Join Suzi Steer, founder of The Tree Conference and co-author of Rooted in Ethics, for an insightful conversation on citizen-led reforestation, protecting old-growth forests, and transforming our relationship with trees. Suzi explores the intersection of science, policy, and deep listening with Nature, highlighting innovative projects, grassroots movements, and cultural shifts that are reshaping how we care for Earth's ecosystems. This session inspires new ways of thinking about trees—not just as resources, but as intelligent, interconnected beings essential to planetary wellbeing.Suzi Steer's mission is to support trees to survive and thrive on Earth in these times. She is the founder of the Tree Conference, an event that brings together scientists, tree-related NGOs, foresters, grassroots communities, creatives, legal experts, tree-speakers and the general tree-loving public. Suzi's specialism is in the relationship between human construct systems (e.g. financial, legal, technological and governmental) and Nature's planetary intelligence system. From her profession as a maths teacher, Suzi's journey into exploring systemic change with individuals, communities and organisations has been through deep listening with trees and plants as experts in Earth's multidimensional living systems. For six years Suzi worked through the UK charity TreeSisters to articulate the Ethics and Nature Relationships that support land, forest and biocultural restoration that honours all beings of Nature as conscious, intelligent and having agency. This involved listening with representatives of Original Peoples and Nations and reforestation practitioners alongside specialists in law and international agreements. The resulting Rooted in Ethics: The Community Tree Stewardship Framework and Practices Guides are co-published by TreeSisters and The Fountain, a US 501c3.Learn more about Suzi and her work at thetreeconference.comSupport the show
Menstrual cycle awareness can guide us to create more rest in our lives, including a mini menstrual sabbatical each month to renew us and restore our connection to joy. Our guest today, author, poet and teacher Edveeje Fairchild has been a devotee to rest for her entire life, having been raised in a spiritual tradition that honoured the weekly sabbath. And this non-negotiable rhythm of rest has been one of the key practices that has formed her philosophy of joy as a compass for our lives.Edveeje's first book, Joy as the Compass: Freeing Yourself from the Seven Activist Addictions has just been published. Today we're exploring how menstrual cycle awareness is a vital ingredient to a joy-focused life, through the lens of our environmental activist work together, and how we applied menstrual cycle awareness and cyclical living within the reforestation non-profit TreeSisters to plant a million trees. Edveeje also shares generously from the midst of her menopause transition, which has included the trauma of the sudden loss of her beloved twin sister, as well as the devastation of her small mountain town due to hurricane Helene. We explore how her connection to the ancient trees and wild nature in the ‘Mother Forest' around her have held her in this sacred menopause territory, even when life feels like death. We explore:What it means to be the ‘dream of the earth', how our menstrual cycles can help us to reconnect our inner nature with our outer nature and show up in our full glory, on behalf of Life itself. How Edveeje used menstrual cycle awareness to create all the policies, procedures, internal operations and organisational planning tools at TreeSisters, and anchor the theory of menstruality in very practical ways inside an emerging international non-profit. How Edveeje's discovered that her inner spring was her challenging hotspot in the menstrual cycle, and how this eventually led her to take a long sabbatical and follow the promptings of her menstrual cycle towards deeper joy. ---Receive our free video training: Love Your Cycle, Discover the Power of Menstrual Cycle Awareness to Revolutionise Your Life - www.redschool.net/love---The Menstruality Podcast is hosted by Red School. “Midlife is when those dreams we had when we were young but put aside to earn a living or raise a family can finally be revisited; it's never too late to be what you wanted to be”. This is the philosophy of Noon, a community for women in midlife created by Eleanor Mills. Eleanor experienced her own reckoning with midlife after leaving her job with the Sunday Times, confronting an empty nest and dealing with Covid. She embarked on a journey to explore new ways of living and find her “next act”. In this classic episode, Eleanor and Andrew discuss shifting your perspective on midlife and seeing it as a space without a map. Unlike your twenties, thirties and even forties, there are few expectations around family and career, meaning you can chart your own way and be what you've always wanted to be. If you're feeling lost or alone after decades of putting other people first, or are exhausted dealing with midlife stresses like divorce, bereavement, redundancy, difficult teens, elderly parents or health problems, then this is the episode for you. “Well-being is a system-wide concept. Being well means not just the well-being of one individual, but of everything and everybody. For one to be well, ALL must be well, and for all to be well, evolution must be continuously moving in alignment with the impetus of the universe, thereby allowing for the flourishing of life. If life is flourishing, everything is aligned with the evolutionary impetus of the Dao.” Frederick Tsao from Dawn of an Era of Well-Being (page 38)* Today we are pleased to be joined by Katie Hill and Jarvis Smith, co-founders of My Green Pod Ltd., a socially conscious on-line retailer of a variety of products ranging from clothing to housewares to food and drink. My Green Pod is an independent, family-run UK business, with a compelling mission to lead the way to making it easier for consumers to behave in a sustainable fashion. With every product on their shelf, they endeavor to share the real stories behind the brands and people; working tirelessly to offer ethical alternatives to mainstream products and services. In order to make this reality they meet and connect personally with the owners of the companies with whom they work. Plenty of businesses are cashing in on the trend towards natural and organic products, but if those companies are cutting corners to be the first to market—whether in their packaging, their supply chains, their ingredients, or their staff welfare—they won't be featured with My Green Pod. This isn't something you can check by visiting a website, so they go behind the scenes to investigate the company's entire DNA. The most effective and enjoyable alternatives to mainstream options are featured with their “Hero” products and services, a featured list of their top of the line products. Join us today as Alison and Ervin engage Jarvis and Katie in an in depth exploration of the importance and the challenges facing the creation of a sustainable consumer culture. This will be followed by a few insightful words from co-host Fred Tsao about ethics, capitalism, and the spirit of stewardship.