Andere haben genau einen Webinar-Funnel und machen damit Millionen. Was stimmt denn jetzt?

Ciao. Welcome, or welcome back to the brndBuilder Academy Podcast, where we dive into the latest trends in content marketing and share valuable insights you can apply to elevate your content strategy. Today, we're talking about the challenges of lead nurturing and three simple marketing funnels that can help. First up is the Lead Magnet Funnel, designed to attract leads through free resources like ebooks or webinars. You create a landing page, followed by a thank-you page with access to the offer. A series of automated emails then provide value and build trust, eventually leading to a product pitch. Next, we have the Webinar Funnel, which educates leads on relevant topics before pitching your offer at the end. It starts with a registration page, followed by a confirmation page with webinar details. The webinar itself should be engaging and informative, with a follow-up email sequence providing extra value and another opportunity to pitch. Lastly, the Product Launch Funnel generates excitement for your new product or service. Begin with a pre-launch phase, using landing pages, teaser emails, and social media ads. The launch day features special offers and limited-time deals, while the post-launch phase focuses on customer follow-up and nurturing. Remember, these funnels aim to provide value and build trust with your leads. Implementing a solid follow-up process is crucial for success. Thanks for tuning in, and we'll catch you next time on the brndBuilder Academy Podcast! If you enjoyed the episode, don't forget to like, subscribe, and leave a review. I'm your host Kathleen Booth. And this week, my guest is Elias Zepeda from Need Clients Now. Welcome to the podcast Elias. Elias (00:22): Thank you so much. So happy to be here, looking forward to it. Kathleen (00:25): Yeah, this should be fun. I'm excited to chat with you about some of the different ways you help your clients get better inbound marketing results. But before we get into that, tell my audience a little bit about you and your story and how you wound up doing what you're doing today and what Need Clients Now does. Elias (00:45): Awesome. Happy to do so. I started my agency at a very young age. I was 20, 21 years old. And I I happened to just get into it by luck. I was initially first working as a manager for a marketing company and we were doing a marketing for a large newspaper newspaper conglomerate and the West coast. And and I was worked as a manager for nine months at a very young age. And by luck the contractor, our client offered me my own contract to become a contractor. And so what that entailed, I had to hire, train and develop a marketing slash sales team to sell newspaper subscriptions. And this is quite some time ago, of course, but that was my first entry into, into the marketing world. And I, and I did that for four years. Elias (01:42): I had that contract for about three years and I learned so much because what we did is we set up booths and we had a sales team that was giving away offers and incentives in exchange for getting people to, to subscribe to the newspaper. So we had a lot of promotions, giveaways, incentives, and, and that type of stuff. And so that was kind of my first entry into, into the marketing world and through that contract, because we had our activations at football games, basketball games all different types of expos. So we were essentially representing, you know, the newspapers. So we had the ability to do a lot of media trades. We would we would give out, you know, 10, 20, 30, $50,000 worth of ads and exchange of having a booth depending how long of, you know, of an event it was, if it was a fair, if it was a multi-day expo, if it was a season for the football or basketball game and so forth. Elias (02:41): And so that was my first client many, many moons ago, and through networking and through being at so many events, that's how I, I spiraled into my second client and third client and fourth client just by actively networking because I was out and about at all times, managing the teams. And so we initially started as an experiential event marketing company and, and then we transitioned into digital marketing. So when I would tell you know, business owners, friends, colleagues, clients, that we were a marketing company you know, this is around the time that newspapers started losing its popularity and digital marketing, social media started being introduced into the world. And so they would ask you know, do you do any Google ads or, you know, how can you do leads or, you know what else can you offer? And so I essentially immersed myself into, into the world of digital marketing, into the world of inbound marketing. Elias (03:39): And, and that's essentially when we started pivoting from an experiential agency into, into a, an inbound agency. And that's kind of how, how it all started. And so today you know, need clients. Now, what we do is we build sales funnels for, for small and medium-sized businesses, and that's what we do. And so what that entails is a fully done for you service, where we're generating the lead we're advertising on social media, and we are essentially building the whole a done for you aspect of the customer journey. And that's really what we're doing. And I'm extremely passionate about it, especially now that we're working with smaller businesses because it truly makes a difference when you produce the right customer journey, the right strategy. It makes a really big difference in the lives of the business and the business owner. And so that's kind of where we're at today. Kathleen (04:29): Yeah, for sure. This is a tough time for a lot of small business owners. And I know you work with some businesses and some industries that are, have been hit particularly hard by the things that have been going on in the last year. And you know, that's one of the reasons I was excited to talk to you because it's easy to host a podcast like this and talk to a lot of marketers, have really big budgets and are from big companies that are venture capital backed. It's entirely another thing to be a marketer at, or for a company that has a smaller budget. That's really struggling, you know, and for whom these kinds of increases in sales really are meaningful on a personal level. And I was a small business owner, and so I have a soft spot in my heart for anybody who has the guts and the work ethic to start and run a business of their own. Kathleen (05:27): So very, it's an issue very close to my heart. And I think with COVID, it's really just underscored how important it is for us to all support small businesses. So that was one of the reasons I wanted to talk to you because you ha you do just that you help smaller businesses fill their sales pipelines and you do it in a way that doesn't require a tremendous budget. You know, or lots of fancy tools. I think from what I've heard, it's very accessible. It's very doable and it's very repeatable for anybody out there who's listening. And so I'm going to think of this episode as my gift to small business owners out there who are looking for a way to try some new tactics in order to bring business in the door. Now with that as the kind of table setting for our conversation, I should say one of the strategies that you've used successfully to do just that is webinars. Kathleen (06:21): And I feel like people hear the word webinar these days and they roll their eyes because they're like, Oh, webinars. We're also tired of them. We spend all of our life on zoom. Nobody wants to go to another webinar. Webinars are so like 1990s, you know there's a lot of poo-pooing around webinars, but the reality is they can still work if done well, and they are working for you. And you have a webinar funnel that you've used with a number of clients successfully. So I would love it if you could just maybe start by explaining the types of clients you work with and where webinars fit in their overall strategy. Elias (07:07): Absolutely. Right now we work with a handful of, of industries and niches. And one of those industries is beauty academies. You know, which is quite interesting because that's not absolutely these are academies. These are institutions and organizations that train others. It's, you know, it's a business and they train others on learning the craft so that they can essentially start their own business. So when it comes to the beauty industry, you have your service providers, these, your lash artists, you're microblading artists, you're microneedling, and many, many dozens of beauty procedures that are out there in today's you know, marketplace. And then you have the academies, those that teach the individuals so that they start their own business. And that's one of the industries that we specialize in is working with these beauty academies and, you know, back to the whole COVID thing. Elias (07:57): You know, most of the academies, we have a lot of clients on the West coast. And you know, COVID, you know, hit that area specifically in Southern California very hard. And so our clients at that time, they were, they were quite scared because they weren't able to hold classes. They weren't able to, to fulfill the service and, and this specific funnel that we're going to dive right into, it made a huge impact because they were still able to, to generate revenue when collect deposits for future dates. And so it's something I'm very proud, proud of because our clients were scared. You know, these are these, these are small local businesses and they didn't know what was going to happen. And they didn't know how long of a pause they needed to take and how they were going to continue paying their employees. Elias (08:44): It was a scary time for them. And so I'm very proud that we were able to successfully execute this webinar campaign for them. And, and you're right, you know, we have done webinars, we've attended webinars and we see it all out there, but you'd be surprised. There are so many industries where to them, they have never attended a webinar. They have never produced a webinar. And so for them, it's a whole different ball game of like, understanding how was this delivered? How can I generate revenue and so forth? And so I'm sure many of the listeners here are familiar with a webinar, but for maybe a small percentage that are not really familiar, it's an incredible opportunity for you to really deliver your message. And so for those complex industries where you can't really just get the message across and just, you know, a minute or five minutes, you really need a longer time to really get out the benefits and explain how it works and present your offer. Elias (09:45): That's when the webinar works extremely, extremely well for, you know, and so the biz-op industry career ops and, and the beauty industry is it's a perfect campaign because the people that are getting into the industry, they have lots of questions. And on the webinar, you have the opportunity specifically live webinars. We prefer live webinars over prerecorded. But you have the ability to really present your personality. You have the ability to, to answer questions and then take the attendees through, you know, through a journey that explains the benefit of what you're doing and, and essentially indoctrinates them. And towards the end of the webinar, those that are really interested are able to take action and they're able to, to, you know, to take the next step. And so for, for these academies, it's, it's something that works extremely extremely well. And I'm happy to share some numbers. Kathleen (10:36): Yeah. And you have a, like a true Omni channel approach to webinar marketing. I think a lot of the companies and marketers I talk to often rely heavily on a combination of like email and maybe pay-per-click advertising or organic social to draw in their webinar attendees, but I think you've taken it, you know, a step or two further. So I'm excited to, to hear more about that. Elias (11:00): Absolutely. Some of these clients have a very small list, less than 20,000, less than 10,000. And so what we do for top of funnel is we're advertising. And so for that particular industry, Instagram and Facebook work extremely well for top of funnel. So that's, that's the top of funnel is we are putting out an ad that says register now to learn XYZ, right? So that's an example of one of our creatives with a nice image and so forth. So that's top of funnel, people are browsing. Our target audience that we're targeting is, is spending time on social media, many hours a day that we've seen, Kathleen (11:37): And this is really a B2C webinar, right? Like you're going after sort of the individual person who would, might sign up and come, which is interesting because that's the other thing that's different is that I think every other time we've talked about webinars on this podcast, it's been B2B. Elias (11:51): Yeah, absolutely. These are, these are consumers. These are nurses, you know these are, these are you know, professionals. These are primarily women that get into this, into this specific industry. But these are consumers that see an ad on Instagram and and they're registering for, for, you know, for the webinar to learn a little more of, of, of the industry and, and, and just learning a little more about it. So that's the top of funnel. And so our first kind of KPI is seeing how many, you know, registrations were able to get. And so for some of these local academies, and we do work with academies as well, they have multi locations and different cities across the country, but let's use a local Academy as an example. We're able to get hundreds of registrations through Facebook or Instagram ads. And that works extremely well. On average, our cost per registration is between four and $6. And so we're able to get you know, hundreds, depending on the client's budget, you know, but we're able to get people to register for the webinar. So that's our first KPIs. Kathleen (12:57): And how are you, how are you targeting those ads? Because like, I