Les, Kurt and Jason are back to check in with each other because there's been a lot going on… and because Les and Kurt finally saw Demi Moore's face in her butt (because they saw The Substance). If the same thing happened to Kurt, he thinks a dermatologist may want Kurt to explain why it happened… but Jason thinks that would most certainly be the dermatologist's job. Then the guys dream cast that the perfect face talking from our butts on this should should be Blac Chyna, who thinks that Cardi B should be talking of HER butt when it comes to Offset. Then, the guys are ready to talk about the 2020 Netflix movie Holidate. Les picked the movie thinking it would be very much in the wheelhouse of this podcast, but it turns out that Holidate is a broad hard R romantic comedy in which we get to see Kristen Chenoweth play very much against type, a father daughter dance at a wedding done to a very inappropriate song choice, and some very unnecessary bowel movement sound effects. This movie did not (despite some confusion) feature Ryan Gosling OR Erma Bombeck.   Bluesky: lifetimeofhallmark Facebook : lifetimeofhallmark Instagram : lifetimeofhallmarkpodcast Threads: lifetimeofhallmarkpodcast TikTok: lifetimeofhallmarkpod

Schmigadoon is back on Apple TV! The second season takes us in a slightly different direction, and today Peter & Nathan explore the theology of the musicals being lovingly "spoofed" by "Schmicago" and wonder what it means that "every day can be a happy beginning." (By the way: if you missed our episode on Schmigadoon Season 1, you can listen here, or wherever you like to listen!)   We talk about: – The power of parables, and how stories can (and can't) transform us. – The theology of the Broadway musicals of the 60s & 70s, steeped in sex & nihilism, and how Schmicago navigates – and ultimately rejects – that theology. – We explore the show's ending, and what kind of theology is implicit in the final number.   You'll hear:  Cecily Strong, Keegan-Michael Key, Kristen Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Tituss Burgess, Dove Cameron, Aaron Tveit and the cast of Schmigadoon Season 2.   Continue the conversation with Peter (@pgeinvan) and Nathan (@nathan_lerud) on Twitter, and follow the Gospel of Musical Theatre on Instagram or Twitter @gospelofmt.

(with guest) Brooks Ann Camper and I are now best friends.  And I dare say, you just might have the same thing happen when you listen to this episode.  Brooks Ann embodies so much of why I teach women to sew clothing…letting go of sizing, living a world of your own making where who and what you are is just right and embracing the pleasure of making with your own hands. I got so much connection from this conversation, but what was truly lovely was how inspired I was to embrace the process even more. About midway through the show, Brooks Ann mentions that there are two types of makers…process makers, those who make for the joy in the act of making the thing and product makers, those who sew for the joy of the thing they've made.  I sort of identify as both but probably lean, quite far, towards being a product maker and I look at this other way of doing things and feel a craving to bring more of that into my life. And it's not just in my making practice.  In my life in general, I'm working towards trusting the path as it unfolds before me and loving the act of going somewhere, anywhere, rather than waiting for the destination to get here, already!  And being curious and nimble and SLOW enough to change course when joy is presented to me. I admire Brooks Ann ability to take opportunities as they appear, without worrying too much about where they will end up, and embracing a slow and curious path.   Join her email list – Custom Sewing Love LettersTake a listen my friend, you'll be glad you did!Brooks Ann Camper first learned to sew as an adult working in professional costume workshops. After an internship at Yale School of Drama, and an MFA in Costume Production from UNC, she moved to NYC where she worked as a Broadway milliner for productions such as Wicked and Mama Mia!, and sewing for celebrities from Boy George to Big Bird – including Bernadette Peters, Felicia Rashaad, Kristen Chenoweth, John Lithgow, Sean Combs, The Undertaker, the Rockettes…When she left New York and started her own business as a custom wedding dressmaker, she began blogging the process as each one-of-a-kind dress was designed and created. She realized that she was getting as much interest from “sewing people” as from “brides” and started teaching her unique methods of custom sewing. She absolutely loves sharing her passion with kindred spirits!Mentioned in the podcastBrooksAnn.comBrooks Ann's Prep School for Custom SewingBrooks Ann's Couture Bridal SiteBrooks Ann's Blog – How Fitting – And her ebook – Figure It OutAlso mentioned:Camp Workroom SocialHey!  Do you know of someone who would make a great guest on the show?  (maybe you?)Email me tina@kinshiphandwork.comtina@kinshiphandwork.com