*Note that the audio mistakenly indicates page 60 as the source to this quoteMy Green Pod website: www.mygreenpod.com Jarvis Smith website: www.jarvissmith.com#PutYourMoneyWhereYourHeartIs In Jarvis Smith two worlds collide with dynamic effect. On one hand a proud hippy, mystic, self-confessed tree-hugger and radical eco-warrior, Jarvis is also a thought leader, media entrepreneur, speaker and renowned online retail businessman. His work gracing global publications, he now partners with and is advising brands including Natwest, HSBC, Deloitte, Citrix, the Parliament Trust, Octopus Energy, Yeo Valley and Weleda. He is on the advisory boards for the 2022 Initiative, the good business club, WhereFrom, Zero Carbon HR and the One Earth Show. It was in the middle of 14 years' Shamanic training that Jarvis' true awakening happened, during the filming of 2007 Channel 4 reality TV show ‘Dumped'. Shot on location on a Croydon landfill, the experience opened Jarvis' eyes to the vast devastation human lifestyle waste was having on the planet. It was a realization that was to lead to a lifetime's work protecting the Earth. His first magazine GREEN was published with National Geographic from 2008, which then moved to The Guardian in 2010, evolving into the My Green Pod magazine from 2013. Co-produced with wife Katie Hill, it is now the world's biggest ethical lifestyle magazine. Jarvis launched the P.E.A. (People Environment Achievement) Awards which, in its 12th year, is the UK's leading sustainability awards and honors individuals and teams for their contribution towards sustainability.Spring of 2021 sees Katie and Jarvis collaborate with Jo Wood for the My Green Podcast, interviewing celebrities like Fearne Cotton about their ethical endeavors. Providing shoppers with a healthy, affordable retail space that is good for them, their children, their families and ultimately, the planet, Jarvis and Katie's online eco-conscious store MyGreenPod leads the field in ethical shopping. In October 2021, just before Cop26, Jarvis's TEDX Glasgow talk, “Possibility Consciousness – where do we start with runaway Climate”, encouraged people to stop and re-evaluate their consumer lifestyles and the negative knock-on effect this has on the planet. In the next decade Jarvis' intent is to provide an ethical alternative to Amazon, with real purpose and proper values. As his message and impact spreads, so the My Green Pod project continues to grow in strength, reputation and effect. Prior to co-founding My Green Pod with Jarvis Smith, Katie Hill was a senior writer, researcher and a deputy editor at Which?, and headed up the magazine's Indian equivalent from Mumbai. During this period she was also a contributing co-editor for UK-based GreenSpirit Magazine. With My Green Pod, Katie has combined her experience in investigative journalism with her passions for clean living, transparent business, human rights and the environment. As editor in chief, Katie has exposed a ‘microplastics dodge' in cosmetics, the ‘dark side' of bubbles and ‘second-wave greenwash' from companies cashing in on the growing demand for ethical products. She frequently writes about the importance of detecting corporate sideshows that can slow the shift to a more conscious lifestyle. Katie currently sits at number 13 on the ‘Who's Who in Natural Beauty' Top 25 list of personalities driving change in the sector. She is also a co-presenter on My Green Podcast, a Beauty Buzz columnist for Natural Products News, a regular judge for the coveted Beauty Shortlist Eco Lifestyle and Mama & Baby Awards and a speaker at events including Natural & Organic Products Europe and Fully Charged LIVE.

Clare Dubois has given her life to reforesting the topics as the founder of the not-for-profit, TreeSisters, but her menopause experience is demanding that she take a profound pause. In this conversation Clare breaks down her real-time death and rebirth initiatory process of menopause, from the place she is currently in - the deeply uncomfortable, uncompromisingly thorough, ‘ego-death' part of the initiation. She likens it to being carried downstream very fast - you either struggle against the flow or you let go and trust that the river knows where it's taking you. She's choosing trust, and hard as it may be, she is loving the ride.Trigger warning: Clare talks in-depth about healing her childhood physical and sexual abuse. We explore:How menopause is supporting her to process early trauma and heal the patterns of dissociation that ensued, so she can land in her body and be herself. The deep gift of menopause - how it is uprooting the patriarchy within her, especially in own work addiction and over-responsibility.What to do when we can't ‘let go' in the way Clare has been able to in her menopause sabbatical, and how we can manage the often chaotic menopause process in a world that doesn't honour our initiations. --- You can now pre-order our new book! TreeSisters is a social change movement and a tropical reforestation organization working towards normalizing cultural reciprocity with nature. Before founding TreeSisters, Clare worked internationally for over two decades, coaching business leaders and facilitating group behavior change processes in multiple sectors. Known for her direct, catalytic energy, her inspirational speaking, and her holistic approach to collective transformation, Clare is a walking invitation to anyone ready to step up and step in on behalf of the planet. TreeSisters is a UK registered social change and reforestation charity