Yet again, Jeffrey Epstein is in the news, as President Trump changed his mind and called for the release of all the files. Will Congress vote to finally release everything so we can put this story behind us? Glenn predicts that no one of high seniority in the government will be exposed if the Epstein files are released. Glenn speaks on rapper Nicki Minaj traveling to the United Nations to speak out against the slaughtering of Christians in Nigeria. CNN senior political contributor Scott Jennings joins to discuss his latest book, "A Revolution of Common Sense," which breaks down President Trump's return to Washington. The time of the progressive era is over, Glenn warns, and the time of the socialist era is arriving. Democrats used to love tariffs until Trump began implementing them. What happened? Glenn discusses his interview with the Cracker Barrel CEO over the botched rebrand attempt that nearly took the company down. It was Christmas Day 2017 when 35-year-old David Horn Jr. vanished from Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania. At the time, Dave was living alone just around the corner in Trainer. That evening, the Philadelphia Eagles were set to play the Las Vegas Raiders. Dave had been born and raised in the Philadelphia area and was a devoted Eagles fan. Spending a holiday night at a neighborhood pub to watch the game would not have been unusual for him. What was unusual was that as other fans were filing in to settle down for the Christmas night game, Dave walked out of the bar. No one ever saw or heard from him again.Dave had plans to leave for a trip to Las Vegas right after the holiday, so when he went quiet, friends and family assumed he was already there. But in early January, Dave's father went to check on him and found an unsettling scene. Dave's truck was still parked outside. Inside, the lights and TV were on, and his belongings appeared untouched. Even the plane tickets for his upcoming trip were sitting out in plain view. Then his father noticed the basement door had a broken window with what looked like blood on it.By then, precious days had already passed. As his family retraced his steps, they confirmed that the last known sighting of Dave was at the pub in Marcus Hook. They learned he had ordered an Uber that evening, but the ride was canceled. After that moment, his trail went cold. Nearly eight years later, Dave's loved ones are still searching for answers about what happened that Christmas night and why he never made it home.If you have any information about the disappearance of David Horn Jr., please contact the Trainer Borough Police Department at (610) 494-7399.If you have a missing loved one that you would like to have featured on the show, please fill out our case submission form.Follow The Vanished on social media at:FacebookInstagramPatreonSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This week of Deck the Hallmark is presented by "A Tyler Shaw Christmas". Listen to this amazing Christmas album HERE. --Ryan joins us to review our first of two UpTV Christmas movies today — Saving the Christmas Ranch.ABOUT SAVING THE CHRISTMAS RANCHCarrie is racing against the clock: she has just two days to come up with nine months of mortgage payments or lose her family's beloved Christmas lodge. When John — a charming developer with unclear motives — shows up offering help, Carrie must decide whether he's a lifeline… or a threat. Holiday stakes, romantic tension, and small-town heart abound.AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR SAVING THE CHRISTMAS RANCHNovember 16 2025 | UPtv.CAST & CREW OF SAVING THE CHRISTMAS RANCHBrianna Cohen as Carrie WilliamsJonathan Stoddard as John DunnBRAN'S SAVING THE CHRISTMAS RANCH SYNOPSISCarrie is busy running the ranch. She has a lot on her plate preparing for the Christmas festival and keeps adding things to her to-do list. She gets a call from a mob-boss-level intense banker who insists she come see him today. We find out why when we see him staring at the ranch's current balance… it's bad. It's NEGATIVE $1,038.A guy named John calls—again—to try to convince her to sell the ranch. She's not interested. So he decides he's just going to come stay at the ranch anyway. She goes to meet with the banker. It's not good. There's been some shady money stuff involving someone named Sandra Flowers, and Carrie has until 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve to come up with $15,000. That's only 48 hours. Not great! She calls an all-hands