Bill Skarsgård Returns as Pennywise in Max's 'Welcome to Derry'

Max has officially announced that Bill Skarsgård will reprise his iconic role as Pennywise the Clown in the upcoming It prequel series, "Welcome to Derry." Skarsgård, who first terrified audiences in the 2017 adaptation of Stephen King's It and its 2019 sequel, It Chapter Two, is also set to serve as an executive producer on the series. Reuniting with Skarsgård are Andy Muschietti, the director of both It films, along with producer Barbara Muschietti and co-producer Jason Fuchs. This collaboration promises to deliver a chilling expansion of the It universe, with big scares tailored for the small screen. Skarsgård's return to the role comes after he confirmed in March last year that he was "not involved" with the prequel. However, it seems the allure of Pennywise was too strong to resist, and he has since signed on to bring the flame-haired clown back to life. Although the series has been in development since 2022, details remain scarce. Even the working title, "Welcome to Derry," is subject to change.

Andy Muschietti will direct four of the nine episodes. Skarsgård, known for roles in Hemlock Grove and John Wick Chapter 4, also stars in upcoming projects The Crow and Nosferatu, releasing later this year.

Welcome to Multiverse News, Your one-stop-shop for Info about all your favorite fandoms. Lucasfilm released the first trailer for their upcoming live action Star Wars series titled The Acolyte. The show will premiere with two episodes on June 4. Though the trailer is a little more than a minute long, it doesn't show its hand too much other than to imply that someone - or something - is hunting and killing Jedi. Marvel Studios head of streaming, television, and animation, Brad Winderbaum, confirmed that the character of Richard Rider/Nova has a project in development. Winderbaum qualified the statement by saying that Marvel Studios is running more like a traditional tv studio and that things can change. Director Patty Jenkins revealed that she is back on board to helm the Rogue Squadron movie after making a new deal with Lucasfilm. Originally announced back in 2020, the project has shifted around due to changes with Jenkins, the potential of it being made into a television show, and more. Jenkins has long wanted to make what she calls a fighter pilot movie for Star Wars DC Studios is going all-in on Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow writer Ana Nogueira who will also pen the live-action adaptation of Teen Titans.  While the original Teen Titans were introduced in the 1960s in DC Comics, the characters have grown and expanded and found a popular audience with the animated show Teen Titans Go! on Cartoon Network. Venom 3 is officially titled Venom: The Last Dance and the release date for the film has scootched up from November 8 to October 25. Ari Aster has assembled an all-star cast for his next film Eddington, which began production last week. Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone, and Austin Butler are set to star in the A24 feature. In April 2023, Variety reported that a Twilight series was in early development. Last week, Lionsgate Vice Chairman Michael Burns confirmed that the project is currently being shopped and that it has shifted to an animated series. New Line's adaptation of Stephen King's Salem's Lot has been removed from Warner Brothers theatrical release schedule and will now debut on Max sometime later this year. It and Annabelle writer Gary Dauberman wrote and directed the film, which has been in flux since the Warner Brothers and Discovery merger. Netflix anthology series Black Mirror will return in 2025 with six new episodes including a sequel to the sci-fi adventure episode, USS Callister. FX's The Bear has quietly been renewed for a fourth season, which will film back to back with the third season. Andy and Barbara Muschietti, the filmmaking team behind the $1 billion grossing It movies and last year's The Flash, have teamed up with Skydance to launch a brand new horror division, named Nocturna. The Muschiettis will co-own the label and run its creative direction. According to industry insider Jeff Sneider, Scarlett Johansson has reportedly been offered the lead role for the upcoming Jurassic World film, currently scheduled for 2025. AMC picked up rights to all four seasons of the post-apocalyptic drama Snowpiercer, including the completed but never aired fourth season. The first three seasons will begin streaming on AMC+ later this year, with the final season set to premiere on both AMC and AMC+ in early 2025. Universal announced the release date for its latest action flick With Love, starring Everything Everywhere All at Once Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan. This marks Quan's first major leading role in his 40 years in Hollywood. With Love is scheduled to hit theaters February 7, 2025. Lionsgate released the first official trailer for the remake of The Crow, which stars Bill Skarsgard. The film releases in theaters on June 7th. CBS Studios announced the voice cast for the upcoming Among Us animated series, which is based on the popular video game. Randall Park, Elijah Wood, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Ashley Johnson will voice the main characters. At this time, the series does not have a release date.