that places tropical forest restoration into everyone's hands. With a climate catastrophe looming on the horizon, more and more people do what they can to try and turn things around or at least do their bit to slowly steer things in the right direction. The board game hobby is no different. Six months ago my friend linked me to an interview with British entrepreneur and troublemaking activist Clare Dubois because he reckoned “she talks your language, Sarah”. I was moved to my viscera from the moment she launched her gloriously, inspired riff. Clare talks a profoundly wild idea that resonates for me: We are about to send ourselves, as a species, extinct. No one is going to come and save us, but trees might just. Clare is a business coach and founder of the Treesisters reforestation charity and she now lives in California. She's a global leader in arguing that our salvation can be led by businesses embedding trees into every financial transaction. She argues that trees can fix many things... and can teach us how to be boldly human again. Grief is our gateway to change. Have you ever been told you're “too much” because of the crazy amount of feelings you hold? In this episode of The Time of the Feminine, Clare Dubois pours her heart out about feminine leadership and dealing with grief. We've been numbed by generational undigested trauma that labeled crying as weakness, that pain is meant to be handled alone, or that emotions are for “girls” only. Well, all those are lies. Here, Clare shares why we can only heal the planet if we acknowledge its desecration - if we let ourselves grieve the dying trees and shed tears for the suffering of fellow beings. Also, she talks about how she built TreeSisters, ways to overcome our fear of failure, and what it takes to be a feminine leader. Clare Dubois is the founder of TreeSisters, a social change and reforestation charity that activates nature-based feminine leadership while restoring humanity's relationship with nature. What we discuss… 5:30 - How to overcome your fear of failure, and why Clare built TreeSisters 10:43 - Why letting yourself grieve means letting yourself love 14:05 - What made us numb to our relationship with each other and the world? 18:40 - It's love, not hope, that heals grief 24:23 - How to build intimacy with ourselves and one another in our current world 26:00 – Why we fail to receive the kind of love we give 27:13 - Cosmic stain removal: what is it and why do you need it? 31:29 - Why avoiding your feelings reflects irresponsibility 33:30 - The role models women need are those who embody femininity instead of trying to be a man 37:30 - What is Mother Gaia's message to us? Over the course of six studio albums, Ayla has cultivated her style by bucking industry norms and confidently coloring beyond the lines. The self-produced, full-length album Hollow Bone ushered in a global audience, as Ayla dramatically expanded her sonic palate on a series of groundbreaking records with folktronica duo Wildlight. 2016's sophomore solo The Code of the Flowers and later By the Light of the Dark Moon furthered her artistic and spiritual trajectories into new musical territory. Incorporating elements of Celtic melodies, pristine acoustic instrumentation, electronic flourishes, and ancient prose within hip-hop cadences, Nereo possesses an uncanny ability to disarm and crack open the heart. She sings to the depth of our humanness, for the protection of precious wild lands and all living creatures. Her ornate songs splash color across a multi-hued canvas of sound. Often supported by her live band, Ayla Nereo toured the U.S. extensively in recent years; highlighted by four performances at the hallowed Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, as well as international plays in Europe, Australia, Canada, and Envision Festival in Costa Rica. In 2014, Nereo made headlines on the 33-city, nationwide Permaculture Action Tour with The Polish Ambassador. She's also shared the stage with a diverse array of artists including Mr. Lif, Rising Appalachia, Trevor Hall, Medicine for the People, Mike Love, and many others. In addition to music, Ayla Nereo is a filmmaker, dancer, and environmentalist; she has committed herself to bettering the world through her art. She proves to be an activist artist across multiple fronts, partnering with non-profit TreeSisters, an organization that uses concert ticket proceeds to plant trees across the globe. Her song ‘Seeds' was short-listed for an Oscar nomination (Best Original Song for a Documentary), while ‘Flicker' was named 2020 Track of the Year in France's Ziklibrenbib contest.https://www.aylanereo.com *** Support this free podcast by joining the East Forest COUNCIL on Patreon. If you're feeling lost or alone after decades of putting other people first, or are exhausted dealing with midlife stresses like divorce, bereavement, redundancy, difficult teens, elderly parents or health problems, then this is the episode for you. Eleanor and Andrew discuss shifting your perspective on midlife and seeing it as a space without a map. Unlike your twenties, thirties and even forties, there are few expectations around family and career, meaning you can chart your own way and be what you've always wanted to be. Eleanor Mills is a British journalist who has worked for titles including The Sunday Times and The Times. She was the editorial director of The Sunday Times and editor of its magazine until March 2020. 17 million trees planted. That's what Clare Dubois, founder and CEO of TreeSisters, has helped to happen after she ran into a tree, literally. Her tree planting accomplishment is inspiring all by itself. Yet, the power of Clare's message – and the potency of the Tree Sisters movement – is really focused on a paradigm shift, a culture change, and, ultimately, a movement of the heart. We discuss the sacred union of Consciousness & Love as the critical missing piece in global efforts to protect our Mother Earth. In order to make it through this ecological crisis, we must reclaim a sacred, open-hearted connection to the earth… So that we can drop the identity of consumers and become restorers of earth, giving back as much as we take from Her. Clare shares her amazing personal story and how it has fueled her fiery call to all humans… to step into our power as earth guardians. It's a deeply moving transmission, all the way to the very end.
