligence) as a practice framework for creating a viable human-AI partnership. In this episode focused on unlocking the potential of AI in a humanist manner, the first order of business is to secure trustworthy information from AI. To that end, Craig discusses a four-stage model for verifying AI's output. The first element is to leverage output from multiple AI sources, rather than just one, in order to guard against what have been called “AI hallucinations” or “fabrications.” To do so, moves organizations beyond stage 1: single-source vulnerability. Stages 2 through 4 then ramp up from cross-checking via multiple AI models (stage 2), to human intervention to verify (stage 3), culminating in stage 4: where a panel of experts serves as a de facto jury. There is far more than just that 4-stage model, however, in this intriguing episode, as Craig traverses from a love of exploring the power of anomalies as a way to explore insights—to using AI as his “lawyer” in tackling Open AI in court. Building a truth economy that simultaneously allays people's fears about AI is the ultimate goal here. Susan MacKenty Brady is a leadership educator, executive coach, bestselling author, and the founding CEO of the Simmons University Institute for Inclusive Leadership. At Simmons she holds the Deloitte Elen Garbriel Chair for Women and Leadership and has advised executives at over 500 organizations worldwide. She is co-author of All the Difference: Six Leadership Actions to Bridge Perspectives, Strengthen Teams, and Create Value with Stuart D. Kilman and Lt. Gen (Ret) Leslie C. Smith. Uncomfortable stuff, organizational issues that have been “on my heart.” That is how Susan opens this interview, mentioning how everything from the evolving role of women on the job to five generations of employees to the advent of AI is roiling the business world as much as it's ever been turbulent and, frankly, agitated and anxious. From the call to Know Yourself to Ignite Togetherness and Commit to Action, this episode explores target actions where the biggest interpersonal sin is to dismiss the dignity of the world you're talking to just because they can pull rank or fail to apply empathy. Emotions “bring the weather,” Susan says, in a discussion that highlights her suggestion that certainty, inconsistency, reactivity, and (self) justification are the landmines that will get you –and others – blown up because curiosity as to what is happening to others and how they can be their best self has got lost in the mix.Real Transformations: Business Change That Works from the Inside Out is co-hosted by Julie Anixter and Dan Hill, PhD, entrepreneurs with deep experience as corporate change agents, devoted to helping companies make continuous change work for everyone through clarity and connection. Phil Gilbert is best known for leading IBM's transformation as their General Manager of Design, a project that updated the work of 400,000 IBM employees across 180 countries. The transformation became the subject of a Harvard Business School case study, the documentary film The Loop, and feature articles in the New York Times and Fortune magazine. Phil was inducted into the New York Foundation for the Arts' Hall of Fame in 2018, and being a native from there was named a Oklahoma Creativity Ambassador in 2019 for his achievements in the world of creative thinking and innovation. He is the author of Irresistible Change: A Blueprint for Earning Buy-In and Breakout Success. Wedding cakes. Birthday cakes. Cupcakes. Shit umbrellas. The baggage that comes with using the word “design” in the business world. You might get a more unique guest than Phil, but the odds would be heavily against you. With tenacity and street smarts, this guy whose start-up was purchased by IBM shares with us the unlikely story of how IBM's CEO Ginny Rometty got behind him, unleashing the creativity that had made his smallish business unit within the company a top performer. Into business unit after unit, as detailed here, Phil tells with verve the story of overcoming the sorry state that endless rounds of cost-cutting initiatives had landed a now bedraggled company. “Empathy is the hardest word you will ever learn,” Phil told colleagues, left and right, prodding them to move forward. Ian Wilks was a high-ranking leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is a former bishop, a former branch president, and a member of the stake presidency in British Columbia, with responsibility for shepherding twelve congregations and thousands of members. Then-apostle Dallin H. Oaks, now the 18th president and living prophet of the LDS Church, personally recruited him, interviewed him, called him, set him apart, and trained him into that role.