meeting and breaks the bad news: no bonuses… and probably much worse. They all get to work trying to figure out a way to save the Christmas ranch.John keeps trying to talk to her about his offer, but she's not budging. He's like, “I can tell how much you love this place. What if I fund building a bigger lodge and you still run it?” He believes there's huge potential for growth. Carrie is like, “I don't totally disagree… but still no deal.”John does a little snooping and discovers the truth—they're really struggling and owe 15k. We also find out that it was the banker who told John about the ranch in the first place, promising him a great deal if Carrie can't make the money. But John genuinely wants things to work out for Carrie because he wants her to stay and run the inn.Carrie ends up raising the money. It's looking great. She brings it to the banker and he's like, “Well, it's a start… You ran out so fast that you missed the part where I said you actually owe $50k.” So that's… devastating.Carrie decides she just wants to enjoy the festival and have some fun. She and John compete in the Reindeer Games together and WIN big time.Everything's looking up—until she catches John talking to the banker and gets furious. “YOU KNEW!”John's excited to hear she's doing an auction—maybe this will save the ranch! But… it's not actually a fundraiser for the ranch. It's for charity. But guess who shows up… SANDRA FLOWERS. She explains she took the money to help her brother get surgery. In fact, the banker told her he'd pay for the surgery if she stopped paying the mortgage and emptied the bank account. The banker pops in with a “YOU LIE!”The final auction item is a cake—and that money actually goes toward the ranch. It's looking like they'll only get about $300… until John pipes up and bids $50,000.He says he wants to stay at the ranch and call it home—with her. And they kissssss. This week of Deck the Hallmark is presented by "A Tyler Shaw Christmas". Listen to this amazing Christmas album HERE. --Ryan is back for round two of today's UpTV double feature, and this time the guys are diving into A Soldier for Christmas, a movie UPtv added to the schedule late because they hate us. ABOUT A SOLDIER FOR CHRISTMASHannah, a military widow, and her young daughter rediscover the joy of Christmas in a world forever changed, as they fight for healing and love.AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR A SOLDIER FOR CHRISTMASNovember 8 2025 | UPtvCAST & CREW OF A SOLDIER FOR CHRISTMASRenay Rayes as Hannah JacobsJoe Barra as Ryan BarnesCameron Arnett as Pastor Christopher HughesBRAN'S A SOLDIER FOR CHRISTMAS SYNOPSISThe movie kicks off with an absolute bop of a song. It's snowy. It's fun. It's Christmas.Suddenly—GUNSHOT!—and we're transported into a war zone. It's not good. Next thing you know, a troop walks into a church to tell a woman that her husband has passed. Two years later, that same woman is trying to get back out there and date. Her name is Hannah. She has a daughter, Carmen, which makes dating tricky. After one particularly awkward date, she FaceTimes her brother, who is in the military. She talks about how swamped she is with her military service project and all the work at the church. He could not be less helpful.Meanwhile, he's getting banged up in active combat. A fellow troop named Ryan checks on him to make sure he's okay. On his next call with Hannah, he says, “I met this amazing all-American guy that I think you'd really like.” Hannah isn't interested at first—but then she realizes her daughter's biggest Christmas wish is for a new dad.Her brother secretly sets up a call with Ryan for her military project, hoping they'll hit it off. Their conversation is awkward—possibly one of the most awkward ever—but somehow it goes well. They start talking more, exchanging gifts, and eventually Ryan tells her he's coming home and asks her out on a proper date. The date starts awkwardly—Hannah is so used to talking to him on a screen—but it warms up. Ryan reveals he knew her late husband, and even tells some drunk dudes to back off. They keep hanging out while he's in town.Eventually, Ryan has to return to war, but they promise to keep communicating. Hannah struggles—she wants a man who is truly present. She asks if he would consider leaving the military after his tour. He does not take it well. This is his calling. They decide to take a step back.A magical Santa shows up to remind Hannah about a soldier's obligation to God and country.Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Ryan talks to a superior who basically tells him: you've got to fight for this girl. His brother back home jokes that he has no idea what he just talked to—there was no visitor today—but whatever. They try to talk things out on a call, but it's cut short because their base is under attack. Hannah later gets a call: her brother is safe and on the way—but they don't know where Ryan or his troop currently is.On Christmas Day, everyone goes to church. The pastor brings out Ryan as a surprise. They hug, he proposes, she says yes, and they kissssss! Watch the show on Youtube - www.deckthehallmark.com/youtubeInterested in advertising on the show? This weekend, Tyler continued the Bible Study series by teaching through the book of Micah, a prophet who confronts Israel's long history of idolatry and injustice while also pointing forward to the hope of Christmas. One of the central passages he addressed was Micah 6:8, a verse many people view as inspirational—yet in its original context, it is actually a rebuke. Micah 6:8 reveals God's standard for His people: Act Justly — live with integrity, righteousness, and fairness toward others. Love Mercy — show compassion and steadfast love, especially toward the vulnerable. Walk Humbly with God — reject pride, and live in dependence on God rather than self. However, Tyler emphasized that Micah 6:8 ultimately exposes our inability to meet this standard on our own. Like Israel, we repeatedly fall short—no matter how disciplined, sincere, or well-intentioned we may be. This is why Micah points us beyond human effort to the coming King, the one born in Bethlehem, whose strength is divine and whose leadership is perfect. No matter how hard we try, our efforts alone can't reach God's summit. We need a Savior who not only shows the way but becomes the way—lifting us, forgiving us, and leading us into the life Micah describes.

Jesus IS the reason for the season. We're on the precipice of tHe HoLiDaYs and all the madness therein. It's so easy to get sucked into the capitalist machine of Christmas and miss ... Christ. But so much of the energy around "Jesus is the Reason" also feels treacherously coded. How do we navigate this ourselves? Amy and Kat are both feeling merry this week!! Kat because she just had the staycation of her dreams and she’s already decorated for Christmas (she’s in a season of creating as much joy as possible)! And Amy’s feeling merry because, well, it’s the most wonderful time of the year! However, she had some anxiety pop up around something she thought she’d worked through, so she shares about those feelings as well. Kat reminds her that healing isn’t about being “done” with a feeling…it’s about knowing how to move through it now. When familiar feelings show up again, it doesn’t mean you’re back at the beginning. It’s just a new moment to practice showing up differently…with more awareness, more tools, and more kindness for yourself. Also in this episode: a cozy stovetop simmer recipe (see below!), the move to make out of a second story should there be a fire (random, but helpful), and a thoughtful email from new listener Dave, who shares how burnout shifted his relationship with work and a reminder to actually communicate needs in a relationship…men aren’t mind readers. Smells Like Christmas: A Cozy Simmer Pot Recipe 1 large orange, sliced 3–4 cinnamon sticks 1 cup fresh cranberries 1 tablespoon whole cloves 2–3 sprigs of fresh rosemary (or a handful of pine needles if you’re feeling extra festive) Water to fill the pot How To: Combine everything in a medium pot. Fill with water until ingredients are just covered (leave about an inch from the top). Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Reduce to low and let it quietly bubble away (uncovered) as long as you’d like. Keep an eye on it and add more water as needed so it doesn’t dry out. Pro tip…you can reuse the same pot a few times! Just pop it in the fridge overnight and add fresh water before reheating. This little ritual makes your whole house smell like orange, cinnamon, and nostalgia. It’s one of those small, sensory things that makes the holidays feel like the holidays. Get some Feeling Things merch by clicking HERE! We meet Kate about 20 years ago, fresh out of college and starting a job at an architecture firm. She goes to a party and dances with a guy named Everett. When he decides to settle down and start his own practice, she follows him to his small town of