How can simple ways of living in beauty and balance forge effective change in a turmoiled world? In this episode Amisha talks to Jimena Paratcha, mother, community leader, conscious entrepreneur and horsewoman. With 20 years of working in the social justice sector, Jimena is the founder of Action for Brazil's Children's Trust and a founding partner of Street Child United. An activist at heart, Jimena today focuses on campaigning for Fossil Free Sussex and Ecocide Law. She has been initiated into the Siddha Kundalini lineage, Nature Mysticism of Andean Peru and is currently studying Equine Facilitated Therapies. She is a Guardian of the Yawanawa and Tukano people of Amazonian Brazil, a partner of the Akasha Retreat Centre in Rio de Janeiro, a trustee of TreeSisters and a founding member of Friends of the River Medway. Jimena shares her story of origin and key steps of her life's journey as a mother raising three children and as a generous activist supporting communities and addressing the growing environmental crisis. She reveals that her personal healing has helped her move from a place of embodied awareness and balance enabling heart-led choices reflected in her work with TreeSisters and Friends of the River Medway in Sussex, a project that weaves together practical, legal and sacred spiritual priorities to honour and care for the vitality of the local rivers. Amisha and Jimena explore the importance of motherhood and how living atuned to nature's and our own inner cycles provides vital moments of calm that connects us to our inner voice and creativity. We learn that growing practices of spaciousness and stillness will align us with our bodies intelligence, our feelings and physical sensations, rather than our intellect. This simplicity of being in our bodies is a powerful way to bring alive a gentle way of living in beauty and balance, from which we can activate more effective change in our local communities and society at large. Welcome to the Cracking Content Podcast, helping entrepreneurs to amplify their expertise through storytelling, content, and PR so they can get more sales and make a bigger impact. Every business has a story to tell. Don't be afraid to tell it. In this episode, I'm going to be talking to Becca Heaps, the founder of Tentshare, and also the curator of Tentival 2021. It is really exciting to have Becca on the podcast for lots of reasons; we've worked together, she's been a client of mine, she's done some of my courses, and also does coaching with me. But I'm more excited about her new project, Tentival 2021. {1:09} Rebecca: I'm Rebecca, founder of Tentshare, which is a people to people, tent lending platform. So, the idea is that if you've got a tent, it's an asset. So, you can pop it on the Tentshare website and rent it out to someone local to you, and make a bit of extra money at the weekend. But also if you'd like to go camping and you don't want to invest in a big old tent, or invest in a tent that you may only use once or twice, you can go onto the Tentshare website and rent the tent that would be appropriate for your camping trip. {2:00} Rebecca: From that has grown Tentival. I hosted and curated Tentival last year, 10 days after lock down. Because I was absolutely gutted that there was going to be no more festivals, plus I'd launched Tentshare, and I wanted people to pitch up their tents and have a lovely day looking at each other's tents, and having a glorious day outside. So, that's how Tentival started. And this year, I'm bring Tentival 2021, which is coming back bigger, and better, and brighter, and more sparkly than before. {3:09} Rebecca: There are a lot of virtual festivals and events being streamed online. But the thing that's very different about Tentival is it is interactive. {5:01} Rebecca: So, the idea is that you pitch up a tent in your garden, or you go to a park, maybe take a picnic, bring a device. As long as you've got a device and the internet, you can access this festival from anywhere. {10:04} Claire: Can you tell us a bit about your content marketing journey with this business? Rebecca: I launched it February 2020, and then a really lovely friend gifted me a four-week course, Pitch the Press course, which happened to be yours Claire. And it landed in my lap at just the right time. And I went on that four-week course, and my goodness, what a lot of information I learned. And by the end of it, I had pitched. I'd been in The Mirror. I'd had an interview on BBC Radio Kent and I've been in a camping magazine. {12:04} Claire: It's just been phenomenal watching you grow your business and grow awareness about what you're doing. And obviously, you're really active on Clubhouse as well, and you've made some great connections there, which has enabled you to take Tentival to the next level. {12:25} Rebecca: You invited me into Clubhouse. And whoa, it's just been incredible. The contacts that I've made, and the people. And once you're in there and you find your people, and you're all like-minded and in alignment with all your ethos, it's just incredible. It's been great finding people who, at last, I feel like I have a voice, where I haven't felt I've had a voice before. So, it's been wonderful. So, I've got you to thank for that as well, Claire. {12:59} Claire: I think that is probably my mission. I've been redefining it, and it is, it's like helping women amplify their reach, and find their true, authentic voice and share it with the world. I think it's needed more than ever. {16:17} Rebecca: For every ticket sold, we're going to plant a tree. We've teamed up with Tree Sisters, and they do an amazing initiative planting trees where they're most needed and where they're most effective. And tickets are pay as you can. So, we don't want wealth or lack of wealth, especially coming out of COVID, when people haven't been able to work and such, to be a barrier to coming to the festival. During the Covoid-19 crisis, Rebecca curated and hosted the first lockdown, virtual festival, Tentival 2020. In this episode, we are delighted to talk to Pollyanna Darling, the Head of Community Engagement & Strategy for TreeSisters. TreeSisters is a UK registered social change and reforestation charity that places tropical forest restoration into everyone's hands. Through individuals and businesses that give back to Nature every month, TreeSisters has so far funded the planting of over 15 million trees across 12 locations in Brazil, Borneo, Cameroon, India, Kenya, Mozambique, Madagascar, Nepal and West Papua. The Vision: To envision a world in which it is normal for everyone to protect and restore themselves and their world. The Mission: To rapidly accelerate tropical reforestation by inspiring and channelling women's Nature-based feminine leadership into local and global action. Pollyanna, a vital part of the team, talks about how she got involved, what she is doing and the need for effective change, restoration and reforestation. How do we create a world in which everything is sacred? In this episode Amisha talks to Clare Dubois, an environmentalist, social