¹ For 37 years, Ian devoted his entire life to his church. He paid tithing on his gross income. He sealed his marriage in the London Temple. He conducted hundreds of worthiness interviews. He trained bishops. He stood at pulpits and at altars. He made sacred covenants in the temple to give all he had, including his own life if required, for the building up of the kingdom on earth. In a snowstorm, the cost of those 37 years lands all at once. The thing he wanted most to be true, he learned was untrue. I spoke with Ian on my podcast Cults, Culture & Coercion and in a recent livestream. He is the co-host of the Inside Out podcast with Jim Bennett, son of the late US Senator Bob Bennett. What he told me confirms what former members of the LDS Church have been describing to me since my first book was published in 1988. The Mormon Church meets every criterion of an authoritarian cult under my BITE Model of Authoritarian Control™ and sits on the destructive end of my Influence Continuum©. Ian himself took the BITE Model self-test based on his decades of experience and scored the church at roughly 85 to 90 percent across the four dimensions of behavior, information, thought, and emotion. This group is one of the wealthiest, most influential groups in politics and its believers are over represented (compared to all other faith groups) in our FBI, CIA, Homeland security and faithful people will follow the direction of the Prophet over the Constitution (even though they swear an oath to uphold the Constitution) which should make all Americans worry. We are excited to celebrate the launch of IFS Collected Wisdom: Conversations with Experienced Voices in Internal Family Systems a book that brings together voices, reflections, and lived experience from across the IFS community. This book was created from a desire to honor those voices, and to acknowledge that wisdom in IFS doesn't live in one place or one person. It lives in relationship, in experience, and in the field as it evolves. Thank you for being a listener, for being part of this community, and for continuing to explore what becomes possible when Self leads. We hope that IFS Collected Wisdom can become a companion in your IFS journey. Here is a link to the IFS Collected Wisdom book contents. The Role of Uncertainty in Mental Health with Sarah Bergenfeld and Martha SweezyIn this episode, we welcome two leading voices in Internal Family Systems therapy for a conversation that bridges neuroscience, sensory experience, and healing. Sarah Bergenfield is a certified Level 3 IFS practitioner, writer, and educator specializing in autistic individuals and couples. Autistic herself, Sarah weaves together IFS, polyvagal theory, predictive processing, and sensory science in her clinical and consultation work. She teaches internationally for clinicians working with neurodiverse clients, and her work reframes autism not as a deficit, but as a condition of sensory surplus. Martha Sweezy is an assistant professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, program consultant and supervisor at the Center for Mindfulness and Compassion at Cambridge Health Alliance, and a psychotherapist in private practice in Northampton, Massachusetts. She teaches IFS nationally and internationally and has authored and co-edited numerous books on the model, including Internal Family Systems Therapy, Second Edition (with Richard Schwartz), Intimacy from the Inside Out (with Toni Herbine-Blank), and Internal Family Systems Therapy for Shame and Guilt.Together, Sarah and Martha are co-authors of Wired to Feel: Autism as a Condition of Sensory Surplus. In this episode, we explore the role of uncertainty in mental health: how it can quietly drive distress and shame, and how IFS offers a path toward resolution. While the conversation has special relevance for autistic systems, the insights apply across all neurologies.