The Flash: "Worlds Collide/Run ( From "The Flahs")Ver Flash – Tráiler oficial - Subtitulado Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/jayaustriaphoto/donations

Cloverleaf Radio's host The Host with the Most Jimmy Falcon welcomes back Author Dacre Stoker, The Great Grand Nephew of Dracula Author Bram Stoker! From Wikipedia:. Dacre Calder Stoker (born August 23, 1958) is a Canadian-American author, sportsman and filmmaker. Stoker was born in Montreal, Quebec. He is the great-grandnephew of Irish author Bram Stoker, the author of the 1897 Gothic novel Dracula. He lived in his childhood in Montreal, Quebec and attended the Bishop's College School. He taught for several years at Appleby College. Stoker is a former member of the Canadian men's pentathlon team. He coached the team at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Because of the Stokers' frustrating history with Dracula's copyright, Dacre, with encouragement from screenwriter Ian Holt, decided to write "a sequel that bore the Stoker name" to "reestablish creative control over" the original novel. In 2009, Dracula the Un-dead was released, written by Dacre Stoker and Ian Holt. Both writers claim to have "based [their work] on Bram Stoker's own handwritten notes for characters and plot threads excised from the original edition" along with their own research for the sequel, though the plot and characters often directly contradict the original novel. This also marked Dacre Stoker's writing debut. Winnipeg Free Press reviewer Kenneth MacKendrick called it "tempting enough to read and bad enough to be controversial, striking a balance between sensationalism and mediocrity". Stoker contributed to Dracula in Visual Media: Film, Television, Comic Book and Electronic Game Appearances, 1921–2010, along with Caroline Joan Picart, David J. Skal, J. Gordon Melton and John Edgar Browning. Stoker directed, produced and wrote the 2011 documentary film Dracula meets Stoker. Stoker, with his colleague Hans C. De Roos, is currently working on a Bram Stoker Dracula travel guide which will identify real-life locations mentioned in Stoker's novel as well as highlight the places Bram grew up in. In 2018, he released Dracul, a prequel to Dracula which he wrote alongside J. D. Barker. Paramount has purchased the rights for the movie. Director Andy Muschietti, It producers Barbara Muschietti and Roy Lee have been hired to work on it. Dacre, his wife, Jenne Stoker, and their two children live in Aiken, South Carolina, where he is the executive director of the Aiken Land Conservancy. Barbara Muschietti. What can I say about this fierce Argentinian woman? She’s the producer of horror films I’d never thought I’d watch, much less enjoy. She is a true inspiration and a freakin’ delight. Barbara produced the record-breaking box office hit “IT,” an adaptation of the Stephen King Novel. The film scored the biggest opening weekend ever in more than 30 markets, crossing the $700 million milestone and making it the highest grossing horror film of all time. The highly anticipated second installment, IT, CHAPTER TWO. comes out this Friday, September 6th. I am terrified and exhilarated and I simply cannot wait. Prior to IT, Barbara produced/co-wrote the feature film MAMA, based on the short film of the same name. The film starred Jessica Chastain and had Guillermo del Toro as the executive producer. It was one of the top earners of 2013. What’s unique and special about Barbara is that she has worked with her brother, writer/director Andy Muschietti, for over two decades. They have collaborated on all of their projects, across film, TV, and commercials. They owed a commercial/TV production company in Spain called Toma 78, where she produced hundreds of commercials for clients like Coca Cola, Mercedes, Pepsico, Ford, and the California Lottery. During part 1 of our chat, we discuss ambitious about oneself, understanding what is ‘soft money’, and how we both jumped the fence into Hollywood. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this week’s episode!

We're back! The featured music is brought to you by director and actress Lisa Hammer from her album Radiana! The second episode of the Official Women in Horror Month podcast is a recap of this past February and a big, huge thank you to all who participated. If we forgot to mention you, multiple apologies. The response was overwhelming in a positive way and we appreciate all the hard work and effort from ambassadors, event organizers, the generosity of sponsors and our Viscera family. Ashlee summarized her event, Philly Loves Women In Horror with a focus on how its purpose was to foster the spirit of philanthropy for your local arts & youth non-profits. By the sheer excitement of audience members and continued partnership with donation recipient Lil Filmmakers, Ashlee's already planning on a bigger platform next year with more films and a Q&A panel that will include co-host Hannah as well as Philadelphia horror mavens Jenny Dreadful and Samm Deighan. La Petite Morgue's Kellie posted a brief recap of the organization's event, Bloody Gore-geous Monologues and shared some next steps for the budding organization. Jovana Dimitrijevic's triumphant quest to pay homage to women horror artists in Serbia, Girls Can Do Horror spanned over the stretch of 10 days as a multimedia showcase of the work and insight these artists are contributing to the horror community. Jovana also had a film screening event on March 8th in Postdam, Berlin Germany. Details can be found on the Facebook page where Jovana continues to share amazing art by talented women! A few WiHM supporters came through with some great PSA's! Shout out to Fem Furry of The Whorer podcast, Tonjia Atomic, and the Soska twins for putting in the time to keep the PSA component alive! Hannah & Ashlee spoke with writer and producer of the Universal Pictures release Mama (2013) Barbara Muschietti about sibling creative partnership strategies, working with Neil Cross and Guillermo del Toro, Mama 2 (?), and the love of horror films. Connect with Hannah and/or Ashlee via email or through the various WiHM social media channels with questions, comments, suggestions and stay in the loop for our future episodes!