Winter Light.Flash forward 20 years: they've decided they're getting a divorce… sorry, cautiously uncoupling. Obviously, in Winter Light, you need the mayor's approval for that. They tell him they're still going to do Christmas together as a family, and the mayor (along with all their friends) thinks they're completely insane—because apparently you can't divorce nicely. It's going to be a full house for Christmas: Kate and Everett's son Gabriel and daughter Sienna, Sienna's boyfriend Nigel (who is a Harry Potter tour guide), Kate's sister, and… apparently, Everett's new girlfriend. Kate is the last to find out and, shockingly, she's not thrilled. She runs into Everett and his girlfriend, Tess, while out in town, and it is painfully awkward. The next day, Everett tells Kate he wants everyone—including Tess—to have dinner together tonight. Kate and the kids head to Everett's house and are shocked to see how chaotic things are. The vibes are weird, but maybe they'll get better… right? The next day it's time for Christmas traditions! Bright and early, Kate takes the kids to get a tree. At the lot, she meets a hunky young Santa named Chet, who gives her his number. She shrugs it off—until feeling discouraged by all the Tess-ness and her kids rolling their eyes at her eco-friendly traditions—so she decides… yolo.Naturally, their first date is with the entire family: sledding. It does not go well, with Kate crashing. Everett rushes to check on her, and—uh oh—the old sparks start flying.Kate and Tess chat. Tess basically asks, “How did you let him get away?”Everett and Chet chat. Same conversation, obviously.Turns out, Everett worked too much, and she was just too darn environmentally friendly.Everett apologizes to Kate for not being present in their marriage, and it means a lot… until he adds that if he ever marries Tess (or anyone else), he'll be better. That sends Kate spiraling, and she destroys the gingerbread village she made. She blurts out that she “can't wait to get out of this place.” When pressed, she admits that once Gabe finishes high school, she's moving back to Boston to become an architect again. They all have Christmas dinner together and exchange gifts. Kate gets Everett the indoor grill he's always wanted instead of her usual handmade gift. Everett gets Kate her favorite perfume—made from scratch. It's very sweet. And then Tess opens her gift from Everett: AirPods. She's like, “Excuse me… you MADE your ex-wife perfume from scratch?” Things go downhill fast when the Christmas tree catches fire. Chet—naturally—strips down to help put out the fire.Though Kate finds Chet extremely amusing, she ends up breaking things off with him.Later that night, Everett surprises Kate and the kids by showing up to look through their Christmas Eve picture book like they always do—which leads to an almost-kiss.Christmas morning: Tess bows out, knowing Everett is still in love with Kate. Chet comes to pick her up, obviously. With the power out at Everett's house, everyone heads to Kate's place—because of course hers is fully battery-powered. When they arrive, the entire neighborhood is already there, praising Kate for everything she's done. Through her family and friends, Kate realizes that even though she let go of her original dream, she still made a difference. The movie ends with Everett telling Kate he doesn't want a divorce. He wants to move with her to Boston. Kate tells him she's not going to Boston. Then they kiss—big ones.A year later, Kate has opened her own sustainability company. She's the one working all the time… but in a good way. And the movie ends with “You Can Call Me Al.” Watch the show on Youtube - www.deckthehallmark.com/youtubeInterested in advertising on the show? Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol is the inspiration behind Gurinder Chadha's new film Christmas Karma. Scrooge becomes Mr Sood, a miserly businessman in contemporary London, with a loathing of the weak and the homeless. In a series of fantastical scenes he is confronted by the ghosts of past, present and future Christmas. With more than a hint of Bollywood, the film is shot as a vibrant musical. In the Studio follows Gurinder in the making of the film - from shooting on set, through the music making and the edit, to the final presentation of the movie. Along the way, Gurinder explains her ways of working, her serious interest in some of the darker themes of the film, and why it was her children that made her persist in getting the film done.