Listening, Learning, and Problem-Solving with Empathy Shep interviews Rob Jolles, keynote speaker, five-time bestselling author, and host of The Presentation Whisperer Show. He talks about the importance of authentic communication, empathy, and intent in delivering exceptional customer experiences. This episode of Amazing Business Radio with Shep Hyken answers the following questions and more: What is the role of frontline employees in shaping a company's customer experience? How can handling customer complaints effectively lead to customer loyalty? What steps should customer service teams follow when responding to complaints? How does authentic communication strengthen customer trust? How does empathy impact the outcome of customer service interactions? Top Takeaways: Everybody who interacts with customers, regardless of the job title, is in sales. Every conversation, whether answering a question or dealing with an issue, is an opportunity to sell the brand and what it represents. Saying "sorry" reflexively when a customer calls about a problem can feel empty. Instead, focus on listening to the customer and gathering more information. Customers want to be heard and understood more than they want an apology. They are also more likely to work with you to solve the issue once they feel listened to. Empathy is not just about saying nice things. It is about putting yourself in the customer's shoes and having a genuine desire to help. For example, ask yourself, “How would I feel if that happened to me? Hire for attitude and empathy, not just skills. Some people genuinely like interacting with people and problem-solving. An amazing customer experience starts with hiring the right people for the job, then empowering them with the right tools and training. Communicating with customers is more than just the words you say. The tone, energy, and authenticity in your voice make a huge difference in how customers respond. They notice if you're bored or happy to help. Make sure your words, tone, and actions align with the brand that you represent. Plus, Shep and Rob discuss more insights from Why People Don't Believe You…: Building Credibility from the Inside Out. Tune in! Quote: "When something goes wrong, customers don't call just to hear the word 'sorry." They want you to understand why they are frustrated. They want you to first listen and understand." What happens when the thing you thought would define your future no longer feels aligned with who you're becoming?Former USC quarterback Brandon Hance joins Amy Sylvis to talk about identity, entrepreneurship, leadership, and redefining what abundance actually means. From competing during one of the most iconic eras in USC football history to building and selling companies, Brandon shares how setbacks, mentorship, and self-awareness shaped the direction of his life far beyond sports. In this conversation, Brandon opens up about transferring back to USC after injury, learning directly from Pete Carroll during his years as a backup quarterback, and eventually transitioning into entrepreneurship and affordable housing development in Los Angeles. The discussion explores purpose, team dynamics, service, and why abundance eventually became less about external success and more about alignment, contribution, and inner fulfillment. If you've ever questioned whether your current path still reflects who you are becoming, this episode offers a grounded way to think about growth, reinvention, and defining success on your own terms.Connect with Brandon Hance:https://www.linkedin.com/in/brandonhance/Connect with Amy Sylvis:https://www.linkedin.com/in/amysylvis/Contact Us:https://www.sylviscapital.comhttps://www.sylviscapital.com/webinarinfo@sylviscapital.com00:00 – Getting to Know Brandon Hance04:38 – Why Affordable Housing Became Personal07:36 – The Deeper Fulfillment of Serving Beyond Yourself11:00 – Finding the Right Entrepreneurial Path15:03 – Learning Leadership Without a Playbook22:15 – Making the Most of the Role You Didn't Expect27:27 – Redefining Abundance From the Inside Out
This week on the Geekin' on Walt Disney World Podcast, we're lacing up the running shoes, grabbing a beignet, and heading into a Disney trip that started with runDisney Springtime Surprise weekend — but quickly became about so much more than miles and medals. Curtis is joined by three Geekin' family favorites — Holly, Laura, and Heidi — for a fun, relaxed, and very Disney Geek-style trip report filled with race stories, resort time, lounges, surprise meetups, food talk, cruise talk, and one unforgettable green wig. Because when Holly shows up dressed as Disgust from Inside Out for a runDisney race, you know we're off to a good start. Planning Your Next Disney Adventure? If you're thinking about planning your next Disney vacation and some Epic Universe… My wife Margita and our good friend Auntie Judy are the Travelin' Tiaras — your trusted Disney travel planners. Whether you're booking Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Universal, or