entrepreneur and inspirational speaker. She is the founder and CEO of TreeSisters, org, a global women's movement leading social change and tropical reforestation. Clare's holistic approach aims to activate collective cultural transformation and feminine leadership principles to restore our reciprocity with nature. In this uplifting conversation Amisha and Clare explore we can activate paradigm shifts away from dominant, extractive and patriarchal culture into a thriving reality guided by leadership with feminine principles and in reciprocity with nature. Clare shares that in order to flourish this kind of leadership we need to open up to our infinite possibilities and capacities as humans by falling from our minds into our hearts. Clare talks about her awakening into mobilising women and environmental activism catalysed by a car crash into a tree that gifted her a unique vision of the future. She speaks of the challenges of being an activist for restoring feminine principles and nature in systems that devalue and destruct these. Her organisation Treesisters.org is a powerful antidote; a sisterhood with a call to action to restore our forests and feminine principles. It supports women to restore their relationship with life as an intelligence and history entwined with nature by listening to their deeper truths, redefining and embodying their sovereignty. We learn that we cannot create a new world with an economy that requires death of nature and subjugation of peoples. For a new world to emerge, old systems need to collapse. We need to slow down, listen to our bodies and honour ourselves as miracles in sacred relationship with life. We need to relearn what it means to be human by linking arms with sacred intelligence. That way we will plant beautiful forests for a reciprocal future. Links from this episode and more at www.thefutureisbeautiful.co

Conversations With The Divine Feminine - podcast by Diana Adamko
Judith Rayner is a business coach and trainer and founder of 'Walk and Talk 4Success'Her mission is to create a movement of women around the world using the power of walking to grow and develop both personally and in businesses. Connecting, sharing and inspiring to create a bigger impact and through our charity partner TreeSisters, helping to re-plant the rain forests. Judith realised that she was trying to fit into the wrong shape 'box' and having a huge 'aha' moment that led to the creation of WalkandTalk4Success. She had been coaching for years on a 1:1 basis and was trying to move to an online model Then she listened to something more heart centred and had a big 'aha' moment. It changed everything about her business model and approach to doing things. It taught her that we can't force ourselves into someone else's success model. We have to do what's right and follow what we love and are good at.She moved away from online to in person and bringing walking into her business. Her approach is to help women to have the space to listen to themselves, knowing what they love, what gives them energy and joy and finding ways of working that support and enhance it. and staying on their own path. EP#002 | POLLYANNA DARLING | EMBODIED ECOLOGY Our first conversation is with Pollyanna Darling, she's Head Of Community Engagement and CEO Of Treesisters Austrailia. TreeSisters is a grassroots movement supporting the restoration of our planet through tropical reforestation and the empowerment of women. Pollyanna has been involved in TreeSisters since it was a tiny seed. She volunteered for 7 years before stepping into the core team. She is committed to playing her part in bringing our beautiful Earth back to thriving. As an Intuitive Coach, Pollyanna also spent many years helping women live from their deepest wells of courage and have significant impact on the future of our planet. She is also mother of four boys, an award-winning author, singer, passionate Earthlover, women's empowerment facilitator, and loud laugher. We spoke with Pollyanna about her path to joining the charity, her two near death experiences and how they changed her relationship to life, her prior work helping her clients into wholeness, and her own embodied ecology, along with TreeSisters' mission to reforest the planet through female empowerment. We also spoke about the correlation between the way women and nature have historically been treated, and the vital interconnection between our own innate, natural wellbeing and that of the planet. Pollyanna's killer quote was this - ‘The health of the planet and the health of humanity are completely intertwined and we cannot separate them'. For us that message couldn't be any more clear, or vital. We intend to close all our shows by asking our guests to share a practice that they use to help bring them back to the body and Pollyanna shared a short, beautiful, grounding TreeSister's meditation. We spoke with Pollyanna over Zoom, with us at home in the UK and her in Australia, so there's some unavoidable audio interference, and while the sound quality isn't always ideal, the interview was both moving and resonant. There are 500+ Desire Map Facilitators running programs in 23 countries. Her podcast, With Love, Danielle, ranked in iTunes' Top 10 Wellness category. She's the author of White Hot Truth: Clarity for keeping it real on your spiritual path, and The Fire Starter Sessions: A guide to creating success on your own terms, which also spun off into a coaching curriculum. Danielle was a book publicist and publishing consultant, and the executive director of a future-studies think tank, studying trends for the likes of the Pentagon and the World Bank. Her charities of choice are VDay: a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls; and Tree Sisters setting out to “rapidly accelerate reforestation through Nature-based feminine leadership.” Marianne Williamson refers to Danielle “as a bright light in the modern priestesshood.” Eve Ensler calls her “a force field of energy, wonder, humour, and love.” She now speaks at women's events about consciousness and heart-intelligence, and is a mother to a teenage son. This conversation with Danielle was nothing short of delicious and quite deep. I started out by asking her about her experience stepping into her higher self, her 'You-est You'. I loved her answer, "What else is there?'