Armstrong about the 1949 Asian Women's Conference in Beijing - the most consequential anti-colonial feminist conference that you've never heard of Elisabeth Armstrong teaches courses on feminist political praxis, with a focus on transnational feminist movements seeking social, economic and environmental transformation. Elisabeth Bührer verlor ihren Mann an Krebs. Von einem Moment auf den anderen war sie allein mit vier Kindern. Obwohl sie ja Kinder hatte, spürte sie doch immer wieder eine Einsamkeit. Besonders in Situationen, die sie jeweils mit ihrem Mann geteilt hatte. Als zertifizierte Trauerbegleiterin ist sie für Menschen in derselben oder einer ähnlichen Situation da. Sie gilt als die berüchtigtste Mörderin aller Zeiten. Bis zu 650 Morde werden ihr zugeschrieben. Die Rede ist von Elisabeth Báthory, der sogenannten „Blutgräfin“. Doch wer war diese Frau wirklich? Kong Leopold ll ville at Congo skulle bli en belgisk koloni. Grunnen til dette var at Congo hadde store gummiplantasjer noe som var nytt når han var konge på 1800 og 1900-tallet. Fra Kong Leopold ll går reisen videre til Attia The Hun (406-453). Han var konge av Ungarn fra 434 til sin død i mars 453. Han drepte til og med sin egen bror for å få makten. Det er ukjent hvor mange han drepte, men han var også god militærstrateg og Elisabeth Bàtory  (1560-1614). Hun var av ungarsk adelsslekt og drepe, flådde lagde mat med og badet i menneskers hud, innvoller og blod. Hun er kjent som en av historiens verste seriemordere. Grunnen til at hun badet i menneskeblod var at hun ville være ung for alltid. Fra Ungarn reiser vi til Romania og Vlad Tepes (1431-1476). Han mistet faren og broren i ung alder noe som drev han til å drepe, partere, spidde og torturere mennesker. Fra Romania skal vi videre til Tyrkia og Ibrahim l 1615-1640. Han er kjent for å ha hatt en trang til å drepe prostituerte på grunn sjalusi og fordi han mistenkte at moren hans hadde utenomekteskapelige relasjoner med de. He lost his father and brother at a young age, which drove him to kill, butcher, spear and torture people. From Romania we are going on to Turkey and Ibrahim l 1615-1640. He is known to have had an urge to kill prostitutes because of jealousy and because he suspected that his mother had extramarital affairs with them. This podcast is the fourth installation in the ANPT Stroke SIG's podcast series about locomotor training.  In this episode, we talk with Dr. Jenni Moore, Dr. Chris Henderson, Dr. Lauren Lenca, and Dr. Elisabeth Bø and examine their project conducted called FIRST (Focused Intensity Repetitive Step Training). This project implemented the evidence-based, as per the recent locomotor CPG, and laboratory tested intervention of high intensity gait training in inpatient stroke rehabilitation facilities and compared its outcomes with traditional care interventions. At all the sites during this project, high intensity gait training was performed for the majority of the sessions as opposed to the traditional PT approach which involves performing multiple different interventions during sessions.  As researchers are aware of and as clinicians can imagine, there may be unforeseeable circumstances and variability in sessions that may affect the degree to which a research-based protocol can be followed with integrity in a clinic. The aim of this podcast will be to discuss the successes, facilitators, barriers, and challenges that different clinical sites had in implementing this evidence based intervention. Wir springen in dieser Folge ins frühe 17. Jahrhundert. Protagonistin ist die einflussreiche ungarische Gräfin Elisabeth Báthory, die im Jahr 1610 vom Vizekönig Ungarns festgenommen wird. Author: Aaron Lessen, M.D. Educational Pearls Patients with an ischemic stroke from occlusion of the left middle cerebral artery often present with aphasia in addition to other neurological deficits. A recent study looked at patients presenting with suspected stroke. Of the 700 patients recruited, 3% had isolated aphasia on exam.  On follow-up, none of the 3% had evidence of stroke on imaging. Ana Orantes conoció a su verdugo en una fiesta del Corpus Christi. Meses después se casarían. Ahí comienza una historia de malos tratos físicos y psicológicos. A ella, pero también a sus hijos. En 1996, cuando el pequeño de sus hijos cumple la mayoría de edad, Ana decide separarse. El 4 de diciembre de 1997 acude a la televisión pública andaluza a relatar la tortura continua que había sufrido en su matrimonio. El 17 de diciembre, su exmarido, José Parejo, la rocía con gasolina y le prende fuego. Elisabeth Bååth i Umeå odlar ostronskivling, shitake och andra svampar i sin trädgård. Frilansreportern Lena Näslund har hälsat på där, och får matnyttiga tips om svampodling. Maj-Lis Pettersson svarar på lyssnarfrågor, bl a om vad man kan laga med squash, om grönsaksflylarver som äter upp blad på tomater och pelargoner och om trips, som hindrar dahliaknoppar från att slå ut. Mysteriet med jordgubbarnas "ploppar" av fruktkött som ibland fastnar på kragen klaras ut. Och Gustaf Klarin är tillbaka som programledare! Här är recepten till Maj-Lis Petterssons squashrätter: Squashpudding (smakar som ostkaka) 5–6 port. 1 kg squashmos Skala och skär squash i mindre bitar. Koka dem mjuka och mosa dem. Låt purén rinna av. Väg purén. 0,5 dl strösocker 4 ägg 5 msk vetemjöl 3 dl mjölk 5–8 st. bittermandlar 10–15 st. sötmandlar Mandlarna hackas fint eller rives Blanda allt i en skål, häll upp i smord, ugnsfast form och grädda ca 1,5 tim i 200°C. Servera med sylt eller bär samt gärna lite vispad grädde. Går bra att frysa. Går även bra att frysa purén på hösten, ta fram och tillaga efter hand. Soppa med squash och purjo 4 port. 600–700 g squash 1 liten purjolök smör eller margarin till stekning 2 msk vetemjöl 1 liter vatten 2 grönsakstärningar 1 äggula 1 dl grädde 1,5 dl riven, lagrad ost (salt, peppar) Skär squashen i 0,5 cm stora bitar. Snitta, skölj och skiva purjon, även det gröna. Fräs grönsakerna i fettet i en gryta, utan att det tar färg. Strö över mjöl och rör om. Tillsätt vatten och smulade buljongtärningar. Koka upp och koka tills grönsakerna är nätt och jämnt mjuka, 5–7 min. Ta grytan från värmen. Mosa gärna grönsakerna med mixerstav eller i matberedare. Blanda äggula och grädde, rör ner det och den rivna osten i soppan. Låt den sjuda men inte koka. Smaka av med lite salt och nymalen svartpeppar. Servera med ost och bröd eller värmda portionsbröd.