imagine you could theoretically go out to a very broad audience. Elias (13:05): Absolutely. So we target based off of all the parameters that Facebook and Instagram allow. So pages you know, pages that they follow those that are interested in beauty, interested in the specific procedure. So so our media buying team essentially goes from either general or, or, or really segmented a bunch. It depends on the city. So some, a city like Los Angeles, Orange County is going to have more interest than, than a smaller city. And, you know, toll says that example. So, so yeah, we're targeting off of pages they follow and just general interests based off of the, the procedure that we're presenting. So that's top of funnel. And then our second KPI, once we get those registrations is the objective is to get as many people to attend, right? So we want a lot of people to listen to the message, because we know that those that listened to the message, a percentage of them are going to be interested in converting. Kathleen (14:11): That's a good point because that is, that does tend to be the real problem with webinars is lots of people register, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're going to show up. And so how you get them to actually show up is where the magic happens. I think Elias (14:26): Absolutely. It's, it's very important. You'd be surprised, lots of marketers. They strictly just rely on email, but as we know, email on a good day, depending on your industry is going to generate maybe 20, 30% on a good day open rate. Right. but so what we do is in terms of the omni-channel approach is we want to not only send an email reminder of course, but we also want to send a text message reminder, of course, these are opting in, of course, and then we also want to send a ringless voicemail. So having those three different, different touch points of sending them reminders of when the webinar is, is really important, we take it a step further too. So not only are we sending reminders immediately once they register, they get a message and then a day before, and then the morning of, and then a message 10 minutes before the webinars. Elias (15:18): So we have found that that's the sweet spot. It doesn't really annoy people because they really want to attend. They're registering for it voluntarily, and they want to show up. And so these reminders are incredibly helpful and having the text message and having the ringless voicemail, it's so important because, you know, you can't just rely on email. You need to have those multiple touch points and the different platforms to, to remind the audience. And so that's, that's our second KPI is what percentage are going to be attending. And right now we're seeing between 30 and 40% you know, attendance from cold traffic, which, which is good. Kathleen (15:56): Yeah. Now what platform do you use for texting and ringless voicemail? Elias (16:04): We use Twilio. So it integrates with a lot of the CRMs that our clients are using. So the, for, for these local businesses, the CRM that we're implementing is called go high level. And it's, it's really has been increasing in popularity over the past couple of years and the industry that, that we're in. And we like it because it has the ability to control all of the messaging within the CRM. We're able to listen to the call recordings, we're able to see the Facebook messages and the emails and everything is just bundled in, in that platform. So we use Twilio to connect it and then for ringless voicemails I will have to get back to you. Kathleen (16:46): Oh, that's okay. I'm always just curious about these things. Elias (16:50): It's very inexpensive. And that's a great part. So on a, on a local campaign you know, I mentioned the, the webinar registration you know, four to six dollars, but the, when it comes to the ringless voicemails, it's so inexpensive a client will spend less than like $30. It's like 0.0, zero, zero 6 cents. And so it's, it's very minimal cost for you to have the opportunity for someone to get a voicemail that says, Hey, you know, just a reminder, we have this webinar today that you registered for. I'm really excited to have you there. Right? So it's also about the messaging as well, has to be really positive. And you have to show that excitement through, through the email, through the text message or through the voicemail. And that's the, that's the difference on the voicemail. You're actually hearing their voice. So you can, you can really implement that tonality and little things like that. They really make a difference. Kathleen (17:37): And so a couple of questions on that. Do you have your clients record the voicemail? So that it's the same person they're going to be hearing from on the webinar? Basically Elias (17:45): Very important. Absolutely. Absolutely. We help them out. We write a script or we'll write an outline you know, and these, these voicemails, they're, you know, they're 45 seconds or a minute max, right? People don't want to listen to a long voicemail, especially if it's sent directly to their phone, that's what a ringless voicemail is. It's, you don't get a call or just send directly to your voicemail. So these messages are recorded by the person presenting, and that's very important cause that's that's typically most of the time, the people that are in them that they're buying from. So, and then that the same person that they're seeing deliver the presentation. So it's more you know, more of the face touch points that, that the, that the prospect is able to see, but the client is delivering the voicemail of course Kathleen (18:32): Way. And this might be a dumb question. But is there any way to get any analytics back on ringless voicemail? Like, well, you know, if somebody listened to it? Elias (18:43): Yeah, and most of these platforms they provide they provide analytics. So they'll show the delivery rate, right? Sometimes as we all know, with, when it comes to advertising on social media people, there's a percentage of people that are giving, you know, fake numbers and so forth. And so there are analytics that show you know, the delivery rate. And then also sometimes you're able to also assess if that person ends up calling back that number. And so what happens if they call back? Well, it depends on the platform that you're using, but it can connect directly to a call that you afforded. So so it depends on the platform. Kathleen (19:23): Oh, that's smart. So you send out all these reminders you have about between 30 and 40% of people who show up and then talk to me about what the actual webinar itself is like, because this is the other area where I feel like there's, it's like ripe for screwing up. If you're, if you're too salesy, it can be a huge turnoff. But you obviously, especially in the case of, you're talking about you, you want to have some kind of a pitch because you're trying to turn this into business. So how do you coach your clients and work with them on structuring the webinars so that it, it gets the results you're looking for, but also delivers value to the attendee? Elias (20:03): Absolutely. So it's, there's a formula, you know, you're, you have to deliver value on these webinars. No one wants to attend a webinar where it's entirely just a pitch, a pitch. That's not fun for people, right? And so obviously there has to be some congruency between what the ad is saying, what they're registering for and so forth. But the formula that we adapt really encompasses providing as much value as possible. And that formula includes edifying the, the speaker, you know, so, so there's a couple slides that, that, that give background on the speaker, her training, his, or her training and you know, results that they've generated. So there's a whole formula to it. It really is 90 value. And then I mentioned that these are live webinars, so there's questions, there's engagement, and that's what makes the webinars fun because they're live. Elias (20:56): So you can ask questions like, Hey, where are you? You know, where are, you know, coming in from, or press one. Like, those are the best webinars when you're really engaging with the audience. And that's why live webinars convert more than prerecorded ones, but, you know, the formula entails edifying, the speaker providing value, and that value is so helpful because it also demonstrate your demonstrates your knowledge of the, of the industry and also demonstrates your expertise, right? And so a lot of value that we're presenting and teaching something, right. Teaching the benefits of the industry we're going to sprinkle in testimonials. That's obviously very important to show you know, to, to show social proof. And then so I'd say 90% value driven and information driven. And then towards the end of the webinar, there's going to be an irresistible offer, right? Elias (21:46): And so that's how it works. There has to be a true irresistible offer that is only offered to the people that are, that are really making the time investment to join on the webinars. So there's a special discount. There are bonuses offered, but that's how we're able to get people to convert is by taking them through that journey. And this journey is about an hour long. And sometimes depending on how many questions the audience has, it can be an hour 20, an hour, 30 minutes long, but we've found that an hour is kind of the sweet spot for this particular industry. But that's typically the framework of how the webinar works. You have to provide as much value, edify the speaker, sprinkle in testimonials, teach and demonstrate your expertise and your authority, and then present you know, the irresistible offer and have people take action. Elias (22:32): And that's, and that's how these clients are able to generate revenue. So let's look at the numbers on a high level. If we are getting, let's say a hundred you know, attendees you know, Oh, a hundred attendees, and let's say we have 40 40% show up rate. So that's 40 people that are showing up. We typically see a 10% conversion. And these offers from these clients we're working with are three, four, $5,000 for three, four or five day events. So it's very lucrative for these small businesses. And so if we're doing the math okay directly, we have, you know, 40, 40 people that are attending and, you know, 10% of that, that's, you know, that's for, you know, conversions you know, initially from the webinar and if it's you know four or $5,000 a course, right, we're talking about 20, $20,000. And so that may not seem like a lot for, for, for large, large budget, but for these small businesses based off of their, their student acquisition costs and based off of their numbers and their marketing budgets, it's a game changer. And what we do is we repeat the process. We can do two live webinars per month, three live webinars. And so that type of revenue that you're bringing in it makes a huge impact. Kathleen (23:53): So let's talk about a couple of the nitty gritty details on the webinars. Do you have your clients use slides? Is it just a person talking? What does that look like? What is that experience like? Elias (24:06): We are designing the slides for them. And so we have found that, that, especially in this industry, it's a very aesthetic based industry. You know, having high quality design makes a big impact, and it's a lot of work. It's labor intensiveness where my design team, because some of these presentations can be 80, 90 pages. And so we're designing each page, we're customizing each page and then we're also helping them out with the script. And so it's a, it's a PDF or a PowerPoint that they're presenting and they're going page by page by page. And then in certain areas within the webinar, they're answering questions and engaging and so forth, but that's typically how it works. It's a, it's a nicely designed professionally designed presentation. And how long did the webinars last about an hour? We've seen the sweet spot be an hour and that can, you know, that's give or take some of them depending on the number of questions. If you have a larger audience, we have done webinars. We've had hundreds, you know, and over a thousand people attend the webinars. And so depending on the number of questions that you're allocating you know, the webinars can be much longer than that. It can be an hour and a half. It can be an hour 40 minutes an hour, 20 minutes, but we, we, we found that an hour is kind of the sweet spot for, for really getting the message across and, and really presenting the offer strategically and carefully. Kathleen (25:27): And what platform webinar platform are you using with them? Elias (25:32): The one, the webinar platform of choice for using is Click Meeting. And there's so many, you know, we're, we're vendor agnostic. So the reason we like this one it's, it's it's low price. And also what's most important in what we're doing is being able to obviously have analytics, but also we have the ability to drop the link. That's how we're getting people to actually click during the last 10% of the webinar. When, when they're presenting an offer, we're dropping a link, right, where we're showing it, and they're, the prospects are clicking that link to the sales page that has, you know, the countdown, it has the headline, the call to action, and it essentially illustrates all that they're getting with that irresistible offer that we talked about. And so that's just the platform that we're using, but there are so many that, that, that have similar features. Kathleen (26:21): Yeah. There definitely are a lot now you're working with these clients, I'm assuming in many cases, you know, these are businesses that up until recently probably did everything in person, you know, or, or, you know, they sent mail or they used the phone, but they're not, these are not businesses that typically do webinars. So for many of these people, it's going to be their first time running one. How do you coach them on, you know, what it means to be a good webinar host? Like I assume that many of them are nervous, right? Elias (26:54): Absolutely. Some of them, some of