Credibility is a crucial concept in communication science and received severely increased attention, again, with CCS. That is, it serves everybody as a signpost to navigate the web whilst also being scrutinized by some via (AI-driven) signals that suggest trustworthiness. Cuihua (Cindy) Shen is Professor of Communication and Co-Director of the Computational Communication Research Lab at the Department of Communication at UC Davis. Die TU Ilmenau will im kommenden Semester wieder mehr Studierende in ihren Hörsälen und Seminarräumen willkommen heißen. Der vorläufige Leiter der TU, Kai-Uwe Sattler, erklärt im Interview, wie das gelingen kann.

Forscher an der TU Ilmenau haben sehr leistungsfähige Mikro-Superkondensatoren entwickelt, die besonders für das Internet der Dinge interessant sind. Der Schlüssel ist ein neues Designkonzept für Nano-Elektroden, das eine hohe Energie- und Leistungsdichte ermöglicht. Erfolge der GEW im Hochschulbereich unter Rot-Rot-Grün? Wie sieht es mit planbaren Karrierewegen und Befristungen aus? Was ist unter Tarifflucht an den Hochschulen zu verstehen? Zum neuen Jahr kommt hier unsere fünfte Folge, diesmal etwas anders als sonst, da wir alle in Göttingen waren und die neue Folge live zusammen aufgenommen haben. Gesprochen haben wir mit der Informatikstudentin Franziska Chuleck von der TU Ilmenau. Sie hat uns viel erzählt über das Informatikstudium an sich, aber auch über ihre Bachelorarbeit, die sich mit abhörsicherem Telefonieren übers Internet befasst.