    What Jesus Modeled about Gratitude

Gratitude isn’t just a feel-good practice—it’s a Christ-shaped way of living. Colossians 2:6–7 reminds us that thankful hearts grow strong roots, and Jesus’ life shows us exactly what that looks like. From praising the Father in unexpected moments to giving thanks over a meal that seemed far too small, Jesus modeled a rhythm of gratitude that was thoughtful, generous, and deeply intentional. His example invites us to slow down and notice the countless opportunities we have each day to respond with thanksgiving. Highlights Jesus expressed gratitude with insight—recognizing God’s work even when others overlooked it (Matthew 11:25). He gave thanks generously, blessing God for resources that seemed insignificant and sharing them freely (John 6:11). His gratitude fueled goodness toward others, shaping a life of compassion and service (Luke 6:31; Acts 10:38). Jesus demonstrated thankfulness in everything, from daily provision to His final moments before the cross (Ephesians 5:20; Matthew 26:27). His ultimate act of gratitude came through sacrifice—offering His body and blood for our salvation (Luke 22:19). A thankful life reflects the heart of Christ and keeps us rooted in God’s faithfulness. Gift Inspiration: Crosswalk's Holiday Gift Guide Looking for a meaningful way to celebrate the season? Full Transcript Below: What Jesus Modeled about Gratitude By Lynette Kittle Bible Reading: “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” - Colossians 2:6-7 How many times do we miss opportunities to express gratitude to God? Most likely, for some of us, there are too many for us to count. So, when it comes to learning how to show gratitude, especially to God, where do we look for a mentor? Of course, Jesus tops the list in demonstrating it to us, being perfect in all His ways and actions. After all, He is the Savior of the world, along with being fully man and fully God, understanding both how we as humans think, feel, and respond in earthly situations and also how God views and receives gratitude. How Jesus Modeled Gratitude In looking at Jesus’ life on earth, we discover ways He modeled gratitude, along with how we can follow His example. The following are five ways we can model gratitude to God and those around us, as Christ did on earth. Jesus modeled insightful gratitude. Often, individuals, some Christians included, may miss opportunities to express gratitude, missing the insightfulness Jesus demonstrated in all He did on earth. Matthew 11:25 reveals how Jesus recognized an opportunity to show gratitude to God for revealing to children what is hidden from the intellectual and educated individuals on earth. “At that time Jesus said, ‘I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.’” It was an observance and revelation of sorts, yet Jesus took the time, place, and opportunity to publicly express gratitude to God. Jesus modeled generous gratitude. When it came to expressing gratitude to God, Jesus didn’t skip over it, even when it involved a hungry crowd. The Apostle John describes in John 6:11 where, “Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.” Some may feel like five barley loaves and two fish were hardly worth showing gratitude to God, such a seemingly small amount, more like a snack. As well, to share what seemed like an insignificant amount of food so generously, letting people have as much as they wanted. If most of us were sharing it, we probably would have tried to limit it to each person, knowing we started with a small amount. Jesus modeled do-gooder gratitude. Gratitude to God flows through us, encouraging us to express the gratitude we have to God and to others. Jesus says in Luke 6:31, “Do to others as you would have them do to you.” Acts 10:38 describes how He accomplished it, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how He went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with Him.” Jesus modeled thankfulness in everything. Some may laugh at those of us who are continually thanking God for what seem like little things in life, but doing so helps our hearts to remain thankful throughout our days. As Ephesians 5:20 urges, “Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” From sharing a small lunch to sharing the truth about God’s love, Jesus expressed gratitude for all that He had, including laying down His life for us, expressing a heart of gratitude to God His Father. Even when His life on earth was about to end, He modeled it in Matthew 26:27, “Then He took a cup, and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink from it, all of you.’” Jesus modeled gratitude through sacrifice. He didn’t hold anything back from us, including the life we receive from His body being broken and blood poured out for our Salvation, as demonstrated in Luke 22:19: “And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” Intersecting Faith & Life: As words to the old hymn go, with hearts full of gratitude, we can sing and thank God for Jesus’ sacrifice. “Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul. Thank you, Lord, for making me whole. Thank you, Lord, for giving to me, Thy great Salvation so rich and free.” Further Reading: 4 Ways Gratitude Can Change Your MindsetMaking Do-Gooding A Way of Life Discover more Christian podcasts at lifeaudio.com and inquire about advertising opportunities at lifeaudio.com/contact-us.