them are very nervous and we do rehearsals. We have them send you know, after the coaching, we have them send us videos. So they're rehearsing to me and my team, and they're sending us prerecorded videos. We have them practice with their friends and family before the live webinar. So it depends some of these clients, because they're in a, in the industry in the beauty industry, they're very comfortable being on camera and they've, some of them have had many speaking engagements. So it depends, some clients are more nervous than others, but we're going to help coach them. And then really the presentation is really helping them as much as possible. They're really talking about themselves, they're sharing their story, they're sharing about something that, that they have lots of experience with. So that part's easy. You know, the hard part for some of these clients is really the pitch going into how do you, how do you get people to actually sign up and how do you, you know, Kathleen (27:50): Yeah. What makes for an irresistible offer because you used that term a few times. So I'd love to hear kind of in your mind, what's the formula for that? Elias (27:59): Well, people love discounts, right? So that, that, that's, that's, you know, topic number one. So if, if this course is, let's say, you know, $5,000 and they're able to get it for 45 or 4,300 of they're able to save 500, 700 or even a thousand dollars, that's, that's, that's a huge part of the irresistible offer. So a price discount, that's really going to motivate people to take action now. And then scarcity too, this is only limited for the first 15 people that take action. So scarcity, and then the bonuses that, that makes a huge difference as well. So some of these bonuses can be, you're going to get a one-on-one with me, or you're going to get this, this, this course, you know, so we work directly with the client to, to really understand what is this target audience want? How can we make it an irresistible offer and what can we add to sweeten the deal? And that's how you're able to take people and to get people to convert the discount, the scarcity, the the whole webinar format, and then the, the bonuses. That's really what makes people you know, triggers or impulse. Kathleen (29:05): Yeah. Yeah. Well, I love that. So, so talk me through, if I'm listening to this and I'm a small business and I'm thinking, gosh, I don't know if I could do this. Like, it sounds expensive. Well, talk me through, like, what kind of a budget do I need to have to do something like this? Cause you've mentioned a few tools and then the fact that there are low cost, but like, what does it really take to pull this off? Elias (29:27): Yeah. Well, first of all you need to assess is, is a webinar, really the right type of strategy for my business, right? So if you're selling, let's say, t-shirts, it's not going to work. What are you going to talk about for an hour show a t-shirt right. Get people to purchase. And it's, so it has to be you know, the right, the right type of client, it has to, it has to be a product or a service. That's thousands of dollars. If it's less than a thousand dollars, it's not going to be worth your time, putting all the effort and, you know, presenting that offer to too many people. And, and that's kind of the game changer with these clients is like previously, before they start working with us, they're, they're, they're pitching one to one, like you said, you know, they're working with referrals, they may have done some ads before. Elias (30:10): Right. But they're still having to them or their team. They're having to contact these individuals on a one-to-one basis. And the webinar, the reason it's so amazing. And we love it is because you're, you're, you're presenting one too many. And so that's a big game changer. So those that are considering doing a webinar, they have to have the right price point. So the sweet spot that we've found is, you know, two to $5,000, anything higher than that is going to be a longer sales cycle and anything lower than that just doesn't make fiscal sense. Right. and then and then in terms of dialing in your numbers, when you're running ads for that industry, like I said, we see four to six you know, our, our, our cost per registration, but in a different industry, it may be a lot higher than that, depending on the competitiveness to it. So you need to first first gauge you know, the level of interest from, from that audience and then the topic. And there are so many factors that go into it, but you know, these, these clients that the ROI that they're generating is pretty significant they're spending you know, they're spending less than $2,500 in ad costs and then softwares and tools. And many of them are making you know, 20, 30, 30, $5,000 per webinars. So it's a, it's a huge ROI. Kathleen (31:24): Great. And are the tools that you're using. I mean, some people who listened to this might be like, I want to hire Elias and his firm to do this for me. And others might be like, I want to do this for myself. So the tools that you use are they easy enough for anyone to, to use, to program, to set up or do you really need specialized expertise? Elias (31:45): Most of these tools are very, they're very user-friendly. I think it's, it's, it's, it's certainly very possible for you to go out and try your first webinar. One of my recommendations would be you don't need to have a platform. You can test out a webinar. Why don't you test it out on a Facebook live or Instagram live, that's a mini webinar. Right. And right now people are talking about what's that app, that clubhouse that's right. That's right. Everybody's addicted to it. Right. House. And, and they're saying like, some of these people are really leveraging clubhouse because it's kind of like an audio webinar. And so I know some of these people that are on it that are getting lots of coaching and consulting clients by delivering value and that's, you know, similar to webinars. So you don't need to have those tools specifically just to get started. And I think that'd be a great practice for you to go on to Facebook, live Instagram live, and and then present, you know, present your offer, present your story. And that's kinda what it, what it's all about. Kathleen (32:46): Yeah. That's great. I mean, you're right. There are so many platforms where you can test these things and like at no cost and clubhouse certainly is the wild West right now. So a worth a shot if you have an invite and if you have an iPhone, because it does not currently work on Android, although they're working on that, I hear Elias (33:01): I was on an earlier vanilla ice was on yesterday, like Tiffany you know, hot dish and, and like, you have all these it is like the wild wild West, but right now is a really interesting time because you know, it hasn't been like broken in yet right now. It's still very new and it's really interesting. And if you joined the right room, you can get a lot of Valley from men. So it's really interesting. Kathleen (33:26): That's great. Well let's shift gears for a minute and there's two questions. I always ask all of my guests. And I'm curious to hear what you have to say. The first is, of course, we talk all about inbound marketing on this podcast, and I'm curious if there's a particular company or individual that you think is really knocking it out of the park when it comes to inbound. Elias (33:46): I think HubSpot does a phenomenal job. And you know, I, I, when I get their emails, they're always interesting to me as a marketer because I'm their target audience, you know, they, they but I think in my opinion, they're kind of, you know, the Kings of inbound specifically their content the way that they frame their content just makes me specifically want to download. And even though I'm already on their lists, you know, it really makes me want to want to consume the content. So I think whoever's responsible for their content or the team has been doing a great job at really understanding their target audience. But Kathleen (34:24): Yeah, they, they undoubtedly set a very high bar. Second question is, you know, the pain point I hear from a lot of marketers is that digital marketing changes so quickly. And it's really tough to keep up with all of it. So how do you personally keep up to date? Elias (34:45): I'm always learning, I'm always learning. So in, in the beginning of my career, I was, I was, I immersed myself and, and joining webinars and forums at the time and so forth. And that really hasn't stopped. You know, I'm a lapsed subscriber to digitalmarketer.com. I'm a big fan of, of the movement that they have in the community that they've built. But, you know, it can be from subscriptions and courses that I purchased or it can be something like clubhouse that we were just talking about. Right. You can get some value from it, depending on the room and the topic and so forth. And so I think it's very important to, to, to really, you know, stay on trend and to always be a student, essentially. Kathleen (35:27): Yeah, absolutely. Any particular places other than digital marketer that you like to get your information Elias (35:34): Well, HubSpot you know, HubSpot again, Digital Marketer you know, one of, one of my favorite, you know, marketers is the founder of Click Funnels and he has a great community in Facebook groups is, is amazing another amazing research and social platform. So I, I think it's undervalued as far as, you know, Facebook groups are concerned, but you can join a group that's specific to sales, marketing inbound, right? And so if the group is being curated and managed correctly, you can get a lot of value from it. So so really I get my info from various different platforms in different organizations. Kathleen (36:13): That's great. Well, I totally agree about groups. Both Facebook and Slack groups, I get a tremendous amount of value out of all right. Well, that brings us to the end of our time. And so before we wrap up, if somebody wants to learn more about Need Clients Now, or wants to connect with you, or has a question about what you talked about today, what is the best way for them to do that? Elias (36:33): You can visit our website, it's www.needclientsnow.com. You can also email me. It's Elias, elias@needclientsnow.com or you can message them on Instagram. I love talking to fellow marketers and I love answering questions. And if you want to join one of our webinars for one of our clients, I'm happy to invite you to that as well. Kathleen (36:54): Oh, I love that. That's a great offer. Well, you know, I just want to say before we finish that, I appreciate the work you're doing, because like we said, in the very beginning, it's so important right now for us to support small businesses and to do whatever we can do, whether that's as marketers or as, you know, consumers who go out and shop and use our shop and spend our dollars, you know, with, with local businesses, et cetera. It's so, so important so that when we hopefully come out of this pandemic, that has felt like it has lasted forever. All of those businesses that we love will still be there. And so thank you for, for doing what you do. Elias (37:29): Oh, you're welcome. This has been a pleasure. Thanks for the opportunity. Kathleen (37:33): And if you're listening and you enjoyed this episode, or you learned something new, I would love it if you would head to Apple podcasts or the platform of your choice and leave the podcast a review. That's how we get found by more listeners. And of course, if you know someone else who's doing amazing inbound marketing work, tweet me at @workmommywork because I would love to make them my next guest. Thank you so much, Elias. This was great. Elias (37:58): Thank you.

If you ever came across the automated webinar funnel and wondered how you can set up one then this resource is for you. It is possible that you have attended several webinars over the years. Some were great and others were not so good. You probably even thought to yourself that setting up one of these can take a lot of work. I have to tell you that I set up an automated webinar recently and the most difficult aspect was the presentation. While the technology may seem complicated at first, it is all about logistics. For any small business, entrepreneur or solopreneur, setting up an automated webinar funnel is like cloning yourself. By the end of this post, you should have a better understanding of webinar sales funnels in order to use them in your business. It will help you reduce errors and get your own automated webinar funnel up and running in double-quick time. So that you can skip the stress and heartache of starting from scratch. Disclosure: Please note that this post may contain affiliate links which means that if you buy one of my recommended products I get paid a commission for sharing the link at no additional cost to you. I only recommend products that I have tried myself and have experienced success. What is an Automated Webinar Funnel? If you are brand new to sales funnels and webinar funnels don't worry I covered an entire post on this topic recently. You can see what is a sales funnel here and all about the different types of sales funnels here. Can you recall the last time you attended a webinar what the experience was like? You probably clicked on a link or entered a special code and you selected your preferred option for the audio. Most webinars last for at least an hour. So, you probably also saw slides and heard the person talking and in some cases, you saw them. During the webinar you learned a few fascinating things and you were given the option at the end to join a program. Well, an automated webinar is just like that except for the fact that it is recorded and the entire thing runs on autopilot. Does that mean that it is all fake? Not at all, in fact, the benefits of automated webinars suits both parties and I will explain this later on. Why Use an Automated Webinar Funnel? At this point, you are probably thinking how on earth can this benefit your business. Well, remember earlier I mentioned about