Dave Harrison joins us on the show today to talk about his all-star band The False Positives and their new recordings. We also take a trip down memory lane to revisit his work with the late '80s/early '90s band The Voodoo Dolls, along with much more! The Voodoo Dolls were a garage rock band from Boston, known for their raw, energetic sound that blends elements of punk, rock 'n' roll, and psychedelia. Emerging from the vibrant Boston music scene, the band typically drew inspiration from classic garage rock influences like The Stooges, The Sonics, and The Cramps, while adding their own unique twist. The band's style featured gritty guitar riffs, pounding rhythms, and rebellious, sometimes cryptic lyrics that reflect the energy and chaos of their live shows. The Voodoo Dolls appealed to fans of underground rock and the DIY ethos, creating music that's raw and unapologetic.MusicThe False Positives "Long Distance Romance"Additional MusicThe Charms "So Pretty"The Dogmatics "I Love Rock N Roll"Produced and Hosted by Steev Riccardo

In this powerful exploration of the Beatitudes, we dive deep into Matthew 5:6 - 'Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.' This verse reminds us that our spiritual journey isn't about perfection, but about desire. It's not about achieving righteousness on our own, but longing for it and allowing God to satisfy that hunger. We're encouraged to reflect on our own spiritual appetites and consider how we can cultivate a deeper hunger for God's righteousness in our lives. The message beautifully illustrates how Jesus flipped the script on religious achievement, showing that it's not about climbing a mountain to reach God, but about God coming down to us in the form of Jesus Christ. This perspective shift can revolutionize how we approach our faith, moving from striving to receiving, from earning to accepting God's freely given grace.

For many organizations and educational systems, there's a need for testers and testing talent but there isn't a clear path for someone to go learn about testing and become a software tester, at least not in a traditional education sense. There may be a school or two that has some testing curriculum specifically but for many educations systems, it's taught superficially if at all. How does a potential tester learn what they need to and how can they be encouraged to pursue software testing in the first place? Dave Harrison and Simon Prior join Matthew Heusser to talk about the need for software testing to be considered a viable path for colleges and universities, the type of education that would be helpful for institutions to teach, what types of people and educational background would work well as testers, and how to help them get the best leg up if/when they decide to make that decision.

This is your Blue Ridge bluesman, once again coming at you from the little rockin' studio in the Star City of Virginia … Wow, what a great show!   No, this isn't Show 100 as you would expect, but it is time for the Blue Ridge Blues Society's 5th Annual Blue Ridge Blues & BBQ Festival and that means a preview show! What a great lineup that we have this year! I know this show is heard around the world, but if you're anywhere near the State of Virginia in the USA, you need to come to Roanoke! You'll know after this show that Roanoke will be the place to be!   We started off the show with the great bluesman that is headlining the festival, the great playing his tune “Headin' Northwest” from his CD called “Lucky Charm”.   The Festival starts off with a blues competition that has 10 bands competing to represent the in the 2011 in Memphis, TN! The competition starts at Noon and runs until the winner is announced! What's exciting with our competition is that the winner gets included in the 2010 !   So who else are we gonna hear from on today's Blue Ridge Blues and BBQ Festival Preview Show?   How about playing “Shake Your Boogie”, then followed up with “Going Down”, and “Tramp”! This group represented Knoxville in the IBC's lately and I'm now a big follower! What talent!   After the LaBron Lazenby and the L.A. 3, we're treated with with his tune, “Blues and Rock N Roll”; "You're Gonna Miss Me”, and then “Make It Go”...  these are all off of the Ten Til Midnight CD from Blue Heat Records.    After Sean, it's with their “Memphis Bound”. Then that great tune is followed up by “Sun Boogie” and “Give Me My Money” from their latest Live At Sun CD from BluzPik Rekerdz.   Following The Nouveaux Honkies, is the one and only ! He started off our show and now will entertain us with “Willie Mae”, “Boogie Overture”, amd wrapping up the show with “Time To Move On”… I love the lyrics “Your wine tastes like vinegar, your coffee like mud, You walk like Daffy Duck, and You Talk like Elmer Fudd!” Now that's a blues put down! LOL! These are all available on the CD Lucky Charm.   Be sure to swing by the BluzNdaBlood Booth at the festival! I've got tons of great CDs to give away! This is your BluzNdaBlood  DJ  coming at you from the Star City of Virginia … Well, this show is the second part to a very special episode!   Well, when I did Show #93 Women in Blues, I quickly ran out of space for the show and I hate having to eliminate playing songs…  But there were enough of them that it was obvious to me that a Part 2 Show was inevitable! Unfortunately, I still have tunes from Roxy Perry and Pat Pepin that still are to be played! There's just isn't enough time to play ‘em all! But, they'll be on the next show or two!   We started off the show with the beautiful blues piano player playing her own tune, “Honey's Blues” off of the CD, For the Chosen Who.   So what other beautiful blues women are we going to hear from on today's show other than Honey Piazza? Well, how about Inetta Visor from the with their tune, “Let's Live It Up”! We'll also hear with her song, “Blues Ain't Far Behind”, then we'll be treated to cranking out “Give Me Back My Wig.” Yea, I'm not sure what the lyrics mean either! But it's good stuff! follows up highlighting their 10 or 11 year old female drummer Taya Perry playing, “Roots.” then treats us with her “Music Makin' Mama” tune off her CD.  We then follow up with belting out “Goin' Home” followed by playing “Party Town”. Now that the show is really cranked up, it's then time for to get us licking our lips when she's singing about her “Fried Chicken”! then shakes the joint with some help from Watermelon Slim playing “The Barrelhouse Funeral”… chimes in with her boogie drenched “Two Fisted Mama” song on her CD, Deluxe Edition! Then joinging the fun and wrapping up the great show is , “The Devil Is An Angel”, followed by , “All You Can Eat (And You Can Eat It All Night Long)”, and finished up by the great with her “Big Ovaries, Baby”! What a show!   Thanks to all the beautiful women who made this show possible with their music!