beyond… They'll help you plan a smart, stress-free vacation from start to finish. Already booked? You can transfer your reservation to us and still get expert tips, strategy, and support — and it's a great way to support the show. TravelinTiaras@gmail.com Or reach out on Facebook Messenger. And right now… there are great opportunities for upcoming travel, so it's a perfect time to start planning. Featuring This Week This episode includes: Holly, Laura, and Heidi sharing their runDisney Springtime Surprise weekend A stay at Coronado Springs and a solo stay at Port Orleans French Quarter A 10-miler, a 10K, costumes, character stops, and race-day nerves Surprise Geek meetups with Samantha, Selena, Tori, Joe, and more Food and drink stops at Le Cellier, Nomad Lounge, GEO-82, Beak and Barrel, Homecoming, and Sangria University Flower and Garden Festival bites, beignets, maple popcorn, and more Thoughts on newer Disney experiences like the Zootopia show, updated Buzz Lightyear, and Beak and Barrel A bonus cruise recap aboard Royal Caribbean's Utopia of the Seas RunDisney, Beignets, and Green Hair The episode kicks off with Holly wearing the green wig she used for her Disgust costume during the Springtime Surprise 10-Miler — which pretty much sets the tone for the whole conversation. Holly shares that she went into the race under-trained because of a shoulder injury and made it all the way to mile nine before being swept. But what stands out is her perspective. She knew it might happen, she pushed as far as she could, and she still came away with pride, humor, and yes… the medal. Laura brings the solo-trip energy with a stay at Port Orleans French Quarter, where she enjoyed a slower pace, pool time, peaceful resort moments, and plenty of beignets. She also shares one of the funniest race moments: dressing as a bee for the Winnie the Pooh-themed 10K and trying to drink yellow Gatorade from a hard plastic honey bear bottle mid-race. That's runDisney dedication right there. Heidi took a more relaxed race approach — stopping for characters, enjoying the course, and making memories along the way. Her character stops included Nick and Judy from Zootopia, Boba Fett, Woody and Bo Peep, and Bing Bong. Some people chase personal records. Some people chase character photos. Both are absolutely valid. The Geekin' Family Shows Up One of the best parts of this episode is how the Geekin' family keeps popping into the trip. Holly and Corey meet up with Tori and Joe at Yeehaw Bob over at Port Orleans Riverside — and then get surprised when Samantha and Selena walk in. Later, Heidi gets her own surprise. And Laura talks about that feeling of traveling solo, making it through the expo chaos, and then suddenly seeing “her people” at Nomad Lounge. That's the heart of this episode. Yes, it's a trip report. But underneath the races, snacks, lounges, and Disney details is that bigger feeling we talk about all the time: Disney is better when you've found your people. Food, Lounges, and Disney Geek Favorites Of course, this wouldn't be a Geekin' trip report without food. Holly and Corey enjoyed Le Cellier, including cheddar cheese soup, pretzel bread, filet, and an ice wine flight. Laura sampled tanghulu at the China booth, maple popcorn in Canada, jambalaya at French Quarter, and the crème brûlée croissant at Gaston's. Heidi had several Flower and Garden Festival hits, including duck in France, Caribbean-style chicken, flan, and a fish slider. The lounge talk is strong in this one too. Nomad Lounge remains a Geek favorite for its cozy seating, small plates, drinks, and Animal Kingdom atmosphere. GEO-82 gets praise for cocktails and mushroom flatbread. And Beak and Barrel sparks a fun comparison to Oga's Cantina and Trader Sam's — lots to look at, some cool effects, and maybe one of those places that grows on you over time. New Disney Experiences and a Cruise Bonus The group also shares thoughts on a few newer Disney experiences. Heidi talks about the new Zootopia show at Animal Kingdom and whether it really fits the deeper theme of the park. Laura gives her take on the updated Buzz Lightyear, including the new removable blasters and the joy of feeling like a Space Ranger… even when the score says otherwise. And after the Disney portion of the trip, Holly, Corey, Heidi, and Missy headed out on Royal Caribbean's Utopia of the Seas for a four-night cruise — complete with big-ship entertainment, shows, skating, surfing, ziplining, and a water show set to '80s music. The Real Heart of the Episode The best part of this conversation is not just the race. It's not just the snacks. It's not just the lounges. It's the people. It's the surprise visits. It's the inside jokes. It's the ride photos. It's that feeling of seeing friends you may only get to see a few times a year — but when you do, it feels like a reunion. That's the Geekin' family. And that's why these trip reports always mean a little more than just “here's what we did.” They're stories about