...short and sweet, yet so profound. We talked a lot about living in truth, connected to your soul self, your higher self or God self. We often doubt ourselves, yet Danielle reminded me that really at the heart of who you are, you know it. You know your truth. We also got into the need for each of us to be more inclusive, loving, aware and awake to the fact that most of our world is set up to distract us and keep you distanced from your true essence. I know I've struggled with taking time away from my phone, pausing to be present and not worrying if I'm missing a client's email or social media post to like or comment on. It's easy to get caught up in distraction and it's important to understand that this feeds into the addiction of not being present with yourself. The aim, as Danielle so beautifully said is to "love with fullness, to be aligned with spirit and allow for your higher wisdom to guide you. It's about living a heart-centered life." You have to want to be free, free from the distractions and negative beliefs, to become awake. "It's a big vow to be devoted to being awake and living in your heart." We also talked about the importance of doing shadow work, which really is the basement of your psyche. It needs to be cleaned up because this is what is controlling your decisions. The inner child work so many of us have worked on is really the unconscious part of ourselves. You want wholeness running the show and ultimately to be more harmonious. Ways to be harmonious and have wholeness: Devotion...become devoted to living in your heart through meditation and cleaning up your energy and mind. Only expand your perception from your heart. Learn to reparent yourself. You'll need to become the mother and father for yourself. Talk to yourself like a loving parent would, for example you might say to yourself: 'Let me look after you no matter what, 24/7. I am here with you always.' The darkness wants you to stay distracted, don't allow yourself to be too distracted to love yourself. Devotion is the answer. Empathy is the skill that will help you and our planet to wake up. We're here to heal and move into Unity consciousness. It starts with you. Wildfire season in Australia has brought human and environmental tragedy. It also has sent a warning to us all. “There's a huge, really very important message for everybody in the world looking at these fires,” Matthew England, a professor of oceanography and climate at the University of New South Wales, explains in the final episode of Global GoalsCast’s Season Three. “This is a glimpse into our future. we only have to take warming levels of the planet to about three degrees Celsius, which we're not far off… We're a third of the way to that warming…(and) the summer we've just had will be basically a normal summer event.” In fact, 2019 was the warmest driest year ever recorded in Australia, with temperatures 1.5 degrees Celsius above the average in the late twentieth century. Edie Lush and Claudia Romo Edelman speak with Australians to understand the impact of these fires. Catriona Wallace, the founder and director of Flamingo Ai, a machine learning company, describes the flaming hell that consumed both her family farm and the neighborhood around her family summer home. “It's like driving through something from a Mad Max movie or through an apocalypse,” she reports. “It's something quite terrifying and extraordinary to experience.” The frightening experience has prompted her to focus her skills in Artificial Intelligence on creating tools to prevent or alleviate fires. She notes, too, that with men in charge things aren’t going well in Australian climate policy. Australia is the world’s largest exporter of coal and had a major hand in derailing the 2019 climate talks in Madrid. Wallace says a new approach is needed, to balance the influence of the coal industry with the needs of other Australians. Wallace, one of the first women to have a company listed in the Australian stock exchange, points out that women are skilled at this broader, multi-stakeholder approach. Empowering women to steward the planet is the goal of Pollyanna Darling, founder of the Australian chapter of TreeSisters, a global organization that raises funds to reforest the tropics and encourages women to seek leadership roles in protecting trees, forests and the overall environment. “We have a political environment that's not particularly favorable to environmental protection and care of the earth, which, because a lot of our economy's based on resource extraction,” Darling says of Australia. “From a TreeSisters perspective, one of the things that we have made it our mission to do is to help human beings to remember who and what they really are. And a part of that is remembering that we ARE nature and that without a healthy, thriving earth, we actually have nothing.” Claudia points out that the United Nations has put Sustainable Development Goal 13, climate action, at the top of the Global Agenda. All three of our guests say they hope, and even sense, that the wildfires will encourage stronger action to curb greenhouse gas emissions. Actions you can take are proposed in this episode by Rob Galuzzo, from the Lion’s Share, a project co-founded by UNDP to encourage corporations to pay into a fund for conservation and environmental protection every time they use an image of an animal in their advertising. Mars Corp., the candy-maker, is a founding partner. In addition, Pollyanna Darling urges everyone to plant trees in their community and support TreeSisters (treesisters.org) in its work restoring tropical forests.
Feminine consciousness, wisdom and leadership are vital ingredients in humanity’s evolution into a “restorer species.” Women, in sisterhood, are poised to take collective action for the environment, for Earth and all her inhabitants. Clare Dubois, Founder of TreeSisters, shares when we experience our natural and Nature-connected selves, through embodied wholeness, we can’t help but care deeply for the health and healing of the planet.
In this fiery episode, Michael and Clare discuss how tree planting could mitigate 37% of the carbon based greenhouse gases; and why supporting the empowerment of women and girls is an important part of combating climate change. They also discuss the importance of feeling and grieving as an integral part of our evolution and survival as a species.

Episode 11 of the Radical Brilliance Podcast is with Clare Dubois, the founder of TreeSisters. Clare is a dramatic example of someone who got a “calling” which she could not but obey. You will hear in this podcast how she had a car accident: drove her car into a tree. It was in those few moments of shock and suspension of normal reality that she heard the voice which gave her the next steps. In a way, we are all in some kind of relationship with that voice, either waiting for it to speak to us, or in resistance to it, or if we are lucky, completely taken over by it. The work that Clare is doing is vitally important to the restoration of the biosphere, but it is also a really inspiring story how we can, all of us, tune into a calling beyond our own immediate desires, fears, and beliefs. 4:05 -- How do you know what you're “supposed to” do? 11:13 -- A mystical moment of divine intervention 17:00 -- Seeding mass behavior change [in the face of planetary collapse] 23:00 -- Are we too late? 30:13 -- What's a good way to lead a human life in order to be part of the solution? 41:00 -- Leading a life of convenience and profit vs saving the planet for future generations 44:00 -- Tree Sisters and the role of the feminine in healing the planet
Dr. Janet Smith Warfield interviews Clare Dubois, Founder of Tree Sisters, who is responsible for the planting of over five million trees to reforest our planet and ameliorate the effects of climate change.