the ability to clone yourself? Let me put things into perspective for you. Imagine for a few minutes you wanted to do a webinar to generate sales for your business and you decided to do it over a 5 day period. You decide to do it twice a day for 5 days and at the end you were able to sign up 20 new clients. This is excellent news!! You get 20 new clients and you are tired because doing a webinar 10 times in one week is not an easy task. Wouldn't it be great if you can sign up 10-20 more clients every week of the year without the stress and exhaustion? The good news is that you can do it using an automated webinar funnel. One of the reasons why webinars work so well is that you are able to develop the know, like and trust factors with your ideal client in 60-90 minutes flat. Other methods of achieving this are using blog posts, Instagram Stories, YouTube videos and Facebook live events. However, these other methods take a lot longer than 60-90 minutes as a general rule. Items Needed for an Evergreen Webinar Funnel Another name for an automated webinar funnel that runs 24/7 is an evergreen webinar funnel. In other words, not all automated funnels are evergreen because some of them are only available for a few days or a few weeks. Let's look at a list of items that you need to have in order to set up your very own automated webinar sales funnel. Today’s episode is a strategy session with one of my students, Alan Beckley. Alan is an entrepreneur whose mission is helping inventors and entrepreneurs to achieve their dreams more quickly. Alan has been running video ads and testing short versus longer copy, but he’s now wondering how he can see better results from his Facebook marketing as it’s not working quite as well as he would like it to. He’s also hosted multiple webinars for How to License Your Invention for Royalties, and is looking for ways to reach his ideal audience of inventors (and people who want to become one), and have more registrations and attendees. In this episode we break down his current ad campaign and webinar funnel, analyzing the numbers while I look for a “red flag”, or reason for why he’s not seeing the results he’s after. I don’t feel that Alan needs a large budget for running ads, but he does need more traffic. As you’ll hear, his clickthrough and conversion rates are pretty strong, so I share my recommendations for how he can get more traffic into his funnel to drive sales of his products. There are also things that he can do in terms of testing at the front end of his funnel, in order to hopefully lower that cost per lead while raising the relevance score of his ads. Before we start the show, I’ve got something to ask. How do you listen to this podcast? Is it in the iTunes app, Stitcher, Spotify or maybe iHeart Radio? Do you listen to it at regular speed, or maybe like me you listen to your podcasts at 1.5X speed? I want to know! Take a screenshot of you tuning in to The Art of Paid Traffic, and include it on your Instagram Story, while tagging me, @RickMulready! Want to win a 30-minute strategy session with me? I’ll be drawing one winner at random each month, and all you have to do is give me your feedback on this podcast over at http://rickmulready.com/messenger, telling me what you’d like to hear more of - including topics you’d like to see covered, guests, style and frequency of the show! On the Show Today You’ll Learn: • Some mistakes that have been made in Alan’s early ad campaigns, including not increasing his ad spend gradually • How he can change the copy and messaging in his ads to better target the different audiences that could benefit from what he sells • What he can do for market research that will ultimately help with his messaging and ad copy • Changes he can make to the videos he uses for his ads and where he should start with testing • What’s next for Alan and why I think that starting a podcast would be the perfect platform for what he has to offer

Today’s strategy session is with one of my students, Rachel Lindtiegan, who use to be employed with an ad agency in New York City. Rachel left the corporate world to start her own coaching, consulting and online training business, and in this episode, she’ll be sharing her experiences launching her first online course. Rachel says that her recent launch “fell flat” and that she didn’t get any sales from it, so we break down the possible reasons for this, from her Facebook ad performance all the way through her webinar funnel. As you’ll hear, in Rachel’s case there’s nothing jumping out to me that she necessarily did wrong, but it’s a matter of just getting more people in the funnel and then her focusing on improving a few specific things. By doing this, I feel she’ll see massive improvements in the results she achieves in 2019. On the Show Today You’ll Learn: Rachel’s launch strategy and the results she achieved, including sign-ups, attendance rate, and more. The biggest challenges she faced with her webinar and launch in general What her follow-up sequence looked like and what I suggest she do in order to get invaluable feedback from her audience Why I wouldn’t worry about re-targeting if I were Rachel (and what she should look to use as her objective next time) Steps she can take to build awareness for her first launch of 2019 and the way she can use a live course and challenge to promote it My budget recommendations for Facebook ad spend on Rachel’s next launch

Jam packed episode alert! The "Mega-Webinar" Funnel! I have been doing a ton of recording today within our facebook group, Sold With Webinars. And if you are not already, join our Sold With Webinars facebook group -> Join here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/196719864399304/ Today within the group, we had two webinar ad experts appear LIVE. They donated their time and broke down some of our members ad accounts LIVE. SUPER valuable! Then I did a live training - a live breakdown of Dr. Axe's webinar funnel. And it was a lot of fun! The group got to listen to me watch the webinar live and break it down. Literally everyone got a peek into how my brain operates when I break down webinars for my clients. Now I am not going to give away all the secrets, but here are some of the things I wanted to share with you now: Dr. Axe paired up two funnels into one; The "Mega Funnel" was AWESOME; When I build/write webinars I am always crafting the messaging, content and angles. This is all of your hot, warm, and cold traffic content - USE THIS CONTENT again and again; Repurposed content is what we do -> when you complete your webinar you are also completing content that can be used in different forms and in different places; So many "ah-ha" moments during my live... I want to inspire you -> WEBINARS can be used in so many places. You can get so much traction out of one webinar; treat it as fifteen pieces of content, not just one. If you want to listen in on the live webinar breakdown of Dr. Axe's webinar, please join our group, The Webinar Vault. I am offering a 7 day free trial. She said, "Entrepreneurs can get stuck in launch mode... for years" and everything clicked. I love live launching but I also love my sanity. I knew I had to change the way I was selling and marketing my products otherwise I was about to sink into a miserable pit of self-induced stress and anxiety. This one funnel in my business is the start to something better. It's a baby funnel that is converting really well with only 30 days of data to backup the current conversion rate but I wanted to show you behind the scenes of what this funnel looks like in my business, what it is doing for me and answering #allthethings when it comes to automating sales. I’m in the same mastermind group as today’s guest, Caitlin Bacher, and by getting to know Caitlin, I just knew I had to have her on the podcast to talk about her evergreen webinar funnel and marketing strategies. Caitlin helps course creators increase their income through the power of Facebook groups and automated webinars, and she is the creator of an online course called The Fab Facebook Group System. Caitlin also hosts a popular 12-month group coaching program called Scale with Success. Caitlin has her business to a point now where she is running one automated webinar and generating revenues up to $300,000 per month, and she reveals her current ad spend and ROI in this episode. As you’ll hear today, Caitlin is an example of someone who did a lot of testing and had to go through a lot of trial and error to discover what works for her. She shares the importance of tracking your key performance indicators (KPIs) and working closely with a good ads manager, something we talk a lot about here on the podcast. I am so amazed at her business growth in a relatively short period of time, and I’m sure you will be too. On the Show Today You’ll Learn: How Caitlin differentiated herself starting out and what she noticed that helped her discover her niche Why focusing on a particular person, as opposed to a thing, was key to the growth of her business The mindset you need to use when targeting cold traffic for webinars and what made her decide that she needed to automate hers How running evergreen webinars differs from doing launches and the ways Caitlin had to change her thinking around this What her team looked like starting out and how she’s been able to grow it now in 2018 Why focusing on the wrong things can be so harmful to your business
I'm tripling how often I deliver my webinar. BUT, sometimes I can't be there to do it live, so... Hey, what's going on everyone. This is Steve Larsen, and you're listening to Sales Funnel Radio. Welcome to Sales Funnel Radio where you'll learn marketing strategies to grow your online business using today's best internet sales funnels. And now, here's your host, Steve Larsen. So I was just outside. We've been shipping just a whole bunch of stuff into the house, stuff for our garage, stuff for ... just lots of different stuff. And a lot of the stuff has come on big pallets and things like that. We've been shipping a lot of cool stuff in here. It's been fun. But funny enough, we've just had this stack of boxes and pallets and all this stuff all over the place and so we've been wondering what to do with it. There's no one who comes out and says, "Hey, you've got a whole bunch of pallets you've got to get rid of?" You know what I mean? So it's funny, for Valentine's Day, my wife got me an ax, which is kind of fun, actually. So I've been outside for the last three hours just bashing apart and burning these pallets, and it's been a whole lot of fun. It's totally manly. Hey, this last week has been kind of interesting with my webinar. A lot of sales at first, kind of trickled down, and then it really slowed down quite a bit, and I know ... I figured out why. I think I figured out why. I think it's because ... So here's the numbers, right. I still have a 56 percent opt in rate on my first page. 56 percent. It's awesome. It's really, really ... I mean super, super cool. I'll get 150 to 200 people registering from my webinar each week. But there's only like a 7 to 10 percent show up rate. Of the people who show up, I still end up usually closing anywhere from 10 to 20 percent, which is an awesome close rate for a webinar. But the actual show up rate is so low that the last little bit here hasn't been that many sales. I'm like, okay, what's the problem? And I know there's probably some guru or whatever's out there who's like, "Why would you ever share these numbers? Don't make yourself look bad." What I'm trying to help you understand and to know and show and see, is that my reaction to what the market is telling me is what is key right here. And so I was ... I'm not going to lie, I was super frustrated, like, what the heck's going on? C'mon. I know the product's freaking awesome. There's no one else selling anything that's like this. I know it's incredible. I've had amazing success stories with it. People are doing amazing things with it. Like, ah. It's been so cool. So I'm like, okay. But that just goes to show what I keep saying to all these people too. Stop focusing and freaking out so much about the product. Start focusing and be obsessive over the sales message and the product will take care of itself. You go and you make something awesome. And it should still be awesome, but you know what I mean? Focus on that second... Anyway, so I was boxing Russell, and I was like, "Dude, I don't know what the heck's going on. It's nerve-wracking doing one webinar per week, and ... " Follow me on this okay? There's something very specific I want to tell you guys on this webinar because I'm very excited you guys. I think I hacked out the way cook funnels works a little bit. It's so cool. So anyway, I was boxing Russell and I was like, dude, what's going on. What do you think's happening? What do you ... " And he was making fun of me because I'm still putting a dollar in on ads and I'll get like $4 back out. And he was like, "I'm Stephen. I only 4Xed my money." And I was like okay, "Okay, I get it." And it's still that kind of thing. But it's like the numbers are tiny. I was like, "How do I scale this thing up so that my show up rate's higher?" And he was like, "Yeah, my show up rate ..." He usually gets a 25% show up rate. And I was like, "I'm floating around anywhere from 7% down to ... up to 15%. It's still kind of low. You know?" So that's the number I'm working on. And so, all these little things that I've been doing to my webinar to get it to increase. Anyways, I was telling him about it. And I go, "Dude, I can't handle ... It's my sole income. You know what I mean?" I'm putting my money where my mouth is and this is my sole income. And we're doing totally fine, by the way. It made more money last month than I've had in my bank account ever. We're doing great but still, the consistency of it is part of the sexiness of it. You know what I mean? And so, I was like, "What's wrong? How can I react to what the market is telling me?" So I was telling him all this and was like, "Once per week is rough because I'm eating what I kill. You know?" And he