Chad and Alex are back! This time they're tearing into the modern media mess like only they can. From doom-scrolling binges to Netflix specials, they get into: Are movies still as good as they used to be? Or have lower budgets and higher expectations killed the magic? They unload Adam Sandler's career arc. From the Happy Gilmore glory to whatever dropped last week that makes you laugh your butt off. The guys have their usual takes on old-school music that still hits the gut, laughs that sneak up on you, and enough cultural critique to light a bonfire. Chad and Alex don't tiptoe. They rip open how we consume media today and whether it's even worth buying a ticket to see the old rockstars still going hard. Pour that Jack, take a seat, and let's do this. This episode is brought to you by Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, Leer toppers, Oakley Sunglasses, and Pecos Outdoor!

On the newest episode of Comics and Chronic the guys talk Alex Ross' Fantastic Four: Full CircleFantastic Four: Full Circle is the first longform work written and illustrated by acclaimed artist Alex Ross, who revisits a classic Stan Lee–Jack Kirby story from the 1960s and introduces the storyline for a new generation of readers. With bold, vivid colors and his trademark visual storytelling, Ross takes Marvel's first team of super heroes to places only he can illustrate. The book also features a special poster jacket, with the front flap unfolding to reveal an all-new fully painted origin story of the Fantastic FourBut first have mushrooms gotten stronger? Was Alex Ross on some shit when he illustrated this? Is Cody having a change of heart about Fantastic Four? Is the art the best in the game? Should we cover the Marvel cosmic event Annihilation? Is this a good jumping off point for comic book readers? Is The Thing anti-trans? Is Bad Bunny a good actor/wrestler? Who would we cast him as in the MCU? In the MCU keeping Robert Downey Jr forever? What do we think of Adam Sandler's movies? How was Happy Gilmore 2? Is our Patreon in the Negative Zone? This time it's Billy Madison (1995) — the only back-to-school story where the student is a 27-year-old man-child. Adam Sandler baby-talks his way through every grade, Chris Farley turns a bus ride into a meltdown, and there's enough gibberish, dodgeball, and shampoo-conditioner drama to make you question the education system entirely. After last week's thorough breakdown of Happy Gilmore, it's time to run it back with the 2025 update, as Ryan Castle dissects the brand new Adam Sandler comedy that's got the whole world buzzing - Happy Gilmore 2! Did it live up to the hype after 30 years in the making? We break it down with 3 simple categories: What worked? What didn't work? And what the F*ck was that? Was there a different way it could've been produced? Who made the best cameo? What was the funniest scene? It's a full dissection of Netflix's brand new feature film, and it's coming up NEXT!
Send us a textWelcome back to DMRThis week, we break down Happy Gilmore 2 exclusive to Netflix—a sequel decades in the making that's equal parts nostalgic tribute and overstuffed spectacle. While it brings back familiar faces and some laugh-out-loud moments, the film often feels more focused on cameos than character. Longtime fans may enjoy the nods to the original, but newcomers might be left wondering what all the fuss is about. We explore whether the movie captures the heart and chaos of the 1996 classic, or if it plays too safe with recycled gags and modern distractions. Does it earn its place in the Sandler legacy—or just ride the wave of nostalgia? Tune in for our mostly spoiler-free take on the hits, the misses, and where this sequel lands in the comedy hall of fame.Enjoy - DMRSupport the showThe audio clips used in this podcast, including excerpts from movie/series/documentary trailers, are used under the principles of fair use and fair dealing for the purpose of criticism, commentary, and review. Ed and OB return to the mic (after the usual tech chaos) to talk lawns, laughs, and the day OB son officially destroyed a car—no mystery, just mayhem. They cover a cinematic spectrum from slapstick gold to whatever Hollywood's cooking next, dabble in sports nostalgia, and unveil a foolproof beach defense strategy involving bird crackers and a complete disregard for social norms. It's wildly personal, unintentionally insightful, and definitely not approved by the DMV.

In this episode of Pop Culture Pastor, Dave and Cody dive deep into Happy Gilmore 2, joined by special guests, recording artists Sean Rodriguez and Hilltop. We discuss the wild ride that is this sequel, from the return of Adam Sandler and Julie Bowen to hilarious cameos by Bad Bunny, Travis Kelce, and even Eminem. With plenty of laughs, an 80s training montage, and a heap of nostalgia, we review the good, the bad, and the absurdity of the film.We also talk about wrestling (because, of course), dive into the return of some of Sandler's best comedy tropes, and explore why Happy Gilmore 2 is a nostalgic trip down memory lane for '90s teens. This episode is a celebration of the things that make pop culture fun—and why watching movies together, even bad sequels, can make it all the more enjoyable. Whether you're a fan of Sandler's goofy comedies or just looking for something to laugh at, this one's for you.https://linktr.ee/PopCulturePastorPod#PopCulturePastor #HappyGilmore2 #AdamSandler #ComedyReview #90sNostalgia #PopCulturePodcast #MovieReview #SequelTalk #SandlerFlicks #WrestlingTalk #BadBunny #Eminem #TravisKelce #SeanRodriguez #Hilltop #ComedyGold

They bit the nostalgia bug to experience Netflix's "Happy Gilmore 2," celebrating the return of comedy legend Adam Sandler to one of his most hallowed characters. On this episode of The Adam Carolla Show, comedian Dusty Slay joins Adam in the studio to talk about his new comedy special Wet Heat, the grind of performing on the road, and the balance between speaking your truth and reading the room on stage. Their conversation takes a wild turn as they dive into the strange saga of The Beach Boys, from Brian Wilson's mental health battles to their bizarre connection with Charles Manson. That segues into a morbidly funny discussion about burial methods, celebrities buried at sea—including Dennis Wilson—and a classic Crank Yankers prank call to a burial-at-sea business. They wrap up the segment admiring how rock guitarists coolly balance lit cigarettes on their fretboards mid-solo.Then, Jason "Mayhem" Miller joins Adam and Dusty to break down some of the latest headlines, including a female police officer in Houston under investigation after vowing on social media to ticket "everyone" because she didn't get any action the night before. They also discuss Conor McGregor's surprising move to petition for a spot on Ireland's presidential ballot and Jim Acosta's controversial interview with an AI avatar of a Parkland shooting victim, which has drawn heavy criticism online for being exploitative and inappropriate.Actress and comedian Kym Whitley stops by to chat about landing a role in Happy Gilmore 2 and what it was like working with Adam Sandler, whom she calls one of the nicest people in Hollywood. Kym and Adam dive into his reputation for bluntness, and she shares heartfelt memories and career advice she received from the legendary Redd Foxx.