connection. What if your child reviewed your parenting performance today? Would you want to hear the results? In this deeply personal episode, Justin and Kylie share the parenting exercise that completely changed the way they connect with their children. From painful truths to unexpected reassurance, they reveal how asking a few simple questions uncovered what their kids truly needed most. This conversation is honest, emotional, and incredibly practical for any parent who wants a stronger relationship with their child — even if the feedback stings a little. KEY POINTS: The 10 powerful questions that reveal how your child experiences you Why good intentions don’t always feel loving to kids The surprising parenting moments children remember most How small daily habits can quietly damage connection Why honest feedback from your child can strengthen trust The difference between providing for your child and making them feel supported How to create emotional safety so kids open up honestly QUOTE OF THE EPISODE “Your children’s honesty is a gift. What started as a normal Friday episode quickly turned into one of the most emotionally unstable shows we've had in a while. Honestly, nobody was prepared for how hard the “saddest movie deaths ever” conversation was going to hit. One minute we're joking around about Pointfest and celebrity gossip… the next minute half the room is emotionally compromised over Artax from The NeverEnding Story slowly sinking into the Swamp of Sadness while childhood memories collapse in real time. This episode of The Rizzuto Show goes deep into the emotional destruction caused by movies like The Lion King, Big Fish, My Girl, The Green Mile, Logan, Forrest Gump, Titanic, Harry Potter, Inside Out, Fox and the Hound, Steel Magnolias, All Dogs Go To Heaven, and about 400 others because apparently everyone on this show carries unresolved cinematic trauma.Moon gets surprisingly philosophical. Rafe gets aggressively emotional about animated foxes. Lern somehow manages to make everybody sad repeatedly. Scott contributes exactly the kind of unhinged movie takes you'd expect from Scott. Meanwhile Riz attempts to hold the entire thing together while the conversation spirals into increasingly depressing territory. And somehow — somehow — we pivot from emotional movie deaths directly into celebrity gossip and fried chicken.Because that's radio, baby.We break down the bizarre report that Michael Jackson allegedly ate KFC for nearly every meal of his life. Naturally, this leads to an aggressive debate over mashed potatoes, fast food quality decline, chicken sandwich wars, buffet nostalgia, and whether anyone should trust powdered potatoes emotionally or spiritually. The celebrity chaos doesn't stop there:Paul McCartney refuses selfies because he feels like a zoo animalBritney Spears may or may not have terrified an entire restaurant while holding a knifeTaylor Swift wedding rumors are getting more secretive than a CIA operationKorn is apparently sitting on 40 unreleased songsPink Floyd now has collectible coins because reality means nothing anymoreThis funny podcast somehow manages to combine emotional damage, celebrity nonsense, food debates, weird news, sarcastic humor, and total radio chaos into one gloriously ridiculous episode. If you like a daily comedy show that sounds like your funniest friends slowly losing control in real time, welcome home. The Rizzuto Show continues delivering the kind of funny podcast energy that only happens when nobody in the room knows how to stay on topic for longer than 45 seconds.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Welcome to Meaning-Making 101 where we explore the crisis of meaning in our world today, and how we may help usher in an awakening from it. In this episode of Meaning-Making 101, we dive deep into one of the most important conversations of our time: Can science alone save us… or does humanity need something more? Jonathan Pageau @JonathanPageau and Jordan Hall @JordanGreenhall join forces with Bret Weinstein @DarkHorsePod to explore the limits of materialism, why science can't generate values, the role of faith in solving game-theory traps (hello, Moloch), and whether God is just a useful story, or the ultimate principle that makes meaning possible. From COVID's collapse of shared values to AI's missing ethics, martyrdom and lineage, love as the “principle of principles,” and the fractal vision of the Heavenly Jerusalem, this is essential viewing for anyone wrestling with the crisis of meaning in our world today. If you're tired of flat materialism and hungry for real orientation in reality, this episode is for you.New Meaning-Making 101 drops every week, Wed. 7p EST! Want 3 Life-Changing Tools you can use on yourself (or your clients) from inside our Accredited Coaching Certification? Click here to get them for Free: https://www.alyssanobriga.com/3tools-aaron ==== What if the teachings of Jesus were pointing to something much deeper than we've been told? In this episode of The