An interview with one of my favorite global nonprofits: TreeSisters. This organization, which I am a part of, is composed of 250,000 women worldwide.. they are currently largely based in the UK and AU, with a growing and thriving presence in the US. Their aim is not only to reforest the Amazon (in two short years they are planting 2 million trees a year and employing local women to do this work); They area also broadly focused on bringing the divine masculine and feminine back into balance. Welcome to a special episode of Unclassified Woman today with the inspiring Clare Dubois. Clare is the founder of TreeSisters, which is a feminine nature-based organisation inspiring the world’s women to take shared leadership around tropical reforestation. TreeSisters reflects Clare’s exploration of the links between feminine consciousness and nature’s intelligence. She and her team experiment overtly to figure out how to call forth the unique capacities and creativity of women on behalf of trees. They aim to be funding ONE MILLION trees per month by the end of 2017! Clare is known for her direct catalytic energy, her whole systems approach to behavioural change and her unending loyalty and love for the natural world. There is only one truth - and that is our indivisibility from nature - Clare Dubois For two decades, Clare created behavioural change processes within the personal growth and social change sectors and volunteered for three years as the UK coordinator for a massive agro-forestry initiative in southern India called Project Greenhands. Her aim in life is to reclaim balance, rediscover freedom and health, and to be walking permission for those who are fed up with being held back and just want to “have a go.” I believe that Clare is a great example of this and a role model for us all. She’s someone who has thrown herself into her life mission, and for me, she explains eloquently how female leadership and eco-revolution are a natural partnership. "I had a complete mind-bending experience realising the depth of ecological destruction that we’re in. I knew it was bad, but I had an educational experience that floored me. I knew I had to do something." Clare Dubois What you’ll hear in this episode: Clare’s background as a business coach and intuitive, working in education and living her passion for consciousness and helping people find liberation; How she went to India to find enlightenment and found Project Greenhands; Why we must realise that our planet is in peril; The combination of spirituality, social justice, and ecology; What it will take to wake up humanity; Clare’s car accident as a catalyst and the personal message she received about reforesting the tropics through the women of the world; The link between women and reforestation within the female receptive space; How today’s people are stealing from future generations; The process of discovering how to engage and encourage; How we live as humans and as women; Embodying the intellectual changes that must come as we deepen our understanding; Cooling the planet by reforesting: all because of CO2 absorption; The mycelial network that links all the trees in a forest; The Amazon rainforest: it’s the size of the moon, but 40% degraded; The rising and falling of water vapour: the heartbeat of the forest that has disrupted the rainfall; Things that happen because of trees: Trees absorb CO2 and trap the heat that causes global warming. If the trees aren’t there, the CO2 dissolves in the oceans and harms the food chain there. We need kelp and trees because they are most effective at sequestering carbon. Why we need to reduce dependence on fossil fuels; Why staying plugged into technology means you can’t listen to your intuition; Clare’s 9-day nature awakening trip and its benefits and correlation to womb awakening; The reality of the blessed life of Western women compared to most women around the world—all amidst the destabilisation of our planet; Clare’s damage from childhood abuse; Yearning to be pregnant, but not wanting a child; Why TreeSisters is everything parenting is about; The profound privilege of women in giving back; Exciting upcoming focus for TreeSisters. Humanity is running out of time, but it’s not over yet. It’s going to take everyone rising to the challenge to get through what is coming. "The single greatest threat facing humanity is fear of failure, but you can call everything you do 'an experiment'. You can’t fail at an experiment; you can only learn." You can access the other interviews in this series by choosing "Natural Lifestyle" at WISHRadio.com. What exactly is a woman? How do we describe the feminine principle? With over 3,000 media messages per day, the majority directed specifically at women telling us how to look, think, be, what to wear, how to make him want you more, how to be successful, slim, funny and fabulous, it’s no wonder there is a lot of confusion, convolution, frustration and depression from both sexes. For the last few centuries the feminine has fallen into the background of a masculine driven patriarchal world, devalued and even used. This has created a deep imbalance on a micro and macro level of our lives. So how can we restore this balance and accelerate the revaluing of the feminine, which we desperately need right now? Just like we can look to nature and the wild to restore our physical health, we can also look to nature to restore the balance of the sexes and the balance in how we interact with the natural world. I am so thrilled to welcome one of my most favorite women ever. Someone who I am privileged and honored to know and share with, and one of the most soulful and courageous women I have ever met. She founded the women-powered global reforestation campaign, TreeSisters, after being delivered a life-changing message in a car crash. She is here to talk with us about nature and the feminine, the importance of environmental stewardship and the audacious campaign that will change the world – TreeSisters. Clare Dakin ... is here to talk with us about nature and the feminine, the importance of environmental stewardship and the audacious campaign that will change the world Dear, dear Clare Dakin. Thank you so much for being here to get a little wild with us today. In this interview, you'll discover: What is the sacred feminine, and how can we tap into it! What really happened during the "Burning Times" and how does it affect our confidence as women still. What can we understand about the power of our menstrual cycles. The most empowering thing every woman needs to know about her relationship to the moon. The unsuspecting start to Clare Dakin's Tree Sisters and their mission! What do you get when an earth-loving sister drives into a tree in an apparent accident? TreeSisters of course. Meet Clare Dubois, change-maker, social entrepreneur, and inspirational speaker who was delivered a life changing message the moment she crashed into that tree.In this episode of MHP, we get to hear her remarkable story- from a tricky childhood to playing mother earth while hating ritual theatre. As earth loving social entrepreneur Clare worked for 18 years creating change processes within