goes, "Well, what if you just do it twice a week?" I was like, "Huh." Why have I never thought about that? So I was like, "Okay.' So I ... A few nights later, I was like, "Okay, I got to think through this model." How do I from a technical standpoint run this thing in a way so that when group one is going through my replay sequence, they're not also seeing the Facebook ads that I'm running for group two that week. Right? And so, I was sitting there and I don't know what it is about Dubstep guys but I was putting my headphones on and it always gets me in the creative zone just a little bit. I don't know. But maybe that weird but whatever. Different kinds of music do affect me differently and my creative zen, you know what I mean? So I was sitting there and actually I put my headphones on and I started just pacing around my office here. And this is how I solve problems. I don't know if anyone knows ... I've never really told you guys this. That is how I solve problems. And I solved ... What I will do, and one of the commonalities of people I see who don't solve problems in their life is they see that there's a problem and then rather than accept the fact that there's a problem and they don't know the answer, they just act like it's not there and move on and ... Or they'll say, "I can't move on because it's here." And they don't look to themselves and their own noggin to try and figure it out. I was listening to this really cool interview ... it wasn't an interview, it was a speech. I don't know who it was. It was some guy on the internet speaking in front of a ton of people. And he said some things that were really profound and he was going through some interesting numbers that they were finding. And what they figured out was that successful people will solve 80% of the problems the first time that they hear them. I think I was saying that right. Meaning they solve literally almost every single problem. They make a decision. Solve isn't the right word. They make a decision. There we go. That's what it was. They make a decision 80% of the time. Right? So something comes to them and they're like, "Hey I've got this thing. Go make a choice on it, Steven. Go make a choice." 80% of the time, they make a decision right then. And that's what he was teaching. He was trying to show, look, successful people don't take forever to make a decision. They just make a decision and they move forward. And they just get crap done and they know ... They make the decision as best they can with the information they have right there with the understanding that it could be wrong. But they're so good at making decisions on a fast basis that their chances of actually being successful are so much higher and it's one of the reasons they are successful is because they make decisions very, very quickly. And so, I had that in my mind and I was walking around. And I love getting into the zone, guys. It is one of my favorite things to do ever. I was going to go to sleep. It was late at night but for whatever reason ... It was late at night and I was in the zen state and the creativity ... I don't really control when those moments happen. I just follow them when they do. And so I stayed up. I had the music on. I was pacing around and I had this ... that kind of lesson in my head of hey look, I've got to make decisions 80% of the time the very first time I have to make ... that I need to be making it. I hope that makes sense what I'm saying with that. But when you have a decision to make, 80% of the time you should make a decision the very first time you hear about and you make it on the spot. And so anyways, I was pacing around and I was like, "Okay, this is ... gosh, how do I solve this? How do I solve this?" And what I do mentally, guys, is I try and look for, I think of them as threads. And I start looking around, I closed my eyes. And I usually start pacing around in my office kind of fast. And it gets a little bit detrimental sometimes with my eyes closed but I do. And I'll have music going and it's loud and I'm trying to find a thread. That's how I think of it. I'm looking for a thread. And I think of it like there's all these threads, these possible solutions to the thing I'm looking for. I don't really know what it is. And I don't really know that it's going to be the solution yet. But what I do is I start thinking through in my head ... I don't know if this is weird but this is how I think about it. This is what I do. And what I do those is I start thinking through all these threads and I grab a thread that's there that exists and I start following it. That's how I think of it. I think of it as I'm going hand over hand following this thread. And I don't know what's on the other end of it. I love those states because what always ends up happening is the first thing I have to do is I have to draw the end of the thread. And so, that's what I did is I came over and I was like, I think I know how to solve this problem. I think I know how to solve this problem. I don't know how it's totally done yet but I know enough that I could start drawing. And so, I go to my whiteboard. And that's always the next step that I always go through. I go to my whiteboard and I start drawing the end of the thread, whatever it is that I believe will lead to the solution. And it was a very interesting thing that happened. And I started drawing it. I started drawing it and I put the marker back down and I kind of paced around for a little while and I was like, okay, but what's the next step after that? What is it? What is it? And I started walking around and usually I'm pacing kind of quick. And funny enough, it wasn't the right solution but another one took its place and I followed that one and that's how I solved it... Here's what I was trying to figure out. And I hope that makes sense what I'm saying is like, I've seen that most entrepreneurs out there do this. Certainly, Russell does. Certainly most of the ultra-successful people that I've seen or been around or gotten to work with or just gleaned info from, most of them, they don't always know what the outcome's going to be, they just know that the beginning's real good and if they can sprint at it hard enough, make as many decisions on a fast basis as they can, usually it'll be shown to them the kind of thing they need to be doing. So here's what I was figuring out though. So Russell's like, "Hey, do two webinars a week." And I was like, "Well, what's better than two webinars a week? Three webinars a week." And I was like, Cool." So, I am doing starting this Tuesday, I'm doing my webinar live three times a week. Okay? It's very aggressive but there's a lot of reasons why I'm doing it that way. So I'm doing it literally Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. And what I've done is I figured out a model because usually the model that we teach at Click Funnels, that I teach Two Coaching and Secrets of Master Guide, even in Expert Secrets and all the different trainings. The webinars are in this one per week model where Monday through Thursday you're promoting, Thursday do the webinar, and Friday through Sunday you do your replay sequence. I was like, okay, but how do I squish into this thing three webinars a week without overlapping. And so what I did was I figured out how to do it. And I figured out this model. Which is super cool because it still feels like an isolated event to the people who in the middle of it. They don't know that there are these other webinars that are going on also. And what's cool about that is it lets me perfect the message at a faster pace, right? Brandon and Katelyn Pullman, I think they did their webinar thirty some times before they actually automated it. Russell did his 60 or 70 before he automated it, right? I'm trying to get to that number. I'm trying to get to those volumes of having done it so I know the script so well, so well. And I know what the issues are. I know that the good, the bad, the ugly. I know what's converting well. I know the stories that work well. I know the stories that are not good to tell. You know what I mean? I'm trying to figure out what that is but I'm trying to run at it because I feel like you can't skirt that process. You know what I mean? There's shortcuts. There certainly are shortcuts. There really are secrets. There really are hacks. But some stuff you just can't shortcut. And so rather than me trying to shortcut it and go straight to an automated webinar, I'm actually trying to just marry the process. I'm looking at it like a sport, okay? This is mat time. This is gym time. This is me just spending time in my craft. And so, that's what I've been doing. And I just figured out, I'm about to build it right now. I just figured out how to do the entire thing. And I was checking with my amazing ads lady and she's fantastic and she's like, "Yeah, that could totally work." And so, I will probably do some kind of training on it in the future here because it's super powerful. So as I was looking at it, it was like three times a week. I am zapped from a single webinar. The way I do them with such high energy. If you want to check it out guys I would love to have you one it. It's secretmlmhacks.com if you guys want to. But it's been really, really cool. And I convert really well on the webinar. And I get an amazing opt in rate. The one thing I'm tweaking right now, and I know exactly what I'm going to do. And I'll tell you guys about it in the future which probably means next week. Because I think I figured out how to solve my problem, my show up rate problem. And I got some just awesome stuff down that's coming. Oh my gosh. It's cutting edge. There's only two other people on earth that have what I'm about to go put out and I'm really excited about it. Anyway, it's super cutting edge but I'll tell you guys about it in the future. How's that for salting the oats, right? Anyway, so what I did though was I figured out how to do this and run this thing in a way. And I was like, three webinars in a week, we got Funnel Hacking Live coming up. I'm speaking at an event. There's 2,500 people at it. I'm super excited about it. I just got asked. It's going to be so cool. It's the beginning of March. I'm going to go to Grant Cardone's 10X event. Anyway, so there's life. What do I do when I can't do one of these webinars? Three a week? That's a lot... So what I did was I figured out that in those scenarios where I physically cannot do the webinar, I will automate it. And I will deliver an automated version of the webinar. And so what I've been doing and going through and figuring out is how in a single click to turn my entire funnel from a live webinar funnel into an automated funnel. So for that one time ... So Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, right? Let's say Thursday, I'm at an event and I can't do it. Well, for that group, that scenario, I will run an automated webinar with a single click and switch the entire funnel from an automated funnel ... from a live one to an automated one. And then in a click, turn it all back. That's what I figured out that night. Thank you Dubstep and pacing around and following threads in my noggin. That's what I figured out. And at some point, I'll probably do some cool trainings. I want to show you guys this stuff. It's really ninja. I don't think that there's a way you can sidestep having to do it live over and over and over again. I even asked Russell, I was like, "Dude, maybe I should just automate it." And he started laughing and he's like, "I'm not going to let you off the hook that easy dude. You keep doing it live." And I was like, "Gosh dang it. Just let me automate this thing." Oh man. Anyway, I've been pumped about it and I'm trying to marry the process and keep to what works. You know what I mean? When I was in basic training, I shot really, really well with my M16, a shot expert. I shot so well that it was only me and another guy out of 200 that actually won a phone call home which was awesome. And what I was doing though is I was marrying the process. And they would teach us ... There's a lot to shooting, by the way. And I love it. Shooting's tons of fun. And so, there's all these different things they teach us. And one of the things they'd have us do is they'd have us lay down, obviously on the prone, but on concrete. And we'd lay in the prone and hold our M16 and then we'd just start smacking our elbows on the ground. And the reason why is it would toughen the elbows and we could hold steadier for a long time. We'd literally be trying to bruise our elbows. And we'd take our elbows and we'd just start smacking them on the floor. Sounds kind of crazy but it worked... So I would be in the barracks when everyone's hanging out and I'd be in the prone smacking my elbows on the ground. I'd be putting canteens on the very end of my barrel, full ones, and try to hold it as steady as possible for 30 minutes. We'd put dimes on the end of the barrel and hold it as steady as possible and do an entire cycle meaning I would charge the weapon, fire it, and try and hold the dime at the very end of the barrel and keep it that steady so it wouldn't fall off during the entire cycle. And so, my body moves. I charge the weapon ... I put a round it. Nothing in, a blank or whatever, and I'd fire and then try and not have that dime fall off. And I married the process, guys. There's no short cutting certain things in this business, in this life. And rather than trying to fight it, marry it. And you stay the course and that's what I'm ... And I always talk about that. I do it too. I'm still reminding myself, okay, don't seek a shortcut, Stephen, just seek to be the best in this process. And so I'm trying to do that. That's, as far as documenting the journey, that's what I'm doing right now... So anyway, been a ton of fun and that's what I'm doing. So, I am literally right now I'm about to go and build an automated version of the webinar for those scenarios when I can't do it the third time that week. You know what I mean? But I'll flip it right back out. I don't want to ... I'm not ready to automate the thing yet. I don't want