Healing + Human Potential Podcast, I sit down with spiritual teacher + researcher Aaron Abke to explore the lost teachings of Jesus, Christ consciousness, Kundalini awakening, and what it really means to live from love. Aaron shares why he left Christianity to follow what he believes were the original teachings of Jesus, how fear and separation distort our understanding of spirituality, and why awakening is less about reaching a perfect state and more about returning to loving relationship with life. We also explore the ego, the three beliefs that keep us stuck, the Law of One, fourth-density consciousness, and how the heart becomes a doorway into deeper connection, service, and unity. If you've ever questioned religion, felt curious about consciousness, or longed for a more grounded and loving way to understand spiritual awakening, this episode offers a powerful perspective. ==== Guest Bio: Aaron Abke is a paradigm-shifting spiritual teacher that delivers a fresh, new perspective on Self-Realization through his teachings on the Law of One, the Architecture of Consciousness, and the teachings of Yeshua the Nazarene. Aaron aims to provide humanity with the tools, knowledge, and practices needed to aid our collective ascension to Enlightenment, or "4th Density Consciousness". His passion and purpose is to awaken this planet to the awareness of our oneness and collective destiny as an Enlightened civilization. If white knuckling my way through a meal plan actually worked, I wouldn't have felt like I was starting over at least 1million times. But here we are… blaming willpower for a cycle that clearly isn't working. This week on Fit Girl Magic, I'm sitting down with coach and author Nicole Zapoli to bust the myth that discipline is the missing piece. Spoiler: it's not. What's actually driving (or tanking) consistency? Self-worth. We break down the difference between self-worth and self-confidence (not the same thing, and the order matters), why chasing a physical goal that has nothing to do with the scale can completely change how you see yourself, and how to stay in it when life does what it always does… and blows up your plan. Plus, I share the story of a client in her 70s who went hiking in Switzerland and didn't make anyone wait. That one sticks. In this episode: Why discipline isn't the goal — and what actually works The difference between self-worth and self-confidence (and why order matters) How I block time for myself like it's non-negotiable Building consistency when life is actually busy Why a pull-up does more for your self-image than any mirror pep talk What self-trust really is and how you build it How to pivot when the week blows up (without waiting for Monday) Links Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/fitgirlmagic Tik Tok @kimbarnesjefferson Instagram https://www.instagram.com/kimjeffersoncoach/ Free Resources: https://www.fitgirlmagic.com/freeresources_podcast Live FIT from the Inside Out https://nicolezapoli.com/book/ Instagram @nicolezapoli The WellNZ Collective https://www.skool.com/nz-fitness-2016/about?ref=9e0fa28ba2fd46b8a5de12ca5193eb96The

Through orienting, breathwork, somatic tracking, resourcing, visualization, and bilateral tapping, this guided meditation helps you hold both activation and safety at the same time, allowing fear, resistance, and contraction to be met with more curiosity, openness, and compassion. This isn't about forcing yourself to be more confident. It's about creating the internal safety that allows authentic expression and expansion to happen naturally. After an unexpected week away at a health retreat, Justin and Kylie came home with two surprisingly simple insights that completely shifted the way they parent, connect, and live. From the tension between personal growth and relationships… to the life-changing impact of putting phones away and sitting quietly in nature… this episode is a gentle but powerful reminder that sometimes the smallest changes create the biggest calm. If family life has felt noisy, rushed, or emotionally crowded lately, this conversation might be exactly the reset you need. Merch sold out by lunchtime. “Perfect” status quietly returned. Someone built a race plan around getting a photo with Boba Fett. That's the kind of wonderfully specific runDisney chaos we love, and we're recapping it live from the inaugural Rise and Run Cruise aboard Royal Caribbean's Utopia of the Seas.We break down the 2026 RunDisney Springtime Surprise weekend from the expo to the finish line, including what went smoothly, what still needs fixing, and how to think about merch strategy if you can't arrive on day one. We also talk about the surprise perfect recognition, why messaging matters for long-time participants, and what runners can do when demand keeps feeding resellers. Along the way we share a big personal update, Greg's honor of guiding a runner through the New York City Marathon, plus some of the sponsor support that makes these weekends and trips easier to plan. Then we hit