Ryan is a pop-rock artist whose music blends emotional honesty with classic rock inspiration. Raised in a musical household, he started performing as the drummer in a band with his sibling, touring the UK as a teen with the Euphoria. Influenced by legends such as Queen, the Beatles and Led Zeppelin, he later fused that vintage energy with the edge of Muse, Green Day, Panic! At the Disco and My Chemical Romance. After struggling during the pandemic and entering rehab in 2021, songwriting became his lifeline. Now sober and thriving, Ryan is one semester away from graduating USC's Thornton School of Music and has grown a following of over 500,000 on TikTok with original songs and viral covers. With performances at venues like the Viper Room, Whisky a Go Go and the Moroccan, he continues to share music borne from personal struggle. For Ryan, "The Voice" is the next step to push himself and bring his story to a larger stage.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

This week on Unglossy, Tom, Bun B, and Jeff pull up chairs with DC's own Noochie—the mind, mic, and movement behind Live From the Front Porch. What starts as a freestyle on his stoop evolves into one of the most important new stages in contemporary culture, drawing everyone from Big G and Raheem DeVaughn to Robin Thicke, George Clinton, and Snoop in a borrowed wheelchair.Noochie walks us through his origin story—growing up in the shadows of Go-Go royalty, navigating label highs and industry letdowns, learning audio engineering in a legendary studio, and building a creative work ethic forged in DC, Atlanta, and Hollywood. Then he breaks down how the porch became a cultural touchstone: a homegrown Tiny Desk with more bass, more soul, and far more neighborhood dogs walking by.We get into the Houston–DC connection, the power of place in hip-hop, the responsibility of curation, why artists feel like family by the time they leave his block, and how the front porch just touched the Kennedy Center and might soon hit the road.Burgers get discussed. Crabs get promised. A Bun B porch appearance gets… dangerously close to confirmed.Pull up—you're home."Unglossy with Bun B" is produced and distributed by Merrick Studio and hosted by Bun B, Tom Frank and Jeffrey Sledge. "The best band that never made it. Ska, rock, whatever, THEY WERE AMAZING!!!" ~ Erick F. Morgan (The Skunks/Pietasters)About a month ago I-Spy dropped a reimagined, reworked, remastered album of some of their material from decades ago on their terms. Trevor and David are back with another wild ride of an episode—starting with "Wait-Times” for your desk (yes, really), and ending with the legend of Jerry the Chimp from a pre-Disneyland “The Jungle” in Anaheim. Along the way, they unpack some wild plans for WestCOT Center, and the Queen Mary's slow-motion sink into chaos. There's Tiki-a-Go-Go hype, Haunted Mansion trivia that'll melt your Doom Buggy-loving mind, Mermaid brainwashing, and Cajun Turkeys. Also: Trevor's job news, mystery box giveaways, ancient strip-club history lessons, and why Disney+ documentaries feel like hostage videos.

In this episode of My Rock Moment, I sit down with veteran music journalist Steven Rosen — author of Tonechaser: Understanding Edward: My 26-Year Journey with Edward Van Halen — to uncover the untold story of the man behind the legend: Eddie Van Halen. For more than two decades, Rosen wasn't just a journalist covering Van Halen, he was a close friend, confidant, and witness to the creative fire that reshaped rock guitar. We revisit that very first night at The Whisky a Go Go, where their friendship began, and talk about the moment Rosen was invited to hear an early cut of Van Halen's second album — long before the world had any idea what was coming. Steven shares an intimate look at Eddie's humility, his complex relationship with David Lee Roth, and the moments that defined both the man and the music. Whether you're a lifelong fan, a guitarist chasing tone, or someone simply curious about the soul behind the sound, this episode peels back the myth to reveal the man.