to yet. I'm not quite dreaming about the slides yet. When I start dreaming about it, that's when I know that it's really a part of my subconscious but I'm not doing it. It sounds stupid but it's true. Okay? I've had dreams in the editor. I've built whole funnels in my sleep. And brainstormed headlines, okay? There's a level of obsession that you've got to have with this stuff and so anyways. All righty. So, that's been it and that's what I'm excited about. And that's what I'm literally about to go do right now. So I'm going to shut this thing off and got ClickFunnels up right here, got my two monitors. And I'm looking at my little map that I drew that night. And sometime, I'll make a cool map out of it and I'll probably do some training on it and toss that out there. But anyway, it's been a lot of fun. It's been ... I'm just trying to show you guys the process. Like okay, when the funnel does well, and it did well for a while, but there's either ad fatigue going on which I don't think that's what it is at all. There's this or that but as I look at the numbers, the numbers are telling me a story. And the story is you've got to talk ... You've got to increase your show up rate. So I'm just ... I know what that plan is. I'll tell you guys what it is in a little bit here. I think it's going to work really, really well. I'll tell you about it in a little bit. But the second thing I'm doing is just increasing the frequency. So just increasing the show up rate, increasing the frequency of me actually doing the webinar. And I think that's the next step so that's where I'm following it. And that's where that thread goes. Anyway guys, thank so much, appreciate it. And thanks for being a listener. It means a lot. We just barely passed 100,000 downloads with this thing as you guys know and I'm pumped. Thanks guys. Thanks for listening to Sales Funnel Radio. Please remember to subscribe and leave feedback. Russell Brunson and Gary V have both said it's better to "Document and Sell", rather than simply just "Create and Sell"... SO! Watch me build my next personal webinar funnel LIVE... What's up everyone? This is Steve Larsen. You're listening to Sales Funnel Radio. Welcome to Sales Funnel Radio, where you'll learn marketing strategies to grow your online business using today's best internet sales funnels. And now here's your host, Steve Larsen. All right, all right. Hey, it's gonna be a fast episode. It's more of an announcement styled episode. Hey, a few episodes ago I finished a six part series where I went through each of the industry's, basically six different categories of businesses, that are using ClickFunnels. And honestly, pretty much every business that I know of fits in them. And it was fun because I went through each one of those categories, and went and I found a rock star that's killing it in each one of those areas. Now my whole ... I believe in a level of business karma. And I know that there are people out there who may not be in love with sales funnels the way I am, and that's totally fine. It's my thing. And you have a thing. I'm not asking you to take on my thing. All right? It's your peak. You stay at your peak. You be the best in the world. Stay on that peak. It's the reason I won't go learn Facebook ads. One day, Facebook won't be the hot shot stuff. You know what I mean? One day, there will be a new traffic source that's massive. Now it may not happen for a really long time. I don't know. But guess what I know is always going to be there? Funnels. Because it has to do with sales. And whether or not you meant to build one, you have a funnel. All right? Online or offline, you always have a funnel. Right? And so I decided to stay on this peak. Well so, I got these six different categories, and I've been thinking to myself how cool would it be if I went and I live built a funnel, that works really well in each of those six different categories? And so what I thought was now I don't know how long this will take. I don't know the timeline. If it's gonna be really, it's gonna be all over the place. But I'm going to ... Anyway, I believe that if I just keep pumping value into the marketplace, value always comes back. And every time I've ever done that, it's always true. And so I thought how cool would it be ... What if I was to build a Webinar Funnel live for everyone? You know? And I probably wouldn't give the funnel away for free because every time I build them, they take a solid ten hours. You know? I'm not just gonna give that for free. I'd charge for it. But it wouldn't be a lot. It'd just be a little bit. But how cool would it be if I went and I built an application style funnel the way that I know they work? How cool would it be if I went and I built an E-commerce funnel the way that I know that they work? MLM the way I know that they work? You know what I mean? Each one of the industries, go through it. Retail. Back and forth, and back and forth, and I actually built live. And you guys could come join me and watch, and ask questions, and stuff. That's freakin' awesome. That would be a lot of fun. Anyway. So that's what I'm thinking. And I'm thinking it'd be a lot of fun. And so I guess the, I don't know if you want this kind of lesson or whatever with this. If you can include people in the act of your own craft. Whatever your specialty is, if you can include people in that, you're really ... You guys know it was in the movie, "Hitch." Right? In the movie, "Hitch," there's that scene where Will Smith goes and he makes dinner with the chef. You know what I mean? With his date and his date's boss. Right? And he goes, and he's there, and he's cooking the food with him. The chef is including them in the process of making the food. That's why they're there for the process. The more you can do that, and unveil, and show behind the curtains of what it is that you actually do, and peel back the curtain, and show like hey, this is how I do what I do. People fall in love with you like that. And so I guess that's me just being vulnerable just telling you that's my goal is to help you see exactly what I do, and why I do it. And so what I'm thinking is I ... Anyway, I think the way I'm gonna do this ... I had this idea just a few days ago. And I think I'm gonna do it. Where I think we'll have it where if you go to salesfunnelbroker.com/live, salesfunnelbroker.com/live. I used to have it all building, or I'd build live on a different platform, but I kinda want to keep it all in the Sales Funnel Broker platform, that I've already got there. By the way, there's the equivalent of thousands, and thousands, and thousands, and thousands of opt-ins. There's so many people, that have downloaded free funnels off of that site, which is awesome. But that's the reason I built is just to give tons of value away. But I kinda need to revamp it. I built that over a year ago now, and I need to get that a little bit more. I need to update it. So I thought how cool would it be if I actually included you in the update. And if I go rebuild kind of the bank of funnels that's there as well as all of the stuff that is given. So I'm gonna start with a Webinar Funnel. And I'm gonna do it I think on September 30th, this Saturday. And I'll get up, and so right now by the time you hear this episode, this will be up. Go to salesfunnelbroker.com/live. And what I want you to do is you can opt in. And what you're opting in for is basically I'm gonna make that page basically a webinar registration page. And what you're gonna do is you're gonna be able to register for a live funnel build with me, and with whoever else wants to watch. And you can follow through, and do the same thing that I'm doing. Now I'm not there to train each aspect of ClickFunnels, or to give massive orientation. So I'm gonna go my normal speed. And I'll play some music. And I'll explain what I'm doing as I'm doing it. And it'll be a lot of fun. Like they're just funnels I want to build anyway. I love what I do. But just know that I'm doing it for a specific purpose, for specific reasons. And I thought hey, how cool would it be if I just, I don't know, if you want to join. So, and then what I thought would be kinda cool was if I posted the replays underneath. And you can get the full replay when, and the funnel that I built. You know? And I'll charge. But it's not gonna be a ton. But these will be prebuilt funnels based on how I know that it works. So I've built almost 300 sales funnels now for ClickFunnels in the last year and a half. I built a crap ton of funnels. I literally have dreamt in the Editor, the ClickFunnels Editor. You know what I mean? Anyway. So this is kinda a fast episode, but I thought I'd give that announcement, that this could be kinda neat. That if you want go to ... And I'll always, I'll have you opt in so for the purpose of me being able to go and announce when the next funnel building live session is. So the first one will start with the Webinar Funnel. But then we'll go on to the next one. Right? Be an E-commerce funnel. Then we might go onto the next on. It might be a ... You know what I'm saying? And I thought how freakin' cool would that be to include you guys in that process. You can see, number one what I'm doing. Number two though, I actually give you the funnel, that you were watching me build. Like that's freakin' awesome. With all the little tricks, and all the little things that I do, and all the little ninja stuff, that we know works. And I mean that's freakin' cool. So anyway, whenever you're ... Think about your own business right now. What can you do to include your customers, and your prospective customers, or your following, or whoever. In the process of your craft include them in your craft. It's your art. You know what I mean? And don't be afraid if people are gonna steal your art. That's not at all what this is. So I wouldn't be too nervous about that. So all right guys, number one let me know if that's sweet 'cause I think it's, I think it'd be awesome. Just know that it's gonna be a several month project. It's not like it's gonna be I'll drip this out as I have time to, which is very limited. But I'm gonna start with the Webinar Funnel, and I'm gonna do it on September 30th. If you're gonna ... If you hear this episode afterward, it's probably already up. So you can probably go check it out. Again that's salesfunnelbroker.com/live. I'm gonna revamp that entire thing. But for right now, that's how we're gonna do it. So yeah, I think that's how we'll do it. All right guys, cool. That's all this episode is. Just a little fast. A little invitation announcement. And the reason that I'm doing it is because we've learned that when you actually show people what it is behind the scenes that you're doing, you're sales go up like crazy because you're answering all these beliefs inside their head, that might have been false. You're rebuilding belief patterns without them even asking. For example, Funnel Fridays. Right? Funnel Fridays is something that Russell puts together with Jim Edwards who's the creator of Funnel Scripts. Last year that made millions, and millions of dollars. Several multi-millions by doing nothing else other than showing how Funnel Scripts works in those 30 minute little funnel building segments. You see what I'm saying? That's exactly why I'm doing it. So I'm gonna go through and I'm gonna show you guys what I do. That's my skill. That's my art, and my craft, and the thing that I love doing. And so I thought hey, might as well show you what I'm actually doing. And I've got another 200 funnels to build in the next few weeks here, which is ridiculous. I don't know if I'm gonna make it. But it kinda stresses me out to be honest. But how the heck can Steve Larsen do it that fast? Well I'm gonna show you, and then I'll give you the option to be able to get the actual funnel, that you're watching me build. And you can follow along with it, anyway. So be prepared for a five, six hour build. Okay. It's gonna be long. And we'll have the whole thing ... I'll have the whole thing recorded for you for your pleasure. So all right guys, I'll talk to you later. Again, go to salesfunnelbroker.com/live.

Super pumped to welcome my friend Melyssa Griffin to the podcast today, where we’re talking all about how she’s created a 7-figure automated webinar funnel in just 18 months. Melyssa is a super-successful entrepreneur who’s teaching others how to grow their audience and monetize their passions, but she’s a lot more than that... I can honestly say after getting to know her that she’s one of the nicest and most genuine people out there. Today she takes us behind-the-scenes of her automated funnel including how it’s become the foundation for the rest of her business, giving her freedom to launch other projects she’s passionate about like a membership site and new podcast. You’ll hear the mistakes she made with her first automated webinar, how she figured out why it wasn’t working and the adjustments she made to correct them. She also discusses the different offers she makes on her webinars versus the ones that are always available for purchase on her website… On the Show Today You’ll Also Learn: How Melyssa started her business “accidentally” – feeling like she got sucked into the possibilities available in the online world The ways she initially drove people to her blog, and the role SEO played What she considers to be the true turning point in her business Why Melyssa thinks her strategy worked so well for her - while many people are trying something similar and not getting these type of results How she Differentiates the offers that she makes on her webinar vs the offer that is always available How much revenue monthly Melyssa is generating from her FB ads, and what she’s spending on ads to achieve this What she covers in her funnel emails How long her webinar funnel is (considering how crazy successful she has been, this may surprise you) And a whole lot more… Coming up in next week’s episode, Andrew Hubbard, who runs Melyssa’s Facebook ad campaigns, will be joining me to dive into how he’s getting such good results with this automated webinar funnel.