Madeline Kendall is a musical theatre actress. Kendall grew up in the New Jersey (close to Philadelphia) and would always go see shows when they would come to the theatre closest to her. After seeing a production of Pippin and a Kristen Chenoweth concert, Kendall knew that it was possible to be cast in a national tour of a broadway musical. Luckily, Kendall has been able to accomplish this with the national tour of Anastasia. In the show, she was in the ensemble and understudied the role of Anya. She was lucky enough to get the chance to to play this role a few times over the course of her contract. Including getting to an entire week as the leading lady while the actress who was playing the role was doing a different contract temporarily. Over the course of this adventure Kendall was lucky enough to live out two fantasies and made some of her wildest dreams come true. Thank you to everyone who was able to take part in season 3 of the podcast! Howard Safir, former NYPD commissioner and Chairman of Safir Intelligence and Security, joins the Rundown to discuss the NYPD's response to the attack, bail reform and the justice system, and how he thinks the city should approach its homelessness problem.   Beloved television personality and four-time Emmy Award winner Kathie Lee Gifford — known for her work on ‘Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee', the ‘Today Show', and more — is now exploring new career aspirations with her Fox Nation special ‘The Jesus I Know.” In this series Gifford explores the way in which the Holy Spirit works in our lives with guests like Broadway star Kristen Chenoweth, Fox News meteorologist Janice Dean, and Justin Bieber's mother, Pattie Mallette. Gifford joins the Rundown to discuss the inspiration behind her new special, how her faith has played a role in her esteemed broadcast career, and what she hopes people will take away from ‘The Jesus I Know.”   Don't miss the good news with Tonya J. Powers.   Plus, commentary from Pastor Robert Jeffress of the Dallas First Baptist Church. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Kevin and I have known Molly and Vic long before they had children and before they were even married.  Thirteen years ago they experienced every parents worst nightmare. Their 2 year old daughter Lucy choked on an apple in the church parking lot- to hear more of their story  https://www.mollybicejackson.com/  I still remember where I was standing the moment we received the phone call that their daughter was being life flighted to Primary Childrens Hospital.  We loved the opportunity to talk with them about their experience and how they have pulled together when most marriages don't survive a loss as great as theirs.  They are both inspiring and I am grateful they came on our podcast.Vic is an actual laundry ninja and supreme homemade granola maker. He's addicted to reading, chocolate, peanut butter, and maple syrup. In that order. He attended law school at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. Served a mission in Salta, Argentina, and received his undergrad in Latin American studies. He puts up with his wife's shenanigans like a superstar and is the father to three amazing human beings. Molly received her Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Music/Dance/Theatre which launched her into a career as a professional actress, choreographer, voice teacher, and dancer. She has been a backup singer for Tony Award winner Kristen Chenoweth, flown across the stage as Peter Pan, been a dancing nun in Sister Act, and performed across the United States as well as Great Britain as a backflipping pink power ranger and everything in between. You may have recently seen her in the new Lume deodorant commercial. ( We can get into that if you're comfortable talking about washing butt cracks).Molly finds a way to authentically combine her delightfully quirky sense of humor and performing skills with her tragic story in order to bring heart and humor to every television appearance, keynote speech, or podcast episode. You can find Molly running, biking, hiking, or skiing the amazing trails in Park City, UT where she has lived for 17 years. She is married to a conservative attorney who puts up with her crazy antics as is the mother to three insanely powerful tiny humans.