the races: the 5K with standout theming and costumes, the 10K from a cheering perspective with behind-the-scenes finish line logistics, and the Inside Out themed 10-miler that closes the runDisney season with moody lighting, core memory vibes, and character stops that spark big feelings. Star Wars energy shows up loud through character lines, which leads to our ongoing debate about whether a full Star Wars race weekend could return and what might be standing in the way.We finish with a rapid-fire race report, a live trivia contest that doubles as a weirdly fun Rise and Run history lesson, and plenty of moments that remind us why the runDisney community keeps growing. She is the author of Untangled, Under Pressure, and The Emotional Lives of Teenagers, and served as a scientific consultant on Disney/Pixar's Inside Out 2. This week, Lisa joins Marlon to talk about teen mental health, healthy coping, anxiety, screen time, emotional regulation, and what parents actually need to know about when to worry. My team is on our first ever retreat this week! I wanted to practice what I preach and give everyone the chance to relax and restore in Arizona, so this week, I hand picked one of my all-time favorite episodes to share with you. If you care about feeling good, about happiness, this episode is gonna change your life—I recorded it over a year ago and I still talk about it weekly. Also, it'll make you feel good while listening. Enjoy, and see you next week for a fresh new episode! - xo Liz You've probably heard that you should spend more time in nature, practice gratitude, or meditate—but you may not know that one single emotion underlies the benefits of all of those things. Today, we're talking about awe: what it actually is, why the science says it might be the most important emotion you're not prioritizing, and exactly how to build more of it into your life starting today. I'm joined by Dr. Dacher Keltner, professor of psychology at UC Berkeley, founder of the Greater Good Science Center, and the world's leading researcher on awe. He's also the scientist behind the emotions in Pixar's Inside Out and Inside Out 2. Over 15 years of research, Dacher has studied awe across 26 countries, gathered over 2,600 stories of awe from around the world, and built a growing body of evidence showing that this one emotion can reduce anxiety, lower inflammation, ease chronic pain, combat loneliness, and even help with PTSD, sometimes more powerfully than pharmaceuticals. The best part? You don't need a trip to the Grand Canyon to find it. Awe is closer than you think.
A teddy bear that talks. Comforts your child. Learns their secrets. Sounds harmless… until you hear what it’s actually teaching them. In this eye-opening Doctor’s Desk episode, Justin Coulson unpacks the terrifying rise of AI-powered toys for toddlers and preschoolers — including new research showing these “smart” toys may be emotionally dismissive, developmentally harmful, and collecting deeply personal data from children as young as three. If you’ve ever been tempted by an AI toy that promises learning, comfort, or companionship, this episode is essential listening. Because the biggest risk may not be screen time… it may be replacing human connection. KEY POINTS Why AI toys for toddlers are already raising major red flags The disturbing responses researchers heard from AI-powered toys How AI may interfere with emotional and language development The hidden privacy risks parents aren’t being told about Why “educational” tech products often prioritise profit over children What young kids actually need for healthy development QUOTE OF THE EPISODE “Your children do not need AI toys. Humans will trump AI always, in every way.” RESOURCES MENTIONED OpenAI AI toy “Gabo” discussed in research from University of Cambridge Boys: Building Strong Young Men from the Inside Out by Dr Justin Coulson ACTION STEPS FOR PARENTS Avoid AI-powered toys for young children Prioritise real human interaction over “smart” technology Read privacy policies before introducing connected devices into your home Pay attention to how tech responds to children’s emotions and communication Trust your instincts when something feels “off” about a product marketed to kids See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this solo episode of The Healing + Human Potential Podcast, I'm unpacking the deeper truth behind the fear of being seen and why it often has nothing to do with laziness, lack of discipline, or not wanting success. More often, it's a part of you that doesn't yet feel safe being visible, expressed, or fully received. Together, we explore how the nervous system can mistake visibility for danger, the hidden patterns that keep people stuck, and the 4 common safety strategies that quietly block growth: playing small, procrastination, comparison, and self-criticism. I also share powerful tools to help you create safety from within, shift your relationship with fear, and stop abandoning yourself at the edge of expansion.
