"Limone e Melone is based on a recording from the Piazza della Cisterna in Sam Gimignano, an idyllic Tuscan hill town with medieval towers, cathedral, and a museum of torture! It was recorded in August 2021. During a Summer afternoon, the Piazza della Cisterna has one particularly conspicuous human feature: a deep queue of locals and tourists eagerly awaiting the delights of the twice world champion Gelateria Dondoli. Gelato is integral to my experiences of Italy in summer. It would be hard to visit the Piazza della Cisterna without being drawn into the gravity of this queue. You can hear the sugar and delight in “pronto” from the girl running in flip flops, in the laughter, and the snippets of a slightly unhinged Welsh accent surprisingly emerging from the cacophony. "There's something uniquely pleasant about the chaos of Italian noise. This recording captures that abundance of life and joy. Limone e Melone is built from the voices of the Italians and the Welsh visitor, along with less identifiable sources. The track is built entirely from the field recording - used to create all the percussion, instruments, and the less-altered vocals. I'd like to think this is both the sounds of the site and the sounds of the taste of the site, given how integral the Gelateria is to the plaza, to Italian Summer culture, and to my own very fond recollection of the place. "Limone e Melone was created entirely in AUM on the iPad, using StepPolyArp sequencers, Koala samplers, Patterning 3 for percussion, Spacecraft and Borderlands for granular synthesis, and many AU effects (including most of the Toneboosters and FAC suites). It was arranged with Loopy Pro, MIDIMixer for AUM and Patterning 3."

Smart Agency Masterclass with Jason Swenk: Podcast for Digital Marketing Agencies
Would you like access to our advanced agency training for FREE? https://www.agencymastery360.com/training What if the secret to finding exceptional agency talent lies in conducting fewer interviews? Finding exceptional talent is perhaps the most formidable challenge in running an agency. When hundreds of applications flood in, the absence of an efficient screening process can transform talent acquisition into an exhausting ordeal of endless resume reviews and interviews. The same is true for prospective clients. Do you have a process for screening them to see if they're the right fit? Or do you find out too late that you're working with the wrong ones? Today's guests went have found success in both hiring and client retention by developing a filtering process that not only saves time but consistently identifies great matches. Listen in as they explore the highs and lows of running an agency, the impact on personal relationships, and their commitment to a "business for good" initiative. Alex Melone and Andrei Marin are the co-founders of CodeCrew, an email marketing agency that works for the betterment of the world by driving real, sustainable, and exciting growth. They share their journey of starting an agency and reflect on the challenges of entrepreneurship, particularly the cutthroat nature of business that contrasts with their initial idealistic approach. In this episode, we'll discuss: Learning that a “bad fit” client is the result of a bad process. A strategic filter to break free from interview fatigue. Mastering team retention. Subscribe Apple | Spotify | iHeart Radio Sponsors and Resources E2M Solutions: Today's episode of the Smart Agency Masterclass is sponsored by E2M Solutions, a web design, and development agency that has provided white-label services for the past 10 years to agencies all over the world. Why a Bad Fit Client is the Result of a Bad Process Alex and Andrei's journey into agency ownership was driven by a desire to address the inefficiencies they had observed in their previous agency roles. However, as they navigated the complexities of running their own agency, they encountered challenges they had not anticipated. One of the most striking revelations was the cutthroat nature of the industry. Their initial idealism was met with client relationships that deteriorated due to minor financial disputes, rather than the collaborative and positive environment they had hoped to foster. The duo realized that a "bad fit" in an agency-client relationship stemmed not from the client themselves but from the processes and criteria used to select them. As a result, Alex and Andre now put greater effort into thoroughly vetting prospects. They realized their initial conversations with potential clients — often limited to just a few hours — were insufficient to gauge the long-term compatibility of the partnership. When it comes to talent scouting, they emphasize the importance of referrals from existing team members, as these connections often yield leads that align more closely with the agency's culture and ethos, increasing the likelihood of forming partnerships that are not only profitable but also enjoyable and fulfilling. Weeding Out the Wrong Candidates in the Hiring Process Finding and retaining talent has proven to be the most challenging aspect of scaling an agency, a reality that surprised Alex and Andrei. With their agency inundated with applications, the traditional hiring process became overwhelming and inefficient, losing time with candidates who lacked the qualifications or initiative needed for the role. To streamline their candidate selection, they've recently integrated video screening into their hiring process, which has turned out to be a game-changing innovation that helps enhance overall efficiency. Instead of sitting in a 40-minute interview with candidates they can see from the first few minutes are just not a good fit, they now review 5-minute video submissions, allowing them to quickly identify promising applicants before proceeding to formal interviews. Even though they do have other steps to this process, the video portion has helped them weed out people who just weren't a good fit. Only candidates who nail this part move forward to the formal interview and comprehensive testing that evaluates both technical skills and problem-solving abilities. Mastering Team Retention by Creating a People-First Culture At the heart of Alex and Andrei's agency success lies their commitment to working with people who share their values and goals. This philosophy has resulted in remarkable team retention, with many original team members still contributing to the agency years after its founding. The secret to their retention success lies in creating a vibrant workplace culture at CodeCrew that goes beyond traditional work relationships. Through contests, light-hearted banter, and team activities, they've fostered an environment where employees don't just work together—they enjoy the journey together. The emphasis on camaraderie and belonging has strengthened team members' commitment to the organization's goals. Their leadership style is marked by responsiveness to employee needs, which is how they came to implement “summer Fridays” an experiment that later evolved to “Fun Fridays” after a successful four-month trial where every employee gets two Fridays off per month from February through September. This flexible approach to work-life balance has yielded significant positive results, not only providing employees with much-needed time to recharge but also fostering a culture of trust and respect, which is exactly the kind of culture that Alex and Andrei were hoping to build. Oral Arguments for the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit
Gopher Media LLC v. Melone
Women's professional sports are "having a moment", but this did not happen in a vacuum nor did it happen overnight. In a highly anticipated episode (for us), we finally got a chance to sit down with Claire Knapp (CEO of Havas Lynx) and Denise Melone (Managing Director of Havas Life San Francisco) to discuss the implications of the growth of women's sports, both as a business and as an opportunity. Both of these female leaders are accomplished athletes, and we discuss the role of things like teamwork, coaching, and mental fortitude, learned on the judo mats and tennis courts, in their successes as corporate leaders at Havas. The growing interest in the competitive aspects of women's sports has coincided with the appearance of women in a variety of hitherto-denied spaces, such as the boardroom, the judging panel, and even just full-court basketball (looking at you, Sue Atkins--my mom). While this shift is notable, both Claire and Denise express the sentiment that disparities in treatment, compensation and conversation are still as important as ever to address and overcome. What's important is how we talk about women, not as bodies but as humans, and, in the case for this episode, as fierce, aggressive, badass athletes. If you have any questions, feedback, or just want to say hi, email us at medicalanthropology@havas.comCheck out Breaking the Code on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/breaking-the-code-havas-health-and-you-podcast