Today we chat with Casey Zeman, Founder of EasyWebinar, who shares the secrets of an automated webinar funnel that earned 3k a day. Casey also shares how to create evergreen webinars, which software and resources to use, and how to do it all on a budget. Time Stamped Show Notes: 1:38 – Introduction. 9:42 – Casey explains that an automated webinar is essentially a webinar that can stream in real time without you having to be there. So you take your perfect show and stream it out, it plays in real time, people come to it and they watch it, ask questions and you have offers that popup but you are actually sitting at home and maybe responding to people on phone. 10:29 – There are 7 thousand people that use Easy Webinar and most of these people are experts, authors, coaches and consultants. Casey’s system of the automated webinar allows you to see how much someone watches a webinar, you can see the actions performed during a webinar and that helps you gauge what people are doing. 11:48 – The software allows you to create one time events that are like live webinars but you are just not there or you can create evergreen webinars, events that can stream every single day at any point when someone comes to the page it’s going to show the next available time that they can be streamed in your attendee’s local time zone. As an admin you can also stream it out multiple times a day and you can also decide that when someone comes to the registration page to not let them register for a same day webinar they have to register for a future webinar but it’s still automated. 16:00 – Casey says that if you are going to do Facebook ads, and you want to know how to build and nurture effectively the right way and do a Facebook ad straight to a registration page, he has a lot of clients that do it and it works and the majority of them close the clients on the follow up and so even if they don’t consume the webinar, they have good enough campaigns where let’s say they come and register for a webinar that’s starting in real time and someone doesn’t watch it, then they will get a follow up reminding them that they registered but didn’t show up for the webinar and then a link to re-register for it is sent to them, which takes them to the registration page but now they sign up for a different time slot. 17:56 – His system integrates with most of the popular autoresponders and the ones that have a tagging system, you can trigger actions through easy webinar that will start campaigns in those platforms that are based on the actions performed during the webinar. 19:14 – Casey’s 3K a day funnel is slightly different, he has a four video series that he sends people through which is followed up by an automated webinar and then sales are closed on the automated webinar. And if they don’t buy from the four videos or the workshop, they are sent on to another automated webinar in the sequence that sends them into a course that teaches them about webinars. 21:19 – He has clients that are using his system for 3K a day where they are using it for a consulting funnel but there also people who are doing 20K a day where they start a low hanging fruit offer on an automated webinar and then sell a higher offer on a second automated webinar. 21:56 – If you can offer some sort of early freebie before you offer the webinar, that gets them excited and engaged to where they want to come into the webinar and then come into the workshop. 23:38 – Casey says that when you take them to the thank you page, there’s a link at the bottom of the thank you page saying this is the link that sends you into the webinar and the video has to be compelling enough on your thank you page to where you take up all the time before the webinar starts. When they are on the thank you page, they access the webinar through the link below and when they do they are automatically going to be getting a free gift when they show up to the webinar and so you don’t want to miss this and block out your calendar, show up, click that link to come on to the page that will take you to a countdown page prior to the event starting and when that countdown hits zero, that’s when the event starts and if they leave this page then there are emails going out to them and if they click on those emails, they will be able to come into this countdown page as well. 26:04 – One of the mistakes that Casey made earlier on is that he made an excellent 4-part video series and spent 25000 dollars on production but he realized that he didn’t need to spend that much on a four video series prior to bringing someone into a webinar because he probably could have done a blog article, a pdf, a simple video or even a Facebook live and saved himself a lot of money because people mostly buy from his webinar than they do off of his video series. 27:54 – According to Casey when you send people into an in time webinar, the problem with that is that a lot of people that use that way of doing it generally don’t sell off of those webinars because you are not building enough nurture ahead of time so selling off those webinars can be somewhat difficult. 29:16 – If you can narrow down the scope by creating more nurture, by the time they come to the webinar they already know you, they have already done their due diligence and now they are ready to come on through. 34:18 – An example of what Casey did before is that he had a webinar where he sent them to a thank you page and from the thank you page, he told them that the webinar was going to start and he told them that if they went to the countdown page, there is another video on the countdown page where they could hear stories of people who are having successful webinars. So he showed them case studies ahead of the webinar that sells the actual product. Resources Mentioned: You can visit EasyWebinar.com if you want to learn more about the platform. Greg Hickman is the “Automation King”. As someone who builds funnels for the some of the biggest names in the digital marketing industry, he’s well-qualified to give advice on what to consider when building out a webinar funnel. In this episode, Joel and Greg discuss what a simple automated webinar funnel looks like from start to finish, why to use urgency over discount when getting people to take action and some specific tools to use to complete automation. [2:23] Started System.ly out of desperation Started building marketing funnels for some of the top online entrepreneurs. [4:14] What's the first thing you'll be looking at when deciding to go automated? "We're looking to see if they have experience doing webinars first. More importantly, have they been selling from that webinar successfully." [5:10] Iteration is paramount when finding how to convert on a webinar, especially when testing a new offer. If creating something new, always start live to validate that they can close on a webinar. [7:06] Get people to know, like, and trust you faster than ever before and sell products... essentially on auto-pilot. [7:20] If you're new, validating or just getting into webinars for the first time, go live. [7:51] What does a simple automated webinar funnel from start to finish look like? "One of our beliefs at System.ly is start simple, get ninja later." In any funnel, always implement what's considered to be the minimum viable funnel first. Focus on simple. [8:59] Email notifications and reminders. "Tell people where to be, what you're gonna talk about, why they should show up." [10:02] The event and the follow-up. [10:58] The emails are focused on why they need to buy right now. "Expiring bonus" emails are most effective and should be "brick-to-forehead so complementary to your existing offer that you'd be dumb not to buy." [11:34] "The thing with discounts..." [13:26] Connecting urgency to an expiring bonus helps make people take action. [14:19] Joel recaps: Landing page > registration page for your event > confirmation page > a couple reminders pushing people to your webinar > sales page. [15:21] "Go more ninja". What are the next steps to automate? [16:55] "What do you mean 'they took it to the extreme and it had a negative impact?'" "She ended up getting comments that she didn't have integrity...When you'd look for her organically, a lot of negative stuff would show up first." [19:15] "Just because you can do a lot of these things doesn't mean you should." [19:57] Still have on-demand but only within a certain number of times. [20:06] On-demand defined [21:40] Warm-up emails are a key reason as to why people buy. [24:28] "When you automate a webinar, how do you determine if you can go straight to the automated webinar or put another step in front of it?" " I'd want to target and invite certain people directly into my webinar and others veer into a warm up funnel or sequence." [28:46] Make the problem aware and educate them with a solution. [29:01] "It's so important to crystalize your solution by taking a step back and envisioning your customer journey." [30:03] Build things that are closest to the transaction as possible. [32:04] Tools to complete automation: Marketing automation: Infusionsoft ActiveCampaign (get started for $9/mo.) A glimpse behind the scenes of our new offer that we're rolling next week. On this foggy episode Russell talks about the rebirth of the continuity program, and why he thinks the continuity program is so valuable. He also discusses Funnel University and why it's unique. Here are 3 fun things in today's episode: Why Russell thinks he will see tons of other continuity programs popping up in the next few months. Why Russell is also bringing back the video sales letter. And what Russell sees as his role on the internet right now. So listen below to get excited about Funnel University, continuity programs, and video sales letters. ---Transcript--- Good morning, everybody. Welcome to a foggy Marketing In Your Car. Alright, so I'm driving through the fog right now. It reminds me of, have you guys all seen, what's it called, Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer, the old clay-mation one. Where Yukon Cornelius and them are running away from the abominable snowman and they're going through the fog, and he's like, “this fog is as thick as pea soup.” Anyway, this feels like today, we're going through pea soup, I can barely see the stop lights in front of me. But it'll be fun, so that's kind of what's happening. So today, I'm excited. I've been kind of on lock down. I feel bad, I haven't done a Periscope this whole week. At least I've been talking to you guys right. I've just been in work mode, it's been awesome. I had, I think it was Monday I had a bunch of calls and meetings, and Tuesday same thing. I can't remember, anyway. But Wednesday and Thursday, all I did all day was build a new funnel we're launching called Funnel University. I'm so excited. I'm so proud of it. But, I want to call my shot so I'm going to pull a Babe Ruth on you all and I'm going to call my shot. So, I look at what's happened to our marketplace since we launched Clickfunnels a year and a half ago. And back then there were people doing a lot of things, and since then we kind of launched really hard and heavy with the Webinar Funnel and the High Ticket Funnel, that's what people have seen. And it's been interesting as I've watched my clients, my students, and even Clickfunnels members as a whole, everyone seems like they pretty much…not that they only have, but as a whole the masses have focused on…and also excuse me, Trip Wire funnels, the masses have focused on those. There's been Trip Wires, there's been Webinars, High Tickets. And I would say 98% of pages I've seen in the last year has been one of those three things which is cool, which is awesome cause those are the ones we've been pushing hard. You know people are funnel hacking me and the process and then everyone else is doing it and funnel hacking each other. It's been fun and interesting. But what's been weird for me, cause I've been doing this for a long, because I think this is year 12 or year 13 for me. I've been doing this a long time, and I see cycles of what people are focusing on, what they're doing, how they're selling and stuff like that. So the cycle's been Trip Wires, Webinars, and High Ticket, which is cool because, I mean the new book we're launching called Funnel Stacking focuses on Trip Wire, Webinar, and High Ticket, that's the thing. But there's two pieces that I feel like are super valuable in this whole marketing game, that in times of my career have been the most important thing. Again, I watch the trends, and two trends that I feel like have been dead in the last two years, and I'm calling my shot and maybe this is just me, I don't know and maybe I shouldn't be saying this, maybe it's me thinking I'm cooler than I am, but we'll see. So I'm calling my shot right now. Two things that I'm bringing back with the Funnel University launch that's happening, it was supposed to happen yesterday, but we missed our deadlines. The lead or gold deadline was not hit, somebody's going to be shot in the head. No, just kidding. But we're going to be launching it, rolling out next week. Two things that are going to be unique number one, is we're launching a continuity program. And obviously that's not a new concept, but I haven't seen someone launch a continuity program in a long, long time. Have you? I've seen SAAS businesses, but I haven't seen a traditional continuity program. It's funny I remember when I joined the Dan Kennedy world way back in the day. Man, it's probably ten years ago now, dang I'm getting old. Anyway, they launched their entire continuity program based on the “free plus shipping” with the big huge package and their greatest free money making gift in the world and they put you on a continuity program which was a print news letter. And in the internet marketing space no one was doing it back then, so I saw and I was like, “Sweet!” So we made a free dvd offer and put people on a forced continuity program and we launched and I think in month one we had 800 people within 6 months we had 6000 people on this continuity program with our print newsletter and we were just crushing it, and then guess what happened? Everybody and their freaking dog did it too, it was kind of crazy. Soon it got to a point that there was 8000 print newsletter in the internet marketing industry, and all of them sucked except for mine. Well, no I'm going to say that they really did. I joined all of them cause I was thinking that they were going to be good, but no, they were all pretty bad. And maybe I'm biased, but I don't think I am. And then, what happened, eventually they all died away. And I've been the only one, we've been consistently doing a newsletter now for almost a decade, almost 10 years. Which is kind of cool. So, there you go people who've come and gone, we're still going hard and strong. Alright, so that's number one, is continuity program, and I've figured out a really cool way to do the pricing, the pitch, everything. That's number one the new thing. So watch, I'm calling my shot over the next six months you will see dozens if not hundreds, of continuity programs launched modeling this one. So that's number one. Number two is the rebirth of the video sales letter. I was going to do a webinar to launch this, and I thought you know what I don't want to do a webinar, I don't want to do