the personal growth sector before becoming the UK co-ordinator for Project Green Hands (PGH), a massive agro-forestry initiative in southern India., she is the founder and director of TreeSisters, designed to not just reforest the tropics but also facilitate a shift in consciousness, to re-wild and to rebalance of all humanity, with a core goal of respect and protection for all life on our beautiful planet. Alyssa Wright is an artist, activist and capacity building expert. An accomplished facilitator and consultant, Alyssa works with organizations from East Africa to New England, all focused on powerfully creating social change, especially for women & children. A Co-Founder of the Massachusetts-based Recovery Theatre and a passionate advocate for the arts, Alyssa believes that when we place dignity and love at the forefront of our change-making efforts, there is nothing that we cannot accomplish together on this Earth. Playing Small Moment Because she didn’t feel that she had anything intellectual, philosophical or academic to say, Alyssa felt that her story wouldn’t necessarily help others and didn’t see the importance in sharing it. Alyssa had assumed that everyone experienced the same parental struggles that she had in her youth and that her story was just too common. Ultimately, she underestimated the significance of how she came to be who she was as a person. The Wake Up Call In July 2015, Alyssa had the opportunity to work with women and girls in East Africa with Heshima Kenya, a refugee organization. On her flight to Africa, Alyssa was filled with doubts and felt undeserving of the amazing opportunities that awaited her until she received an encouraging text from a caring friend. Once Alyssa arrived at the safe house, she was greeted by all of the girls, holding their beautiful children. The group took turns sharing their talents and when Alyssa was asked to share hers, she realized that her artistry made her feel more herself than she ever had. Alyssa was inspired and knew how she could make a difference. Style of Leadership Alyssa sees her leadership style as more of a mentorship that becomes kinship that becomes a legacy of doing the right thing. When Alyssa started in the world of philanthropy, she asked a more experienced peer how she stayed motivated when it didn’t seem they were moving the needle at all. The woman replied that they were in fact moving the needle, and to pay attention to the young people that were showing up. Those young people are what keep the movement going. With Alyssa’s leadership, it’s more than just inspiring a young person to work with her, it is making an investment in that person as a whole and making sure they are enjoying the progress, not just the goal. What Are You Excited About? Since last summer, Alyssa has been working with Tree Sisters, which has been an inspiring leadership journey for her. One of the projects they are working on that Alyssa is really excited to be a part of is a global philanthropic strategy that unearths feminine leadership within different communities while also repairing the nature around us. Current Business Challenge After working for Raising Change for seven years, Alyssa became partner and just recently received a certificate to further her leadership in her field. After building a new consulting business, Alyssa is challenged by finding her own identity and voice in an that same industry as a leader and not just an employee. **Please be advised that this interview contains topics that may cause some people distress. Welcome! Today’s SHEro Tabitha Jayne (Tabi), who shares how she went from a troubled young person to a published author, international speaker, eco-psychologist, and natural growth consultant. She helps people create meaningful and purposeful, stress-free lives and businesses with the help of nature. She is the creator of The Nature Process and Tree of Transformation. Join me for an inspiring conversation with Tabi! Tabi’s life turned around when she was 22 and her younger brother, age 17, was killed in a car accident. Until that point, she used drugs and alcohol to mask the pain of a troubled childhood that included being bullied at school and a rape incident at age 16. It was the loss of her brother that motivated her to stop 'wasting her life' and to begin pursuing her dreams. In this episode, Tabi discusses: Tabi realised that our society does not deal with death well. She had to find ways to work through her grief, which led her to rediscover nature that she had loved as a child. She noticed that when she spent more time outside that she felt better. She found trees to have a magical quality and shares the inspirational story of climbing a tree that brought her back into fellowship and harmony with nature. Tabi found a way to merge her two loves of nature and psychology to become an “eco-psychologist.” She learned how to use coaching to articulate and teach others. Tabi shares how her journey of the last five years has involved connecting with others through the power of nature. “The future belongs to those who are nature-smart.”—Richard Louv Tabi addresses the dilemma of how modern society can balance technology and nature. Everything in nature has a path of growth and renewal just like we, as humans, need growth and renewal. Tabi uses the reality of light and dark in nature as metaphors for the stages and steps in our lives. Tabi’s greatest success has been the development of The Nature Process, which is a 5-step online program and now, a book. Proceeds from her program have raised huge funds for Tree Sisters, which supports feminine leadership and reforestation. “When I struggle to have faith, I go to nature. When I couldn’t believe in myself, I could believe in nature.” Biggest Learning: 'Confidence within myself and trust.' To realise how valuable she is and how valuable her knowledge is to the world. Because of her interests, Tabi was so used to perceiving herself as weird one in her family that she didn’t want to share her gifts with the world. It was the most humbling experience of her life to share her knowledge of nature with others and see their transformation. Imagine if it was normal for all of us to give money for trees every month to consciously balance both our taking and our warming....we could reforest our planet in no time. TreeSisters is about building a huge engine of change in the form of a global network of women working together to re-robe the planet as fast as possible. They are developing 3 core strategies: 1) How to build a global network of women, and resource, empower and inspire them to work together to effect major change. A women led global crowd funding campaign for swift reforestation is doable, practical and needed now... 2) How to reforest the tropics within 10 years. How to build a collaborative map of steps to show how money raised in the global north can effect enormous change if deployed through existing reforestation and avoided deforestation initiatives in the field... 3) How to build bridges of care and shared responsibility between the two. Founder Clare Dakin talks with host, Linda Lombardo. This program runs 1 hour 5 minutes.