Welcome Back Cream-Team! Ein Anker muss her. Was sie damit meinen?

Nachts. In Pappbetten. Untereinander?

LADYLIKE - Die Podcast-Show: Der Talk über Sex, Liebe & Erotik
In this episode of the Marketing Technology Podcast, Alex Melone and Andrei Marin, two of the co-founders of CodeCrew, shared their insights on email list growth and how to keep your email list healthy. Welcome to the Marketing Technology Podcast, hosted by Elias Crum (digital strategist and owner of Marketing Guys). According to Melone and Marin, email marketing is still one of the most effective ways to reach your audience and grow your business. They explained that even though there are newer marketing channels available today, email is still king when it comes to driving sales and conversions. The key to success with email marketing, however, is building and maintaining a healthy email list. Melone and Marin shared some tips on how to do this effectively. One of the first things they stressed was the importance of collecting high-quality leads. This means targeting the right audience and they have found a way in which brands can share their target audiences and build lists together! Melone and Marin emphasized that quality always beats quantity when it comes to email list growth. They also highlighted the importance of staying engaged with your subscribers. This means sending regular, relevant content and avoiding spammy tactics like buying email lists or sending too many promotional emails. By keeping your subscribers engaged, you can improve your open rates, click-through rates, and overall email performance. Another important factor in maintaining a healthy email list is proper list hygiene. This means regularly removing inactive subscribers and cleaning up your list to avoid bounced emails and spam complaints. In terms of actually growing your email list, Melone and Marin suggested leveraging your existing channels to promote your newsletter or other email content. This might include social media, your website, or other marketing campaigns. They also suggested offering exclusive content or incentives to encourage sign-ups, such as discounts or free resources. When it comes to the future of email marketing, Melone and Marin were optimistic about its continued relevance in the years ahead. They explained that as long as you're providing value to your subscribers and keeping up with best practices, email marketing will remain a powerful tool for driving growth and revenue. Overall, Melone and Marin provided valuable insights for any marketer looking to improve their email list growth and email marketing strategy. By focusing on quality over quantity, staying engaged with your subscribers, and maintaining proper list hygiene, you can build a strong and effective email list that drives results for your business. In this episode of the Thoughtful Entrepreneur, your host Josh Elledge speaks with the Co-Founders & Chief Operations Officer of CodeCrew INC, Alex Melone & Andrei Marin. Alexander and Andrei highlighted two crucial areas: deliverability and segmentation. They stressed the importance of ensuring emails reach the intended recipients and tailoring messages to specific audience segments. To illustrate this, they gave an example of a brand selling kayaks and explained how segmenting the audience based on their purchase history can lead to more effective email campaigns. They also mentioned the transition from Google Analytics to GA4 but clarified that it hadn't caused significant issues for them. They explained that they rely on data from their email service provider and e-commerce platforms for reporting rather than heavily relying on Google Analytics. Alexander explained that triggered messaging is a way to send messages to people based on their actions on a website. It involves understanding their intentions and crafting personalized messages. Andrei added that implementing triggered messaging doesn't require expensive software and can be done with a free email service provider for smaller brands. However, more prominent brands with more complex data points may need a more robust and costly tool. Key Points from the Episode: Specialization in email marketing and 22 years of combined experience Importance of deliverability and segmentation in email marketing Example of segmenting audience based on purchase history Discussion on recent changes in Google and its impact on email tracking Types of companies Code Crew works with and their achieved outcomes Power of triggered messaging and personal experience shared by Speaker 1 Implementation of triggered messaging with free email service provider for smaller brands Need for more powerful and costly tools for larger brands with complex data points About Alex Melone: Alex Melone is a versatile professional with a wide-ranging skill set. //Literatur Colin Spencer.