this. So I didn't, so instead we did a video sales letter. We went back to the old Dotcom Secrets Labs book, and we went through all of our split-tests and there's like, I don't know, 50 split-tests are all based on video sales letters. Because in the cycle when we were hot and heavy with that, with the testing for that, we put it into the book, everything was video sales letter driven. Every one of our products, everyone else's products. That's how products were sold back then. But I've seen very little of it in the last 12 to 18 months in our worlds, so I decided I'm going to come back and do a video sales letter, you'll see the video spoiler box, you'll see all the elements that were proven winners from back then I have built into this page, which is excited. I'm excited for it, you should be excited as well. That is kind of what's happening. So that's two things we're launching. A video sales letter version, a selling system to sell a continuity program. So I'm calling my shot, I will see that knocked off more times in the next 6 to 8 months than anything prior to that. It's going to be the rebirth of continuity programs and the rebirth of video sales letters. So, I'm excited. Because I feel like my real goal in the Dotcom Secrets side of the business is to push the envelope and do cool things and everyone else can funnel hack me and model it for their business. That's kind of how I view my role right now. And hopefully I'll make a bunch of money in the interim while I'm kind of going through that process. I really want to be a good example of ways to sell things and cool things to sell. That people can then model for their individual businesses. That's really how I see my role right now. I think that there will be a time where Russell Brunson and Dotcom secrets brand will fade into the night and disappears. But, until that happens my goal is to be a shining beacon and you guys can all copy me. Just kidding, but that's kind of how I look at it, is I want to be a perfect model of cool stuff you can take and emulate. It's been fun in my coaching program, people like, “Russell I want to sell Mash print, how should I do it?” Boom! Go to Russellbrunson.com, funnel hack that funnel, that's how you should do it. “Everyone wants a webinar, what should I do?” Boom! Go to whatever.com, and should do that. You know and I just, I can show them perfect examples. “Russell, I want to do a continuity program, what should I do?” Boom! Go to funnelu.com and kind of point people to our models of each different selling models. “How do I do an invisible funnel?” Go to doubleyourreading.com. Like exactly. That's what I want me to be, is creating models that people can use as selling systems to reach each of their different things they're selling. So there you go. Hopefully that gets you guys excited a little bit. But that's what's happening. So I'm excited to roll south for nothing else, except it looks dang cool and I'm excited. Oh, there's another thing that I did. So typically when we do a video sales letters, and if you've read the dotcom secrets book you know this too, we use the star story solutions script to write a video sales letter typically. The problem is star story solution script works but it's kind of hard. It's a lot of work, to be completely honest. I think of all the selling things to do it's probably the hardest one which is why I think a lot of people have gravitated away from that, because it's a lot of work. Which is why typically for good video sales letter, you pay a copywriter 15 or 20 grand to write a really good star story solution script. That's just, in my experience, how it kind of goes. I didn't want create a star story solution script and I was going to do a webinar, so I was like, “What if I just do a webinar for a video sales letter, and I just make it a really cool video. High production value, but I'm just doing my webinar pitch. So I'm doing the perfect webinar pitch for my video sales letter. So when you see it you'll see that's what it is. I recorded it at my house in a couple of different locations. I teach three secrets, I do the whole belief pattern. I take the belief patterns, I crush them and rebuild them, do my stack. I basically I did the perfect webinar for the video sales letter, which I've never done either so I'm excited to see how that does, it could completely bomb, but I think it's going to crush it. And the reason why, it's funny it'd never even crossed my mind as an option until we did that Periscope, a little while a go, I did a podcast talking about how we did $150,000 through Periscope. That one I took perfect webinar script during a live Periscope, it took me 25 minutes to do it. We did $150,000 in sales, so I was like, “Man, this perfect webinar concept can work in other places.” And it was funny I was looking at a lot of weight loss video sales letters. Cause still into weight loss industry people still sell things in a traditionally do video sales letter. There's a lot more content and base stuff like, “Here are three foods that are going to make you die. Or the three foods you think make you skinny that actually make you fat.” So those still work. Those are structured a little more like a video sales letter, excuse me, more like the perfect webinar script. So that's the reasoning behind testing it. We will see, but hopefully people will start transitioning their webinars into videos like this. A couple of other cool things we did, again, it's not just me, it's me I'm teaching, I printed out a bunch of websites. I have them up on a easel and I'm showing cool stuff on them in the video. I got this cool graphic GUI animation guy to animate the graphics as well. We're trying to make some cool stuff, so hopefully you guys can look at those and model with your offers and your videos. Hopefully you get some inspirations. That's what's happening. I'm at the office right now, in this thick fog that's as thick as pea soup is keeping me from getting there on time. Decade In A Day starts in 3 minutes, 2 minutes now. Hopefully I get there before it starts. And then I got that for 4 hours, I'm going through 4 new inner circle members. I'm doing intake calls from them. Which will be fun. We call it process Decade In A Day, if you wanted to be part of that just go apply for inner circle at russellbrunson.com. And then after that I'll be focusing on getting in the rest of Funnel U live and hopefully by Monday or Tuesday next week you guys will see Funnel University. You have my permission to model it. Hope that helps, appreciate you guys. Have an amazing day and I will talk to you all again soon.
A glimpse behind the scenes of our new offer that we’re rolling next week. On this foggy episode Russell talks about the rebirth of the continuity program, and why he thinks the continuity program is so valuable. He also discusses Funnel University and why it’s unique. Here are 3 fun things in today’s episode: Why Russell thinks he will see tons of other continuity programs popping up in the next few months. Alright, so I’m driving through the fog right now. It reminds me of, have you guys all seen, what’s it called, Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer, the old clay-mation one. Where Yukon Cornelius and them are running away from the abominable snowman and they’re going through the fog, and he’s like, “this fog is as thick as pea soup.” Anyway, this feels like today, we’re going through pea soup, I can barely see the stop lights in front of me. But it’ll be fun, so that’s kind of what’s happening. So today, I’m excited. I’ve been kind of on lock down. I feel bad, I haven’t done a Periscope this whole week. At least I’ve been talking to you guys right. I’ve just been in work mode, it’s been awesome. I had, I think it was Monday I had a bunch of calls and meetings, and Tuesday same thing. I can’t remember, anyway. But Wednesday and Thursday, all I did all day was build a new funnel we’re launching called Funnel University. I’m so excited. I’m so proud of it. But, I want to call my shot so I’m going to pull a Babe Ruth on you all and I’m going to call my shot. So, I look at what’s happened to our marketplace since we launched Clickfunnels a year and a half ago. And back then there were people doing a lot of things, and since then we kind of launched really hard and heavy with the Webinar Funnel and the High Ticket Funnel, that’s what people have seen. And it’s been interesting as I’ve watched my clients, my students, and even Clickfunnels members as a whole, everyone seems like they pretty much…not that they only have, but as a whole the masses have focused on…and also excuse me, Trip Wire funnels, the masses have focused on those. There’s been Trip Wires, there’s been Webinars, High Tickets. And I would say 98% of pages I’ve seen in the last year has been one of those three things which is cool, which is awesome cause those are the ones we’ve been pushing hard. You know people are funnel hacking me and the process and then everyone else is doing it and funnel hacking each other. It’s been fun and interesting. But what’s been weird for me, cause I’ve been doing this for a long, because I think this is year 12 or year 13 for me. I’ve been doing this a long time, and I see cycles of what people are focusing on, what they’re doing, how they’re selling and stuff like that. So the cycle’s been Trip Wires, Webinars, and High Ticket, which is cool because, I mean the new book we’re launching called Funnel Stacking focuses on Trip Wire, Webinar, and High Ticket, that’s the thing. But there’s two pieces that I feel like are super valuable in this whole marketing game, that in times of my career have been the most important thing. Again, I watch the trends, and two trends that I feel like have been dead in the last two years, and I’m calling my shot and maybe this is just me, I don’t know and maybe I shouldn’t be saying this, maybe it’s me thinking I’m cooler than I am, but we’ll see. So I’m calling my shot right now. Two things that I’m bringing back with the Funnel University launch that’s happening, it was supposed to happen yesterday, but we missed our deadlines. The lead or gold deadline was not hit, somebody’s going to be shot in the head. No, just kidding. But we’re going to be launching it, rolling out next week. Two things that are going to be unique number one, is we’re launching a continuity program. And obviously that’s not a new concept, but I haven’t seen someone launch a continuity program in a long, long time. Have you? I’ve seen SAAS businesses, but I haven’t seen a traditional continuity program. It’s funny I remember when I joined the Dan Kennedy world way back in the day. Man, it’s probably ten years ago now, dang I’m getting old. Well, no I’m going to say that they really did. I joined all of them cause I was thinking that they were going to be good, but no, they were all pretty bad. And maybe I’m biased, but I don’t think I am. And then, what happened, eventually they all died away. And I’ve been the only one, we’ve been consistently doing a newsletter now for almost a decade, almost 10 years. Which is kind of cool. So, there you go people who’ve come and gone, we’re still going hard and strong. Alright, so that’s number one, is continuity program, and I’ve figured out a really cool way to do the pricing, the pitch, everything. That’s number one the new thing. So watch, I’m calling my shot over the next six months you will see dozens if not hundreds, of continuity programs launched modeling this one. So that’s number one. Number two is the rebirth of the video sales letter. I was going to do a webinar to launch this, and I thought you know what I don’t want to do a webinar, I don’t want to do this. So I didn’t, so instead we did a video sales letter. We went back to the old Dotcom Secrets Labs book, and we went through all of our split-tests and there’s like, I don’t know, 50 split-tests are all based on video sales letters. Because in the cycle when we were hot and heavy with that, with the testing for that, we put it into the book, everything was video sales letter driven. Every one of our products, everyone else’s products. That’s how products were sold back then. But I’ve seen very little of it in the last 12 to 18 months in our worlds, so I decided I’m going to come back and do a video sales letter, you’ll see the video spoiler box, you’ll see all the elements that were proven winners from back then I have built into this page, which is excited. I’m excited for it, you should be excited as well. That is kind of what’s happening. So that’s two things we’re launching. A video sales letter version, a selling system to sell a continuity program. So I’m calling my shot, I will see that knocked off more times in the next 6 to 8 months than anything prior to that. It’s going to be the rebirth of continuity programs and the rebirth of video sales letters. So, I’m excited. Because I feel like my real goal in the Dotcom Secrets side of the business is to push the envelope and do cool things and everyone else can funnel hack me and model it for their business. That’s kind of how I view my role right now. And hopefully I’ll make a bunch of money in the interim while I’m kind of going through that process. I really want to be a good example of ways to sell things and cool things to sell. That people can then model for their individual businesses. That’s really how I see my role right now. I think that there will be a time where Russell Brunson and Dotcom secrets brand will fade into the night and disappears. But, until that happens my goal is to be a shining beacon and you guys can all copy me. Just kidding, but that’s kind of how I look at it, is I want to be a perfect model of cool stuff you can take and emulate. It’s been fun in my coaching program, people like, “Russell I want to sell Mash print, how should I do it?” Boom! Go to Russellbrunson.com, funnel hack that funnel, that’s how you should do it. That’s what I want me to be, is creating models that people can use as selling systems to reach each of their different things they’re selling. So there you go. Hopefully that gets you guys excited a little bit. But that’s what’s happening. So I’m excited to roll south for nothing else, except it looks dang cool and I’m excited. Oh, there’s another thing that I did. So typically when we do a video sales letters, and if you’ve read the dotcom secrets book you know this too, we use the star story solutions script to write a video sales letter typically. The problem is star story solution script works but it’s kind of hard. It’s a lot of work, to be completely honest. I think of all the selling things to do it’s probably the hardest one which is why I think a lot of people have gravitated away from that, because it’s a lot of work. Which is why typically for good video sales letter, you pay a copywriter 15 or 20 grand to write a really good star story solution script. That’s just, in my experience, how it kind of goes. I didn’t want create a star story solution script and I was going to do a webinar, so I was like, “What if I just do a webinar for a video sales letter, and I just make it a really cool video. High production value, but I’m just doing my webinar pitch. So I’m doing the perfect webinar pitch for my video sales letter. So when you see it you’ll see that’s what it is.
